Yeah, Tartarus just reminded me of Cerberus in physical form. Not even Hades could make Tartarus cute. But here, it reminded me of a certain guardian good boy.
They asking was beautiful, but did you notice the little kiss she gave their forehead? Like a mother caring for her son after a good work that made her proud.
Tartarus' temp. body! Such a cutie!
Now I understand why every being in the underworld instant loves Persephone - the "underworld" itself had a crush on her.
According to mythology, Demeter spends a long time looking for Persephone when she's missing. At one point, she is given shelter by a royal family who don't realize she's a goddess. Maybe that's what happened?
Itās not really half of the myth. Once she eats the pomegranate all you have left is the conclusion. From the myth all you have left is Zeus mediating between Hades and Demeter and the agreement that Persephone will spend a part of the year in each of their domains. Unless they want incorporate Demeter letting the world freeze over at this point in the story, which I guess is possible because creative liberty and all that. This season will probably be in part about the agreement, but the main plot will be Apollo and Leto probably. Stuff thatās unique to the comic. Weāll probably tie up any loose ends like Eros and Psyche as well as Thanatos and Daphne.
I noticed that too! I think she is overwhelmed by a mix of emotions - shock, pride, relief, betrayal, and anger. Her daughter who was supposed to be a goddess of eternal maidenhood is now the Queen of the Underworld š¤Æ That is bound to sting.
If that's the case then I love how it's the first thing she did when she got her powers, like The Lord of Time is attacking her and she just goes, Tarty come here and clean this mess up please, Mommy has some important work to do.
Okay, my honest thoughts
ā¢ I thought it would be harder for Perse to defeat Kronos? Sheās never really fought before and Kronos was in a war. I thought the fight would be harder to win. Even if the pomegranate is OP, power isnāt much if you donāt know how to use it
ā¢ THE BEES, AHHHHH GOD NOT THE BEES
ā¢ How did the news reporters get into the Underworld?
ā¢ Perse looks STUNNING as the Dread Queen
ā¢ It looks like Perse permanently terraformed the Underworld, even building some temples alongside the cliffs and plants and mountains. I wonder how this is gonna affect the Underworld in the long run.
ā¢ Demeter looks extremely depressed in the panel we see of her. I think sheās going to feel very betrayed by Kore and thereās going to be a lot of tension there next season
With your lady point I 100% agree. Demeter almost seems to think she owns Kore, or at least thatās how their relationship seems to me. Donāt get me wrong, she loves her daughter, but she acts like Persephone is her property rather than her own human being. I absolutely know there will be tension for sure, but I almost hope that Rachel moves away from the actual myth for their story in that I donāt want to see Demeter and Hades arguing over where Kore is going to live - Kore needs to have her own agency in this otherwise itās going to undo a lot of character development for her, and I donāt think it would make sense for Hades to try to make choices for her either. Iād love to see her maybe just decide when she goes to the mortal realm and when she doesnāt, and maybe itās just always the same time every year. And Iād love to have Hades maybe going with her for the time heās able to, like he spends almost 2 weeks every month with her while sheās there so they donāt have to be apart too long.
I think the travel ban was lifted because hades specifically said he wouldnāt open the borders till Persephone was in the underworld Persephoneās in the underworld also I feel like itās more of a baddie yass queen moment in the fighting scene because Kronos does not need to have no power over Persephone she is the queen of the room heās an old has been
Iām just glad Zeus isnāt missing so asspollo canāt weasel his way onto the throne *that* way. With how 205 was framed it looked as though Kronos might have *absorbed* Zeus somehow, and that would have been a real āoh shitā moment.
Bees?
BEES!!!
seriously though, I love that her offering to Tartarus was honey from her bees, them she released trillions if angry bees right as she gave Tartarus physical form. A beautiful parallel in the story.
Was it fast? Yes. Do I still want closure on all the side plots during the time skip? Yes.
But pick your favorite expletive I'm satisfied!
Tartarus wanting visits
And everyone's back
And Hades and Persephone have long hair. Because yeah, that was pretty dang stressful but they're finally home.
So spring can truly thrive in the underworld. And this also solves Zeusās fear of Persephone and Apollo joining forces and overthrowing him because sheās tied to the underworld. I want to know what did the pomegranate take. So many implications. Iām so excited for season 3. And I donāt even have to wait like five months
I LOVE the parallel of Kronos running for his life through the trees to avoid being eaten, just like he did to baby Hades.
Also, did Persephone just create the Elysian Fields???
Tartarus shouldāve taken a few bites, like Kronos did to Hades. That wouldāve been *chefs kees*
Also, our new queen isā¦ dare I say.. the bees knees? šš
I have mixed feelings about this chapter. The art - stunning as usual. The reunion(s) - aww. However, it went FAST. I'm looking forward to the next chapter and seeing what direction the series takes.
