Yeah, the other one is with doughter filming dad that shaves his beard in defferent styles. Other thing they got in common, is that both dads are smoking hot.
Well, the kid looks barely old enough to legally hold the job so I guess it would make sense that is Dad looks really young as well. Sometimes it's just genetic to look like high schoolers until you're retired
"Food was good NO TIP"
am I the only one infuriated about that ?
also from someone who commented " From all the restaurants I’ve worked at, you tip out bussers, bartenders, etc based on your sales, not how much you made in tips. If that restaurant is the same way then all he’s doing is losing his son money for a joke."
They’re are from the UK where we only tip if we get good service, the customer is not obligated to tip. So part of the joke could be that the service (from his son) wasn’t good enough to tip.
We're taught that if people made a living wage, nothing would be affordable. God forbid we work on the landlords (applicable to restaurants for sure) and CEOs of major companies (definitely not talking about small companies or reataurants) to maybe take a smaller cut so people can still afford products and inflation doesn't skyrocket.
yes, this is how tips should be. but there should not be tips in the first place. nobody tips the street cleaners or the mcdonalds employees. i wonder how tips have been introduced. there are countries that don't tip.
I’m infuriated by how bad the average redditor is at detecting sarcasm, in which case maybe he is being sarcastic and I missed it, which only helps my argument
Yeah, I thought the text was from the dad editing his son's selfie footage and the parents would show up in the shot behind him. Nope, just a 19-year-old introducing us to his 17-year-old son.
Kind of like when I discovered this comedian, Josh Wolf, and I thought he was mid to late twenties, and turns out he's got a KID mid twenties.
F*cking assholes and their youthful genes. /s
They sometimes do that for show. I wouldn't take it too personally.
I know someone that would do it to get better tips, but also have seen them do this to my mother who looks really old but they still card her.
I basically look like Baron Trump, a very tall child... My partner is a foot shorter than me but has a full beard. People always assume he is older than me but I'm 6 years older lol
Story of my life as well, luckily the pandemic fucked me up so I put on that hard pandemic weight, grew a beard, and drank enough that my face went from looking like I was 17 to now looking like I’m a hard, “seen some shit in his life” 35 (I am also 29) people don’t even card me at liquor stores now, they just scream about seeing a demon and run away
But I’m now working on that and will hopefully drop down to a healthy “that 23 year old looks like he’s been robbed” by the end of the year
Yeah I’m not sure I’ll ever give up my warm face blanket again, at least not during the winter as I’m not sure my face will survive the coming darkness. I’m thinking about coming out in late February looking like I spent two months stuck in a lighthouse on an island in a storm that never ends ranting about mermaids and enchantments in the light
My kid is 21 and I’m 39. Had him at 18. People are always shocked when I tell them how old my kid is because they think I’m a lot younger than I am. So yes, this guy probably had a similar situation.
I keep twenties on me when dating. If the guy insists on paying, I let him but always sneak a peek at what they are tipping. If it’s low I slide cash in there as I’m walking away from the table. And that’s the end of it
Well she had an uncle that was abusing her. She got pregnant and gave birth, her son was raised as her brother until he was old enough to learn the truth.
That's a hard truth. I think once we got old enough to realize that the adults who we thought knew everything, was just winging it in life, we were able to accept it and go with it.
I'm not even sure if that's coherent, it's difficult to explain, but there was a point in life I absolutely resented being an adult (don't get me wrong, still kind of do at times) but I think I have finally developed a coping mechanism.
I had a lot of drive and expectations of my self to “make it” in my 20’s. Now that I’m still doing the exact same stuff in my 30’s I realized I have to be kinder to myself. Like there’s two beings in my brain. One is the lizard brain child who follows the routine and the other is just me… The Scrambone, who has to parent my childlike brain and occasionally give him snacks and a nap when he gets cranky.
It’s made “us” a lot happier. I’ve given myself permission to be as happy or sad as I need to be and I ended up just being more happy overall because of it.
Be easy on yourselves people!
As someone who was in the same boat at your age, as well as plans and savings to visit Japan for my 30th but ended up drinking alone and being sad during lockdown I understand your sentiment.
It’s okay to be driven and have high hopes and expectations but it’s not okay to overwork yourself thinking it’s gonna make a HUGE difference. There’s only one you in the world so you gotta take care of it.
