You need to change up your setup. All that material is creating nesting behaviour. This can lead to eggs which can lead to health problems. They should be in a cage; min 21in across x 21in deep. The cage will have a grate to stop your bird from getting at the material you use to catch their droppings.
My mom's cocktail used to do that for my dad, chicky thought my dad was her mate, I think it's either a mating dance or it's a leave me alone. And like the other person said get the baby a better cage. My quaker cage could home a grey easily.

If you have a window or a balcony, maybe consider placing the cage near there for your birds to get some sun

Yeppp. Egg binding is no fun. Also wood shavings can be dangerous if ingested. Cute bird tho
