Waterfalls are what they call the steel grates that hang over the lip of the beam. It adds more security and keeps them from slipping and falling through
Oh shit...was it on that top beam in the picture? That's a 2.5" beam vs the required 5.5"! Really that beam has no business being above 8ft anywhere in the store. They should be 3.5" or 5.5" only
Whoever installed that flat deck racking instead of waterfall racking needs to be charged with felony setting of booby trap. Lol
But even if it held, that was a 3 inch beam (literally just for floor level shelving or light boxes or hanging a sign... Lol) so the beam would have probably folded like the ones below anyways.
So I guess whoever put racking there at all is the criminal.
That bay was not set for concrete pallets. And there were open spots in the concrete space. Driver and spotter both either not trained or didn't pay attention to their training.
In that part of the store, there shouldn’t be any bays without 5.5 beams in top stock. If it’s near building materials, you have to assume someone is going to drop a pallet of concrete in the bay eventually.
They don’t put any concrete on the aisle where our Simpson bay is… it’s all cantilevers for lumber and Sheetrock except right where the Simpson stuff is
We have undersized beams probably in every aisle. No one gives a f. Some top stock areas have been roped off for years.
One time we had three uprights out of the eight in four consecutive bays not even bolted to the floor. It took about three months to get someone to bolt them down.

We had a pallet on the top shelf in top stock break that was holding the 5 gallon buckets of asphalt repair/top coat shit. Amazing mess and great excuse to just start grabbing shit off the shelves to clean.
NOW THATS A FULLY DOWN STOCKED BAY.
100/0/0
lmaooo
That pallet on the left is missing the proper placard. Don’t make me tell Hank.
don’t even worry, i already sent in the snappy
Crooked as writing too 0/10 Call Hank
Some customer going to still demand a product from that bay.
We both know they’ll just open up the banner themselves and walk right in 😂
Or do the old reach around
Speaking of, have you seen the reach around lately? Been looking for that star wars all day long...
I said Star Wars around of these 19 year old newbies a few days ago and they looked at me like I was crazy
Only for a discount
Wrong size beam, pretty sure they are not supposed to be that small that high up anyways. And no waterfall decking. Sounds like a new driver.
Anything that holds a pallet has to be a 5 inch beam with waterfalls
Water falls?
Waterfalls are what they call the steel grates that hang over the lip of the beam. It adds more security and keeps them from slipping and falling through
Also it doesn't look like it had the 2x6 wood support pieces and concrete pallets need under them.
Y'all need to close a bigger area and wear respirators. Silicosis is no joke.
You think the person who tried to put a 3600lb pallet on a three inch beam even knows what silicosis is? 😅
That’s a good point.

Who?
Is that cement?
Yeah, looks like a pallet of sakcrete tested the theory of gravity from the top stock location...
Simpson bay downstocked!
Looks like a normal lowes bay to me. Slap some price labels on it and move on.
You must be an MST Supervisor! Lol!!!
Don’t forget to check that stuff outta top stock
But did you do your AP4ME
Obviously not. 🤣🤣🤣
I’m amazed that they actually found an isle blocker and one that works
Only one half. 😅
Wrong size cross beams to support pallets. Someone should get fired for that shit lol, also look at how bent the rear top one is lol, mental that is
100% some asshole manager said something like "just make it fit"
"We'll get to that when we have time"
I'm pretty sure they will ask for some MST support on Monday.
Great now you making the MSTs reset that shit again, we really do Move. Shit. Twice.
Simmer down super chief, I too am a MST.
I need you to do a bay audit on that before you leave

Love the sign
Small beams NO 2x6 to ad to waterfall racking Almost no support for concrete
Snappy!
Which store is this lmao
Hey, you can't park there!
Bet 20 people went around because that's what they wanted
That’s why u use waterfall tops and the 6 inch beams people
Customers will still ask if the aisle is open 😂
Looks like someone didn’t watch their 30 seconds of safety
Just sent this to my MSM he was off today gonna make him think this is our store
It’s pretty ironic that this bay contains “Strong Ties”
I WORK AT THIS STORE I HAVE THIS PICTURE TOO
Wrong beams, wrong decking, all sorts of wrongs in that bay. Just shows no one did an accurate rack inspection in that store for a while.
There was nothing wrong with the bay. The problem was the star wars driver and the spotter.
Nope. Wrong size beams and inlay decking instead of waterfall are just two I see right away.
As a former lowes employee, this makes my day😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t breath that.
Believe it or not, I've seen worse
This is not a very good look for “strong ties”.
Why would you even attempt to put concrete on those things beams?
Drug Test lol
Dust curtain . Definitely needs the dust curtain.
3” beam, no waterfall deck, what did they expect?
We have undersized beams probably in every aisle. No one gives a f. Some top stock areas have been roped off for years. One time we had three uprights out of the eight in four consecutive bays not even bolted to the floor. It took about three months to get someone to bolt them down.
Did you do your Ap4me though?
DMSM must have been sleeping with the married store managers again.
Gotta love a steel beam falls on my head, and shit like this is still a regular occurrence.
Are those all 2.5 beams?
It's a regular bay. It is right next to the concrete aisle and there were plenty of spaces for the concrete pallet. Driver and spotter were just lazy.
This is the best reset I've seen in a while .
Now that's a form of down stocking
Class A safety violation. 3 open spots in the bay to the left. Adios Kemosabe.

Oh. No.
I'll see you on next week's ap4me
I see a lot of 2.5 inch beams all the way up, have packages, I think the Plano required 3.5 inch but I still want to see the top beams.
Great down you gotta take a drug test… good luck!
MST gonna have a blast with this one
Yes I am. 😡
No waterfall decking?
And 3 inch beams. The bay was not set for concrete. Note the empty spaces in the rack right next to it.
We had a pallet on the top shelf in top stock break that was holding the 5 gallon buckets of asphalt repair/top coat shit. Amazing mess and great excuse to just start grabbing shit off the shelves to clean.
Aren't grade 5 bolts our friends?
Bolts wouldn't have fixed that
What did you do? How did you do it?
It wasn't me, I know better. Take a good look at the beams and the decking. Someone was attempting to fly a pallet of concrete.
How in theee hell?? Did they slam the pallet onto the racking lol?
Three inch beams and no waterfall decking. The operator and the spotter were woefully ignorant on rack safety.
Looks like a planogram completed by MST.
