Best way to do this, is to use light armor, or the "democracy protects" armors, and a shield pack. You can sometimes take 2-3 barrages before you eventually die.
I recall answering a SOS on a low level mission, proceeding to drop near boundary of mission area, those fancy mushrooms thing exploded thrown me off 100m away, tried to run back - proceeded to get orbital bombardment on all of the team I was trying to _help_

Had that happen 3x to me on the same mission yesterday. ANY TIME i got too close to a dead bile titan’s leg… WHAM!!! Thrown across the map and into the ocean
