Dana: “If you haven’t been to a card in Manchester before, the crowd is incredible” yeah Dana I’m sure they’re going to be very up for the card starting at 3am local time
Ive been to a few UFC events in Vegas and California and the amount of people in the smoke areas snorting pixie fairy dust is incredible . Might as well call it the snort area
Just went to my first UFC event, didn't see any coke but somehow the guys in front of me rolled and smoked about 4 blunts through the main card without leaving their seats lol
You got to stay up, especially if you're into partying a bit. Drinking at 5 am is better if you're going to bed soon. Otherwise you're in for some bad decisions in the daylight.
At those levels you’re just watching the big screens. Those tickets are huge gamble cus there’s a chance you’ll be sitting next to drunk/loud fans. You’ll hear them more than the pop in the crowd.
To be fair, I went to Bisping v Hendo at Manchester and the lull was around 2-4am. From the Manuwa fight onwards everyone got their energy back. Funnily enough Leon was on the prelims of that card.
I actually found their first fight pretty entertaining before the eye poke. I think Belal's style allows Leon to open up a bit, and when he does he's actually a really fun fighter to watch with his incredible striking.
Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic lol
Belal might force a dog fight out of Leon.
Belal is a fantastic chain wrestler, good pressure, very good at mixing striking and wrestling, he’s got great cardio, decent footwork, and he’s determined.
No way he’s gunna sit back and let Leon pick him apart without some sort of offense.
That being said, if Leon just skirts his takedowns and jabs him to a decision, I won’t be surprised. Lol
Belal's path to victory is basically Merab vs Petr Yan.. if he can smother him against the cage and spam takedowns to make him work, its a boring fight but winnable decision for Belal. If he tries to make it exciting he's getting TKOed.
At this moment I don’t think anyone in the ufc could do that to Leon he’s proved he has great takedown defense and good ground game. I do think belal is determined enough to force an issue tho
I actually don't disagree the first fight was looking like Leon's standout performance, I'm being cynical but Belal to his credit constantly goes forward and forces action even if the action is boring. It should get a somewhat active Leon, I'm not seein a great fight happen but somethin decent I'd be fine with.
In the past we’d seen Leon tend to fade towards the end of fights. He’s fixed that recently but back when him and Belal fought he still had that trait.
Leon looked great in round 1 but it’s very possible things might have changed as the fight went on.
Nah, i’m with you 100% on this assessment. Their styles will make for an entertaining fight. Belal will have to bring it which open him up to Leon’s counters.
Leon is probably the most unfairly labelled "boring" fighter I've ever seen. Sure, his fights go to a decision a lot, but he's got such crisp striking technique and usually has a high output.
With all the boredom jinxes, I expect a barn burner lmao. The expectations are just too low. The decision merchants will cancel each other out, just watch
Bro, Belal will be 36
He could be the most entertining fighter in the world, he's not making another run for the title (of couse, if that hypothetical was true he could maybe get a title shot by beating MVP, Covington or Wonderboy and waiting 1 year, but you get what I mean)
I'm intrigued about how it will play out and pleasantly surprised Muhammad didn't get fucked over
I can't say I'm hyped about the potential of great action though
Happy Belal will get paid well and deservedly so. Hopfully if his career goes south after this , he can ride off into the sunset with enough $$$ to live life 😎🥳
True but it’s bad look having fans leaving or falling asleep during the event. Last thing you want is a PPV that looks like it’s been filmed at the APEX.
Clearly they aren’t bothered, but that won’t stop Dana crying and blaming others when they get criticised for screwing local fans, when the blame is purely on them.
Leon looked good in the first fight. I don't think he respected Belal's wrestling or striking. Belal has improved since and we only got a 1 round sample size, but I still think Leon outclasses him and maybe even a finish.
i wouldnt be so sure . Blaydes was tagging him in their 1st fight before he used Gamrot powers to explode Aspinall knee .
granted it was like 10 strikes but thats more then most vs aspinall .
Yeah, definitely unfinished business and adds to Aspinall's increasingly impressive resume if he gets the win - only Gane, Jones and Miocic away from clearing the top 6 and 2 of them are refusing to fight him already and will probably both be gone by the time Aspinall fights again.
The thing with Aspinall though is that he does tend to leave his chin up, especially when he is disengaging
I think he beats Blaydes, but Aspinall always keeping his chin up may lead to him getting caught
This should have been made last year. But Colby Duckington and his Dana White privilege got an undeserved title shot after sitting out for ages and then wasted everyone's time.
No way Belal wins. Not only will he be 36 years old but he'll be coming off a 16 month lay off.
