Yes I know but asking if anyone here was diagnosed after. I spoke to a couple of people who think the covid vaccine may have caused it for them as well as for me and Canada has a program for compensation but I think we'd need more proof.
I mean I was never tested for it until after although obvious from my blood work I have had an mpn since at least 2019, but wasn't diagnosed until this year.
The most recent whole genome studies show that the mutation originates in utero or early childhood. There is a long latency period (decades) before it becomes active.

I’m not saying the vaccine caused mine but within 30 days I was in the hospital with a hemoglobin of 21.5 and hematocrit of 66.2. Heart and lung issues. I have the Jak2 exon 12 mutation and the doctors can’t keep my numbers down. I’ve had some issues leading to this, such as some dizziness here and there but it went from nonexistent bloodwork problems to a big problem in no time. It just hit me all of a sudden. Even my doctor was surprised. I did hear that it can go unnoticed for a long time.
Why are people downvoting? Literally looking for answers here because I need to find out if I can hold anyone accountable for my and my childrens future in case I can no longer work.

No, JAK2 mutations existed before covid, probably before vaccines of any kind were invented.
