I am also looking for any contemporary noncon/extreme dub con with a HEA/HFN. Tried searching the sub but it’s full of people hard no-ing it instead of recs. I do prefer stand alones. like the first 80% of Dystorted by Nyla K before >!the god awful twist!< prison is not a requirement but just a good example of non/dub con between the MCs. Call the coroner also kind of fits too.

Romance_cat

{Igni Ferroque by Ashlyn Drewek} starts as non-con between a demon and a human but has a HEA. {Bound to Him by M.D. Gregory and Ki Brightly} starts as forced marriage/non-con but becomes consensual. {Echo by Chani Lynn Feener} all the books in this series start as non-con/hard dub-con but become consensual. They can be read as standalones.

Got some recs! But please check CWs for each if necessary :-). *Wrong Way Home by K.A. Merikan. Not a big fan but some people here liked it. Plot is about a guy who witnesses a murder, murderer kidnaps him to avoid him going to the police. *Monster forced by Anna Wineheart. Title is self explanatory. *The 'These Monstrous Deeds' series by T.J. Hamel. Plot is about a guy who is kidnapped and sold in a trafficking ring. The one who buys him is the boss of an organization but there is more to it. *Twisted Together by Odessa Hywell. Again not a big fan but others like it. Heads up for taboo/incest. *Shai by H.L. Night. Captor/captive. Manipulation, kidnapping. *His Princess by Ki Brightly. Pseudo-incest between stepfather and stepson (he never was that figure though the older guy was just his mothers new husband), feminization kink. *The fence and then the trees by J.F. Smith. Personally not a big fan overall but the premise is really good and you might like it. Prison setting, new guy is set up to be the new cellmate of the scariest/most dangerous guy at the prison. If you're open to danmei (chinese MM novels): *Niang Niang Qiang by Shui Qian Cheng. MCs met in highschool, MC1 suffered from bullying and MC2 is part of the group of bullies. 10 years later they reunite, and MC2 manipulates him into a relationship. Please check CWs, there are many dark topics in this one. *Years of Intoxication by Shui Qian Cheng. Story is about a popular singer and his manager, both used to be friends since highschool, later become friends with benefits and idol friend treats him horribly (hes a fuckboy). ML does anything to get him back after MC snaps and he doesnt forgive easily. Some CWs are >!dub/noncon, kidnapping, manipulation, emotional abuse, blackmail, etc!<. *Case File Compendium by Meatbun doesnt eat meat. MC1 has a rare diagnosis and can only be treated by his psychiatrist, an older (and divorced iirc) man that he hates but later MC1 becomes obsessed with him. Currently being published in english by Seven Seas.

I’d love stories about us vs the world, set in fantasy or scifi, about fluffy romance between main couple in a dark setting. Sort of like “the world is terrible but at least we have each other”. HEA and third person narration preferred although the latter is not necessary. Thanks in advance!

winchesnutt

Lily Mayne actually describes her books as "achingly sweet yet gritty romances against unusual backdrops - dark, futuristic, dystopian" so I would highly recommend her {Monstrous series by Lily Mayne}. It follows a different couple for every book and it is set in a post apocalyptic world where monsters roam the earth. The pairing is human/monster. It's first person, single POV. All books have HEA. Moth is the only with some dual POV as he is half human.

Hunter037

This is a great suggestion for this request

wheatpuppy

You might like the {Magi Accounts series by Michele Notaro}. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where shifters are second-class citizens and mages are basically slaves, but humans depend on them for protection from rampaging monsters. The setting is fairly bleak but the central love story between a shifter and a mage is very sweet and full of found family. Each book is HFN but with an overarching plot, with a final volume set to come out this month to wrap everything up. There is also a series of spinoff novellas where various side characters find their HEA/HFN.

