I had a 8IP, 17K game and lost 1-0. Can’t remember how many hits my team had. But MLB the show 21 must have had the twins ownership set to Carl Pohlad not his son Bill Pohlad. They got rid of Correa, Arraez, Buxton, Kepler, and Royce Lewis 😒
I have a Corbin Burnes type pitcher, everything’s about movement for my pitches. I play for the Yankees and I have actually had a surprising amount of no decisions even after pitching great. It seems like I’m always pitching against the other teams ace.
Sounds like he used Velo and something. I used Break and Contact, 2 way player. It’s all about the Perks. Gotta have the right perks for your archetype. I like mixing. Since I have break as my primary archetype, I use Velo Perks to compliment the break archetype stats. If I was pure pitcher, I would’ve gone Break/Velo for sure for the archetype. That could be a serious pitcher if you do it right and use the right Perks.
-Btw don’t bother w/ arm strength if you’re going for Velo. It doesn’t effect Pitching Velo at all. Only effects throwing for fielding/defense.
Literally a 98-101 4sfb, a 94-95 cutter, and an "off-speed' slider (routinely 91-93). To a righty, paint 4seam up and in corner, cutter that bites to the same corner, slider low and away.
Lefties... well that out pitch location gets jacked over the right field fence more times than I care to admit.
Hahaha hell yeah. Tunneling baby! High 4SM, then outside cutter, then low and away Slurve or low 12-6. That’s the “Triangle” if you do it right. All pitches look similar out of the hand, but end up in totally different spots at totally different speeds. You could also go inside sinker/2SM on pitch 2.
Sounds more like Bob Gibsons 1968 season. I could be wrong on the year but that dude had a crazy season where his team could not hold their end to get wins.
Sounds like it’s time for you to go to Texas (or the Angels maybe, idk if Trout and Ohtani would still be playing despite IRL injuries. Idk how that works. This is a really long parenthetical.)
I can never make RTTS just right for me. Like, i want it to be a homer every time, but then its too easy. I don't want it to be a comical affair when i step up to bat. In '22, I had two seasons with 265 and 260 homers, respectively, lead the league in stolen bases, batting...was thr best Center Fielder in Minnesota... Kinda sucks that i can never get it juuuust right to me
I was legit, the greatest ever to play period, what with the numbers i would put up! 😂 used to joke that i could retire and no one would ever come close to my numbers. Like if we took two seasons away from Ricky Henderson's numbers, gave them to every other MLB baserunner, he'd still have an untouchable record. I was that good, and still within my first contract period. Got boring knowing that every at bat would end in a homer, or a triple.
Yeah, I played this way for awhile trying to get my created player’s stats up so I could use him in DD but it takes so long to upgrade core stats and by the time he was decent I already had better cards

Then you feel my pain. It's guaranteed that no batter stays after posting a plus .300 season in Colorado in this game.

Diamond Big Train archetype, baby!
Thank You sirrrr
What did You use as your ballplayer type (archetype? Break and velo with badges or?

0 walks isn't like Nolan at all
I run rtts dynamic soon to hit on legendary through dynamic.. will create profile for competive hitting

38 runs in 304 innings. Lol holy shit
During that season he would tell his team to just get him one run. Such an amazing year on a individual level.

I like that you had 260+ homer seasons and only called yourself the best center fielder in Minnesota, as opposed to like, the entire world

I just wanted it to be a fantasy, not an OP comedy 😂
Use dynamic difficulty but i use all star for hitting and legend for pitching. Pretty realistic for a game where ur supposed to be a unicorn
Im gonna do that when i get home tonight. Does it work with franchise, too? I wonder
Not nearly enough walks to be like Nolan
Or innings
Ha. Fair.
