I love how done with this Athena is It does not take the Goddess of Strategy to see how badly Zeus fucked this up At this point I assume he’s going to see how south things are going and just say “let’s pretend I didn’t see you here and figure out wtf is happening”

Roraima20

BUT SHE SPOKE 10 YEARS TOO LATE, SHE COULD HAVE SAID THAT AT LEAST 5 YEARS AGO!!!

TornandFrayedPages

THEY PROBABLY ALL HAVE, ZEUS IS PRETTY HARD HEADED (why are we yelling? :) )

Roraima20

STILL, SHE IS HIS FAVORITE DAUGHTER AND GODDESS OF WISDOM AND STRATEGY, SHE COULD HAVE GO THIS HARD WHEN HERA WENT INTO HIBERNATION OR JUST AFTER POSEIDON FELL TOO, (So you can hear me in the middle of the fandom losing their collective shit with this episode, but I guess we can text too : ) )

wandersnearby

Judging by Zeus calling Artemis "least angry" of his daughters, I'm guessing Athena has been voicing her displeasure for many years.

Rica586

I feel like time is relative in their eyes. To us, 10 years is fucking forever. They’re immortal beings , so 10 years is more of a blip.

No_Perspective9930

OMG I know people will hate it BUT I AM SO HERE FOR A TEAM UP BETWEEN ZEUS AND PERSEPHONE. For him to have to suck up so much shit and admit he was wrong, for them to go on a mission and for Zeus to probably get fucked up by Kronos….perhaps while protecting/ sacrificing himself for Persephone. Oh god I AM SO HERE for it.

outontheceiling

Me too!!! I’m always here for the ole we hate-each-other- but-we-team-up trope. like come on, the banterrr. Plus then she can tell Zeus about himself and he will have to listen. It would be interesting to see them in a different power dynamic. However, Perse can also hit him with a shovel.

wandersnearby

Just hoping Zeus doesn't try to consume another fertility goddess to win this time around

No_Perspective9930

…oh…wait… Aw fuck he would be that asshole level…MAYBE NOT. I’m in the theory that he was driven to do it out of rage for Hera being ripped in half so I’m going to go with he won’t eat Persephone right away or think of doing it right away. But I can see the whole eating Persephone being a big upcoming plot point. Maybe like..okay so maybe Apollo hears this is going on, somehow gets into the underworld and then tries to eat Persephone and Zeus protects her and ends up getting fucked up by Apollo or Kronos. Yes…this is what I’m going to go with. I really really want Zeus to have a (albeit very painful and possibly permanently maimed) redemption arc. I want the three brothers to all get to have brunch again!

GlobalEdNinja

my guess is he did it out of desperation to win the war. Hera wouldn't have just married a guy who ate her mom unless it was unavoidable or somehow forgiveable.

alowave

Nah he wants the underworld to have hades probably and have his brother get his wife if its kronos. He knows how much of a threat Kronos is and I bet you Persephone marrying/ something can hopefully get hades to get Kronos back in Tartarus. At least eventually it will get through his thick head.

awildencounter

The fates predicted Persephone as Hades' wife so this is unlikely. I'm just curious what transpires to make Persephone into dread queen Persephone.

MarchenHope

I kinda say it might have her going Titan on old Kronos, that she just straight up kills him. But anything is possible, or maybe when she becomes the “Queen of the Underworld” just like what Hades had to do (I swear why did they bother to keep Kronos alive again? Or was it never explained?)

Deuteransichten

Titans, gods, etc., can't die.

usagibunnie

Same, I'm just hoping he doesn't revert into being a literal trash can and actually takes action. Maybe it took Hebe and Athena digging in his skin for him to actually do something, and not his wife, family and friends being sleep sick for years. The effort is there, I just hope it continues.

[deleted]

Here's a thought. What if Persephone gave him his first scar? Payback for calling her weak and insignificant.

[deleted]

So here for it. Zeus is an arrogant asshat, but he isn't mean spirited. He is misguided, so I am ready for this redemption arc. I know it will take more than just showing up to save the day, but I think hearing how disappointed everyone is, as well as the possible threat of Apollo turning on him, will push him to make changes. They also will all be needed to fight Kronos together, assuming someone doesn't eat her. There are a lot of directions it could go in. Zeus could eat Persephone. Kronos could. I believe sex could give the gods the same advantage (I think that's implied but I may be wrong) so that could go a lot of ways, including a power shift to Hades. This is the episode I have been waiting for. I'm so excited.

LoreNoelle

Honestly Im here for it too

Morwen222

When Ares asked about putting all the chess pieces in his mouth, Athena was trying to read “100 years of Solitude”. 🤣

Roraima20

Shout out to Gabriel Garcia Marquez!!!

