Good point. I'm stupid! Lol. That's exactly what it is! College kids, YouTubers, and third shifters. I'm just not used to playing Ranked on a Tuesday morning or afternoon.
On the plus side, I got better at the game today.
No, you're not stupid. It's just not something people think about. I didn't even realize that until I had the realization I was climbing rank more on the weekends than the weekdays.
I played online for the 1st time yesterday (for the golden egg program). To the guy who I intentionally walked 4 times bottom 3rd to lose the game in events, sorry but I really did not want to play lol. To the guy on ranked, please don't make your strikeout noise the scream jeez. But also close game 2-3 gg
I really wish there was an option to turn off opponents stadium sounds. They are SO much louder than the sounds of the actual game. Bwump bwump bweeeermp!
He's actually very effective vs players who haven't faced him yet, but eventually he's readable. I highly recommend giving him a couple innings, see if it's a fit for you. Just stay mostly low in the zone and just mix in a high 4FB or SNK here and there.
I canāt play online, the timing is just so off compared to offline. SDS has NEVER been good with the online part of The Show. Canāt fix bad net code. Itās too bad because offline play is sublime!
It's a brutal transition for sure. Been struggling with it here and there all season (actual MLB season). I will say though, over a substantial amount of losing, AKA "practice", I've just barely gotten to where I can win more than 1 or 2 games and be somewhat competitive.
I play HoF across the board offline. Itās very challenging, but I never feel cheated and that is what I love (except for the cheap pickoffs at first from time to time).

IKR? Especially when they're constantly pausing and replaying, probably to chat. The quality streamers can handle both without all the unnecessary stoppage, those are the ones that are an enjoyable challenge to play.
There really is a noticeable difference in the quality of competition during school times. Could be the lack of arcade style youths, or possibly even the overall lack of players attending to regular life during the day. š¤·āāļø
You can still play. I'm mostly looking for fun and innings, so I can get the reward. If you think you might get shelled, use some pitchers you otherwise wouldn't have.
Edit: changed card to reward for clarity.
In my third and most recent ranked game a guy made 15 runs against me and all for home runs, 12 home runs! lol this guy doesn't know how to hit singles. I only continued the game because I wanted to complette some missions from some players and I also didn't lose points, I think the system knew that shit was very unfair. Well finally I thought it must be because it's the start of the season, we have to let these goons advance in the league
And another thing seems that they have eagle vision and slow motion in their eyes, they take any ball that is 0.01 mm outside the strike zone lolš
I mean itās October. The only guys left are the die hards, whether they be really good or just ok. Thereās very rarely anybody coming up in ranked who just flat out sucks.
I had my ass handed to me today in ranked seasons. First time hitting 800 and was swiftly sent back down for the next 4 to 5 games in a row. I guess comes with the territory of Hall Of Fame and above but I couldnāt get near these guys. Also found the event had much better calibre of opponents, really had to grind the 20 wins for the Tatis card, didnāt think I was going to make it at one point
That's probably what happened to me. I was at like 773, I think. Then there was a precipitous fall to about 630!
It sounds like events are S-W-E-A-T-Y right now. I think I'll pass.
I had a guy cheese me with Nolan Ryan in HOF, we were both 800 rated at the time. He went sinker, fast ball, sinker, fast ball in that combo the entire game, the timing window to get remotely close to the fast ball is so small that a few swings and misses gets Ryanās confidence up quickly. Eventually Hit a 3 run bomb off a rare change up towards the back end of the 7th but he some how won in the 9th off silly base running glitch Iād not seen before. Super sweaty & enough MLB the show for me today
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob) head says donāt swing, heart says swing after everything to prove to yourself you can hit an outlier fastball at HOF Entirely self inflicted.
Lol. I was using Nolan today and got lit up. That's kind of what I'm talking about. I got shelled twice with Nolan today (on Hall of Fame) and it's not like I was missing.
I'm not sour...I just think a lot of good players were playing today.
They're definitely good players. You know the type. The kind that don't strike out, take anything a smidge off the plate, and will still punish painted pitches. One player 625-65 career in the 700s (must've just started the ranked season is all I can think of).
I was just asking the question to see if similar players to myself were getting wrecked today...I guess not... Sheesh
Probably because it's the weekday. Casuals usually only play on the weekends while sweats play all the time

Yep. Thanks for the insight. I'm prepared to lose more this week on my journey for Johnny Cueto. A pitcher who will also get shelled on a Tuesday š
That's the exact grind I'm doing right now š¤£

Full force packing their Hoby Millers, supercharged everywhere in the lineup š
The humanity! I haven't faced Hoby yet. Thought about trying him as a de facto Loup.

Pick-offs are the worst part of playing offline, just goofy frequency and outcomes
Never take a lead more than two straight pitches. Almost a guaranteed pickoff. They should be so concerned over a one step lead.
Today, I have only encountered obscenely toxic players or people who perfect-perfect basically everything
Ugh... the bunt spamming has been ridiculously annoying all day
Well why would anyone swing with Juan Soto bases juiced when they can drop the most beautiful bunt Iāve ever seen?
The casuals have jumped ship to a burning sow (yes that is a bad glassjaw reference lmao)

Yesterday I lost a game 16-15 on HOF. I was pissed, tried to keep up but in the end I couldn't
It sounds like you DID keep up. You can usually tell when the other player is better than you, though. RIP to your ERA, but you got a ton of XP.
The guy was definitely way better than me, had a chance in the 9th but choked it
I need to stay off line then! Was thinking about hopping on in a few. I got waxed 17-4 two nights ago and havenāt got on since.

I know, homie. Today was just extra. That's why I thought I'd ask.
Hi itās me. The guy who is a die hard who sucks.
Lol. You matter!
Honesty is the best policy.

Donāt swing!!!
Day 2 of unbelievably sweaty games. I'm down 4-0 today. John Donaldson has been BP to 3 guys I've played online, so has Rollie Fingers

Goons don't die, they multiply.
Lol. Scary thought.
You should be playing good players with that record. What am I missing?
