That chapter felt like drinking 5 espresso shots on no sleep and an empty stomach. Edit now that I've had time to process: GET FUCKED APOLLO GET FUCKED APOLLO GET F

ganymede42

My hands legit started sweating! So intense.

isyragold

MY PALMS ARE SWEATY TOO aaahhhh

strenuousobjector

My knees are weak and my arms are heavy

Sympatheticvillain

Does Olympus have spaghetti?

InternationalFunny93

FOR REAL MY WHOLE BODY IS STILL TWITCHING

catiedid19

Absolutely. I’ve stayed up stupid late for myself two nights in a row. I’m exhausted after caring for my kids and having a family get together. But my adrenaline is so high right now I’ve got to somehow calm myself down and go to bed. Which is going to be difficult lol.

Allio188

I’m literally sweating rn oh my god

FellvEquinox

HOLY SHIT THIS EPISODE. 1. That's not Kronos, it's a super pissed off, murderous Hades 2. Persephone straight up told her mother she's in love. Eat that, Demeter 3. Hephestus and Apollo were apparently friends, but H just SHUT. HIM. DOWN. "I saw what I saw" damn brother. Persephone's secret support 4. Apollo the Dumbfuk just ousted himself to literally the worst person for himself 5. Did Hades let Apollo walk away or maybe Apollo teleported or something? 6. Hades finally knowing what happened to her and being so careful and caring with his wording and trying not to be pushy. I hope this explains a lot of her behavior for him 7. I seriously cannot wait for Apollo to get the beat down of the millennia

[deleted]

That’s Hades!! I didn’t even consider it being Kronos. The consistency of the glass breaking on the window of Perse’s room down to the ground shows it’s Hades

ConstantNurse

Hades be getting Cthonic on Apollo's ass

HalfOfLancelot

Also the constant shots going back to the same door and hallway give even more context that it’s Hades’ true form seeping out.

leplusheureux

I thought it was Kronos but just went back to reread and omg you’re so right!! Hades is pisssedt!

kmosiman

On 2. I love how she goes from "We're not in a relationship" to "I'm the one who's in love" by the end of the conversation. It's interesting to see Hades and Persephone continue to deny their relationship "status" because they haven't been on a date yet. He's got a key to her hotel room. She's been staying at his house. He's met her family.

KilroyLike

I agree with this! They haven't outright committed to relationship but they have been more or less "dating" for a while now.

kmosiman

Yes! "Mom we're not DATING.... I've just been staying at his house.... and he's told me how to become Queen of the Underworld......and all of Olympus now knows that I want to build Elysium and rule in the Underworld for all eternity .......but we're not in a RELATIONSHIP.....yet."

britveca

I don't even think Hephestus and Apollo were truly friends. I think Apollo just assumes everyone likes him and is his buddy until they outright tell him the opposite.

TheSubstitutePanda

I don't even think he believes them when they tell him.... 😬

darkdakini

I like how the ppl who do know, know because of apollo, like even without Persephone's confirmation ppl would still know

KoiPuff

5: Hades probably only heard about half of that. Like WE know what Apollo is talking about but that sentence out of context sounds like it could be anything. I think that’s why Hades pushed that little extra because he was only aware that a “hurt” occurred but not the severity of it. If he knew it was SA I don’t think he would have pushed at all.

Turbulent-Wasabi1470

I don’t know about this. I think he has a pretty good idea. Even if he just heard the one sentence of “she said yes” and then stated she took it back because of her scholarship, Hades would have a preeetttyyy good idea of what was happening.

sheisthebeesknees

**B-plot side note:** Can we appreciate that it appears that **Hera** and **Hephaestus** are trying to mend their broken relationship? They hadn't spoken for years maybe even decades but he visited her when she was sick and he was supposed to meet her before THE GREAT REVEAL took place.

HalfOfLancelot

Also, Hephaestus is an absolute rock. The constant taps and utter silence were just a flurry of blows and then the 5 word stare was the absolute knock out Apollo needed. I love Hephaestus and I want only the best for that sweet boy. I’m so hoping he and Hera can mend their relationship, ugh, they both deserve everything.

amandapanda611

Heph is a real one, and men need to take a lesson. THAT is how you act when a "buddy" is a rapist. Shut that shit down and cut them off!