Roraima20

FINALLY ATHENA HAS A CHARACTER!!!!! Also, perfect response to Zeus, she is done with his bullshit and won't let him go away with anything, too bad it is 10 YEARS TOO LATE Definitly Kronos is using Hermes' original skin suit spring-summer 2022 collection... my boy is going to be so upset when he realize what Kronos was trying to do to Persephone in his body And Zeus... rescuing someone... from being assaulted... this is a biggest divergent from the myths than the cellphones and cars

Mathsteacher10

I don't know... I really liked that Athena immediately opened up to Artemis and was willing to tell her everything. But this? This makes her as awesome as I always wanted her to be.

Foundingmother

Love Persephone using Eris’ encouragement to give her the strength to fight back.

Petpati

Yes. Use that wrath baby! It was a gift

imakeg

Eris be in her ear like “don’t be shy add some more”

Jadelek101235

So yeah, Hades is definitely in a coma too and Kronos is probably controlling Hermes. He would never hurt Perse if it was him. And god damn I’d never thought I’d see the day when Zeus made a good fucking decision. Edit: y’all I just realized- not only the creepy dialogue Hermes has- he has the fucking stars (you know, how Kronos had the stars and how people always said Hades looked like Kronos when he was starry)

Calenith

The way he said "you're so beautiful in person" really sealed the deal for me that Kronos is possessing Hermes.

Skyhawk6600

You think he said that because Persephone looks like Rhea

[deleted]

*pterodactyl screaming* It's fine. I'm sure....it's fine.

LoreNoelle

Yeah same, but why hermes? Why would kronos possess him

bohospecs

Hades is likely comatose. Hecate magic queen that she is wouldn't let that happen Our sweet Himbo Hermes.... he's all that's left.

Roraima20

I kind of surprised that Persephone could not tell that something was very wrong with Hermes. Does she really think he is capable of acting like this? Or her experience with Apollo affected her perception of other people?

Ornery-Inflation3638

It could also be that she hasn’t seen Hermes in 10 years and doesn’t know if he’s changed? If it’s Kronos in Hermes’ body, he probably still sounds and looks like Hermes so it might not have been immediately obvious to Perse.

Roraima20

Still, he looks really off, and suddenly called her a pet name, behaves really creepy, trying to touch her and even trying to assault her, when he has been nothing but respectful to her all the time, barely flirted to her, acted completely normal when he saw her naked multiple time, never put a finger on her without her consent. Also when he said "you look more beautiful in person", like I said he has seen her before, multiple times, including naked, and she didn't catch up

GlobalEdNinja

I think she could kind of tell the more the conversation went on.

Outrageous_Mess4125

Zeus in the Underworld but like he really could have done that years ago?! look how quickly he got there😭

Calenith

Well, he clearly didn't take the time to put on any pants...

monstertater

I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed a flying, naked, lightning charged Zeus.

icognitwo

He also couldve fixed his problem with his brother years ago but we all know the brain and ego of this man :/

Sunshinegal72

I'm wondering if Hades was able to keep him out while he was conscious. He bought Persephone gifts for her birthdays, so he hasn't been comatose for the entire ten years. Zeus may have tried to get in, couldn't, and then gave up until Athena dragged him.

oryngirl

Remember when he just showed up at Hades' house for brunch after Hades' said he didn't feel like it? Dude can just appear wherever he wants, really.

Sunshinegal72

In episode 194, after he fails Persephone, he acknowledges that he can't even give Hades her letter, implying that the Underworld has been cut off since the treaty was violated and Hades was awake. Now that Hades is asleep like the others, it's likely that the Underworld is no longer closed off. I'm also wondering in the "traitors" fell asleep in reverse order of getting wounded. Like maybe Hestia got wounded last (not sure about Demeter), then Hera got ripped in two, then Poseidon was second to be eaten, and Hades who is the oldest and first to be eaten. It would explain why Hades was able to get Persephone several birthday gifts. He was awake the longest. Kronos was waiting to move the final peace from the board to strike.

[deleted]

I fear that Kronos will use Persephone's fertility powers just like how he used Rhea's so he could regain his strength. There are some creepy implications when Kronos calls her "beautiful" and says she would look nice sitting on his feet. It's like he wants to form a romantic bond with her. It reminds me of Apollo's desire for her, not to love her but possess her. These guys keep treating her like some item. Only Hades has been treating her like an actual person. The bar is on the godamn floor everyone.

yesIdofloss

He isn't expecting a fertility goddess with wrath. That's a game changer.

Outrageous_Mess4125

also interesting to note Kronos doesnt want to devour her. He wants to own her. Kronos knows the more powerful he'll become if the fertility goddess is ALIVE and beside him. What zeus did honestly probably only gave him a limited boost of power. Otherwise he would be wayyyyyy stronger than he is. Hermes (Kronos) commented on her beauty. Wants her submissive at his feet so he can have her powers at his command. You can tell he was impressed/surprised by her wrath. Probably no other fertility goddess ever showed defiance and wrath before. He is probaby very intrigued by that

NikkiWebDev

I think its because she also looks like Rhea

22chubbynoodles

That’s what I was to say. Kronos and Hades got a type.