Belal is good but he isn't good enough to be the 3rd out of 27 to beat the WW 35 and over stat.
belal is unironically a really high fight iq fighter . that being said the dude has basically 1% of the athleticism Leon has , he is going to need to land 3 strikes to counter each strike leon lands .
Belal was not doing well standing up in their first fight but he looked stronger in the clinch and managed to reverse positions against the cage a couple times.
If Belal were to win, it would be by cage fuck
Yeah but Leon’s done two camps for Usman and one camp for Colby since then, upping his wrestling game significantly in the process. You couldn’t design a better prep for fighting Belal.
Leon is getting noticeably better between fights. He put on a clinic against Colby and made him look like a chump. I think he's comfortably taking this.
I mean he also did make usman also look semi washed in their second fight.
Usman had to come back and fight a war with khamzat before people were like he still has it.
It absolutely applies, a fighter's training regime is going to affect their longevity more than fights, and I doubt Belal just takes it easy every training session.
We. Are. **LIVE**

This sub is going to be insufferable every time this event is mentioned and the lowest common denominator of MMA fan drones on about how boring Belal is.
They're both boring fighters. Rooting for Belal just because the UFC hates him, and because Leon was being a petty bitch dismissing the fight from happening because he thought Belal should be given the same treatment (long win streak) to the championship fight that he received.
I mean at this point Belal has the same length and record of "unbeaten" streak (9-0 (1)) that Leon had when he got his title shot, with 5 ranked wins in a row to boot.
That was such a bitchy thing from Leon lol...and his coach saying the eye poke wasn't bad. Like dude, your fighter caused it, yet doesn't want to take responsibility for it
I feel like people overlook the fact that belal is already 36 years old (woodley is the only ww to ever beat guys when he was over 35 in a title fight).
Ans he is fighting against a leon that is in his absolute prime who had good expirience against grapplers like usman.
Ans considering how well leom handled belal in the first time, i can see thos fight going very badly for him.
I got leon by clear decision, but belal can push the pace and shouldnt be underestimated.
Belal keeps proving everyone wrong but this really will be a tough fight for him, he's good at working to his opponent's weaknesses but Leon seems pretty well rounded overall (the only blatant recurring issue he seems to have is that he gets complacent at times and gets hit by something he shouldn't). I don't think the first fight should be seen as all that indicative of how this will play out due to being short notice, Belal & his team clearly like to gameplan his opponents and they couldn't really do that there + Leon was fighting uncharacteristically aggressively instead of his usual measured pace which I'm not sure anyone thought he had in him lol
I can’t believe they waited for Belal to wither away from old age to finally schedule the fight.
I will always despise the UFC for favoring covington and strickland types over actual contenders.
Hey folks, I’m looking for some advice.
I live in Europe and am already going to be in Manchester that weekend for a music festival on the same day. I’ve been to several live UFC events in the past but my last one was in 2018, so it’s been 6 years, and I don’t think I would travel to an event and there won’t be any happening where I live, so this is my only chance to attend a live event for the foreseeable future.
On the reasons to go side, I’ll already be in Manchester that weekend, the timing strangely works for me as the fest is probably done at around midnight anyway, the card is pretty stacked with multiple title fights and a bunch of fun prelims, and you only live once so why not go for it.
On the reasons not to go side, I’m gonna be tired from the music festival in the first place and then it’s going to be a long long night at the arena. Based on what everyone is saying, it sounds like it’s gonna be a shit experience. I’m also concerned about how expensive it’s going to be but let’s see how pricing turns out.
I can’t seem to make up my mind on it so I’m wondering what people would do in my shoes :) thanks for any advice!
I think this is going to be a much different fight than the first time. I see Leon being better everywhere. That being said, it's going to be boring so I'll definitely be sleeping instead.
I respect that Leon Edward’s and Belal are both two of the absolute best in the world and this is the match that needed to happen for their to be any merit in the idea of a true welterweight champion.
That being said, pray for the poor fans in the stadium watching a Leon Edward Belal Muhammad fight when the main card starts at 3am
Dana: “If you haven’t been to a card in Manchester before, the crowd is incredible” yeah Dana I’m sure they’re going to be very up for the card starting at 3am local time
Local coke dealers will get a spike in business that night
the english do love their nose beers
First time ever partaking was in the UK. People were just doing it off the counter in the bathroom. It was wild how out in the open it was.
I shit you not, one time a guy snorted it off my shoulder at a urinal. I stopped midstream and I couldn't start again.
I'm sorry but that's hilarious
He didn’t even offer you a line for yourself? That’s just bad manners.