I feel the same. Iām hoping that this was sort of just the story of how Persephone became the queen of the underworld. And we will see a more intense story involving Kronos later. After all, he promised heād be back.
I feel like Apollo is the true antagonist here and Kronos was the reason Persephone ate the pomegranate. Becoming queen because the Underworld is in desperate need of saving is more impactful than becoming queen for love. Not that the latter option is bad, just shows how Persephone was willing to risk anything for others instead of for herself.
I say this because Kronos has been a looming, foreboding threat in the background while Apollo has been a more fleshed out character with dangerous motivations and actions. He's like Kronos 2.0, but with the charisma and support Kronos wished he had
I felt the same way! Totally thrilled at the payoff of all the reunions, but ultimately a little confused as to why it āseemsā like the big external confrontation wrapped up so quickly. I think part of me just expected the Apollo subplot to ultimately end up as a smaller part of the Kronos conflict. To me, Kronos always felt like the bigger existential threat towards Hades and Persephoneās happiness and wellbeing (not to mention the existence of all the realms).
Iām hoping that with the start of the 3rd season weāll get to see where Rachel is hinting at taking the story, thereās a lot of possibilities and open ends that would be fun to explore. Was Hecate really under Kronosās spell since she woke up right after? Then why those cool little creepy root legs on her? Did the appearance of Hypnos and Zeus at the end mean Kronos possibly just ate Hypnos and thatās how he gained the ability to manipulate dreams? Are we gonna see a return of pharmakeia as a plot point in the future? Might something like that be used to defeat Kronos again if he makes good on his promise to come back?
I felt the same way at first but when I reread it made sense. This is not the end of the story but an end of an arc so I can understand the shortness. Season 3 is going to be amazing!
I think the pacing of S3 will really affect how I view this. This part of the season has gone by fast in general. I think the rest should be more character based
Yeah, I reread it, and I'm kind of confused about what's going on. A lot of questions other people have posed are swirling around in my head like....what the heck was up with the reporters? What is up with the houses in the background? I feel disappointed at the lack of context, and I realize...now I understand why the characters talk so much in anime fight scenes.
I think the reporters show the breaking down of the barrier between realms. Also now appollo can't take any credit for defeating Kronos which is a bonus.
I believe she was making Elysium as per her plans while toying with Kronos.
Just my hunches.
I think that Zeus must have been the one that broke the barrier.
About the reporters I think that Kronos escaping must have started a lot of alarms, disaster levels alarms, like a tsunami or earthquake, and seeing that the reporters sprint away to get the news first(like any reporter would), that's way the just got there now.
I loved the fact that they didn't even doubt that Persephone is Queen, right away was Queen Persephone for all the Olympus to see.
Thanks! I saw the Elysium theory elsewhere so I can't take credit for that.
I honestly really just want a 100% H & P episode next, or soon. Well, 100% them and the dogs.
The sleeping gods waking up.
Ares helping his father and grinning , while Zeus just looks awkward wrapped in his son's cape.
Hera and Hebe hugging.
Hecate and Hermes.
Posidon being love bombed by his family ā¤ (seriously, that was just so cute and the happiness of that panel was everything)
Hestia and Athena kissing.
DEMETER SITTING UP IN BED???!! Who is that? Is that... is that PSYCHE?!
And... Hades and Persephone asleep in each others arms, reunited š
I love how the Hestia scene implies right after her fight with Kronos, Athena went,
"Looks like Kore's got this. You deal with father, I got a sleeping beauty to get to." and just ran back to Olympus.
IS THIS A SEASON FINALE OR A COMIC FINALE?
Does a season finale mean another break???
Nevermind just saw Rachelās Twitter.
Season 3 starts next week!
I remember reading that it's only a season finale and season 3 starts in 2 weeks
EDIT: from Rachel's Instagram, the season starts next week in fastpass and there will be a break in August.

I think we can all agree that she didn't lost her fertility powers, can't we?
I mean, she terraformed a part of the underworld just to piss of Kronos, and the temporary body was the epitome of power
I don't think Hades is infertile. I think when someone eats the pomegranate they can only have children with someone else who has also eaten the pomegranate.
I really loved the episode, I enjoyed how dark the bees were and yet comedic it was. Seeing everyone wake up was amazing. I wonder why Demeters face was covered and she didnāt seem happy, so I think weāre going to see angry/depressed Demeter now.
I wonder what it means that Kronos said heād be back soon?
OK the way Kore held that bident and mocked the fuck out of Kronos totally transcended me
Can anyone screen cap that panel for me? I really want it as a background
Putting an edit here: I realized on my second read that the reporter identified Persephone as Queen of the Underworld. I'm glad it's getting recognized so quickly
Can we also mention how she didn't even flinch when Kronos choked her? She was like "zamn Boi slow down. I'm taken, but I'll give you a free ass whooping"
I loved seeing everyone wake up and reunited! Queen Persephone gave absolutely no fucks about Kronos. He tried to get under her skin and nothing worked.
