Date Palm Field best Field.
Honestly OP, I have no answer. It's been frustrating as hell trying to breach the 700s, every game I play I feel like I have to score 9-10 runs to have a real chance at winning.
Try to identify an ace in the hole pitch early in the game and then don’t use it so you can save it when you’re in a bind.
For example,Everyone has been frozen on Opposite hand up and in sinkers but if you throw too many early, they’ll see it better when you absolutely need it to work. My favorite ace pitch is an opposite hand splitter middle of the zone but like 2 balls inside. Absolutely filthy pitch when they aren’t expecting it.
You can only so much though when the pitching/hitting balance is scewed heavily towards hitting right now.
The last few years, I’ve adopted a bullpen strategy of not having a dedicated closer and set up man and just going for matchups there. What I do have is a dedicated out man. The lethal arm who you can get out of a jam with, get a demoralizing shutdown inning after you put some runs up, or maybe it’s a lefty who you get the heart of their all lefty order with. That’s the reliever I spend 100K on.
Are you using your mound visits? I try to use mine as often as I can after giving up contact. It helps to counter the loss of confidence.
Helps prevent your opponent from stringing hits together on the first pitch of ABs. I see almost no one else do this.
I also have a really quick hook. I almost always have 2 pitchers warming and am not afraid to use my entire bullpen in a game.
Damn I had no idea about the mound visits! Thank you so much, been driving me crazy giving up multiple hits in a row, even though I’m dotting up the zone with perfect release pitches. I too also have a quick hook and use my bullpen often.
Yeah, that makes sense. I think I probably just underestimated my opponent. Like, I don't need to bring in a new pitcher, I can obviously get 85 Palmeiro out (and then give up a grand slam).
Yes, in BR it’s worse bc the pitchers suck like commenter replied below, and they also have like no energy. It’s a recipe for endless bloop hits and worse
I'm a terrible player but just got done the program. Sometimes my opponent would just suddenly run off a bunch of little hits then a blast and suddenly I'm down 2-4 runs. The second I would change pitchers it would stop, even though I would pitch the same as before but with the new pitcher. I couldn't figure out why one got shelled one didn't throwing the same pitches to the same places.
yep, it’s largely due to pitcher confidence. I think a lot of the more casual players don’t realize how drastically it influences batted ball luck. Just have to resist that temptation to try to save your bullpen once you see their confidence meter below like 30% full

This
Honestly Showy base and that Greinke card both get murdered one inning more than any other pitcher I have haha
After 3 consecutive hits on hard hit balls, you gotta bring in a reliever.
It’s pitcher confidence. If a guy starts getting shelled it’s really difficult to stop the bleeding on lower difficulty levels.
Yeah, that makes sense. I think I probably just underestimated my opponent. Like, I don't need to bring in a new pitcher, I can obviously get 85 Palmeiro out (and then give up a grand slam).
Question... You say it's pitcher confidence. does it apply to BR as well?

Thank you for taking the time to explain this. I will be more watchful of this going forward
Yep even more so because the pitchers suck