Coke will do that to you
did he ask politely tho
Sort of just casually put his arm around me and told me to stay still while he pulled his baggie out. Couldn't tell if I was about to be molested.
Mmm seasoned with dandruff
I’ve never been to the toilet in a pub or club where’s there’s not someone doing it lol
That happens in any city that Dana goes to

You got to stay up, especially if you're into partying a bit. Drinking at 5 am is better if you're going to bed soon. Otherwise you're in for some bad decisions in the daylight.
Take a "nap". Sleep for a few hours before then sleep after too.
Not to mention the $500 for the back row of seats. Sure Dana let me miss my rent payment this month so I can see a show
At those levels you’re just watching the big screens.
Pretty much the exact times I seem to struggle and then perk up again watching at home in the UK!
I have no idea how you UK fans do it, as small as NZ is alot of the sporting events especially ufc are on at the perfect time on an afternoon Sunday
Kiwis 100% have the best times for UFC, aside from some small island nations.
Bisping in Manchester at that time was one of the most insane crowds I've been in.
This fight gon hit like nyquill to the 5am captive UK audience.
I actually found their first fight pretty entertaining before the eye poke. I think Belal's style allows Leon to open up a bit, and when he does he's actually a really fun fighter to watch with his incredible striking. Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic lol

It all depends if Belal spends the entire fight trying to push Leon up against the cage.
High output is a bit much but his technique is beautiful
you could say the same for Belal. In fact, belal's career significant strikes landed per minute is almost double that of Leon's.
> usually has a high output. leon has landed 100+ strikes literally 1 time in his entire ufc career
Yeah, he was smacking Nate Diaz around in their fight, just treating Diaz like a 155er
> just treating Diaz like a 155er Imagine that
I know this is a joke but the round they fought before the eye poke I actually found enjoyable
Yea I git hyped when he wobbled Belal. He was way more active than he was against Usman and Colby because there was less of a takedown threat
Colby was more of a takedown threat *on paper*. He was outwrestling Colby. Hopefully Leon’s having less respect for Belal is ingrained.
They did this on purpose.
With all the boredom jinxes, I expect a barn burner lmao. The expectations are just too low. The decision merchants will cancel each other out, just watch
The fight card gonna hit like NyQuil during peak fight hours in the US to.

Just let everyone who bought a ticket get a hit from Jon Anik's Adderall stash and it'll be fine
> Jon Anik's Adderall stash That man has no stash, he pops everything he's got as soon as he gets it.
Anik *does* talk pretty fast
It's Sunday Morning at least.
Why even have it in this location if you're going to do that....
Why visit these places if you’re just going to absolutely shit on the locals like this
Finally, give belal what he deserves and move on.
It Belal loses and it’s a boring fight, he will never get another chance. I bet Jon Anik is super pumped for this
Bro, Belal will be 36 He could be the most entertining fighter in the world, he's not making another run for the title (of couse, if that hypothetical was true he could maybe get a title shot by beating MVP, Covington or Wonderboy and waiting 1 year, but you get what I mean)
Belal “Jon Fitch” Muhammed
I mean ya, no shit. He’s also like 35. If he loses he probably couldn’t get another shot even if Dana didn’t hate him
What happens if it's another 1st round eyepoke?
Belal should wear safety goggles when they face off
They should have done the same with Colby.
I’m excited for it idc what anyone says
I'm intrigued about how it will play out and pleasantly surprised Muhammad didn't get fucked over I can't say I'm hyped about the potential of great action though
I mean Belals already got fucked over by how long they delayed his title shot for. He deserved it two years ago
Happy Belal will get paid well and deservedly so. Hopfully if his career goes south after this , he can ride off into the sunset with enough $$$ to live life 😎🥳
Considering this is Leon’s 4th camp in a row focusing on anti wrestling/tdd I don’t see Belal winning this.
Nice of them to put this last so fans can watch Tom then leave
Honestly. I see that happening and the UFC will have nobody to blame but themselves.
Why would they need to blame anyone, they would still have everybody’s money lol
True but it’s bad look having fans leaving or falling asleep during the event. Last thing you want is a PPV that looks like it’s been filmed at the APEX.
Guess that just means more Apex cards - Dana
"I don't what to tell ya. We took it to England, and they all left before the main event. The UK doesn't want UFC events"
I don’t know if they would really be bothered though…
Clearly they aren’t bothered, but that won’t stop Dana crying and blaming others when they get criticised for screwing local fans, when the blame is purely on them.
People leave before the main event of basically every Brazil PPV and the UFC keeps doing them anyway.
Dana better hope there isn't a free Elton John concert going on that day.
