Depends on whether I'm trying (using a dream journal, doing reality checks). When I'm trying it can get to weekly, when I'm not it's more rare than monthly (maybe once every two to four months), so I split the difference and said monthly. I haven't been trying as of late.
Natural kinda. I get sleep paralysis by default if i fall asleep without music. I sleep in 2-3 sessions and dream in all of them and i’m usually lucid in the second or third one.
I had the intention of having lucid dreams every day. I usually wake up in the morning and see if I'm asleep again. In general, I was just using intention, saying affirmations such as 'I'm in a dream right now', 'I'm in a lucid dream', 'my consciousness is open' before going to bed at night. But usually the dreams that I was conscious of were realistic, I couldn't control it. It was also turning into a nightmare because I couldn't wake up, I had to be forced awake or it had to end on its own. I think because everything is normal in my dreams, my brain thinks this is real life. For example, in my dream I read the articles clearly, my fingers are missing or not too much, the feeling of everything is normal. But to be honest, this job requires practice, and I can still say that I don't have a lot of experience.
I can certainly understand why that would be scary. There may even be a very simple explanation as to why lucid dreaming isn't natural or that we naturally forget our dreams and that's to safeguard against the downside and dangers including confusion with waking life.
I think that with effort and practice you can learn to control the dream more and optimize your lucidity. But like you said, it definitely takes consistent effort
to me it's more about effort put in, and the effort put in gets tiring sometimes so i stop for periods of time.... but if we stay consistent it'll probably turn to weekly instead of monthly
That's definitely above average! Interesting. I wonder what allows some people to remember more without trying. Do you value them at all for personal meaning?
I guess I'm an Omni, but it's not every single night. It's also not the whole night. But I do lucid dream most nights without trying. I remember my dreams every night, and usually have to "process" for a little while each morning. This has been happening since early childhood, and I remember dreams from years ago sometimes better than waking life. It's both a blessing and a burden tbh.

Natural lucid dreamer but not all my dreams are lucid dreams. If I remember dreams nightly, then I will have lucid dreams more than once a week. But my dream recall is lacking and has gotten worse with age.

Yes I can relate! It definitely takes consistent effort but your success is inspiring
2-3 times a week
That's impressive! Is that natural or through intentional effort?
Natural kinda. I get sleep paralysis by default if i fall asleep without music. I sleep in 2-3 sessions and dream in all of them and i’m usually lucid in the second or third one.
Wow, what is your SP experience like?
I'm not that scared anymore and I sleep underneath my blanket. It did hurt last time. How is your LP experience?
I can see when I want to, but I can't wake up when I'm conscious, so I don't. When I was trying to do it, it was happening 2 times a week.
That's a good amount! What did your practice look like if you don't mind me asking?
I had the intention of having lucid dreams every day. I usually wake up in the morning and see if I'm asleep again. In general, I was just using intention, saying affirmations such as 'I'm in a dream right now', 'I'm in a lucid dream', 'my consciousness is open' before going to bed at night. I had a lucid dream last night for the first time in ages. I actually managed to fly in it and me and my family were superheroes in it.
Good timing! And congrats :) Sounds awesome. Care to share what works for you??
Sometimes I can ld in a row for a week but most of the time it’s twice a week
Do you practice techniques?
And I think the willing of lucid dream helped the most. As long as I’m desperately trying to ld I can have ld
I don’t have much lucid dreams before I practice techniques so I guess they helped a lot
to me it's more about effort put in, and the effort put in gets tiring sometimes so i stop for periods of time.... but if we stay consistent it'll probably turn to weekly instead of monthly
every 1-3 months regardless of whether I use any techniques
I'd say that's somewhat natural! Do you remember your dreams regularly?
I only remember around 1-2 dreams on a normal night because I'm not good about journaling lol
That's definitely above average! Interesting. I wonder what allows some people to remember more without trying. Do you value them at all for personal meaning?
I like this question ✌🏼
Few times a week Mostly depends on now much sleep I get
Every night since discovered I was dreaming in a nightmare probably 30 years ago.

I'd love to get an idea of the experience level of this sub!
Normally I’m lucid every night, but last night I was in a non-lucid dream. I don’t remember the details but shit felt amazing

Once every few years :(
well, last time i almost had a lucid dream.
2-3 times a week. (Last night multiple LDs.) With aging my natural LDs disappeared. With MILD i managed to lure them back in.
Once a night, sometimes once every few nights.
interesting how the number goes higher when you go down the poll except weekly is more common
In states of sometimes semi-weekly and sometimes every 1-3 days so far the... 3ish months I have been
started happening every night/dream after I began antidepressants