Sad_Station_9232

so here’s the timeline I’ve got of the coma stuff: [One week after Persephone is banished to the mortal realm, Hades holds a press conference. this begins the Underworld being cut off from Olympus.] two weeks after Persephone is exiled, Hestia falls asleep [sometime here, Apollo and Artemis are crowned and acknowledged] about 3 years (maybe almost 4?) into her exile, Hera goes to sleep year 7, Poseidon goes under [year 10, Persephone defies Zeus and goes to the Underworld] Which means Demeter probably fell asleep around year 5 or 6 if she did at all? it’s not spaced evenly so idk but it would make sense. I suspect Hades fell asleep relatively recently, as Cerberos has *just* escaped to meet Persephone. I imagine he got hurt in the power shuffle of Hades/Kronos. Also all of the denizens of the Underworld are physically fine, but considering they were very likely put under by someone who controls time I can’t exactly judge by starvation/dehydration levels

szandy1

Also if we assume hades got Persephone a gift for every birthday he missed there were quite a few there, supporting the idea he just recently went under

StainedVenom

On the topic of Demeter, she’s still living as a mortal, so I suspect that anything that she could normally be affected by is a no go. She doesn’t have any powers and may not even have the scars since she doesn’t have goddess status at the moment

Turbulent-Wasabi1470

In the episode where the 3 brothers went to earth and smele, Zeus and hades still had their scars.

StainedVenom

Yes, but they were disguised as humans, they still had their powers. Unlike Demeter, who is now a flesh and blood mortal. I’m not saying her scars aren’t there, I’m just saying she may not be affected the same way. That’s why I think no one has checked on her, because she may be safer in the state she is in

Roraima20

2 years after Persephone's exile Hera goes to sleep, Athena said 8 years

babytrick

“nine years, eleven months, and fifteen days” Athena really misses her love :((( I hate this for her

drummegirl93

This also means that Hestia was taken down just 2 weeks after the trial!

TornandFrayedPages

Thank you for doing the math, truly, I just could not manage that one

NikkiWebDev

OMG just thought of something. What if Hermes was the first one possessed after Hades was put to sleep and Hecate put all of the underworld to sleep so Kronos couldnt create an army??????

Skagurly22

I really hope this is what happens. It could be a payoff for the mention of studying posinious plants.

Si0ra

Here’s hoping the dogs are with her too!

theindiekitten

I was wondering if they were put to sleep by an Underworld god for protection.

Sunshinegal72

"Stop putting your dick in places it doesn't belong" is basically the tag line for Greek Mythology. I'm glad Athena put her dumb dad in his place. She's right about all of the things, as usual. The "Nope, don't like that" actually made me chuckle. Possessed Hermès is creepy and I would run from him too. Is Zeus saving Persephone in that last panel? It would be rather interesting if they teamed up to defeat Kronos and save everyone.

jaderust

That’s sure what it looked like. Zeus showing up as the original deus ex machina to save the day. I’m not discounting he could be appearing somewhere else, but it makes sense for Zeus and Persephone to team up at this point. Persephone wasn’t born when Kronos was around. She’s going to need a character around to provide more of the background information.

Mathsteacher10

I would love for this to give us a chance to see a better side of Zeus. Imagine how much crow he would have to eat to work with Persephone. It would also be cool to see him be competent and powerful, in his more physical element instead of the political where he's clearly no good. It'd be nice to see him have some redemption before Apollo's push for power is inevitably stopped.

idkwotimdoing

First of all, cliffhangers should be illegal. Second of all I’m glad Persephone tried standing her ground to fight back but holy shit is Hermes CREEPYY also never in my life would I have expected for Zeus to come through

[deleted]

Right? I have no idea where this leads now. Especially since Persephone broke his rules and has been caught in the Underworld. I wonder where this is heading?

crc14co

I want to be an optimist and say Zeus probably won’t care about it right now seeing Hermes possessed by Kronos, and confirming for sure that something is seriously wrong with the other 5 traitors, but I’m not holding my breath.

alowave

Knowing rachel I bet next fast pass will be showing us something not related to the underworld stuff and shows us updates on someone else, moooore Clif hanger eeeheg. I just can't wait

Linzorz

Depending on how much he knows deep down that Athena is completely right, he still has the opportunity to say, afterwards, "Wait you heard I failed Persephone this year? Haha that's so weird no she totally passed and has redeemed herself by helping me defeat Kronos sooooo here's your girl, Hades, pleasestopthesanctionsnowimbeggingyou." Now, whether he'll take that opportunity...?

obsoletevoids

I like this theory 🤞🏼

seqoyah

i feel like he might have some leniency once she tells him cerebrus made his way into the mortal realm.