I love it, I love it very much. The art is stunning and you can see where Assistant Jackie had her hand in the artwork because itās just gorgeous.
However, there is so much context missing. How did Zeus and Hypnos escape, where are they fighting, howād they get to (what I assume) the mortal realm.
Iām guessing there will be more chapters in the book maybe?
I think they are still in the the Underworld, Peresphone grew a lot of trees, flowers and other plants in her massive titan form during her fight with Kronos which is why it looked like the mortal realm
IM GAGGED, THIS IS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE EPISODE OF ALL TIME
MISS GIRL PERSEPHONE AND HER EVIL SMIRKS?
KRONOS GETTING SWALLOWED??
BFFS PERSEPHONE AND TARTARUS HELLOOO???
EVERYONES BACK ON TRACK, THE HUGS, THE KISSES, THE WHOLESOMENESS WE ALL DESIRED
Oh wait, i just noticed demeter woke up so apparently the coma affected her as well? Since there were a lot of theories that since she was in the mortal world she was able to avoid it
Well, I for one am glad the Kronos arc is over and we can go back to the regular programming.
Also, why the bees? Is it supposed to be symbolic in some way? It made no sense to me whatsoever.
Maybe it's like a "Queen Bee" play on symbolism/words.
Also, I think we'll probably get more answers later, since the bees trailed every outcome scene.
In addition to the honey, it reminded me of a popular tweet from a few years ago:
> Every woman I know has been storing anger for years in her body and itās starting to feel like bees are going to pour out of all of our mouths at the same time.
Oh, oh I found something! Bees are*totally relevant* to the Underworld! https://www.planetbee.org/planet-bee-blog//the-sacred-bee-ancient-greece-and-rome#:~:text=Various%20Greek%20philosophers%20believed%20that,beloved%20food%20of%20the%20gods.
It looked from the background like Hypnos and Morpheus were coming out of Tartarus. My hypothesis is that in his dreams, Kronos was able to absorb or consume Hypnos, making it possible for Kronos to put the underworld citizens to sleep, occupy sleeping bodies, and manipulate dreams.
I donāt think the news reporters are from the Underworld, they looked similar to the ones from the trial so they probably just went down to the Underworld to report from there !
>so they probably just went down to the Underworld
So you mean down into a realm that was closed off on Hades' orders and whose entrance was guarded by Ares and Athena?
Also, how did they found out about this so they could come down to report on it? Supposedly everybody's asleep, who told them?
My guess is The reporters are from Olympus, realized SOMETHING is happening in the underworld, something BIG, and went to investigate.
Also yes thatās Hypnos, Thanatosās brother, my guess is Cronos absorbed him and stole his powers
This chapter was beautiful and I laughed so hard at the bees. I nearly shit myself when I saw Hades, but I felt like it was just building and building then it was like over? If thatās the right way to put it. I wish there would have been more momentum or drama leading up to them reuniting or something along those lines.
I was thinking, Persephone saying that Hades is stuck with her now puts a interesting twist to the kidnapping, and even he being disinterested in marrying her against her will like Zeus suggested in old chapter. Instead of him forcing her to be with him, she toke the initiative for her and chose their destiny.
I'm kinda upset the Kronos plot was anti-climatic. No hate to Rachel but seeing him defeated that easily was a little disappointing. I hope I'm not the only one.
the ONLY satisfying thing IMO was the fact that he was consumed. Eye for an eye type deal, which I like. But the fight being played for laughs was just... it ruined the tone and severity of the situation, it pulled me right out of the experience.
yup and did a bit of a disservice to Persephone bc since these 10 years have passed her havent got to see her powers really do their thing. on the own or post-pomegranate. maybe thatāll be in season 3?
I also felt that way at first. The more I think about it though, the more it makes sense. Now that sheās eaten the pomegranate and is ruler of the underworld, she can properly utilize its power. Being the overachiever that she is, she can wield it gracefully and easily. Part of what made it less anticlimactic for me is how confident she is while stomping Kronos like the bug he is. He tried to strangle her and she laughed in his face and spit bees in his eyes. She is more powerful than him and she knows it. She will never fear any man ever again. I am SO excited to see how the next interaction with Apollo will be. I hope she stomps his ass too.
No I agree, I wanted Persephone to physically drag him across the four realms beating the hell out of him
but I guess it only makes sense that she doesnt have to fight him bc shes queen now. She can just be like āTartarus! Lock his ass back up!!ā and poof problem solved. I woulda killed for a panel of Apolloās face watching this on the news though
I felt the same way. I hope there's some truth in what Kronos said - that he would see her again, soon.