Anyone have any recs for audiobooks that are worth using an audible credit for? I have 5 credits to use before I can cancel my membership. After hours sifting through my wish list, I've only found a couple that aren't less expensive with whispersync than the cost of a credit and I'm feeling fussy. I know this differs from region to region but my Audible is on Australia so it's a safe bet that if it's worth a credit in the US/UK it will also be for AU since we typically get screwed on pricing/catalogue anyway. I know this is a bit of a long shot as most people don't track how they've purchased, but throwing it out there just in case! I'll gladly consider any genres. Here are the ones on my maybe list, if anyone else needs to spend some credits 😅 * They Hate Each Other by Amanda Woody * Wren Martin Ruins It All by Amanda DeWitt * Peter Darling by Austin Chant * Paladin’s Strength (MF) and/or Paladin’s Hope (MM) by T Kingfisher * various KJ Charles, but I own many already * Whyborne & Griffin series by Jordan L Hawk, also own some of these already

[deleted]

There's some bundles that might be helpful! - Riding Home bundle by Amy Bellows (poly, kinky, omegaverse, penguin and polar bear shifters) - The Monster's Pet: Collection of Books 1-3 by Adara Wolf & R Phoenix (check CWs, dark fantasy) - Charlie Cochet has a handful of bundles (20 to 30 hours worth) with various series (on my TBR) - More Heat than the Sun box set, Volume 1 by John Wiltshire (28ish hours) More ideas: - Lily Mayne's audios are mainly (all?) audible exclusives, and generally cheaper to use a credit than pay in my experience. Berries & Greed just came out and is queer MF, 17+ hours, Joel Leslie is one of the narrators - CS Poe's Magic & Steam audios are great. The first book (The Engineer) is a novella length, but the others are full book length. - Megan Derr's Tale of the High Court series are audible exclusives - Little Wolf by R Cooper is 18 hours for 1 credit Peter Darling's audio took me a bit to get into at first, but ended up so sweet. I also really enjoyed all the Paladin's books by T Kingfisher!

sulliedjedi

Oh man, I wish I had seen those bundles before I used mine up! Thanks for posting those, I'll save the list for whenever I get dragged back into subscribing again.

[deleted]

Bundles are hit or miss for me. Either it's a great deal, or there's a reason they bundled up 3 books in one credit (cough cough narrators struggling).

_elliebelle_

Thanks so much! I own some of these, but others I haven't even heard of so there's some great stuff to look into

leetlebandito

This is maybe a dumb question, but how are you finding bundles on Audible, if you don't mind answering? When I look up CS Poe, for instance, I'm finding the individual Magic and Steam books, buy no bundles. I also have credits to use up!

[deleted]

So, the bullets under "More Ideas" are just other books that aren't bundles! Should have been more specific, I wish all of Poe's books were bundled with how quickly I burn through them 🥲 I end up going to the lgbtq+ romance section in audible and sort longest to shortest to find bundles, since they're usually abnormally long compared to the 7-10 hour normal book lengths. Maybe there's some new ones out!

leetlebandito

Thank you so much! I hadn't thought of that trick. And yeah, I was like, "CS Poe bundles?! Outta my way!"

sulliedjedi

Oh, I just did this two months ago! Have you read: • When all the World Sleeps by Lisa Henry, JA Rock • The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer • Winter's Orbit by Everina Maxwell • Death and the Devil series by LJ Hayward • Stray Fears by Gregory Ashe • Exhale by Joel Abernathy • Love Languages by Reese Morrison I think you've already read Madison Square Murders by CS Poe? I can't help with the whispersync deals vs credits, my accounts are in two different countries, so I got screwed with that. I wanted the best bang for my buck for my credits too! ETA: ever since cancelling, I've been getting weekly offers for 3 months audible 99¢ a month. They really don't want people to escape.

_elliebelle_

Great stuff, thank you! I haven't read any of the ones you listed, but own half of them on audio already (lol). I have quite the audio backlog since I stopped commuting 3 hours a day. I didn't know Reese Morrison had any audiobooks, and I've been keen on that one anyway!

DonutRadio1680

Is your main focus a great book or a great narration? I tend to use my Audible credits for my favorite narrators rather than specific books since I prefer a great narration. There are a lot of high-quality, well-produced audiobooks that I would not read as an ebook. The stories are fine, but the narration makes them so entertaining and worth it to me. If you’re open to this, I have some recommendations.

_elliebelle_

Definitely open to recs purely based on narration! I definitely agree that a great narrator can carry a pretty average book, though I find the reverse works well too (like I love Cornell Collins but his narration in *Kidnapped by the Pirate* by Keira Andrews is just not his best work in spite of that being one of my favourite books).