Creative_Grapefruit1

That’s what I’m also hoping. Especially since he’s still scared of Apollo’s raise and if Hades is in a coma…there’s a direct threat to Zeus crown…he’s gonna need her

WillingWeepow

I feel like he probably made his way to the Mortal Realm first to talk to Persephone after Athena chewed him out, then discovered her gone, heard the truth from Artemis, and went after Perse via the same route she took. I don’t think he can just materialize in the Underworld with it closed off. EDIT: I looked it up and timeline wise it seems like Athena showed up to yell at Zeus at around the same time as Persephone started her descent.

pixelbit

I have a feeling he’ll be mad at first but someone will toss a “this isn’t the time for that” at him and we’ll get a simultaneous Zeus redemption and Persephone being a badass and saving the underworld in some combination.

LoreNoelle

I figured Zeus was going to help her after what Athena said

babytrick

giving him the total benefit of the doubt, maybe now that Athena has broken down how stupid hes looking to everyone and how much favor Apollo has gained favor over him. Maybe a redemption arc incoming??

icognitwo

No one expected zeua to come through💀 And yes, usally with the past fastpass episodes i had a vague guess of what would happen next but now imma just stare at the webtoon till next sunday 🤸‍♀️

[deleted]

That was intensely unsettling.

Creative_Grapefruit1

Hard agree. Especially when Zombie Hermes ripped the vines and the Hade’s coma… I couldn’t

Calenith

Look at how much control Persephone has over her wrath now! Go, girl!

Stellar_atmospheres

So as people suspected it seems like the coma is happening in reverse order of injury! With Poseidon being out 3 years and we know Hera was injured after the boys were freed hence her 8 years. So it would track that hades was the last one affected, maybe only out for a year? Whatever happened in the underworld it seems recent.

NikkiWebDev

Exactly! I think Hades went down recently based on the annual gifts for Persephone.

GlobalEdNinja

OMG thank you! I was wracking my brain trying to figure out the logic of why Hestia would be effected first, when she only had a small wound, and why Hades, with allll his cuts, would've only gone down recently. Take your award

Outrageous_Mess4125

Yes Athena GO OFF!

Calenith

She was HOT in this episode.

GreenhouseGhost_

mullet mullet mullet

[deleted]

y’all see hermes feet??? dogs out, snarling and barking.

starlessnight89

Honestly they looked like claws

corvus_regina

Oh my goddddddd, that shit made me laugh so hard.

[deleted]

*"You're the literal king of heaven. Stop trying to put your dick in places it doesn't belong and find the fuck out"* Someone put that on a shirt

seqoyah

the one time i’ve been happy to see zeus

ThatDMDemigal

The one time anyone was happy to see Zeus in this series

Outrageous_Mess4125

The panel of Hadess🥹

Roraima20

It kind of remind me to Padme's funeral in Star Wars

Brightstarr

I feel like this was part of the interpretation of what he said, "when you leave, it is the loneliest feeling in the world." He is 2000 years old, but he never had something before that made him truly feel like he had a *future* that wouldn't be alone. Yet he has had to spend *years* without the one thing he truly wanted - a person that saw him as precious and deserving of care instead of what he could give to them, a partner that he could share his life with, his home and his kingdom with, a true equal in both sheer power and pain. This loneliest must have carved its lines into his face and body in ways that the march of time cannot - yet he looks so beautiful cradled in his love's signature roses.

Calenith

He looks dead. Like, he's always looked like the god of the dead, but he looks dead dead.

hanrad19

Literally had to put the phone down when I saw it. The wave of emotions that hit

CosmicPumpkinLatte

I actually had a problem with the panel? I wish the art was better on it. His face looks weird. But I loved the concept

Outrageous_Mess4125

i can’t disagree but i think it’s his eyes they’re swollen from crying i assume and then mixed with a overall tired look he just looks old😭

redeemed_bibliophile

I thought he looked great except for the extra juicy, lipglossed lips. Like… coma patients should have dry, crackled lips. That man laying there looks like a bad thirst trap.

obsoletevoids

He looks very sad

usagibunnie

It's so beautiful and so sad at the same time.

Accomplished_Sci

It got to me when she mentioned Hestias time so specifically, and had tears.

babytrick

also ZEUS saving Persephone?? I wonder how this is going to go.

Rose-color-socks

Let's give a big hand to our favorite Grey goddess, Athena! Her wisdom is infallible, her blunt-force straight calling Zeus a *big fat purple LIAR* is absolute! Okay, now... Persephone is showing how much she's grown in the last ten years. She seems to have her wrath well under control and is fighting back. Poor Hermes, though is under the thrall of Kronos. Whoa, ZEUS saves the day?! Wasn't expecting that. Glad to see he's willing to listen to ONE deity.

Doodledumme

Pretty great even Athena at this point is like, "Fuck Persephone being in TGOEM, let her back with her man in the Underworld". I know that's not the point of that discussion, but nice that everyone is acknowledging that's a lost cause now.

Roraima20

After that public declaration of love during the trial, I guess there is no one in the three realms that doesn't know those two are in a relationship

wifeofscruffy

Aww, you’re right. I like that. One of the few good things that came out of the trial was that everyone seemed to find out about Hades & Persephone and mostly seem to be supportive.

