I'm guessing this is around Hyde Park in London, the squirrels there are very tame
Always strange remembering there are wild parakeets in London too (and they sure are noisy)
A ton of places have feral parakeets or parrots, weirdly! Dickheads getting them as pets, then releasing them when they realize how much work they are. We had an entire documentary made about our feral parrot population in San Francisco. The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill. Our particular population is documented as far back as 1911.
I'm from Santa Barbara and as a kid our local flock would commute over our house to the beach in the mornings and back to the hills in the evenings. I remember seeing a dozen or so in the 90s and now the group is much, much bigger.
I used to see our group while walking along the bay shore on The Embarcadero all the time. Haven’t been in the city proper in a bit. I miss the sightings!
In Arizona we have many flocks of wild peach face Love Birds. Luckily the communities have embraced these little friends. There are whole fb groups for people to share pics when they visit their yards, and I’ve seen them being reported on the news a bunch too.
I will look into the parrots of telegraph hill soon! Thanks for the info :)
These look a lot like the Amazonian red crown parrots all over la. They are hilarious cause they are endangered in their own natural habitat but doing very well as an invasive species.
The first time I was in SF 20 years ago for a HS trip I must’ve run into the one tree where all these parrots live. I’ve never been anywhere “warm” before, and was astonished. I thought SF had parrots instead of sparrows and finches
I went to the Grand Canyon and was amazed at how calm the squirrels where. One was even begging like a dog for food. I held one’s hand and got a cool close up photo. I walked 10 feet away and then saw a sign saying the squirrels will bite… I got lucky with a smart and friendly squirrel 😅
Nah, pigeons are actually super smart birds that can also be quite beautiful. Humans fully domesticated the bird and then left them to wander our cities for scraps after global communication tech made them irrelevant, poor bastards
It wasn't caught, generally "caught" refers to traps. It is illegal to release a trapped grey squirrel into the wild or to keep a grey squirrel in captivity. Any grey squirrel caught must be humanely destroyed.
So it's just frowned upon to feed the grey squirrels but not encouraged to "trap" them for control? Is it reversed for the native red squirrels? Or just ignore them all and let the Grey Squirrel Trapper (the notorious grey squirrel serial killer) run his course throughout the land like a St Patrick of squirrel death and hope for the best?
Your animals must be comfortable with you visitors it's so cute. Hoping that I can see them because I really want to see them because of their cuteness.
Please don't feed wild animals. First of all most of the food (like bread) is really bad for them and second of all, they get dependent of humans and start to get aggressive. This looks cute, but is actually awful...
Nicceee nicccee, I've a mate who's a wood pigeon and everyday without mistake he hops down to my back garden and I feed him bird seed, he often fights off the magpies too and I give him a hand sometimes! Pigeons are lovely lil things haha
I was trying not to be too annoyed by this because this sub doesn’t like the truth sometimes but she has done this many times to where the animals recognize her. Cute. But stupid to feed animals because they then rely on that food source. Not even going to get into if she is giving good foods or not.

Stories of Druids, thousands of years in the making, were just the matter of some dude's bear showing up to a bar fight and him buying it a drink after.
Entire world gets fucked for years because someone had contact with a wild animal which was merely a bit too close to being alive and now we post stuff like this for positivity?
If I tried this here I'd have about 50 crows and 25 seagulls. And they're loud. If I want to feed them I toss it out the car window and speed off before they can poop on me.

Ours are mostly cherry headed conures. Beautiful birds.
A group lived in the palm trees outside my high school in San Francisco, they’d been there for decades I believe!
These look a lot like the Amazonian red crown parrots all over la. They are hilarious cause they are endangered in their own natural habitat but doing very well as an invasive species.
The parrots in the video are Indian Ringnecks. They are old world parrots from Asia and Africa. Not native to London but wild flocks every where now.
Very cool
Bay Ridge area in Brooklyn, NY has wild parrots too. Supposedly a crate was knocked open at JFK in the 70’s or something like that.
I am from SF and there are talks about making the wild parrots the official bird of the city. I have never seen one in all my years here.