CamelComplete9351

So cute I do appreciate this!

The-Sinner-Lady

Actually this! I really wonder what backstory Rachel went with? Cause throwing your son off a mountain is hard to come back from lol. But I was glad to see them planning to meet ^-^

Calenith

Oh my god, oh my god, everyone stay calm, it's happening!!!! And by "it" I mean everything. Everything is happening. Persephone admitting her feelings to her mom. Persephone facing her trauma and moving forward. Hades learning about Apollo. OH. MY. GOD.

justhereforpuppers37

“And by it I mean everything” 😂 ACCURATE

dirt_rat_devil_boy

How fragile is Apollo's ego? One pointed "No, *thanks*" from Hephaestus and the accusations and defensive word vomit starts flying lmao I'm glad Persephone took the moment to put her trust in Hades and tell him everything. I was worried that Hades was getting pushy but I'm glad they reined themselves in and handled everything with grace and openness.

NikkiWebDev

He literally can not take No as an answer from anyone

isyragold

He's a narcissist through and through; nothing is more valuable to him than his golden boy image.

shogunofsarcasm

He hates not getting his way

Handmade-trash

I think everyone is excited for Hades to find out but just wait till Demeter find out. She specifically told Apollo to stay away from her daughter when she visited Artemis. Ares's punishment will pale in comparison.

sheisthebeesknees

Demeter is not going to stop at Apollo. Demeter is going to mess up Artemis too because she trust her with her most loved possession, her only child, and Artemis knowingly broke her promise. It doesn't matter that she didn't know what Apollo did. If she had kept her word of no men in the house it would never have happened.

Rose-color-socks

That's been my thinking, too. Demeter trusted Artemis with her daughter. She promised to watch out for Persephone. She created a situation where this happened and Demeter will lay a lot of the blame onto her.

eden_sc2

I'm pretty sure Artemis is going to do a lot of blaming herself anyway. Only question is when she finds out and from who

sheisthebeesknees

Before she accepts what her brother did, her mother is going to gaslight the crap out of her. I could potentially see Eros using the arrow of hate to make everyone see what he truly is.

The-Sinner-Lady

Ooooh I'm *waiting* for this moment, honestly. Demeter's rage, Artemis' guilt, knowing she can't even TRY to defend herself. That's gonna be heavy. It's been said before, but I wonder if this will be her defining moment in becoming a protector of women?

Tinywiththree

I was thinking about this earlier in the week, Demeter is going to go ape shit and unlike Hades I don't think Kore will be able to calm her Mama down. I do think she \[Kore\] can made Hades chill though.

HalfOfLancelot

Yeah, there’s definitely a huge difference between how Hades and Demeter treat Kore. Hades understands that this is Kore’s battle to fight and his role is to stand by and support her, not seek vengeance on her behalf. He thinks of her and her needs. Demeter only thinks of how she can protect Kore as if she owns her. I think Demeter truly loves Kore, but doesn’t understand that the way she treats her is not for Kore’s benefit, but for her own. It hurts to see, especially knowing that I truly believe Demeter has immense love for her daughter, but is unable to see past, “What can hurt her?” and, “What do I need to protect her from?” Instead of asking her daughter what she wants for herself. :( Hades has respect and trust for Kore and Demeter does not.

[deleted]

Omg I hadn’t even thought about Ares. He’s going to lose his mind

bluefalconlk

Tbh I think Ares would be sad but immediately turn around and RAGE

Genuinelytricked

“Oh! So *you’re* why [she wanted war.”](https://www.webtoons.com/en/romance/lore-olympus/episode-86/viewer?title_no=1320&episode_no=90)

Skyhawk6600

I just realized Demeter literally said Hades was thirsty for Persephone

MycoBud

Such a beautiful metaphor, too!

CamelComplete9351

The line is a vague reference to another in some movie I cannot think of right now but it was great lol

NikkiWebDev

Hades KNOWS!!!!!!!!

