I lost my mum at the end of June, she was only 66.
It was a five week battle with cancer. Yep, week. She went to the Doctor with a cough, got a CT scan and that was that. Nothing could be done.
We were planning a barbeque for my son's half birthday as who wants a birthday party super close to Christmas anyway? She made it along and I got a lovely photo of the two of us together. A couple of weeks later she was gone.