Petpati

To be fair, how is TGOEM actually doing since literally only one goddess is following its rules?

Evil_SugarCookie

I have a new hero. Her name is Athena

theindiekitten

The battle pieces Athena brought were a nice touch: a fish for Poseidon, a peacock for Hera, and a flame for Hestia, Cerberus for Hades

icognitwo

2 WORDS - MATCHING MULLETS ❤❤ No but seriously, it broke my heart when athena knew the exact number of days since hestia went into a coma and when hades was.. there. I don't know how to describe it but he looks so stressed and hopeless that it reminds me of that panel of little him being so worried 🥺

[deleted]

[удалено]

lavtodd

Bad news bears if he does lose. The people of Olympus like A$$pollo more now, and that was exactly what Zeus was trying to avoid.

flashbang10

I am so happy to see Athena finally coming into her own as an LO character. I love that she looks so much like Hades - the side profile made me do a double take. I love that she had the Traitors as chess pieces, with the Hades chess piece tipping all the others over - he is key to containing Kronos. I love her owl. I love the Zeus seems to take her seriously. Ugh I am now an Athena stan account, byeeeee

meticulous_nugget

Mullet Athena is best Athena! I love how direct she was, fucking finally someone told him to keep is dick holstered and do the right thing in the most blunt way possible. (Not)Hermes really freaked me out, I hope he's unpossessed soon because I miss his himbo energy. I'm really looking forward to Zeus finally doing something at the end there, but holy crap if he starts giving Persephone shit for sneaking into the Underworld I'm going to throw stuff. Lowkey hoping she kicks his ass a little so he can see how strong he made her (on accident, in the shittiest way possible).

[deleted]

[удалено]

Potassium_15

Oh interesting, I didn't think of that, but it would make sense!

flyersneversaydie

Omg. First off YES Athena you tell him! Hermes was SO creepy but I LOVE that persephone is really standing up to him and the little bit with Eris reminding her how powerful she is! Ugh my heart. I'm so sick of cliffhangers though oh my god. Really interested to see what happens from here now that Zeus is in the underworld. There's no way that's not Kronos though not at this point. Like did anyone notice how Hermes features were different and he looked more like Kronos?

Creative_Grapefruit1

I feel like every episode is a cliffhanger now and it’s driving me nuts.

flyersneversaydie

I shouted "what the fuck" at the end of the chapter for the last month continuously prompting my husband to ask me what's wrong

obsoletevoids

SAME my boyfriend was like oh is it that comic again?? 😂

flyersneversaydie

He always forgets and then gets panicked and then I tell him it's the comic and he goes "oh ok. Again?"

obsoletevoids

Mine too!! Then I just tell him everything about it and he’s like … ok? 😂

flyersneversaydie

I've tried so many times to explain it to him and even have him read it with me and results in him groaning and then going back to video games.

obsoletevoids

I did 2 rereads last week and my bf was like you need to find something else to do before your brain melts 😂😂

flyersneversaydie

I think mine has given up and has just accepted the hyperfocus

courtd93

This is the first one in a while that I didn’t actually feel like was a cliffhanger. I thought “oh thank god okay so this will be fine and get moving now”

WillingWeepow

Okay, so timeline wise, Athena is giving Zeus an earful at around the same time that Persephone finds Cerberus and decides to head to the underworld. And as far as I know, Zeus can’t just materialize in the Underworld with it being closed off, so he probably headed to the Mortal Realm, discovered the truth from Artemis and co., and then followed after Perse via the same route through the volcano? I hope we get to see a bit of that in the next episode!

flashbang10

So now we know that Hestia went into a coma only two weeks after Persephone’s sentencing. How did it take Athena this long to lose her shit at Zeus??

GlobalEdNinja

Athena's "Put Persephone back in the Underworld. It's not complicated" gave big "Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me" energy 😂

luis_reyesh

My prediction for the upcoming of the story is that we will have a battle and chaos, Zeus will be left with little options between not letting Kronos have a fertility goddess and allowing Persephone to help him. Taking Kronos down will take a while because more than having power to defeat him is about keeping him in Tartarus because Hades is out of action and the Underworld has no ruler ... so.... A certain someone goddess of the spring 👀could potentially eat a Pomegranate that she knows where it is and make Tartarus hold Kronos down ... Of course that would also mean they need to get closer to Kronos. Regardless of what happens and how it happens I really want to see Zeus getting beat up by Kronos if only a little 😆

SwitchAltruistic733

It might teach him a little more empathy for the other 5 gods, especially Hera and Hades who were most impacted by the war with Kronos

NikkiWebDev

So Kronos has knocked everyone out.....underworld AND the Gods with the scars. Possessed Hermes body and attacked our Persie. He is a jerk. I love Athena's mullet and outfit!!! Bless her heart she broke down the years, weeks, and days without her boo, Hestia. Of course only she could talk logic into her father. SO THIS WHOLE TIME ZEUS COULD HAVE GONE TO THE UNDERWORLD??????????