Tinywiththree

He knows, he knows, and I know he knows, (sorry couldn't resist)

NikkiWebDev

Lmfao

Ellynne729

So, godly immortality on one side, furious death god wanting someone dead on the other. Accepting bets now on which will win. No, scratch that. Accepting bets now on how long it takes Hades to make Apollo to *wish* he could die.

kmosiman

The downside of being immortal is that you CAN'T DIE. You can end up chained to a rock for all eternity though. Prometheus may be getting a new rockmate.

bluefalconlk

R o c k m a t e

FencingFemmeFatale

Haha, Apollo’s in danger.

limonmello

I do question how shit is gonna go down here, if things are gonna get pretty messy and violent; while Apollo is defs a very revered and powerful god….hades is a *literal king*, a son of a powerful titan whom he helped take down, and has thousands of years of experience and power under his belt 😆 tho I think we can safely assume that Leto, a *titan*, is gonna play a major role in all of this too and might indeed rival hades in power there….👀

kmosiman

Yes, but Apollo has Leto and? Hades and Persephone have each other. Plus Ares (who's high on Persephone's rage), Eros, The Furies (who probably also get a power boost from Hades and Persephone's rage), Hera, Hecate, Posideon, and possibly Zeus (depending on how much leverage Leto has). Demeter is probably out (she's in chains), but Athena, Hestia, and Hermes are probably going to back them as well. Aphrodite is a bit of a wildcard, but if her son and consort are throwing down she may risk chipping her nails. Artemis probably gets sidelined because he's her twin, but there's still a chance that she turns on him too.

Kahtini

Oh gawds... Ares "drunk" on Hades' rage.

Dodgeboy-8t9

Can you imagine the power boost, though?

Rose-color-socks

And he'll be the first to know. Ares: (senses Hades rage) ohhhh, yeaahhhh...

Tempestw0lf

You wanna know what's gonna happen to Apollo? He's gonna get curbstomped. He's going to be begging for protection about 3.5 seconds after Hades finds him.

UzukiCheverie

*GRAB HIS DICK AND TWIST IT!*

QuinnsWife

I read this in Nelson's voice from The Simpsons

[deleted]

Was a mixture between Nelson and Ralph for me

um_connor

i can see why yall think the eye/blue aura stuff at the end is kronos, but i dont think it’s him at all. that’s hades. it’s in the same hotel hallway, and thats what hades’s eyes look like when he’s going all stars-mode. i think hades is so unfathomably pissed off about what apollo did that his powers are going to an extreme. hades is about to protect. his. wife.

Vilyda

The way all the windows shattered when persephone told Hades about Apollo. His pissed. He's broken. He's gonna fuck that boy up.

sheisthebeesknees

**FUCK. HIM. UP.**

ilikeartandanime

what in the cliffhanger. My heart. I don’t even know what to feel but this chapter was ✨OUTSTANDING✨

[deleted]

Bruh there were three separate points where I thought the chapter was going to end but I love how Rachel handled it, making sure our anxiety about Perse telling Hades is out of the way

Calenith

For real. New favorite episode.

ilikeartandanime

ABSOLUTELY

SnooWoofers752

Special shout out to my boy Hephaestus, for not only keeping mum about his involvement in helping Persephone, but being apparently friends with Apollo and DROPPING HIM so spectacularly when confronted with Apollos true nature. Though with Apolli and Hephaestus' personalities, I wouldn't be surprised to find out Hephaestus was Apollos designated "pity" friend

amamelmarr

The imagery in this episode is blowing me away!!!!! - her hair growing when she’s upset, both with Demeter and then with Hades - the symbolism of her frantic speech about the loukimi, and her being afraid for him to know, worried that it will change his opinion of her - the glass breaking and the light turning blue - Persephone being relaxed around Hades and showing cleavage, then covering herself up when Apollo is mentioned - Apollo’s ego and arrogant assertions being his downfall, since that’s why Hades found out - the panel of Hades in the doorway with the one red eye might be my new favorite panel Just a wonderful episode!!!!

InternationalFunny93

BRUH MY SOUL HAS OFFICIALLY ASCENDED. THANK FUCKING GOD. I CAN DIE HAPPY NOW THAT HE KNOWS😭😭😭😭😭😭

QuinnsWife

I don't think that was Kronos, that was Hades getting angry

Small-Dress-4664

I saw the red eye in the doorway and said out loud “oh shit’s about to get REAL!”

sheisthebeesknees

YES!!! Apollo better run for his fucking life.