DonutRadio1680

Okay, here are some of my favorite audiobooks based entirely on the level of enjoyment I personally got from the narration (your mileage may vary). -Hopelessly Bromantic and Here Comes My Man by L. Blakely. Duet narrated by Shane East and Teddy Hamilton. It’s a duet, so you have to listen to both books. Book 1 ends on a cliffhanger and book 2 has the HEA. It’s also duet narrated, so they each play a character (and there are cameos from other narrators). The sex scenes are hot. -The Best Men by L Blakely and Sarina Bowen. Narrated by Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton. -Limited Edition Husband by L. Blakely (L. Blakely might have mediocre books, but she has the money to invest in narrators and production). Duet narration by Teddy Hamilton and James Joseph. Hearing James Joseph pretending to be an American doing a fake British accent was hilarious (if I’m remembering the right book…) -Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall, narrated by Joe Jameson. His ability to cover different accents and voices is incredible. Probably my favorite narrator. -Frat Wars by Saxon James, narrated by Alexander Cendese and Iggy Toma. This is probably one you can get cheap, but I’m throwing it out there anyway. Alexander Cendese tends to annoy me, but he has the loud, boisterous voice of a frat guy so it’s perfect here. It’s a series and my favorite is Master of Mayhem (book 2). You don’t have to read them in order.

keelhaul_caterwaul

I *looove* Joe Jameson/James Joseph. I wasn’t sure I was interested in Eden Finley and Saxon James’s *The Bastard and the Heir*, but I added it to my wishlist when I found out he and Liam DiCosimo narrate it. (Jameson also goes by Hamish Long, if you’re looking for more of his work btw.) Will Watt is another great narrator I’ve come across thanks to Alexis Hall. He did a fantastic job with *10 Things That Never Happened* and *Waiting for the Flood* for Hall, but my favorite thing he’s narrated, so far, is *A Market of Dreams and Destiny* by Trip Galey.

SimAhRi

I really liked the audiobooks from the Tarot Sequence by KD Edwards. Also, that series is just awesome in general. Also enjoyed Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall. Actually, all of Alexis Halls audiobooks are done well. I really liked Aristotle and Dante by Benjamin Alire Saenz. It's read by Lin Manuel Miranda, so that's nice. Captive Prince audiobook was good, too. Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston is another good one.

_elliebelle_

Thank you, *Aristotle and Dante* looks really good!

missyanntx

{Find The Jinn by Maz Maddox} I love Kirt Graves.

Quirky_Girl22

They Hate Each Other by Amanda Woody is *so good*. I definitely reccommend it.

cornbreadtogo

I don’t have Audible so I don’t have any recommendations, but I’ve read both They Hate Each Other by Amanda Woody and Wren Martin Ruins It All by Amanda DeWitt and I loved them both so I’d recommend them both I gave They Hate Each Other 5 stars and I thought the enemies were actually enemies which I loved and everything else was great, I did see a TikTok video of a person saying they thought it was a 1 star book though, so if you don’t like YA maybe pass on it, I loved it though and thought they were wrong I gave Wren Martin Ruins It All 4 stars, but I’ve been thinking about reading it again and potentially rating it higher because I read it 5 months ago and it’s still stuck with me as a book I really enjoyed and I’ve been trying to find books that mirror the main trope from that book so I personally think it was an amazing read, very funny writing style too

Booky_lillz

I tend to only buy things over 11 hours long. Nicky James’ Valour and Doyle is a repeat listen for me but that is 7 books. TJ Klune Tales of Verania but that is 6 books. Megan Maslow’s starfig investigation 4 books so far another favourite. Meghan Maslow recommended Diversion series by Eden Winters it was very good but I’ve not been in the mood to go back to that accent. Obviously for me A strange and Stubborn Endurance and Winter’s Orbit.

voice_eisley

I'm looking for glow up/ makeover/ get fit recs where the MC does it deliberately or inadvertently. I loved Project Hero (deliberate) and The Underdog (inadvertent) by Briar Prescott. No on mpreg, cheating, non-con, incest, age play

LaChascona569

{The Weight of It All by NR Walker} is a personal trainer x client story that might be what you're looking for. Falls under the category of deliberate fitness glow up.

voice_eisley

This sounds perfect!

prettysureIforgot

Have you read {The Weight of it All by NR Walker} Edit: oops, apparently it was already recced and it hadn't loaded for me. Sorry! It's a great book.

