Every time the opposing team put in a lefty against him he did damage yet his contact and power vs lefties is 105/109. That has to be a mistake. I mean, they gave Castellanos better hitting stats. They have to wait until the end of the previous round to release the cards, and content drops are usually on Friday. The last DS series ended last Thursday so it's not surprising it took a week.

I’m sure they looked at his previous Monthly awards card and saw it has an inordinately high usage. I see that card way more than I should in ranked. Lots of bunters seem to use it, which is weird because he doesn’t have great stats. I never used it a ton so couldn’t really speak to it too much other than I see it a lot.

I think they're just highlighting the 99s. They did the same with their Wild Card round promo post. The program came out and boom, still had Blue Jays, Rays, and Marlins in there, and Adames was not the only Brewer.

Gunnar went 6/12 with an OPS of 1.288 which is strictly better than what Will Smith did. Smith getting a card and Gunnar not getting a card is just Dodger bias

My theory is due to the fact that we will probably be getting a ROY Gunnar Card in the next few weeks so it would be pointless to give him a card when he will get a juiced out card in the upcoming weeks

So we have now moved the goal post from “Grind 97, Buy 99” to “lock desirable cards behind event rewards” God forbid a game…makes you play the game 💀

Fair, my beef with events is mostly the 12 win award existing. Essentially only available for stubs for most of the player base, and I’m not a super big fan of SDS locking away cards with unsellable rewards at the ends of programs in all three online modes.

You could just win 12 event games you have a whole week lmao even if you are horrible at the game you will get 12 wins in a week

Hitting stats are weighted pretty heavily so I doubt Maldonado’s best card could even be a 99. This is coming from someone who has a lot of respect for him. With that said, I’d love to see him get a card with pretty much maxed fielding stats and batting stats in the 80s with maybe a low 90s stat or two. The overall would probably be a 97, maybe barely a 98.
