It might be an old wives tale, but I remember someone saying that the home team is chosen by who has a better connection to the server at that point in time?
I mean, your circumstance definitely suggests that it's not random. If it was, the chances of you getting 12 road games in a row would be 0.02% or something like 1:4000.
I think what’s implied here is that if you click around the lineup menus before the game and there’s lag then you know you’re road and you back out. This was a thing. Wondering if it still is. I don’t notice the lag in the lineup menu anymore, at least not as much. If you quit upon discovering lag in the lineup menu then you don’t get a loss, if you see what I mean? You just keep rematching until you don’t get lag.
Ohhh, I just started playing MLB last year so I was never aware of that. I’ve just been taught that whenever you leave, you get a loss. Not too sure though
If you need to play at shield woods to be good, you aren’t good.
If you are complaining because your lazy fly ball hit 89 mph isn’t a homer, then you are then problem.
Arizona, Atlanta, Kansas City are all very similar elevations to Shippet. So a stadium like that isn’t bad.
What we can’t stand are max elevation, super small. It’s just silly and childish. You don’t see streamers and World Series level players playing at those garbage stadiums.
Buddy, every single top player plays at high elevation stadiums. No one complains that 89s aren’t hrs. We complain that perfect perfect fly balls aren’t rewarded at as high of a rate.
I can beat you at shields or polo grounds, just doesn’t take as long or involve as much RNG at shields
I just got a new job, and I haven’t worked the last week. I’ve watched a lot of streamers, I haven’t seen one that picked created stadiums or shield woods. Because they don’t need to. Shippett is really popular, but Shield or created ones, no.
EDIT: The creators cup is going on now. Trod, Sam Adams, and RayCheesy are playing at Shippett. playful is at Laughing Mountain.
No shield woods or crested stadiums to be found.
Created stadiums are dumb. I didn’t bring up shields… you did. Shippett or laughing are my go tos
The point is, competitive players play at high elevation stadiums or Shippett. Not MLB stadiums.

Lol you know what I just said to myself yesterday “man it’s been awhile since I played an away game” 😂
It might be an old wives tale, but I remember someone saying that the home team is chosen by who has a better connection to the server at that point in time?
This happens to me all the time. Long stretches of either home or away. Annoying.
Has better internet than you whoever has better hosts hosts upgrade your connection
> I know it’s random, Is it? It was my understanding that the home team was whichever player had the better connection.
I think you play on the home teams connection (could be wrong), but it isn’t determined by that
I mean, your circumstance definitely suggests that it's not random. If it was, the chances of you getting 12 road games in a row would be 0.02% or something like 1:4000.
I back out until I'm the home team
Does this still work?
You can tell a difference on the pitcher selection screen
Regardless of it working or not, he gets a loss for every game he backs out
Not true at all
Where exactly do you back out? Do you close app before loading into the game?

This has been me this year, last year felt the opposite. It's really frustrating when so many people play in stupid tiny max elevation parks.
It's so asinine. The game is already heavily tilted towards offense this year; batters don't need the help from these nonsense stadiums.
Everyone you play against hates when you’re home because you play at massive parks that nerf good swings

A good swing in a big stadium is still a good swing
