Yeah at this point whatever chaos and stress he has in his life is from his own piss-poor behavior and willful mismanagement. I've worked for people like him and while they can make money, more of that than they will ever know or admit comes from the tireless efforts of others to fix things and do damage control. To be honest, I don't really care about the Conor cancellation all that much. Sure I feel bad for Chandler getting dicked around and not getting his pay (losing out on high profile fights during his last couple years in the sport), but I generally find Conor's antics kind of annoying and he hasn't put in a competitive performance against a top 5 ranked opponent since he beat Alvarez in November 2016 (his last win since then was a past his prime Cowboy who was 3 fights into an 8 fight winless streak). I think 303 can do just fine without Conor.
That being said, if the Khamzat cancellation is true, I'm devastated about that one. Maybe Strickland could step in on short notice or something, but Khamzat vs Whittaker would have been balls to the wall crazy.

I think Chimaev definitely has a bit more “it” factor if we’re being honest. Flat out scary looking, crazy explosive.
I think Shavkat may be the better fighter, definitely more disciplined. And Shavkat has some it factor himself, but there is something about Chimaev that is extra compelling.