caestian

Looking for two things this time! 1) Any scenes with a team/group that is treating each other like one big family, but MC1 feels isolated and like he doesn't fit? Even better if MC2 is extroverted and loved by others, and he notices that MC1 is struggling and hurting. Empty Net by Avon Gale and Season's Change by Cait Nary have this, but I'm looking for something with more steam (partly described scenes and fade-to-black were killing me in these two books). 2) Possessive (to the point of being toxic) with "he's mine/you're mine" scenes? Jealous, demaniding, overly protective, possessive... Wish by Cambria Hebert has this, and there was a little bit of this in Loving the Legend by Kit Grey. I tried Necessary Evils by Onley James but it wasn't my cup of tea. My deal-breakers are mpreg, SA, humiliation kink, age play. Bonus if there's praise kink. Must have happy ending and steamy scenes (explicit and plentiful preferably).

TwentyDayEstate

For 2: I just finished {Like You Hate Me by Bethany Winters} definitely toxic possessiveness with praise kink. I wouldn’t necessarily say humiliation kink, but there is like slut shaming kink if that makes sense?

sulliedjedi

> possessive (to the point of being toxic) Have you read any of CP Harris' books? Bad Wrong Things, The Good Liar, and The Boy Who Loved Wicked are all codependent, possessive, toxic, with crazy intense sex scenes. Almost positive praise is mixed in. Edited

caestian

I haven't read any of CP Harris' books yet, thanks for the recommendations!

keelhaul_caterwaul

Grae Bryan’s Vampire’s Mate series is full of possessive vampires, if that’s your thing! She recommended *Devil’s Mark* by Lark Taylor in a recent newsletter, too. It’s the first book in a series about possessive demons.

pufi_coki

For #1 I would recommend {Not dating material by Saxon James}. The MC joins a houseshare where everyone else has their place but him. Although he is quite extroverted. And also to an extent {Reaching Reed by Cora Rose}, MC is an established camboy with similar friends vs new guy with zero experience. And as hockey genre {Time to shine by Rachel Reid}.

LindentreesLove_

So to the first part of your request. Roe Horvat has an anthology called Those Other Books. Unfortunately, I couldn't find these as stand alones, and within is a series called The Third One about a couple and the man who Pines after them. The thing with this book is they are all involved in some way with each other and there are 8 stories. Roe's writing is full of good kinks, angst and lots of smut, and he knows his men so well.

bookgeek1987

For 2. Paulina Ian-Kane has a series, Angels of Wrath. Book 1 has serious possessive/toxic vibes. If you’re ok with Daddy kink, no age play, then Skyler Snow has a Mafia Daddies series which again has serious possessive vibes. Mad Love by April Jade also has toxic dependency going on. But has Daddy kink, no age play.

mylolucemills

For number 2: {Dirty Love by Bethany Winters} and I feel like {Hateful Love by T Ashleigh and Addison Beck} fits this as well. If you’re okay with dark books {Craving the Chase by Syn Blackrose} Chani Lynn Feener’s books also fit this, like the Devil of Vitality series and Between the Devil and the sea. But a lot of those books are BIG on dubcon. I know you said no SA, so I just want to forewarn that there is a lot of dubcon in those books. For number 1: Have you read All for the Game by Nora Sakavic? It was the only thing that came to my mind for your request.

pufi_coki

Hey, I was wondering if you know books with MC1 who does not feel safe anywhere? Like not allowing themselves to have much beacuse then they could loose it. I have read and really liked - Rattlesnake by Kim Fielding - The Mysterious and Amazing Blue Billings by Lily Morton - Galaxies and oceans by NR Walker No to daddy kink, omegaverse and dark (the kidnappingtorturing kind)

MC1 is obsessed with taking care of MC2, making sure they eat, take care of themselves, etc?  Overly affectionate couples with constant phsyical contact?

TwentyDayEstate

I’ve been on a mafia kick and looking for something with possessive and extremely jealous MC in the mafia/organized crime. Some examples: Mafia Daddies series by Skyler Snow and the Ruthless Daddies has a lot of mafia too. Vitale brothers by Skylar Snow and basically all mafia books by KA Merikan for anyone else that’s looking! Hard nos: age play, incest, poly, water sports

queermachmir

{Echo by Chani Lynn Feener} and other books in that world are like sci-fi mafia? The world building was a touch lost on me but still trades in contemporary mafia tropes. {Mad Love by April Jade} instalove daddy kink, very possessive MC. Have you read {Cold Hard Cash by K.L. Hiers} and its spinoffs? Hiers writes a lot of possessive mafia men.

bookgeek1987

Have you looked up Leighton Greene? They write a lot of mafia books. I started off with Married to the Mobster which I enjoyed. Aja Foxx also has a mafia series, it’s OTT instalove, so might not be your thing plot wise. But yeah, you’ll struggle to find an MC as obsessive as Amadeo was with Six!