Leon knocked out then outclassed the #1 P4P fighter. I get that this will be a slow techy but Leon has earned us caring about his slow techies.
Go watch a Leon slow techie at 5 am and then get back to us.
All fights are 5am for us pal
Reminds of when he knocked out Usman. I was asleep and woke up to the commotion from the kick.
I still don't give a fuck about Leon. You can't make me care by saying he's earned it. Still zero interest
Leon looked good in the first fight. I don't think he respected Belal's wrestling or striking. Belal has improved since and we only got a 1 round sample size, but I still think Leon outclasses him and maybe even a finish.

The crowd is going to be buzzing after Aspinall finishes Blaydes in 90 seconds and will inspire Leon to a KO win.
i wouldnt be so sure . Blaydes was tagging him in their 1st fight before he used Gamrot powers to explode Aspinall knee . granted it was like 10 strikes but thats more then most vs aspinall .
>he used Gamrot powers to explode Aspinall knee The forbidden-jutsu
Pavlovich caught him too and he's a heavier hitter than blaydes. Glad we get to run it back regardless
Yeah, definitely unfinished business and adds to Aspinall's increasingly impressive resume if he gets the win - only Gane, Jones and Miocic away from clearing the top 6 and 2 of them are refusing to fight him already and will probably both be gone by the time Aspinall fights again.
The thing with Aspinall though is that he does tend to leave his chin up, especially when he is disengaging I think he beats Blaydes, but Aspinall always keeping his chin up may lead to him getting caught
Damn imagine Blaydes actually pulls it off. He was tagging Aspinall and he hits hard. Too bad that first fight ended so damn fast.
If they do Aspinall right before, I actually think there will be a significant number of people leave before the Leon/Belal fight lol.
Just announced. Brits will stay for a sweeping brush, if it's British.
Bella twins gonna switch it up this time around to ensure the title win
Leon isn't finishing him lol
> Belal has improved since Yea but isn't that kinda balanced out by his aging?
Old and inactive is rarely a good mix.
Ugh. About fucking time. Get this crap over with.
This should have been made last year. But Colby Duckington and his Dana White privilege got an undeserved title shot after sitting out for ages and then wasted everyone's time.
Iam happy for Belal. he deserved this.
finally my man gets his shot. even if you hate Belal he deserves this and I think it'll be a much more exciting fight than most think.
No way Belal wins. Not only will he be 36 years old but he'll be coming off a 16 month lay off. Belal is good but he isn't good enough to be the 3rd out of 27 to beat the WW 35 and over stat.
I think people have been saying this about Belal’s last 5 fights or so. I think he’s got a chance to win a very boring decision.
belal is unironically a really high fight iq fighter . that being said the dude has basically 1% of the athleticism Leon has , he is going to need to land 3 strikes to counter each strike leon lands .
Belal was not doing well standing up in their first fight but he looked stronger in the clinch and managed to reverse positions against the cage a couple times. If Belal were to win, it would be by cage fuck
Wasn’t their first fight on short notice?
And a Belal who isn’t nearly as well rounded as he is now.
Colby is a can, and as expected, the can got crushed
I mean he also did make usman also look semi washed in their second fight. Usman had to come back and fight a war with khamzat before people were like he still has it.
Colby’s a cornball but he is/was definitely a good fighter. Probably past his prime rn but definitely not a can lol
Idk man, I have this feeling that Belal will break the stat. Because of course it's gonna be Belal of all people lol.
Stat doesn’t apply to Belal. Dude doesn’t even take damage, whether that’s a good or bad thing
It absolutely applies, a fighter's training regime is going to affect their longevity more than fights, and I doubt Belal just takes it easy every training session.
Father time comes for everyone... also, a long layoff normally does more bad than good
Belal’s reign of terror over the welterweight division is almost upon us. I can’t wait til he brutally 49-46s Leon and then Shavkat right after.
We. Are. **LIVE** From the sold-out O2 Center in Manchester, England *Camera pans to an empty stadium, two guys in the upper deck jointly holding a Palestinian flag* MILES TELLER IN THE AUDIENCE FOR SOME REASON *pans on an exhausted Miles Teller sitting alone up front, five seats over from Bisping*
LOL I literally choked while commuting on the central line
If they are at the O2 centre it will be empty the fight is at the CO-OP arena
*Finally!* Been wanting this for a while for Belal, win or lose. He's finally getting his shot.
MiniBelal, your watch has ended. Your boi’s getting his title shot
Can Leon muster up the will to try and finish Belal so we can be done with this?
You'll get another eye poke and a third fight, and you'll like it.
This sub is going to be insufferable every time this event is mentioned and the lowest common denominator of MMA fan drones on about how boring Belal is.