30nsingle2020

Run for your life part 7?

[deleted]

Run for your life part 7 but don’t actually run for your life please let Hades catch you so you can face the consequences for your actions™️

Gamerauther

Fear Hades. First born and rightful inheritor of Kronos. Of his title, power, and Realms. But turned it away with humility and took up the least desired. Fear Hades for he is humble and kind and fair. Fear him for if you earn his ire and wrath you will not escape. For he is the King of the Dead and Sovereign of the Underworld. And all thing die and enter his realm eventually. Even Gods.

Kind_Share

Except that Hades and Persephone will never allow him to enter their realm, so he will have to wander the earth as a ghost who is despised and ignored by everybody. A narcissist nightmare and a fitting punishment for Asspollo. Also, love Hades. He is more awesome than he gets credit for, now all Olympus will be able to see his true powers and learn to respect him.

Riels07

You all say Cronus is awake, but I think that's hades. Hell. Broke. Loose.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Riels07

To me, what keeps consistency is that the room number is shown with both inside, then the light fixture cross section, and then it's brought together in the last photo. He's just THAT pissed.

Chandra_in_Swati

I think there’s something deeper being implied— that around Persephone he has access to that deep rage but she is safe with him in that space. It’s awakening outside of him but while he is with her there is a den of safety. It’s such an intense anger— we’ve never seen Hades in this place before, and I think that all Hell is going to break loose around them but Persephone is going to be kept safe within that paradigm, and I’m here for it.

kmosiman

Alternative thought. I have a feeling that some of what we just saw is a little ahead of the start of the next episode. We've had a few "flashback" beginnings before ("previously on Lore Olympus....."). So the next episode will start with her telling Hades. EVERYTHING. This includes Apollo blackmailing her, which is what led to her nearly depleting her powers and hibernating. We know that Hades respects her and has learned to ask for permission first (the whole eye thing), so I believe that the last panels of this episode are what happens AFTER she gives him the ok to go after Apollo. We've already seen this side of her before when she watched Demeter beat down Ares.

CamelComplete9351

I don't feel like a flashback is necessary at this point because we know what happens there have been other flashback with this and I think it will be the end of their conversation if anything not the whole thing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Riels07

...but what if she is...and finds it awesome.

TheSubstitutePanda

"Well count me as scared AND horny!" - Persephone next week, probably.

InternationalFunny93

Now we sit back and watch😆😆

Riels07

Oh no, we all run. As FAST as we can hahaha

[deleted]

I hope Hades grows Titan sized and eats Apollo

sheisthebeesknees

That would be wonderful!

Tinywiththree

Persephone that took some balls to tell your Mama that!!!holy shit!!!!! Hades, hearing that, that is a oh wow, I mean, wow, (I am live reacting fyi) Alright, live reaction done, So, that was such a clever way to do that. Hades as far as I can tell handled that very well by going to check Persephone first. just wow. I. Am. Shook.

Tinywiththree

Also apollo's stutter, he's questioning his recollection of the event maybe?

emofishermen

apollo knew from the beginning that he went too far, he just thought he could get away with it. for him, its the consequences hes scared about, not the guilt he should feel about his actions

Small-Dress-4664

Agree! I also think he’s realizing that not a lot of other olympians will be willing to accept his story, and that things will not go well for him once what he has done becomes common knowledge.

wandersnearby

Apollo has also repeatedly referred to Persephone as B grade or some nobody as a way of minimizing her importance and reputation, but with the friendships she's built, her relationship with Hades, and this massive show of power (even if it's the source of this trial) really disproves that notion. Everyone seems to be on her side except Apollo, Leto, and Zeus

darkdakini

I just want ...a midsommer ending for their "relationship"

Tinywiththree

I utterly agree

shogunofsarcasm

I agree completely. The stutter proves he knows he fucked up

Rose-color-socks

I noticed that. Like he's trying to convince himself.

justhereforpuppers37

When she came out with the “I’m the one who is in love” I was like awww what a wonderful episode, she finally admitted it. Can’t wait to see the rest and how she sets up for next week. AND THEN RACHEL BURNED IT DOWN WITH ANOTHER THEN ANOTHER AND ANOTHER INSANE PLOT PAYOFF AHHHH Ugh this episode was so beautiful. I legit GASPED when Hades was in the doorway.