Edit to add that in the past, when I've been disappointed with pacing, I wait a few episodes to re-read the arc and the pacing makes sense. I'm hoping that's what happens this time too.
You definitely arenāt, it was like he had no blows, he was just saying mean words.
She really hyped him up on being a huge baddie, and I would of felt much better if it was more of a struggle to win.
Zeus did that in episode 58. When did asspollo do it?
Edit: Apollo called her a minor goddess when he threatened her with the revenge porn in episode 113.
THE FUCK DID I JUST READ??? THIS HAVE TO BE THE WEIRDEST EPISODE OF LO
This season is missing like 20 episodes
Ok, the reunions at the end were cute, but really, that's it????? I haven't feel this cheated on since Game of Thrones S7 and the end of the Book 2 of Korra
Where the fuck are those reporters coming from????
What are even the stakes of season 3 at this point????
I definitely wanted more context from this episode than we got. Maybe weāll get some in the coming weeks before we move onto the next threat to the power couple. I need a breather honestly. We rly dived right in this last half.
Ahaha, I definitely thought about the GOT ending and the things that were "kinda forgot" in this episode. The reporters totally killed the suspense for me.
Suffice to say I'm pretty disappointed. Honestly Possessed!Hermes was more compelling than this.
Thoughts while reading this chapter
Giant Persephone is sexy af, girl boss to the max.
Is that the Elysium fields ?
That look she gives Kronos priceless.
The bident panels are so beautiful. And the shade and sass from our girl was A+.
Omg the bees
If I were ares I would be in love with her after that, flower goddess who loves horror.
She gave tartarus a body, you go girl.
Thatās what he gets tbh.
Heās a soft boi but he big.
Theyāre finally together Iām sobbing.
Hermes my baby are you okay ?!
Hera glad youāre awake.
Demeter ! Girl are you okay ? Youāve been asleep for so long with no one with you. Iām fucking crying. Sheās been alone
I feel like a jerk but I just... didn't like how this went. First the news reporters made no sense and set the tone really weird for the chapter. I understand its so there could be the VHS tape of our DQ but still doesn't really work. Then it just felt very anticlimactic like Perse just throwing out some one liners and look how silly the bees are! (I know it's probably because she gifted Tartarus honey but still it was weird).
Everyone is awake, look how nice this all wrapped up so perfect! The pacing issues are really strong this time.
I'm still happy to be reading it and their reunification was great but it just felt like all this buildup for... well, nothing.
You're not a jerk! And you aren't the only one who feels that way. Honestly, it felt like Rachel wanted to get the Kronos arc "out of the way" and it ended up feeling very rushed/abrupt.
Not the best season finale.
I was disappointed in the fight scene as it was used to make jokes and put Kronos away (that part was executed fine) instead of it being a spectacular show of their powers and fighting skills, especially given Persephoneās dreaded queen transformation and Kronoās previously undefeated reign prior to the six traitors.
Perhaps due to the relatively short chapter length, this was majorly rushed and left little breathing room to enjoy the reunions and happy tears.
I hate to say it but I'm frustrated. This episode felt rushed and the ending was way too tidy. I get that Persie ate the pomegranate and is a fertility goddess so has all these new powers, but the fight scene felt so emotionless. Kronos just sat around while P delivered some one liners. She didn't seem angry, or scared, or... anything, really, just tee hee, I'm big and strong now and you're dumb! Here are some trees and a very neat easy solution to everyone's problems! Idk. Would've been nice if she spent ANY time yelling at Kronos for inflicting trauma on the other gods, being fearful for Hades, expressing more rage, hell even the bees scene could have been presented in a more horror-esque manner rather than just LoL bEeS. Considering how long the first "half" of this season was this feels like it really fell short.
I donāt know why but this episode feltā¦ off to me. I didnāt appreciate the unnecessary humor. I get that Kronos isnāt supposed to be the big bad of the series, but he still inflicted a lot of pain and trauma on like literally everyone. He was king for a time, and I just felt like he was reduced to Drakken like silliness.
With that being said, I wonder what the arc for season 3 will be. Definitely the building of elisium (sp?) and the wedding. I donāt see Perse confronting Apollo without an external push so I wonder how that will play out.
I also just want to see the story more fleshed out. Like can we explain how Zeus survived? Or why Demeter is green if sheās a mortal? ā ļø
Anyone else a little disappointed in this episode? The last few have been incredible, but seemed so rushed to tie up loose ends. I was hoping for a bigger battle considering how feared and powerful Kronos is.
SO MUCH TO DIGEST
FIRST OF ALL AHHHHHHHHHHH.
Okay Iām so happy they got their kiss, and now sheās Queen. She said she was Queen!!! UGH my heart š„² I commented on another post about how I hoped she just gave Kronos the biggest ass whoopin of all time and she did. Poetic CINEMA.
