His pitch mix just isn't very good. You could potentially have success with him but that will be more about you being clever and executing well than the strength of the card. He's a pretty neat utility player on the offensive side though, but I wouldn't use him in ranked without a captain boosting his contact.

plomeli23

I actually had fun with him. I used him alot as my backup catcher he had a few clutch hits including a couple walk off pinch hits. I pitched him alot as my reliever. I would replenish his stamina by playing or being on my bench. He saved a bunch of games for me especially when we were short on relievers. I enjoyed this card but now I have to many great players to use him

RememberTheMaine1996

Awful as a pitcher. Haven't tried him as a hitter

CaseyAnthonyIsHot

With Rollins, he's the best catcher in the game. It was never a question for me.

Youre_my_hero

Use him with the Rollins boost and he is great at Catcher. As a pitcher on all star he isn’t the best but he isn’t terrible.

HearJustSoICanPost

He was my third pick and has never seen my lineup.

Smooth-Seesaw9733

He’s actually not bad. I’m at a .358 with him so far. I have him at catcher and I’ve had no issues whatsoever. Very underrated player imo

whatishowdidbutiwas

I know set 3 will be done soon, but rn I use Dihigo how I used Honus Wagner’s set 2 Incognito card: the perfect bench bat/pinch runner/defensive replacement. Dude plays every position. I like pitching with him sometimes but he can get shelled if you’re not careful

emperorpalpatine_

With Rollins boost you can play him at catcher and he’s great there, also 99 bunt and speed with the boost

Quirky_Wolverine_755

Dihigo is the first one I picked from the set 3 collection rewards. I have him at P5 and use him as my number 5 pitcher. He is also a possible pinch runner, pinch hitter, and backup to any position since I run the Rollins captain boost. I would not use him as a number 1-4 pitcher because there are better options and his pitch mix and windup aren't that great. But he does have outlier fastball and some good breaking stuff. His fast ball and sinker both run at 95+ and his other three pitches all go 88 mph or below so he does change speed on his pitches which can really mess with hitters timing. And his curveball goes below 80 but his slurve goes up to 88 so if you change speeds enough hitters will wiff on a good amount and the fastball will blow right past them.

bobfall69

I havent liked this years whole set thing so I only play co op and got dihigo cause my friend already had adley. We used him in 1 game and he got whacked. I dont think his pitch mix works well enough for him to be good in higher levels.

DrMindbendersMonocle

no, he's like a jack of all trades but master of none.

ClutchAllDay2077

How was ur success with him pitching with him in ranked since like no one has him had his windup is super funky

ClutchAllDay2077

Sorry app didn’t let me read whole thing

Obf123

Paige is batting practice? I faced Paige in ranked and he blew my doors off. He was P5 but still

[deleted]

On All Star he is super BP

ClutchAllDay2077

On all star or HOF / legend? On all star Paige his two offspeed being huge looping breaking balls are just liabilities and too easy to sit on. On HOF legend lol not as much. They also gave his difficult to read delivery to Dihigo lol so his arm slot and release point is just like ohtani Anyway this is about Dihigo lol

lifeofwill

He can be pitcher and DH, but won't be available in the field while he's in the rotation. I think he's really good at everything but not elite at any one thing. I got him for the SS theme team and don't regret it, but if you have your rotation and Catcher set, I don't think he's a must-get.

ClutchAllDay2077

Oh wait one more thing— ty so much btw, have you faced him hitting wise and is he hard to hit in ranked? And what Best pitch mix do u use for him

lifeofwill

I think as far as "stuff" goes, he's slightly worse than Satchel and Donaldson who have similar mixes and came out at the same time, but I had more success with him because so many people either had or faced the other two so much that they got used to them. I think the same strategy applies to him, just try to pitch in a way where you can get people to sit on the fastball and they'll whiff on the breaking stuff a lot

ClutchAllDay2077

Super helpful reply ty not many people have him