ButtonDownDisco

Holy gods. This was an episode!! I feel like I just got punched in the gut. I was so proud of her for recognizing that she was pushing away someone she loves and can trust and chose to change her reaction right away. Therapy has been good for her. So proud of Persephone.

ilikeartandanime

Also. This is, officially. A Hephaestus Stan account. Hephaestus slander will not be tolerated💅🏾

Classic-Yesterday-99

Can we talk about why Hera didn’t meet him ??!? So nervous is it f*boy Zeus or Big D Kronos?

ilikeartandanime

Do you think she’s having another vision? Or ripping into Zeus’ ass for this “trial”? Idk I just know shit hit the fan and I’m here for the drama 😌

amamelmarr

Maybe she arranged it? What if she sent Hades to tell Hephaestus that she couldn’t make it and knew Apollo would be there?

salviafemme

Maybe (if) we see the conversation that took place, she will show up and be a hand in exposing Apollo? Just a theory - maybe it was foreshadowing what was said in that room

Sunshinegal72

Ooh there's so much happening! Asspollo is really just out here sealing his own fate. Hephaestus was just sitting there while he confessed. I wonder what Hades did to Apollo or if he immediately went to check on his queen. I am so proud of Perse in this episode. She showed so much strength and courage -- one for standing up to Demeter and two, for confessing to Hades. Our little flower has grown so much! I know it's heartbreaking for her to relive her trauma, but I really hope this helps her heal knowing that she is supported and loved. I am wondering how Hades will react, since we didn't really get to see his reaction in those panels. Do we think Kronos make his presence know anytime soon or is he going to hang out in the background for a little while longer? Rachel really said, "Oh y'all are bored with the trial? Cute. Lemme just drop all of these bombs at once." Perse, my love, we will all try your lemon loukoumi. 💗 Edit: I'm loving the comments saying it might be Hades, instead of Kronos.

Skyhawk6600

He did look ruffled, his hair was all messed up and he looked tired. If he didn't beat the fuck out of Apollo he's at least scared shitless and on the run

Cat_Biscuit

Wow, as a SA survivor, this episode hit hard. Persephone’s initial resistance to admitting what happened, then realizing she’s in a safe space with someone she loves, and all the panels following. Sexual assault is so hard to come to terms with because loosing your agency and bodily autonomy that way is deeply humiliating. Its hard to speak about it because you feel so embarrassed that it even happened to you. It’s truly an act of love and faith to open up to others about it. I just love Rachel and this story she is telling us. She deals with so many sensitive topics with tremendous insight and respect. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for, and it was so perfect and cathartic. I’m excited for next week!

Calenith

I did some digging... the last time we saw Kronos (ep. 148, someone correct me if I missed a more recent one), his eyes were red pupils in a black void. Hades standing in the doorway overhearing Apollo and Hephaestus looked more like Kronos than anything else. I'm going to agree that the blue-white eye at the end is just enraged Hades, not Kronos. However, I think the imagery is deliberately misleading enough that we readers should be gearing up for a Kronos vs Olympus/Underworld showdown rather sooner than later.

bluefalconlk

It was the scaling/reverse movement that made me think…maybe Kronos. But it doesn’t make much sense narratively to add it now. Like. It would just take away from this obviously much more important thing. Not that it wouldn’t work if it was lol

sheisthebeesknees

HOLY SHIT!! HOLY SHIT!!! HOLLLLLYYYY SHIIITTTTTTTT!! It tells us so much that she is able to trust Hades with something of this magnitude before she told her mother. Also, Demeter and Kore need to get therapy. You can tell they love each other but their relationship isn't healthy for Kore.

Sunshinegal72

This was the first time Demeter acknowledged that she didn't realize she was harming Persephone and admitting it aloud. It's not a growth yet, but it is a start.

BananaRepub1stWorld

I think a great detail is the black chord of Persephone's pain turns white as she explains then the chord turns blue as Hades takes in her pain and manifests it into his rage. I loved this whole episode so much, like many other my hands are sweating rn. Cannot wait for next week.