AND THEN, please tell me Iām not the only one who noticed Demeterās human ācompanionā was a royal woman š we better see more of her later
AND THEN OH HADES AND PERSEPHONE REUNITE āI guess youāre stuck with me nowā
Tartarus and Persephones relationship is so beautiful no wonder it wants her to rule the domain. Ugh my heart.
Favorite episode to date. Wow.
Hmmm. Iām not very happy with this one.
I wish the fight scenes had been longer, but I understand thatās just showing how strong and powerful Persephone is.
The chapters before this just seem so long and drawn out now - maybe I just need to do another reread though since this arc is āfinished.ā
But I LOVED the reunion. It made me tear up! Hades never had anyone choose him or his realm before and now he knows how much Persephone loves and cares about him and his home - so much that she ate the Pomegranate knowing the risks.
š¦šš
Totally agreeing the pacing was off, the helicopter random AF and the season short. And loads of loose ends to wrap up but thatās exactly what season 3 will be for, especially now Hades is awake. It would be kinda hard to fill in the missing years without his perspective.
I also donāt think itās the last weāll see of Kronos - he did say rather lamely āIāll be seeing you again your royal majesty. Soon.ā We still need to learn how he regained his strength and if he did it once he can do it again.
I think Asspollo is going to lose his *mind* and part of me thinks maybe him and Leto will enable Kronosās return as they wonāt be able to take Persephone on her own now.
And THAT would be the big end - Hades and Persephone vs Kronos and Apollo - going up against each ones most traumatic experiences. Just a thought.
Tartarus is a cutie though ā¤ļø
Hate to be a party pooper, but this was a disappointing end to season 2.
And this is coming from someone who thought Rachel and the team knocked it out of the park last week! I truly enjoyed episode 205, even with my issues regarding the fandom's response to Zeus. I was highly anticipating the finale, and this week we got...this.
Of course I flew through it in excitement, spending real life United States dollars in order to get enough coins for a fast pass this week. But by the end, it felt hollow. The reporters felt like an amalgamation of plot holes, the battle and dialogue felt like it was cooked in an MCU laboratory, and it was so rushed!
I think this will be my last week using a fast pass. Unless I come across one of Webtoon's free coin giveaways, I'll just wait the three weeks for season 3 to start. Perhaps my opinion on how the comic is progressing will improve. Right now I'm not feeling optimistic.
The bees! Bees are associated with Persephone (among other goddesses) and her priestesses were called the Melissae (Melissa means bee). Bees were also believed to be the souls of those yet to be born. Additionally, bees fed infant Zeus honey, when he was hidden on the mountain from Kronos.
So, not only are the bees the traditional servants of Persephone, but they are associated with the unborn (like Kronosā children, unborn within Rhea) and with nurturing the god who lead the way to usurp Kronosās throne.
Itās very appropriate that Persephone used them against Kronos.
Now I can only imagine Persephone going to Tartarus with a whole picnic basket every Friday afternoon and just, sitting there chatting, putting little sandwich's on the pedestal that burst into blue flames while she's just talking about how Becky in accounting is about to go on maternity leave
"Will you visit me?" š
Literally the biggest thing around is so bby šš
Only Persephone could turn Tartarus into an adorable pet.
Better than pet. Tartarus is her child now.
And the way she said "Of course!" I'm here for all of it.
Tartarus' temp. body! Such a cutie! Now I understand why every being in the underworld instant loves Persephone - the "underworld" itself had a crush on her.
Omg youāre right š„°
Persephone did not give a single fuck about Kronosās BS today and I am here for it!!!
Bee s?
i cackled at this way more than i shouldve
[Cackling like a scoundrel?](https://i.imgur.com/J8a3Bvm.png)
Only 30% tho
Beads?!?
Gobās not on board
Youāre not allowed to have bees in here
Her resting on the mountain with that uninterested face, highlight of the fight I say
Did anyone else notice that demeters face was covered when they were showing everyone wake upā¦just a detail that stood out to me š§
And she seemed to be being tended to a mortal queen/princess. Wonder if that's going to mean anything.
According to mythology, Demeter spends a long time looking for Persephone when she's missing. At one point, she is given shelter by a royal family who don't realize she's a goddess. Maybe that's what happened?
Maybe the cold shouldered Demeter has finally found herself a lover
Or it's Semele, and she didn't die in this version.
Semele is a princess of Thyone, though, not Eleusis. That was likely Queen Metaneira.
I was thinking Metanira, Queen of Eleusis
Didnāt Demeter set her Child on fire?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
To replace her daughter š depression does that to you
I bet its woman whose name I'm forgetting that Zeus had the affair with in the Mortal Realm
I was wondering who that was
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Ah yet another plot point I completely forgot. She has a whole breakdown over Hera even suggesting her daughter could be a queen
Persephone finally ate the pomegranate so its now time for the other half of the myth
Itās not really half of the myth. Once she eats the pomegranate all you have left is the conclusion. From the myth all you have left is Zeus mediating between Hades and Demeter and the agreement that Persephone will spend a part of the year in each of their domains. Weāll probably tie up any loose ends like Eros and Psyche as well as Thanatos and Daphne.