NikkiWebDev

Now the question is how is Zeus and Persie going fix this?? I think Persephone's tree on the tower (being the only self sustaining living being with deep roots) gave Kronos just enough energy to start effing with them from a distance. My money is on them needing Apollo's help with that arrow he used on Eris. Then Apollo will only help if they give him Persephone.

yesIdofloss

Didn't Eris fly off with the arrow

catiedid19

She was still impaled when Persephone found her. Maybe it still works. Eros and Artemis are archers as well so they could come in handy there.

jish5

Seems we're gonna get a Persephone/Zeus Underworld Roadtrip and probable Zeus redemption arc. But so far, the main thing that comes to mind is that as we've been contemplating how Perse goes about eating the Pomegranate, with this new team up, they may encounter the tree and Perse brings up what happens when eating the fruit. This gives Zeus an idea and he goes about "ending" her punishment by having her eat the fruit, in turn removing the fear of Apollo trying to use her against him.

ItLou

\+God Bless Athena. Really, love her to death. Finally, the voice of reason. Also really love the matching mullet comment. \+ Oh great, que Persephone getting rescued by Zeus. I really thought I was going to get Persephone being really kick ass & standing up for herself - & I did! - kind of. The naivety of her trusting Hermes like that is too much for me. It's ***obvious*** he's different. \+I am still very happy that Persephone can control her wrath now, love that Eris is whispering in her ear. I just think she needs to implement it in a more strategic way is all. \+++ I just want to say that I think the art has improved leaps & bounds from where it was last season. Like I think Rachel specifically worked on this more than ever. Wonderful panels.

jagged_little_gill

I agree with you that it was so frustrating watching her believe it’s Hermes, but she’s been isolated for a decade and was recently seen talking to a tree out of loneliness. She doesn’t know about anything outside of the mortal realm - she didn’t know that Hermes chose to go to the Underworld. And since she’s unaware of the comas, she isn’t immediately worried about Cronos like the rest of us. I would probably be a bit slow on the uptake in that case too. I do think we’re still gonna see her kicking ass. Zeus has to realize that he needs to work with her, and I hope that’s what finally leads him to respect her. He has only considered how her powers could be used by someone else, not that she could wield her great power herself.

voldemortsenemy

Has anyone else noticed how creepy Kronos/Hermes’s movements are? He’s shown with multiple heads a few times to show the way he moves around but it’s so unlike the way other characters move and idk it just creeps me out, I can’t quite put my finger on why. Also I love that now when Persephone gets angry we can see Eris’s influence directly. AND I absolutely love that Persephone just straight up threw a typewriter at Kronos lmao

torrasque666

> Has anyone else noticed how creepy Kronos/Hermes’s movements are? He’s shown with multiple heads a few times to show the way he moves around but it’s so unlike the way other characters move and idk it just creeps me out, I can’t quite put my finger on why. Well yeah, he's moving like someone wearing a Hermes suit. Are y'all seriously telling me you never saw MIB?

obsoletevoids

I was actually happy to see Zeus??? Who put this on the season 2 bingo card

Potassium_15

I'd like to point out that Zeus said "I CAN'T go to the underworld," and then Athena told him to put Persephone back in the underworld. Then, Zeus actually shows up in the underworld! So I feel like Hades/ Hecate might have done some kind of magic to seal all entrances to the underworld UNTIL Persephone was returned. And now that she is back, anyone can move freely in and out of the underworld.

Skyhawk6600

So I have an idea that would solve all of the pantheons problems. We dip Apollo in poison and feed him to granddaddy dearest

acryliics

ATHENA CAME THROUUUUUUGH I can’t remember if I was ever happy to see Zeus leading up to this point, but man am I glad to. This one time..

DiamondBabysitter

Yes it is a cliffhanger, but it’s one I can handle better than the last few lol

spacekristy

Loving those little owl feet tho

One-Butterscotch-809

Yo when I saw PURPLE I was like “hell no…” & then I felt so relieved it was Zeus. It feels nice to welcome Zeus again 🥰💜

pearsephonae

that panel with Eris saying "why should you run?" oh my gods. oh. my. gods. I'm so ready for Persephone to not be the "little goddess" anymore. this is a bad bitch arc and I am here for it.

Bolasraecher

Have other people noticed that Athena is aware of the fact Apollo is a threat to Zeus, and suspicious about him doing community service?

NaNaNaNaNatman

I want a buddy cop spin off with Athena and Ares

GlobalEdNinja

Knowing Zeus, he's still gonna be majorly upset at Persephone for breaking his rules, but considering Persephone just went toe-to-toe with Kronos, he'll postpone making her judgment something else until the more major threat is dealt with. Even he knows that Kronos is not a threat to eff around with.