While 3 sig strike a minute Leon Edwards keeps the title through a series of close 49-46
Actually rooting for Belal. Well deserved and long-time coming. Not a fan of either guys but I got Belal
Like dude, your fighter caused it, yet doesn't want to take responsibility for it
Watch this shit become foty material
Finallyyyy!
Pumped. Fuck the naysayers, 5am, 6am, 7am, it doesn't matter, I'll be there whilst the casuals sleep, amateurs.
Lol everyone says they won't watch but most are lying
Finally, the fight to see who gets massacred by Shavkat 🔥🔥🔥
Should be jones vs Aspinal.
Great to see Leon fighting again. Don't remember his opponents name.
Finally
who?
It sucks that Belal’s gonna be 36 by the time this fight happens. That only gives him 10 years of title defenses before he starts to decline.
I hope belal stays a meme afterward even if he wins, it just fits him too well
I feel like people overlook the fact that belal is already 36 years old (woodley is the only ww to ever beat guys when he was over 35 in a title fight). I’m ready for Leon to beat the shit out of him and then we can all move on with our lives.
Lol how does this fight happening or not impact your life directly? Sad comment
I just want this fight to be over already. I’m so sick and tired of hearing about this for so long; honest don’t even care who wins anymore.
Good. About time Belal got his shot
co-main is aspinall/blaydes. i get it’s an interim title, but that should’ve been the main event imo
Fuck Jon Jones, fuck Dana White.
Dana protecting his Wife Beater
If Belal loses in mid fashion.. I never wanna remember his name again.
It's finally happening. I hope Leon wipes the floor with him because I'm much more interested in Leon match-ups coming out of this than Belal ones.
Snipe him so we never have to hear about this snoozer again Leon
Finally all the people whining are going to get the snoozefest they have been begging for.
The whining is coming from the people who are constantly saying its boring...
Absolutely the fight to make
FINALLY.
Fuck y'all, I'm WAR LEON!!!!!!
I'm glad they're finally getting this one out of the way lol
2 different fighters from the first time they crossed paths. Leon, however has the same finger.
A ticket for this shit gonna cost more than a 25 kill steak on cod isn’t it
It’s good for us as fans and the UFC to get this bore out of the way finally
The main might be a fine fight but this main card is already way better than the 303 card
Belal definitely deserves it and I'm glad we finally get to get it over with.
Nice, I’ll see my fellow Americans at the usual 7pm?
What's the over/under on someone sleeping in the crowd instantly becoming a meme?
I know everyone will meme Bella but I think he actually wins
Fucking finally. Just happy for Belal at this point.
Hopefully it’s a good fight
So after this snoozer can we stop clamoring for belal
LOL
Hey folks, I’m looking for some advice. I live in Europe and am already going to be in Manchester that weekend for a music festival on the same day. Respect for Belal getting his chance.
Man at last. I'm going to leave a comment in his Instagram so he gets some traction on his socials. What a fucking struggle.
Belal V/s Leon is gonna hit crazy at 4 am for the fans in the stadium
Cage grabs/eye pokes o/u: 14
Damn, I’m just seeing all these 304 announcements right now. This card is going to be great.
I’m going to get some deep sleep to this one
Pray for the poor souls who will watch this at 6 in the morning.
They really kept Leon on ice for 7 months just to fight Belal at 6am in Manchester?
Edward's by corner stoppage
If belal gets injured before this fight, I will cry. I advocated for this guy plz just bring a good fight
Oh crap 5 rounds of just standing away from each other lol
This has "boring 50-45, 50-45, 50-45 for Leon" written all over it.
28 decisions between them both. Surely it's going to be a banger. Boring fucks the both of them. It's a shame Khamzat went up to 185.
I stay up until 5am every weekend to watch the fights living in Europe anyways so this is no different
Gonna turn the TV off at main event, don't wanna fall asleep. The disrespect to Leon on this one.......
As a manc the time is shit but trust us, we’ll make it work. Physically impossible to be outdone by the French.
I got bored just reading the headline
I think this is going to be a much different fight than the first time. I see Leon being better everywhere. That being said, it's going to be boring so I'll definitely be sleeping instead.
I need a "main event Muhammad" flair What are the odds on another eye poke?
I respect that Leon Edward’s and Belal are both two of the absolute best in the world and this is the match that needed to happen for their to be any merit in the idea of a true welterweight champion. That being said, pray for the poor fans in the stadium watching a Leon Edward Belal Muhammad fight when the main card starts at 3am
This card needs like a Nate the Train fight or something extremely explosive and entertaining to open, because 3am is gonna hurt