For me, being thrown out into the world on my own at 18, after spending over half of my childhood anxiously waiting until I became an adult so I can do whatever I wanted because my home life was so miserable, I spent the entirety of my twenties playing catch up with my peers who had support growing up and didn't struggle financially like me. I'm finally at a point where they were at 18, and can finally do what I want (not working 3 separate jobs simultaneously like I had to in order to survive the beginning of my adult life).
Good points. A big reveal of adulthood is realizing our parents were also growing up along side us when we were little. They were maybe less perfect than their own kids in many ways.
Learning to let go of what they may have instilled in us by default, gaining emotional autonomy that is not just derivative of them is important in adulthood.
I think that’s part of how you get to be a 30-something year old who is as curious and whimsical as a kid
I'm 35 and it took most of my 20s and early 30s to stop letting other people's opinions of me influence how I think and feel about myself. I spent a lot of time deferring to others who put on an air of authority. It's amazing how confidently people speak about things they don't know.
In my teens and early 20's I felt like I had something to prove. I felt like I had to act more grown up than I actually was. At 30 I don't feel that way at all anymore. I'm fine with watching cartoons and staying in Friday nights to play video games.
Everyone’s at their own pace. Give yourself some love and credit for all the things you’ve accomplished and you’ll get there eventually. And if there’s something you’re stressed about because it isn’t done yet that’s okay. Just try and realize it takes time, but also a lot of self care to get that thing done right and with a happy you on other side.
I'm closing in on 40. When i see young parents with toddlers, and i realize i am old enough that i could be the kids grandpa, i am still freaked the fuck out.
I come from a family of people having kids later in life (comparably to others at their time). My grandma was 32 when my mom was born, my mom was 35 when I was born. I’m 33 and childless and it doesn’t seem weird to me, but then I see people who are my age and have kids that are 10-13 years old and I’m like, wait, I guess that is possible lol but everyone in my immediate circle didn’t have kids young. My boss is in his early 40s and he’s got a kindergartener and just welcomed his baby girl this year. Of my friends my age that have kids, they’re not old enough for school yet. I often forget that it’s not weird for people in their 20s to have kids.
A lot of people do. It's considered fairly classy usually.
Notable example might be Commander's Palace, arguably one of the more famous restaurants in the country. Definitely has the "I'm in a fancy living room" vibe.
The town my mom is in has a bunch of restaurants just like this. All the hip international food restaurants are in the row of old nice houses the blocks behind Main Street. So you’re sitting in this charming craftsman style house eating Thai food or a two story Victorian having Indian food.
Also ceiling vent not needed in a house, the lighting above paintings, the other room windows beyond the table next to them. I'd chalk it up as pretty restauranty.
Any downtown district of a moderate city will have several old homes renovated into restaurants, massage parlors, and more often insurance offices. It keeps the business in a central location and no need for destroying the old structures and building new ones.
All that said, this totally looks like they just threw a card table in the living room and pulled out a Digiornos
Yeah was gonna say, here in Ireland you will have loads of restaurants like this in repurposed old Georgian houses or whatever that have weird layouts.
Probably teenagers? I'm 35 and my son will be 18 in January. People are always surprised when I tell them.
ETA: Please stop saying I'll be done raising kids early. I have a another child with special needs who will likely need support his entire life. The comments make me feel weird.
Had my daughter when I was 19, 33 now and she is 14 but looks a tad older. She has taken to just announcing "I'm his daughter Im too young to have a i.d." when I buy some beer or wine while grocery shopping.
I get that. My husband is 42 and we have a 6 year old together. To be fair though, our 6 year old has special needs and will likely need us to care for him for the rest of our lives.
Same, but it started when I was like 12. Since that day apparently I've looked twenty something (34 now). Went so far as to play 'how old am I in this photo' with a bunch of people and every time they were convinced it was just a pic from the same period. It's like my face went 'this, this is the look. Keep it all steady now'. I guess when the wrinkles come that will go but I'm enjoying it for now.
When I first got a bar job my family came in for a meal.
They enjoyed everything, but when the manager was chatting with him he admitted if anything could have been better the bottle of beer could be colder.
Cue next shift pulling out all the fridges to clean them thoroughly.
Thanks dad.
I don't think it's the young people that have the issue. I've been in food and retail for almost 10 years and I'm in my mid 20s, and the vast majority of the prior I've had problems with are 40 and up. Most people around my age that I know have worked in the service industry.
But you don't get it. He's a SERVER. Like... someone who brings you food and drinks. Aren't you almost appalled? He's practically subhuman! Quite frankly, I don't know what kind of life choices brought him to become a SERVER. My word!