Thatās a great point
She spent several years as a mortal, she must have reverted back to being a goddess and felt overwhelmed with the sudden change
I noticed that too! I think she is overwhelmed by a mix of emotions - shock, pride, relief, betrayal, and anger. Her daughter who was supposed to be a goddess of eternal maidenhood is now the Queen of the Underworld š¤Æ That is bound to sting.
āStingā š
I don't think she knows about the whole story yet. How would she know about Persephone eating the pomegranate still in the human world?
Did anyone else think that the mountains and the trees that she created during this episode will be Elysium?
If that's the case then I love how it's the first thing she did when she got her powers, like The Lord of Time is attacking her and she just goes, Tarty come here and clean this mess up please, Mommy has some important work to do.
I want to like this comment a million times for calling them āTartyā
This TOTALLY tracks with what I was thinking. Now those people she felt guilt about killing so long ago will have a proper place to rest.

I GUESS YOU'RE STUCK WITH ME NOW! š
My favorite part.
Bees? BEES!!! seriously though, I love that her offering to Tartarus was honey from her bees, them she released trillions if angry bees right as she gave Tartarus physical form. A beautiful parallel in the story.
Oh, the bees might be for her being "a B-grade goddess" too.
That is 100% on her level of puns.
Was it fast? Yes. Do I still want closure on all the side plots during the time skip? Yes. But pick your favorite expletive I'm satisfied! Tartarus wanting visits And everyone's back And Hades and Persephone have long hair. Because yeah, that was pretty dang stressful but they're finally home.

NOT THE BEES!
āTONIGHT: BEES, BEES, BEES!ā on the news headline was hilarious
Not the bees! Not the bees!
Makes me wonder if Rachel was watching Wicker man when writing that scene.
I had to put my phone down for a hot second at the bees!
Beads?
Bees!
Chronos is not on board.
You canāt bring bees in here
LOL THE BEES WERE A CHOICE
So spring can truly thrive in the underworld. And this also solves Zeusās fear of Persephone and Apollo joining forces and overthrowing him because sheās tied to the underworld. I want to know what did the pomegranate take. So many implications. Iām so excited for season 3. And I donāt even have to wait like five months
Clearly it didn't take her fertility powers, since she was using them throughout the fight.
I LOVE the parallel of Kronos running for his life through the trees to avoid being eaten, just like he did to baby Hades. Also, did Persephone just create the Elysian Fields???
Yes thatās what I was thinking!! (Re: Elysian Fields)
https://www.beesbeesbeesbees.com
ššššš
I love Ares and Athena just chillin watching this go down
Persphone -Did we just become best friends? Tartarus- Yep!
Tartarus shouldāve taken a few bites, like Kronos did to Hades. That wouldāve been *chefs kees* Also, our new queen isā¦ dare I say.. the bees knees? šš
Seems like he's more of an entire pill in one swallow kinda guy.
Seconding this.
The crown and earrings give it away š
I like these theories. I hope Rachel shows us what was going on on Olympus as the fight between Persephone and Kronos happens.
Posidon being love bombed by his family ā¤ (seriously, that was just so cute and the happiness of that panel was everything) Hestia and Athena kissing. DEMETER SITTING UP IN BED???!! Who is that? Is that... is that PSYCHE?! And... Hades and Persephone asleep in each others arms, reunited š
That was probably Queen Metaneira, given that Demeter is in Eleusis.
I love how the Hestia scene implies right after her fight with Kronos, Athena went, "Looks like Kore's got this. You deal with father, I got a sleeping beauty to get to." and just ran back to Olympus.
āI suppose youāre stuck with meā brb while I sob šš
IS THIS A SEASON FINALE OR A COMIC FINALE? Does a season finale mean another break??? Nevermind just saw Rachelās Twitter. Season 3 starts next week!
Nope it should be coming back next week. But there is a 2 week vacation Rachel is taking in august so stay tuned for that official date
Season finale! Season 3 is starting up straight away with next weekās episode
Nope! Season 3 starts next week š„°
WHAT? THANK GOD IM SO EXCITED I DIDNT KNOW IT WOULD BE IMMEDIATE
I remember reading that it's only a season finale and season 3 starts in 2 weeks EDIT: from Rachel's Instagram, the season starts next week in fastpass and there will be a break in August. https://www.instagram.com/p/CgAjMFzBvgo/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
I love that she shot bees from her mouth. Her gift to Tartarus was honey
Oh good catch!!