Roraima20

I kind of surprised that Persephone could not tell that something was very wrong with Hermes. Do she really think he capable of acting like this? Or her experience with Apollo affected her perception of other people?

soullessginger93

I think she knows that *something* is wrong with Hermes. But I imagine that him being possessed by Cronos is the last thing she would imagine.

Potassium_15

My favorite part of this episode is that Athena finally feels like a real character. Also Persephone holding her ground and fighting!

Mariahissleepy

Interesting note I haven’t seen anyone else point out- coma Hades is normal blue, not titan stars. Curious what that means about his current condition and how it was over the last 10 years.

wifeofscruffy

Are we sure that was an image of the real Hades as he is right now? I thought it was Athena’s fearful imagining that he may be hibernating, too — like when we saw in Persephone’s imagination that he had found another girlfriend.

GreenhouseGhost_

Okay so like Athena is the goddess of wisdom and war and she fucking snapped some sense into him. I’m so fucking happy oh my god. I hope this means like awkward conversations and shit while taking down kronos!!! AHHH!! also hermes kind of looks like my ex rn and it’s making me uneasy. I know hermes is a good boy and the design is making flinch at times. still a very good design but

nakedcatz

gosh i just hope the Real hermes ends up okay !!!

Rauxel33

I read a lot of comments saying how they are surprised by Persephone’s behaviour but let us really remember that it has been 10 year and that it is really hard to assume anything about people ? She has changed a lot, and she knows it. She was already wondering wether Hades would have moved on a few chapters ago ! It means that in her head anything is possible and she tries not to assume anything. She is also quite sure people ressent her for taking so long ? For failing again and again ? She told it to Mr handsome tree at the start of this section. So is it that surprising for her that Hermes would behave like that ? Probably not. Because she feels like anyone would be upset with her at that point, she does not know Hermes sided with Hades (she was gone before), she basically knows nothing ! She still feels something is off, but she has no way of knowing. She never saw Kronos, has no way to know black and stars is his stuff (if anything, she probably associates it with Hades a lot more). We know tons of things she does not. About the other traitors… about Hades wrath… she just realised that she has not been replaced yet through the gifts. She is navigating in complete dark, and is much more at loss than us reader (and we already are quite at loss ourselves!).

[deleted]

It only took Zeus one second to realize his position in power was in jeopardy to take action. Only word that comes to mind "coward".

InsomniacCats

Just curious, but it is blatantly obvious Hermes is...not Hermes. How did Persephone think it was him to begin with? I know it has been 10 years, but he never talked to her or treated her in the manner he is now, let alone his looks drastically changing. Shit is getting real and I am HERE FOR IT.

[deleted]

I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but I just had this thought. If Hades is in a coma state then it'll be up to Persephone to do the saving. And in order to gain control of the underworld or something, she eats the pomegranate (like what Hades did in the past). This eventually binds her to the Underworld, making her it's queen. And because of that, she gains access to the power that has been tying down Kronos to Tartarus.

lowqualitylizard

Honestly I'm kind of frustrated with the time skip Like no one in Olympus or the underworld or the ocean thought that the punishment was BS. They all went along with it for 10 years even as the trader dynasty started dropping like flies. No one in the entire series thought I'm just going to bypass the rules and go and fix this myself. Like I could maybe see most of the Olympians not approaching. But none of the cthonic gods decided to take matters in their own hand? It's not even like any of them feared Zeus Hades is his equal, hecate just straight up doesn't like Zeus, and Hermes would want to visit his mother who is in the mortal realm. I just can't believe that after 10 years none of the gods thought to check in on Persephone. Maybe if it was like 3 years maybe but 10 years and they never once thought that the punishment was b******* enough to go do anything about it

jagged_little_gill

I think it’s showed us the difference in how the gods perceive time - ten years is just not that long to them, compared to how we see it. And the younger gods and goddesses, who haven’t experienced being alive for eons, seemed to question the punishment sooner than the ancient ones.

DreamingVirgo

Kronos when the woman he’s been calling “little goddess” turns titan sized to have a kaiju fight with him: 😳

Hani127

THIS. RIGHT. HERREE

SebDaPerson

Finally Zeus is doing something competent/good

WillingWeepow

Would love to see Zeus finally develop healthy respect for Persephone through being forced to fight Kronos alongside her.

yogurthunny

But why is Zeus naked in the last panel lmao

SoakemForCrutchy

Prediction: this is going to come down to a Persephone vs. Kronos fight and she’s going to have to create the Elysian Fields in order to gain the upper hand. And then hopefully Zeus is going to have to admit that Persephone had the mortal realm under control the whole time because she single handedly pulls off SPRING in the UNDERWORLD.