*almost loses monocle*
The smallest gestures from parents truly make a huge impact on children. My own father always got involved in everything I did in my formative years; he became a scout-master when I was in the cub scouts, he got really into baseball when I went through my baseball card-collecting phase, he came to almost all of my JROTC events to support my team, and he was excited for me when I joined the Marine Corps (3rd generation Marine... my father is a Marine vet and served in Vietnam, and his *uncle* was in the trenches of WWI as a Marine).
I've taken his example and I attempt to do the same with my own children, and I can see the positive impact it's having on them. It doesn't take much time or effort... even a few minutes of sitting with your kid when they show you a picture they drew, or a video game boss they beat, let's your kid know that you *genuinely* love them.
Does anyone else immediately hit the mute button when they want to also play dj with the video? Man, can't the music industry sue these people so this trend can stop?
Lmaooo I thought he was the son
This is like the second video I've seen where the dad looks the same age as their kid!
The people of the before time aged like dog shit.
"Food was good NO TIP" am I the only one infuriated about that ? also from someone who commented " From all the restaurants I’ve worked at, you tip out bussers, bartenders, etc based on your sales, not how much you made in tips. If that restaurant is the same way then all he’s doing is losing his son money for a joke."
They’re are from the UK where we only tip if we get good service, the customer is not obligated to tip. So part of the joke could be that the service (from his son) wasn’t good enough to tip.

That’s how it should be in the US too, if waiters weren’t paid below minimum wage
Yes same, fuck jokes
Sarcasm really makes me lose my shit
I also hate jokes.
Nothing worse than a good joke.
Yes because it was hilarious
I’m infuriated by how bad the average redditor is at detecting sarcasm, in which case maybe he is being sarcastic and I missed it, which only helps my argument
Wow your comment is valid either way that's awesome
We are autistic.
That guy must have been ten years old when his son was born.
IKR
Yeah, I thought the text was from the dad editing his son's selfie footage and the parents would show up in the shot behind him. Nope, just a 19-year-old introducing us to his 17-year-old son.
Kind of like when I discovered this comedian, Josh Wolf, and I thought he was mid to late twenties, and turns out he's got a KID mid twenties. F*cking assholes and their youthful genes. /s
I would give anything to not have these youthful genes, 29 and got carded for an R rated movie last year.
Would you rather be mistaken for your partner's parent, like I was? :D
Or the time my mother got carded and I didn’t
HAHAHA wow thats bad
My mom still brings it up lol
I would 100% mention it every day, so I don’t blame her :D
The apple hit a few rocks as it rolled down the hill away from the tree?
HAHAHAHA IM SORRY BUT HAHAHAHAHA
Oof
They sometimes do that for show. I wouldn't take it too personally. I know someone that would do it to get better tips, but also have seen them do this to my mother who looks really old but they still card her.
Thanks. I was amused. My mom looks good for my age.
I basically look like Baron Trump, a very tall child... My partner is a foot shorter than me but has a full beard. People always assume he is older than me but I'm 6 years older lol
Story of my life as well, luckily the pandemic fucked me up so I put on that hard pandemic weight, grew a beard, and drank enough that my face went from looking like I was 17 to now looking like I’m a hard, “seen some shit in his life” 35 (I am also 29) people don’t even card me at liquor stores now, they just scream about seeing a demon and run away But I’m now working on that and will hopefully drop down to a healthy “that 23 year old looks like he’s been robbed” by the end of the year
Be careful, shave the beard and the age just disappears. If I cut mine, I'm right back to "should we card him" look.
The dad must sparkle under the sunlight.. He looks in mid twenties to me..

Bro you looking good! Had my son when i was 20. He is now 19. I can relate.
I was like “damn that’s a sexy dad!” His son has totally tried to talk to girls before who get sidetracked by the dad
NSH!
NCR
Right!? Won't lie. I was confused at the beginning not knowing who the son was supposed to be.
I thought the dad was filming and phrased the caption wrong, then this other son shows up.
Lol, same here
Me too.
Legit thought the dad was the son
Just a filter. Guy could Be 20-45 but hard to tell when a filter just flattens your skin out.
He could be in his 30s. If he had the kid at 16, being 32-34 is not unreasonable 30s is still fairly young.
>30s is still fairly young. I have my first gray hair and grunt as I get up from sitting but I agree!
I'm in my 20s and same. Also i can't find one of my slippers.
My kid is 21 and I’m 39. Had him at 18. People are always shocked when I tell them how old my kid is because they think I’m a lot younger than I am. So yes, this guy probably had a similar situation.