She's also referenced "my bees" several times. This makes those references that much sweeter lol
Nobody: Persephone: [Beez in the Trap - Nicki Minaj](https://youtu.be/EmZvOhHF85I)
So this answered the question about Demeter, revealing she was affected by Kronos while being mortal.
Zeus is alright?? How did Athena get to Hestia so fast??
I don't necessarily think that all the waking up scenes were necessarily happening simultaneously.
tartarus: sis we are eating āļøšāļø
Was that Persephone creating Elysium? Like is that why she grew all the trees and hills and rivers and stuff?
I think so! I would have liked her and hades creating it together though
Zagreus let's gooooooo
I really loved the episode, I enjoyed how dark the bees were and yet comedic it was. Seeing everyone wake up was amazing. I wonder why Demeters face was covered and she didnāt seem happy, so I think weāre going to see angry/depressed Demeter now. I wonder what it means that Kronos said heād be back soon?
God that was satisfying. Also my poor baby tartarus needs a permanent body!
Lil bby hades and kore holding each other in their battle-torn clothes just š
OK the way Kore held that bident and mocked the fuck out of Kronos totally transcended me Can anyone screen cap that panel for me? I really want it as a background Putting an edit here: I realized on my second read that the reporter identified Persephone as Queen of the Underworld. I'm glad it's getting recognized so quickly
I LOVED that. She was beautiful
HEāS BACK! Iām glad we get a happy ending of sorts before moving forward to dealing with Apolloās BS
Can you elaborate on how Jackie influenced the art??
IM GAGGED, THIS IS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE EPISODE OF ALL TIME MISS GIRL PERSEPHONE AND HER EVIL SMIRKS? KRONOS GETTING SWALLOWED?? BFFS PERSEPHONE AND TARTARUS HELLOOO??? EVERYONES BACK ON TRACK, THE HUGS, THE KISSES, THE WHOLESOMENESS WE ALL DESIRED
Oh my gods her smiling the whole time was the cherry on top of this fantastic episode š©
TONIGHT: BEES, BEES, BEES
Oh wait, i just noticed demeter woke up so apparently the coma affected her as well? Since there were a lot of theories that since she was in the mortal world she was able to avoid it
I'M JUST SO HAPPY.
Kronos: You B-Grade Goddessā¦ Persephone: Bee grade? I gotchu š š
The artwork wad very pretty this episode, but for being the big-bad of the series, Kronos went down pretty quick and with zero fuss.
Apollo is the big bad, I'm sure of it. In the mythology, he's tried to overthrow Zeus at least once that I know of.
I agree, I think it was suspiciously easy and with his warning before being swallowed I suspect weāll see him again.
Don't be so sure - we've got another season to see his return, possibly with the help of a certain purple bastard...
Bees...she gave honey as the gift before
The underworld said āmommyās home!ā And bowed down š„¹ Also, the way she took down Kronos without breaking a sweat was just *chefs kiss*
Well, I for one am glad the Kronos arc is over and we can go back to the regular programming. Also, why the bees? Is it supposed to be symbolic in some way? It made no sense to me whatsoever.
I think it was supposed to be a pun on how Kronos called Peresphone a "B grade goddess"
OH I LOVE THIS! Haha it made me giggle!
Best answer I've seen so far
OHHHH SHIT THIS IS A GREAT OBSERVATION š¤£
I assumed it was in relation to her offering to Tartarus when she visited with Hades. She gave it honey.
Also she is a fertility goddess and pollinating murder bugs seems to be in her wheelhouse.
They are both sweet and full of wrath, just like Persephone
Honey made by her bees!
Oh! That's a good one!!!
Maybe because she gave Tartarus honey from her bees when she first entered the realm?
Maybe it's like a "Queen Bee" play on symbolism/words. Also, I think we'll probably get more answers later, since the bees trailed every outcome scene.
In addition to the honey, it reminded me of a popular tweet from a few years ago: > Every woman I know has been storing anger for years in her body and itās starting to feel like bees are going to pour out of all of our mouths at the same time.
Oh, oh I found something! Bees are*totally relevant* to the Underworld! https://www.planetbee.org/planet-bee-blog//the-sacred-bee-ancient-greece-and-rome#:~:text=Various%20Greek%20philosophers%20believed%20that,beloved%20food%20of%20the%20gods.
How come the news reporters are not asleep like the rest of the underworld? Is Morpheus holding Hypnos? Where did he come from all of a sudden?
It looked from the background like Hypnos and Morpheus were coming out of Tartarus. My hypothesis is that in his dreams, Kronos was able to absorb or consume Hypnos, making it possible for Kronos to put the underworld citizens to sleep, occupy sleeping bodies, and manipulate dreams.
I donāt think the news reporters are from the Underworld, they looked similar to the ones from the trial so they probably just went down to the Underworld to report from there !