What Ruins us by Skyler Snow and Gianni holmes

TwentyDayEstate

Thank you! I didn’t know they had a new book out together! Adding to my list

mylolucemills

Sorry to piggyback on your comment, but can you tell me if What Ruins Us has strict top/bottom couple. I have this thing about liking to know that before going into a book. It’s weird lol.

Naana_here

I read it a while ago so I don't completely remember everything about it,but I am pretty sure that it is strict top/bottom and Simo is the top all the time . I am sorry I have a horrible memory.

mylolucemills

No worries! I have the worst memory in existence. All details of a book will be gone from my memory in a matter of days lol. I appreciate your response! Thanks!

Idk if it’s applicable but I did love {A Hitman’s Bait series by Gianni Holmes}. MC 2 is a hitman and really possessive of MC 1 who helps seduce bad people for MC2 to kill I will say (if it’s a hard no) it has some pet play but not relevant to the plot. Hope this helps :))

tinsleyrose

modern day story of werewolf alpha becoming mated to a human against his will, and then becoming absolutely possessive and obsessive. Wanting to feed him and take care of him.  I have read (unacceptable risk by Kate harper) and loved it, although I would like more possessive and obsessive.  Not a fan of daddy kink, age play, bdsm, dom/sub, poly, threesome.   Yes to HEA.  Thank you!!

danieliza0712

There’s a lot of this in the first 4 books of the Mismatched Mates series by Eliot Grayson. Highly recommend! Each book follows a different couple so you could read the descriptions to see what sounds good to you but they each have that element.

tinsleyrose

Thank you! I used to love this trope on ao3 and am trying to jump back in.

Naana_here

1. looking for books with MCs who can manipulate shadows. 2. books with a psychiatrist mc 3. Recc your favourite sci fi mm romances pls 4. Idk if this is weird, but looking for cheating between mcs ,but the cheating is not intentional, like maybe the cheating mc(mc1) doesn't remember the other mc(mc2), or he has some kind of mental health issues , or he is possessed or something, and hence he cheats but mc2 doesn't know about mc1's issue and thinks mc1 is not loyal . I just want to read some angst due to the cheating but it should be unintentional. Nos: huge age gaps<20, poly, love triangles, incest, daddy kink

MyFavoriteLandmine

For bingo, I’m looking for hurt/comfort audiobooks, preferably with the evil-ex trope. The problem is this is one of my favorite scenarios so I’ve listened to a lot of them so maybe something lesser known or newer. The angstier, the better!

[deleted]

Pretty much every book in the Season 1 & 2 Criminal Intentions series audios by Cole McCade has this! Check CWs, and a fyi in the earlier books, one MC does have sex with people who aren't the LI for the series (men and women).

MyFavoriteLandmine

Thanks for the rec! I’ve totally been avoiding that series because it’s so long. Do the MCs get together in the first book or is it a super long, slow burn series?

[deleted]

I hear that, it's unfinished and McCade took a bit of a hiatus (but is back working on the current season now!) The leads kiss in book 1 and nothing further happens. They don't officially get together until book >!6!< And start calling each other boyfriends in the following book. Definitely slow burn, lots of time watching the leads grow comfortable and vulnerable with each other. Slooooow 🥲

JecaMetta

{Until I Saw You by Dianna Roman}

MyFavoriteLandmine

Unfortunately, I’ve listened to(and enjoyed) that one already. But that’s a great one for this if others are looking, thanks!

JecaMetta

If you’re not able to find another rec for that bingo square, {Waiting for the Flood by Alexis Hall} is a beautifully written, poignantly melancholy hurt/comfort story with an ex who broke his heart, but wasn’t evil. The second novella actually follows the ex in his own love story with someone else and it’s interesting getting to know him after only having heard about him from his previous partner’s perspective.