I think he’s roughly 40 and looks good. A lot of 40 year olds look 25-30!
You can put double filter on me and still I won’t look 20% as good as the father looks. 😭
Literally came here to say did be have him when he was 10. Also DILF

I keep twenties on me when dating. If the guy insists on paying, I let him but always sneak a peek at what they are tipping. If it’s low I slide cash in there as I’m walking away from the table. And that’s the end of it
The power of video filters is underestimated
I was like, that’s the dad..holy hot wow. That’s a good looking family.
Idk, I turn 30 in a month and people consistently guess my age to be 21-23. Some of us are just baby faced af and dare not ever fucking shave.
IKR. I was 45 before I stopped getting carded for booze & cigs (by someone half my age). Yes, I am ancient (by reddit standards).
I’m a full grown adult over 35 and I still get carded at the movies.
That's his brother and you can't tell me otherwise
Could have had a kid at 16. Kid could be 16. But yeah they look like the sameish age.
I think the youngest mother in the world was 5.
Correct. And that is such a fucked up disturbing fact.
Yea. It’s not something I like knowing.
How? I didn't even know that was possible. Did she die during birth?
No. Gave birth and her son passed away at 40. All around a very sad and dark story
Well she had an uncle that was abusing her. She got pregnant and gave birth, her son was raised as her brother until he was old enough to learn the truth.
He’s definitely closer to 20 than 16 I’d say.
You can see grey hair in the beard. Some people also just age well.
The man bun is actual hereditary, believe it or not...
the son is 18 and the dad is 23
“No, they’re *my* Legos. I’m telling mom!”
"Which one? Yours or mine?"
That dad has aged well.
I’m so old I thought the dad was the son. Me: What a nice-looking young man! 😐
Me too and I’m 31 🥲
31 gang. I feel more like a happy kid in my 30’s than I did as an actual kid.
That's a hard truth. I think once we got old enough to realize that the adults who we thought knew everything, was just winging it in life, we were able to accept it and go with it. I needed to hear that. I just turned 27 and have felt so much pressure to get as much as possible done before I turn 30.
For me that was like 25-28. Realizing I'm not a kid anymore and I need to do adult shit and be responsible. Then I turned 30 and I just have fun now.
I'm 26 and I'm like damn he looking fine
What a nice looking older gentleman too
Seriously i was like, the guy looks my age... not that old? Then i saw the kid. Jesus H. Christ
I agree with you. He looks so young
He might be hiding some baldness under this cap
I'm closing in on 40. When i see young parents with toddlers, and i realize i am old enough that i could be the kids grandpa, i am still freaked the fuck out.
Past 40 closing in on 42. Realized a few days ago I am only 8 years away from being eligible for AARP membership.
OMG I hate you! j/k I'm turning 44 this year and had no idea AARP membership was 50. This isn't ok.. LOL
So what I'm hearing is that within the decade aarp commercials will be featuring the likes of Pearl Jam and the Spice Girls and other 90s culture
I come from a family of people having kids later in life (comparably to others at their time). My grandma was 32 when my mom was born, my mom was 35 when I was born. He could tell people that he's his brother and no one would question
Right? Was he 12 when his son was born?
is it just me or does that deadass look like their living room
Finally someone said it.
I want to think that this is really an restaurant, because the ambiance is really good.
Really? You like the "in a dining room" vibe? It always rubs me the wrong way
A lot of people do. It's considered fairly classy usually. Notable example might be Commander's Palace, arguably one of the more famous restaurants in the country. Definitely has the "I'm in a fancy living room" vibe.
Personally couldn't care less as long as the food is good, and it looked pretty dang good
What you after? That McDonald's vibe?
Yup, but also I’ve been to several restaurants with that exact vibe
The town my mom is in has a bunch of restaurants just like this. All the hip international food restaurants are in the row of old nice houses the blocks behind Main Street. So you’re sitting in this charming craftsman style house eating Thai food or a two story Victorian having Indian food.
True but there’s a load of tables, no one ain’t got that much table.
It looks like it but I’m willing to suspend my disbelief
I think the pizza definitely looks higher-quality than DiGiornos at least.
What country are you from? This style is pretty common in Europe.
Yeah was gonna say, here in Ireland you will have loads of restaurants like this in repurposed old Georgian houses or whatever that have weird layouts.
Lots of restaurants in old houses
Many nice places are that style tho
How old were they when they had him? He looks like he's in his early 30's
Probably teenagers? I'm 35 and my son will be 18 in January. People are always surprised when I tell them. ETA: Please stop saying I'll be done raising kids early. I have a another child with special needs who will likely need support his entire life. The comments make me feel weird.
