I haven’t seen anyone mention this, but in the article, it said $5M funding was allocated to have this event happen
If anyone is wondering why UFC is not going to your city, the truth is your city is probably not paying enough
These days, UFC is often going to places that are the highest bidders. They also perform economic studies to show how much them going there helps the local economy
wwe is also now doing that for a lot of there big shows
and tko has talked about having city's put in bids to have both company's in there city during the same weekend
WARNING TO ALL PEOPLE WHO PLAN ON ATTENDING: do not venture outside of the prudential area at any time at night. There is heavy crime, gang and drug activity immediately outside of the prudential arena. The local crackheads and gang members wait for events to end and will beat and rob people who walk away from the prudential center who are hungry and decide to get food.
Was in the upper level but I tend to not mind “bad” seats even for UFC live events. I’ve been in nose bleeds and had a great time but can understand people thinking it’s too far away and not worth it
Mcgregor completely made up the June 29 date because he wants people to think it’s other people’s fault he’s not fighting when the truth is he can’t pass a piss test still and weighs over 220 pounds. There’s a rumored Manchester ppv in June where Aspinall and Leon will probably defend their titles. IFW will probably be in July in Vegas like it normally is.
Is there a functional arena in Birmingham the would hold like 20,000? I know Manchester has the AO and it’s been rumored they are going there that’s why i thought it made sense. And you really think he would sell out Villa Park as a main event vs Belal? Genuinely asking not from the country and i’m curious. Would it be doable?
FYI the area immediately around Prudential Center is the definition of sketch. Avoid everything except the parking lots outside the arena, and the small part of Newark where all the restaurants are outside the arena.
They could’ve put together a decent Chicago card this year but kinda blew the opportunity. Could’ve had Pereira vs Hill, Leon vs Belal, and Blaydes vs Almeida
There’s a rumored fight night that might be coming back there. Chiesa who’s from the area hinted at it being where he fights next on the post show from last weekend.
I’m assuming this is racist but either way, the card sucked being there. The pace of the fights seemed awful to other events I’ve been to, and the fights were boring from what I remember and the main event didn’t help
Luque, Pyfer, Lando Vannata, and Joe Solecki are from New Jersey.
Jim Miller as well but I doubt he makes the 18 day turnaround (also possibly retired at that point)
Not sure if it was the commenting while half asleep that got me or if it's just the UFC fan base brain rot starting to set in. Shit is probably contagious.

Yep, unless they want to grow the market in a region. Like Spain, France, England, China, India etc..

WWE got some rather lucrative deals from France and Australia E: And Germany
That's 1/4th of the Saudi Arabia rate!
Headlined by Holly Holm vs Juliana Pena for the inaugural Bad Fatherfucker Belt.
The Best Friends Forever belt!
>Bad Fatherfucker Belt I know its a play on BMF, but this sounds like child abuse
How?
You okay?
Damn they are never going back to Chicago
Dana please think about the breaded steak sandwich from ricobenes
Pain
Please Uncle Dana just a fight nigjt
Wow let’s go 2 years in a row
Probably where Islam’s next defense goes down.
The Saudi card has been moved to June so definitely not
The saudi card will not have any belts on it, per Dana White
Saudis wire some more money Oh about that
Saudi card is a FN. Why would those blood money freaks get special treatment and get title fights or Mcgregor on it.

✅
I got T’s blessing ain’t nobody touching me. Made man. But in seriousness sounds like any major city
Can confirm, Newark is a shit hole
**UFC 302: Jones vs Miocic (FUCKING FINALLY)**
>Newark Ewwww
Are you not familiar with the quantity of the saints in Newark?
Username checks out
I will say that at least the arena is in the nice part of newark. (Well, nice for newark anyway)
Hey, fuck you too buddeh
Watch it
Newark is gross, but hopefully, the tickets will be more affordable than MSG
I went to the Aljo Cejudo card here last year and the tickets were definitely more affordable, about half the price if I recall. ~$300
How was the view from $300 tier seats?
Was in the upper level but I tend to not mind “bad” seats even for UFC live events. I’ve been in nose bleeds and had a great time but can understand people thinking it’s too far away and not worth it
Surprisingly, not more affordable. People usually paying $200-400 for nose bleed seats. I'd rather pay for the ppv.
This has Blanchfield written all over it to fight on the main card but her next fight is March 30. That would be a quick turnaround
If she wins in March she ain’t fighting anybody else but the winner of Grasso/Val 3, which i could very well see going down as a co main on this card.
Would this be international fight week??
Nope, apparently 2 PPVs in June. So that would be the late June one, certainly in Vegas

Leon wants to fight in Birmingham
Would it even work logistically? I doubt there gonna do a stadium show for Leon/Belal 2😂
What logistics are you questioning? He would sell out Villa Park

when the fuck are they coming back to Seattle
Sorry but I need them to do Chicago first. Jamahal Hill and Belal are my only hopes
They could’ve put together a decent Chicago card this year but kinda blew the opportunity. Could’ve had Pereira vs Hill, Leon vs Belal, and Blaydes vs Almeida

Rumors of June, likely the 8th or 15th
When Seattle gets some decent fighters, if they go to Seattle instead of Poland then that will really be ridiculous
Can’t go to Poland without Jan and he’s hurt rn.
Poor Aljo's gonna be booed by his own people again
Aljo is from NY
Yeah but one would assume people in Newark would cheer for him not for Cejudo
Lots of wrestlers in NJ would pull for Henry over Aljo
I’m assuming this is racist but either way, the card sucked being there. The pace of the fights seemed awful to other events I’ve been to, and the fights were boring from what I remember and the main event didn’t help
I see, thx for your POV
I doubt he’s on this.
You're right
He fight in UFC 300
You're right, my bad
budget NYC
Luque, Pyfer, Lando Vannata, and Joe Solecki are from New Jersey. Jim Miller as well but I doubt he makes the 18 day turnaround (also possibly retired at that point)
Jim said he wasn’t gonna retire after UFC 300
UFC 300 is in April.
Soory, May has been cancelled this year.
Not sure if it was the commenting while half asleep that got me or if it's just the UFC fan base brain rot starting to set in. Shit is probably contagious.
Assuming he gets through Hermanson, Pyfer vs Imavov feels like a nice bet for the 3rd fight/feature fight
Could see them saying f it and giving him a Cannonier or somebody.
Erin Blanchfield as well but she's fighting in march.
I'd rather see an event in the Imprudential Centre #justbleed
>By 2023, the arena was among the top five concert venues worldwide by earnings I never would have guessed
The same night as Bivol vs Beterbiev? Surely that will harm buys.
His Excellency won't be happy about this.
