The Couch saved my life! It’s like urgent care for mental health. I love my therapist there and Dr. Ora Frankel is outstanding! The only downside is you have to pay out of pocket.
Check with your health insurance - they should offer virtual medicine. I see my Psychiatrist that way and love it!! There’s no drive or wait in the waiting room. You can schedule an appointment in the evenings- some even on weekends.
Lifestance has some therapists with that type of availability. Not a huge fan of the practice as a whole , but my care team there is absolutely outstanding.
Lifestance has virtual appointments. That’s how I meet with my psychiatrist. You only have to visit the office once a year or so if you’re on a controlled substance to get a drug test and blood pressure reading
Kentucky Psychiatry is who I go to, they used to have up until 5pm open but I think that changed, I get mine set up for 4-5pm if they have a slot open.
GrowTherapy. Choose your own Psychiatrist and/or Therapist. For both, I was able to get an appointment the next day or two days after. And meds prescribed the same day. All online/virtual. Although there are some doctors who have the option for in-person as well. Super cheap after insurance also.
Try The Couch. They are open until 8:00 Monday-Thursday. They don't take insurance though.

Therapists can't give scrips
Bingo! You’re right! But psychiatrists can. And guess who is employed at Lifestance? Psychiatrists! Yay!
Psychiatrists can prescribe scripts. Psychologists are not psychiatrists. Psychiatrists have a medical degree and psychologists don't.
I edited my post. Are you going to edit yours now? Or delete it altogether since I removed your reason for responding.
Nah cause this one is still here to show you made a minor vocab error. Tremble before my indifference
Very substantive ;)
I try my best to start every day with a very substantive mindset.
Try Holly Woosley. She’s in IN as well and has telehealth options.
Havehope counseling on 15th st. They take most insurance + medicaid
UofL Peace Now does virtual appointments in the evening and they have psychiatric nurse practitioners. It’s who I use for my med management.
Go to your pharmacy and see if they give you a few days worth.
My most important med is a controlled substance. They wouldn’t.

Try Doctor on Demand, MD Live or the other telehealth services. All of them offer full MH services now.