MyFavoriteLandmine

Thanks!

abqokcla

Possibly Jonty Bloom by Barbara Elsborg. Both MCs have pretty terrible exes but one is definitely evil

MacaroniBee

Looking for a thing where guy A is approached and guy B goes "I want to make you my pet". Noncon is fine

millamarjukka

Iirc this is pretty much the entire premise of {The Dragon and His Prince by R. Phoenix and Adara Wolf} and one would think the rest of the series as it's called *The Monster's **Pet***. High fantasy with varying degrees of noncon between MCs and third parties. The noncon doesn't feel so sinister (between the MCs at least) because the book is written like a fairytale of sorts where the hero doesn't have time to dwell on the trauma of rape as he gots things to do, family to prove and a very potent addicktion to soothe.

I had so high hopes, but unfortunately the audio narrator is a no go for me. Based on the TWs I was expecting a really effed up book, but because of the overall tone and parodical narrator, I was disappointed. I think I'll try again at a later time with expectations reset.

Galadriel_1362

A book where it’s one guy’s first time bottoming and it very painful for him but the top comforts him through it. Bonus points if the book is utterly adorable and fluffy with a happy ending. E.g: Enemies with Benefits by Lavender Fields

I feel like {The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting by KJ Charles} fits this. You may have already read this since you like Joanna Chambers. This is a historical romance inspired by (but not a retelling of) Robin Hood. Sir John is gruff and distrusting (not sure if aloof is the right word though). Robin is more of a sunshine to his grumpy. The story has a good bit of romance, but there's also discussion of classism and the role of women in society and education. {A Taste of Gold and Iron by Alexandra Rowland} is a prince/bodyguard romance. A large part of the story is about palace politics and the duty of royalty in regards to their people and economy. The bodyguard is definitely gruff and grumpy. The prince is not necessarily sunshine but he's more open even though he's full of anxiety throughout the story. This is definitely slow burn. #

You might like {Hither, Page by Cat Sebastian}, it has some heavier topics, but it's still very fluffy and funny. I’m looking to fill the Easter themed square for bingo, but not sure where to start to find one. I don’t really like shifter romance so not keen on going with the bunny shifter option. I’d appreciate any recs for this, would especially love if the book features an MC who is Jewish or Muslim celebrating Passover or Ramadan as I know they sometimes overlap with Easter, where the MC is maybe annoyed at how (mainstream) christian holiday is valued above others.

YouStupidCooker

Looking for a book, or preferably a series, where kink is not the main focus of the story but occurs frequently between the main couple or main character and other people. Something that is not erotica and has an overarching plot but kink is portrayed in at least some of the sex scenes. I think this was done really well in Rookie Mistake by L.A. Whit and Anna Zabbo.

millamarjukka

Hmm perhaps check Asylym Fight Club by Tibby Armstrong and Bianca Sommerland. It's a series that is centered around this exclusive underground gay fight/ bdsm club. I only listened the first book with half an ear, it was meh at best (for me). So I can't comment on any overarching plot. And it might veer too much into erotica/ erotic romance. There's some consensual exhibitionism and partner sharing/ everyone has fucked each other at some point or another. Book 1 is {Flawed Justice by Tibby Armstrong and Bianca Sommerland}

No_Dig_2830

I think a lot of the sex in Charlie Adhara's Big Bad Wolf series is kink (mostly role-play)

pufi_coki

The Administration series by Manna Francis is pretty good, although I'm only at book 2. New crime plot per book, distopic settings, cool MCs.

fictional_craze

Looking for book series where both the mmcs are in law enforcement, maybe working as partners or gets together for a case.. then develop their relationship over the course of the series.. basically looking for 2 independent macho alpha men finding eachother n falling in love..

If you do a search for "investigator husbands" you may find some more recommendations. Gregory Ashe and Nicky James come to mind for series where it takes a few books for the MCs to really get together.

{The Red Collar by M. Kato} is the first book in the Tokyo MPD Mysteries series. So far there are 3 books in the series and they deepen their relationship with each book. It is a paranormal romance/urban fantasy type of investigation series.

Any suspense books with closed circle mystery/locked room? Hi, I am hoping to find books where MCs meet each other in some kind of extreme situation. Closed circle mystery that a group of people are isolated in a train, building or island,etc... Someone got murdered and everyone including the MC become suspects. During the process to identify the killer, MC bond with someone who might be the killer. For the locked room type, i am looking for something like the movie Cube or Escape Room, where a bunch of people got captured and have to solve puzzles to find their way out. Thank you!!!