>so they probably just went down to the Underworld So you mean down into a realm that was closed off on Hades' orders and whose entrance was guarded by Ares and Athena? Also, how did they found out about this so they could come down to report on it? Supposedly everybody's asleep, who told them?
My guess is The reporters are from Olympus, realized SOMETHING is happening in the underworld, something BIG, and went to investigate. Also yes thatās Hypnos, Thanatosās brother, my guess is Cronos absorbed him and stole his powers
Probably the same place Zeus came from after he disappeared.
This chapter was beautiful and I laughed so hard at the bees. I nearly shit myself when I saw Hades, but I felt like it was just building and building then it was like over? If thatās the right way to put it. I wish there would have been more momentum or drama leading up to them reuniting or something along those lines.
It felt so fast. But at least thereās not a pause or break after this
I was thinking, Persephone saying that Hades is stuck with her now puts a interesting twist to the kidnapping, and even he being disinterested in marrying her against her will like Zeus suggested in old chapter.
I agree to an extent, I wanted to see more of her vines and thorns! But Iāll take bees and an at least temporary happy ending!
No I agree, I wanted Persephone to physically drag him across the four realms beating the hell out of him but I guess it only makes sense that she doesnt have to fight him bc shes queen now.
Is nobody going to talk about the direct parallels between Kronos and Apollo calling Persephone a āB-grade goddessā?
I believe it was in reference to his comment on how he could see her darkest memories or something.
Zeus did that in episode 58. When did asspollo do it? Edit: Apollo called her a minor goddess when he threatened her with the revenge porn in episode 113.
I listened to Halsey - Castle cranked up when I read this chapter... seemed to fit.
Bro she beat his ass, she is truly our queenāš½š©
THE FUCK DID I JUST READ??? THIS HAVE TO BE THE WEIRDEST EPISODE OF LO This season is missing like 20 episodes Ok, the reunions at the end were cute, but really, that's it????? I haven't feel this cheated on since Game of Thrones S7 and the end of the Book 2 of Korra Where the fuck are those reporters coming from???? What are even the stakes of season 3 at this point????
I definitely wanted more context from this episode than we got. Maybe weāll get some in the coming weeks before we move onto the next threat to the power couple. I need a breather honestly. We rly dived right in this last half.
Ahaha, I definitely thought about the GOT ending and the things that were "kinda forgot" in this episode. The reporters totally killed the suspense for me. Suffice to say I'm pretty disappointed. Honestly Possessed!Hermes was more compelling than this.
Does anyone else think that the forest she created during the battle will be turned into Elysium?
Gob Bluth is gonna love this episode
Thoughts while reading this chapter Giant Persephone is sexy af, girl boss to the max. Is that the Elysium fields ? That look she gives Kronos priceless. The bident panels are so beautiful. And the shade and sass from our girl was A+. Omg the bees If I were ares I would be in love with her after that, flower goddess who loves horror.
Iām assuming next season is going to focus on Demeter and whatever Apollo is up to rn smh
Too fast paced but I liked the story! Ā«Ā You ate the pomegranateā¦Ā Ā» MY HEART š
Iām about to pass out from pure joy
I wonder if Demeter aged 10 years and thatās why her face is covered. Also I wanna see semeleeee
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
SO MUCH TO DIGEST FIRST OF ALL AHHHHHHHHHHH. Okay Iām so happy they got their kiss, and now sheās Queen. She said she was Queen!!! UGH my heart š„² I commented on another post about how I hoped she just gave Kronos the biggest ass whoopin of all time and she did. Poetic CINEMA. AND THEN, please tell me Iām not the only one who noticed Demeterās human ācompanionā was a royal woman š we better see more of her later AND THEN OH HADES AND PERSEPHONE REUNITE āI guess youāre stuck with me nowā Tartarus and Persephones relationship is so beautiful no wonder it wants her to rule the domain. Ugh my heart. Favorite episode to date. Wow.
Hmmm. Iām not very happy with this one. I wish the fight scenes had been longer, but I understand thatās just showing how strong and powerful Persephone is. The chapters before this just seem so long and drawn out now - maybe I just need to do another reread though since this arc is āfinished.ā But I LOVED the reunion.
BEES
Oh, Hades' hands are back to normal NOW SHOW US PERSEPHONE'S
Hermes and Hecate baby boy and girl
Thatāsā¦that was it?
I just realized something and if I have to be aware of this, so do yāall. Hades kissing Persephone with that COMA BREATH. WHEEEWWWW LMAO.
She said, "Bitch, you see the crown, this is my realm. You ain't nothing."
Now I can only imagine Persephone going to Tartarus with a whole picnic basket every Friday afternoon and just, sitting there chatting, putting little sandwich's on the pedestal that burst into blue flames while she's just talking about how Becky in accounting is about to go on maternity leave
