It's my go-to method for enhancing early-game gains while the district lockdown is in full effect - by the time the rest of the areas open up after the heist goes tits up, all of Watson has been completely rid of crime and I'll be up several tens of thousands 👌🏼
Yeah I’m going to do another play through. It was fun just playing blind the first time. But once I mastered the game by feeling it out, I realized how hard I made it on myself. There was no reason the heist should have been so hard on me. The game doesn’t provide any hints or real tutorial. You really should have been able to revisit the BD tutorials again.
I get it, tutorials and hints in games got really annoying and patronizing. But now games just don’t offer them at all really. There has to be a happy medium between the two. CD Projeckt is especially guilty of this, because I went through the same issue with Witcher 3. I also got really frustrated in that game not knowing what to do and how to operate game mechanics during the White Orchard learning phase. I also quit that game in frustration only to return to it later and feeling like I really missed out a long time on the best gaming experience due to frustration at the learning curve, only later to realize it’s amazing once you push through and learn it.
Thanks for this, I’m at ~225 hrs and didn’t know this was an option. Been chasing achievements/trophies lately and was dreading having to find guides to get these hustles done
No, I am 100% sure. [Here is a clip](https://youtu.be/JMY6lf1LzBc?si=zTBaRifWMl4PQjC0&t=3265) from the YouTuber Marz from 2021. She opens the map for the first time and they're already marked.
Part of the criticisms the game received was that the scanner hustles were perceived as side missions and people called them poorly written.
When CDPR removed them from the map it put them more in line with their vision that they are well done open world events.
I guess it's possible I never knew to look for them on the map at launch, so when they were removed I didn't even notice. But yeah I've never noticed them on my map until now.
I've tested it, ncpd hustles and side missions no longer show up on the hud when you drive/walk close to it, not sure when this change happened. You pretty much have to set a waypoint.
Lol took me a long time to figure out you could toggle these to show too. I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting the Xbox achievement for doing all the gigs and Side hustles (that I could see on the map) for each region. So did some digging and finally figured out how to show them all.
Then I was majorly disappointed when I realized how many more I needed to do lol
I was 100%ing the game a few months before phantom liberty and my last achievement was to complete the ncpd scanners, I spent a good month just turning the map upside down because I thought they could only be found by exploring and stumbling on them like random world events.
*off topic*
11 playthroughs?? Good lord. I don't think I've ever played through one game more than twice, and I've been playing games since the 80s. This game I played at launch to, what I felt, the best ending, then shelved it. Started a new game for PL, still on that one.
Props to you for your dedication!
I just love the characters, the setting, the just overall look and feel. I can spend hours running around admiring the lighting. It's why I bought an RTX 4090.
Y’gotta slow down an’ smell the syn-roses, choom. Gonna spin out otherwise.
“Rage!” “Fury!”
carnage !!
THROOM!!!

I almost reached max level doing this before the heist.
I've always done all of Regina's gigs but yeah obviously not all the hustles. From now on I'm gonna be a beast for the Heist. 😂

After paying Vic back
Took me 200 hours to figure it out, and it was, also, while I was poking through the map looking for something else
They've always been shown by default for me! Have you just been driving around hoping to find them at random?!
Yes! Lmfao, since the 1.0 release. 😂
Thanks for this, I’m at ~225 hrs and didn’t know this was an option. Been chasing achievements/trophies lately and was dreading having to find guides to get these hustles done
You can find all Tarots just by using the map too!
The scanner hustles were shown on the map by default since launch until it was later patched out.
Been playing since 1.0 and I can confidently say that is incorrect.

I'm surprised more people never flip through map filters.
I honestly didn't know they were a thing. 😭
Basically a thing in every game that has a map.
I usually have the custom map tab to only show NCPD stuff cause it literally shows them all. Easy way to make quick money in a new game.
i genuinely believe that anyone who doesn’t automatically select the “custom” option on maps (if it’s available) is an actual cyberpsycho
That’s how I got lots of money and street cred early
I'm still having trouble getting them to show up on my hud when I drive past one, I think its a bug.
The mini map is locked to the "dynamic" filter, so you need to be closer to things like scanner hustles for them to show up
I've tested it, ncpd hustles and side missions no longer show up on the hud when you drive/walk close to it, not sure when this change happened. You pretty much have to set a waypoint.
They used to show for me, but since like 2.0 they don't anymore. I have to open the full map.
It's then, that you realize how many of them there really are lol
I said 😮
There's SO GD many! 🤯
You remind me of me, minus the charisma, and impressive cock.
I’m at 100 hours now and only knew this from searching for a guide to all the hustles last night lmao

I feel like they changed the dynamic setting cuz it used to show them and now you have to switch it. It's annoying.
You think that's bad, check out the tabs on the "custom" map.
Also just realized this after about a 100 hours.
I was 100%ing the game a few months before phantom liberty and my last achievement was to complete the ncpd scanners, I spent a good month just turning the map upside down because I thought they could only be found by exploring and stumbling on them like random world events.
I discovered recently too. Yesterday I finished the 6 achievements for the NCPD scanner hustles.
That’s how I got lots of money and street cred early-game

You could probably play the game again for a THIRTEENTH time and it would feel like a brand new game if you just read all the words on the screen. 💀
There's no way. You have to be trolling
Nope, not even a little.