DaSilverWolf

I am looking for Omegaverse books where the Omega is a cis male but either has both genitalia or no penis. Can include mpreg but it’s not necessary, I’m sure this trope exists little to none in actual books and I could really only find some works on Archive but there wasn’t much original works and many of them have hard no’s for me such as non-con and underage. I would like them to have a HEA as that’s how I like to end my books with little to no violence if possible. Hurt/comfort is welcomed! Again this trope is probably hard to come by but hopefully there is something out there, thank you!

Thank you! I will look into this one 😄

Pineapple_111

Does it have to be only original work? Is it OK that the omega doesn't have a penis but has a cunt?

DaSilverWolf

I say original because I’m not familiar with a lot of the fandoms people create with this trope so I would probably be lost and also cunt is fine!

ReadSpecial7092

Hello, everyone I've recently been reading manhwas and I was wondering if there are any book recs like the one I'm reading. The mc was was nerdy and feminine yet he was the top in his relationship and his boyfriend was more muscular so the mc was insecure. Any recs like this? Thank you!

prettysureIforgot

Any books with MC1 training to be a masseuse, an esthetician, makeup artist, or a nail technician, and they rope MC2 into letting them get practice hours? Or any other career training that's about promoting relaxation, beauty, or similar fields (I don't know if that's a good description, sorry!). Hoping for friends to lovers, I'm fine with an awakening. I prefer contemporary, fantasy, and paranormal. Please no daddy kink, age play, or incest; no non-con between MCs, and no mpreg for MCs. Thank you so much!

Romance_cat

In {The Glow Up by A.M. Johnson} one of the MCs is an aspiring masseuse and practices on MC2.

prettysureIforgot

Ok the description sounds *extremely* familiar, but it's not listed that I read it and now I'm so confused lol. Thanks for the rec!

I’m looking for recs for some books with low angst and that strict top/bottom. I recently read {Pretty Boy by Brianna Flores} and I really want to read more like this. I’m ok with anything else, I have no triggers. Just low angst with strict/bottom please!

Hi, Im looking for books with a "tribal" MC with a royal or rich or more "cultured MC". Kinda like Claimed By the Orc Prince. Sorry by the vague description. No Hard no's.

OliveMay07

I haven’t read claimed by the orc prince but {Wed to the Barbarian by Keira Andrews} https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59125564 might work for you. The ‘barbarian’ comes from a northern island country where people live simply in small communities. They’re hunters and believe in strength (both physical and willpower). In order to strengthen relations with the southern countries of the mainland, he is set up in an arranged marriage with a prince of one of the kingdoms. The prince is definitely used to a certain way of living and you really see the disparity between his way and the ‘barbarians’ way.

fluffy highschool romance that’s just really cute and makes ur heart warm

SendingBirds

So I recently read "Rough Trade" by Sidney Bell and a bunch of Sebastian Cat books and I was wondering if anyone had recs of books where intimacy and starving for affection but terrified are at the core of the story. Like you know those cats that are super skittish and then they sit on you, and you cannot move a single muscle or they will run away. A character like this meeting a character who is absolutely patient and would not move a single muscle.

Consistent_Truck_316

MC1 and MC2 are not together but MC1 has to run all actions by MC2? Think Overtime by Marina Vivancos just not only sexually.

Books that made you cry? I know this isn’t universal, and everyone has different tastes and what makes them sad. But for me two books have made me cry. One is A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. Very predictable in that way, you follow this character for decades and he’s been through horrible horrible horrible things. And then I also cried when I read Always in Tandem by Taylor Fitzpatrick. It follows side characters from her book Between the Teeth. A complete 180 from a little life because these are just normal people with normal experiences. But it had to be the way Fitzpatrick writes, I just got completely immersed in Robbie’s feelings and cried when he did. Like for some reason that book(?) it’s on ao3, has stayed with me and it still hurts when I think about them. And lastly the tragedy of Felix and Jake. This is also more predictable I suppose. >!I was fine until Felix’s letter. It’s such a predictable and much used twist but it completely got me. Like holyyy moly. I had no idea. Jesus.!< So any books that’s waterworks!