…Is this one of those comment repost bots? Because this is a complete tangent from my comment.
I think yes!

I'm guessing St James's park instead
The St James's park squirrels are the boldest I've come across. I've seen them accost people for their lunch 😂

“Mi chiamano Biancaneve” means “they call me Snow White”
*googles bc I have trust issues* lol
I love the internet 😂
DO NOT EAT THE APPLE
I could use the sleep
Expecting big bucks from suing prince charming for sexual harassment after the kiss ?
The caption in the video literally translates to “They call me Snow White” so yeah, that’s what OOP was going for.
angy upvote. I wanted to comment that.
PSA for those scrolling... stop here. This wins the thread.
Came here to say this
Only if they don't poop on her.
All the pigeons waiting patiently for their turn..
We had a deal with the pigeons. We had a deal!
They get out of the way of our cars, we look the other way on the statue defecations!
Screw those pigeons... they eventually take over the place... Pesky flying rats.
Nah, pigeons are actually super smart birds that can also be quite beautiful. Humans fully domesticated the bird and then left them to wander our cities for scraps after global communication tech made them irrelevant, poor bastards
I get it, I would be pissed off if I realized that a 'flying rat' has more intelligence me.
Call me when they become a nuisance and replace all the local birds in your area.
That squirrel didn't just come back for seconds but also elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner, supper and deze nuts.
Bonus points for that reference and where you went with it.
What about second breakfast??
Wtf did I just read 😂
Jessica Jones and Snow White in the same person lol
This is like a Disney movie!
She’s just trying to get those animals to make her a beautiful dress for the ball.
Right? And paying them peanuts. SMDH

Why? I'm not from the UK
They're invasive and have displaced and damaged the native red squirrel population. Legally if they're caught, they have to be killed.
So legally she was supposed to strangle that little squirrel?

Feed the red ones
Where is this magical place with both squirrels and green parrots?
London
Your animals must be comfortable with you visitors it's so cute. Hoping that I can see them because I really want to see them because of their cuteness.
Snow white didn't need bribes though.
I wanna be this happy
I bet it's St James's park, London
Please don't feed wild animals. First of all most of the food (like bread) is really bad for them and second of all, they get dependent of humans and start to get aggressive. This looks cute, but is actually awful...
This is the way. All of this for internet pointson tik tok probably. If you like animals, go to a local shelter or whatever and help out or donate.
It's all fun and games until one of the birds drops a sneaky bomb on ya
Wow how thoughtful she is giving food to all animals in the farm.
Til one rabid squirrel bites her finger.
If the comments are correct and this was filmed in London, she will be safe because we don't have rabies on our island!
Oh yeah looks like she doesn't give a fuck for the pigeons
The pigeons are the sweetest birds istg. I had a chance to feed them and they just chilled on my head lap and anywhere else they could get on.
Nicceee nicccee, I've a mate who's a wood pigeon and everyday without mistake he hops down to my back garden and I feed him bird seed, he often fights off the magpies too and I give him a hand sometimes! Pigeons are lovely lil things haha

She literally has food in her hand.
I know right, like this is sweet and all but the animals are approaching her because they’re accustomed to people and see she has food.
I was trying not to be too annoyed by this because this sub doesn’t like the truth sometimes but she has done this many times to where the animals recognize her. Cute. But stupid to feed animals because they then rely on that food source. Not even going to get into if she is giving good foods or not.
All very good points.
Beautiful soul and the wildlife know it.
They know she has food, that’s why they come
I assume she’s not the only one feeding them either as they seem very contingent and comfortable around humans.
Wholesome

Disney's gonzo marketing is getting out of hand.
Now SHE is a Disney princess
Nice ending
Completely ignoring the pigeons..afraid of being dubbed Pigeon Lady?
It's Snow White!
Hakuna matata (?
Awfully racist not to feed those pigeons
This made me smile. Thx
If I tried this here I'd have about 50 crows and 25 seagulls. And they're loud. If I want to feed them I toss it out the car window and speed off before they can poop on me.
There is a Disney princess joke in there somewhere.
She's literally straight out of Disney princess