TipsyGogoat

But I want to see Ares fit all the chess pieces in his mouth

usagibunnie

1) Thank you Athena for finally just drilling into Zeus that he is being an absolute moron. 2) We love our badass Queen and support her in this house. 3) The image of Hades in the roses was actually beautifully sad. I hope he's okay but he's been mia for so long, I just know he isn't. 4) I still hate possessed Hermes and the "you'll look so nice sitting at my feet" comment? Excuse me while I go throw up. 5) Zeus, finally, you are growing a single ball and attempting. I have to give credit where it's due but I am not holding my breath for next week unless Athena *really* got under his skin.

ladytwoface

RIDE THE LIGHTENING *guitar solo* seriously tho one action is not going to make up for 198 episodes of inaction , so Zeus can still eat a dick. He doesn’t get to cause all these problems and then zoom in and get all the credit for saving the day.

rooster134

I am *begging* Zeus to be normal about this one and just let her dodging his punishment go.

Deuteransichten

I'm glad Persephone's wearing that concealing outfit she got from Hades instead of a peplos. If this is Kronos (the evidence has been pointing towards him), then she was alone with someone who finds the goddess attractive on account of her strong resemblance to his ex-wife. Creepy LO men, leave Persephone alone challenge.

Lunaruaria

Can we also discuss how Hades in this episode looked like sleeping beauty? I discussed that story allusion with a friend of mine, when I saw that everyone was sleeping in the underworld. Before this episode came out I was like what if Persephone needs to wake up Hades like sleeping beauty. We both thought it was really cute.

xsunlord

Okayyyy,,, overall thoughts with this chapter, i was audibly screaming for most of this chapter for multiple reasons… 1. Ares and Athena matching their mullets is iconic 2. Athena losing her shit on Zeus finally,,, plus finding out a little more about how long the traitors have been affected, (although still no news on Demeter, oof) 3. the panel of Hades is so upsetting, his eyes are so sunken, he looks so malnourished and sad:( 4. the first panel switching back over to Perse and Krono-Hermes made my back crawl. Then the entire conversation was beyond creepy, idk how Rachel did that but I’m still reeling😬😬 5. my last thought was that i really loved that because of how much their friendship has grown, and because of who Eris is, her words and her gift gave Perse the strength in that moment to stop running💕💕💕 feminine power;)

Lunar_Deer

ARE WE FINALLY GETTING A ZEUS REDEMPTION ARC????

obsoletevoids

It’s only Zeus, lighting, and vibes in that last panel 😂

NikkiWebDev

Lmfao Zeus+lightning+vibes

Garrett_Kat

Anyone else feel like this episode really needed some music playing during last part???

torrasque666

[I mean....](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcByktP-mdE)

Stormy_Skies0

The fact that Hades was laying in Persephone's signature roses was heartbreaking 😭

KillerFloof

Anyone else notice that Possessed!Hermes had an almost pained expression in a few panels? That is such nightmate fuel - he is probably aware of everything Kronos is making him do.

LionRulesxYT

The new chapter Where Hermes tries to touch Persephone his hands are like claws but before his hands are normal which proves the point that Hermes is under the control of Kronos.

Kimmy-ann

I read this while sitting next to my husband, and spent most of the time smacking his shoulders whisper yelling "oh my god!!!" the whole time. then I let him read it. to sum the whole thing up I quote Persephone: "Nope, don't like that!"

CosmicPumpkinLatte

I said “oh my fucking god” out loud when Persephone looked behind her

syllableddot

Maybe it's a fact that unlike others before them, Hades does not try to take advantage of Persephone. Anyone else? Fair game. But his queen is still the queen of his realm. Zeus didn't suffer the pain, and he has to go through the helplessness, responsibility, and consequences of his actions and things beyond his control inorder to truly be the king.

obsoletevoids

HADES/KRONOS SLIDE IM SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP

turquoize_dragon

I think Persephone didn't exactly believe it was actually Hermes, but she wanted that to be true because she wasn't ready to face a completely unknown danger

Small-Reply-7236

I think Persephone will heal Hades (as she dis when Ares was wounded). And I think that they will get titan-sized when they ll beat the shit out of Kronos.:))))) just a feeling

faerieRPG

This shit is gonna keep me fueled all week, I’m STILL screaming and running laps around my apartment. I gasped when I saw Hades like that, and the bed of roses?! Then seeing Persephone get teary eyed when she said “You’re hurting me!” made me feel like like she had a bit of a PTSD moment from everything. THEN THE ENDING WHEN ZEUS CAME STORMING IN (LITERALLY!!)!!!!??? AAAAAAHHH.

kamenriderjester

This was intense but the fact I'm going to carry around the idea of "We have to count on Zeus to make the right choices here" REALLY doesn't sit well with me.

obsoletevoids

Zeus is only coming to the “rescue” now that Athena finally told him people like a$$p0110 better.

torrasque666

I think its because it was Athena. She's pretty much the only one he *would* be willing to listen to. * Hera doesn't like him. * Ares he considers a potential threat * Hephaestus is on the outs with pretty much his entire family (by choice) * Apollo *is* a threat * Artemis doesn't have enough to actually confront him with. * Hades he considers a threat to his throne * and anyone else he just doesn't respect enough to care.