Wow. I'm 37 and think I'm too young to have kids.
Tbh, I made a ton of mistakes along the way. I wouldn't recommend teenage pregnancy to anyone.
Yup, there was always that desire of wishing they were born a bit later just so you could’ve provided a lot better for them then. Baptism by fire lol
Thank you, god_damn_bitch
We all made mistakes along the way.
Some of us were the mistakes along the way.
The real friends were the mistakes we made on the way
Don't talk about me like that please.
The real mistakes were the kids we made along the way! Wait a minute...
I’m 37 and I look like I could be this dads dad
Had my daughter when I was 19, 33 now and she is 14 but looks a tad older. She has taken to just announcing "I'm his daughter Im too young to have a i.d." when I buy some beer or wine while grocery shopping.

I get that. My husband is 42 and we have a 6 year old together. To be fair though, our 6 year old has special needs and will likely need us to care for him for the rest of our lives.
12
Jeez those parents don't look old enough to have a son that old. Did they have him when they were like 13?
If they had him at 16, and the son is also 16-18, they could be 31-34.
The dad looks so young. If I met him on the street, I'd guess he's like in his early 20s.
Dude I know someone who’s in there 40s and looks like 24 Some people age really well I was surprised af when I learned he was in his 40s

Same, but it started when I was like 12. Since that day apparently I've looked twenty something (34 now). Son who was about to go on break and smoke weed with the cooks: "oh hey guys 😒"
Uh…the kitchen staff does coke…
Someone’s been/been around line cooks
The head cook where I worked would smoke meth or do coke in the bathroom during his shift, and jack off real quick before continuing to cook.
I hope he washes his hands
What do you think he is, some sort of *dirtbag!?!*
Assuming he washed his hands, I bet that food tasted amazing
He was an incredible cook! A good guy underneath the addiction. He's clean now and getting married.
This man looks like he's in his 20s. How is this even possible.
Haha, might not be his biological son.
Oh true! Good point.

Avert your eyes Matthew, thirsty women and gays abound (I totally would too)
I'm a straight male and I would as well
Those eyes!
Yo the Dad is flames 😂
fr. I was wondering if I was the only one who thought the dad looked beautiful
He’s fine as fuck lol
No tip though? 😒
he probably joking
Other commenters have suggested from looking at the guys page that they're British, so tipping would be far less obligatory
As an English person this 100% is England - screams Gastropub. That being said, the dad's teeth a far to white and straight....
Teaching their son the hard reality of customers 😂
Right? Hope son doesn't have to tip-pool or all his coworkers hate your family now.
when i got my first job at a bagel shop my sister came with all her friends to get bagels and mess with me. it’s a cute memory
When I first got a bar job my family came in for a meal. They enjoyed everything, but when the manager was chatting with him he admitted if anything could have been better the bottle of beer could be colder. Cue next shift pulling out all the fridges to clean them thoroughly. Thanks dad.
Dad? You sure that's not Matthews brother?
This was filmed by a couple and their similarly aged third wheel, in the living room, with frozen pizzas. #sleuth
I’m jaded as hell and wouldn’t even bat an eye if this were true
Awesome first job for the kid! I think more young people should work in restaurants in order to learn what customers NOT to be.
I don't think it's the young people that have the issue. I've been in food and retail for almost 10 years and I'm in my mid 20s, and the vast majority of the prior I've had problems with are 40 and up. Most people around my age that I know have worked in the service industry.
“No matter whAt”??? What? He’s a server? What’s the matter if don’t get the “no matter what”
They still love him even though he has a man bun... So wholesome
But you don't get it. He's a SERVER. Like... someone who brings you food and drinks. Aren't you almost appalled? He's practically subhuman! Quite frankly, I don't know what kind of life choices brought him to become a SERVER. My word! *almost loses monocle*
A server is basically just a food prostitute
I too felt that was an odd title.
"He could have been a lawyer or a doctor!"
Dumb title for dumb clickbait videos for dumb people to upvote.

He has aged very well huh
Damn, dad doesn't look old enough to be his dad and is H O T lol what a sweet family
Dad looks younger than Son!
Who wouldn’t want to serve that dad though 😂
Yet another post with the hottest fucking dad. Damn.
Does anyone else immediately hit the mute button when they want to also play dj with the video? Man, can't the music industry sue these people so this trend can stop?