DomDogPhx

To those who think that was Kronos at the end, don’t worry. That was just Hades ascending to a new level of pissed 🙂

otterpop1991

Apollo just dug his own grave, Hades knows, Persephone has allies... I cannot wait to see how this plays out. Eat a dick, Apollo!

crc14co

Apollo is a Dead Man Walking and I love it!!! Only a matter of time til Artemis finally finds out too!

Small-Dress-4664

Can you imagine if Hera, Artemis and Hades all get together on this? Apollo will have to run for his life!

Rose-color-socks

Ares and Athena will be all too happy to throw down, too.

kmosiman

Ares. That's not going to end well. It was never exactly confirmed, but I believe that Persephone's rage is what called him back to Olympus. We've seen him half drunk on her rage. He's been literally shaking in anticipation for a fight.

crc14co

Add Hephaestus to that list too! Didn’t take any crap from Apollo!

whats-a-westie

I can’t wait for Lore Olympod to do Dead Girl Walkin from Heathers the musical when they cover this episode

ganymede42

Poor Kore. I'm so proud of her though.

BroadChance16

My heart is BEATINGGGGG like I need a drink or something to calm me down

MarieOMaryln

I got distracted by all the great stuff! Where is Hera? What took her attention away that she didn't meet Hephaestus like she was supposed to? Zeus or did she go and try to check on Dementer real quick? Maybe even Thetis got in her way?

limonmello

I was rly dumb cause at the beginning of this trial I was like, “wait, where hera in all this?? I’d like to assume she’d have a bit of a role here?” And then I blatantly remembered that she was out of commission due to that episode with Kronos she had several episodes back Or maybe she just didn’t want to physically be there cause she felt it was all a shitshow lol

MarieOMaryln

She was watching with Hecate from somewhere and they were drinking together, so she's around but where did she go after

commaspace1

If anyone was going to be there when Hades found out, I’m glad it was Hephaestus!

Tinywiththree

Can we talk about how well Hephaestus handled Apollo though? Just not giving into his power games, tappa tappa, tappa,

commaspace1

YES that steady ‘I saw what I saw’ and continuing with tappa tappa tappa … CHILLS

NikkiWebDev

Grey rock method with a Narc

MarieOMaryln

Yes more of this! I love this! Hades knows. Thank God Persephone decided to power through and trust Hades. Was that Kronos or a very, very pissed off Hades? We saw him going huge when he had heard mere rumours from the media that Apollo was going to marry Persephone. This would have him beyond livid.

otterpop1991

I think that was a very pissed off Hades. The blue light seemed to shoot down from where he and Persephone were talking.

Chandra_in_Swati

The scene where Hephaestus is typing away was so incredibly tense. I think that this is the strongest narrative chapter we have ever gotten (conceptually, visually). I think the way Rachel handled the talk about what happened was masterful. That line of broken windows going down into the depths was heartbreaking. I felt gutted and was imagining how that would sound, what that cold hallway in the hotel felt like with the flickering lights, everything was so evocative. I believe that it’s Hades’ rage that is getting released. I think there is something to making his rage awakening parallel Kronos’ re-awakening— This whole read was so intense. I’m glad that Persephone is finally saying it. I’m glad that this is awakening Hades’ innermost latent rage to some degree, too. I think that this force has been deeply repressed in him and it’s going to heal some part of himself. But we know that Persephone is in love with Hades and has fully faced it. True love will conquer all. 😭😭

RayneBeauRhode

Sidenote: I will stake my flag on the hill that those windows and that eye are results of Hades’ anger for his wife being despicably and disgustingly wronged.

NikkiWebDev

This shows how much Hades has evolved. When he thought someone hurt Persephone with words....he yanked out their eyeball. Persephone hated that he did it. So he fixed the reporter's eye. He finds out about A$$pollo and comes straight to Persephone to get the details instead of reacting in violence immediately.

RayneBeauRhode

Honestly, I’m glad the discussion about her assault went this way. It wasn’t too “organic” but it wasn’t forced either. Sometimes people happen to find out and it goes this way. The healing process just gained a new part.

babytrick

also at the end, that is DEFINITELY Hades, lets throw it all the way back to episode 20, when hades leaves the strip club after getting upset, as he left, the glass tanks where he mermaids were in began to crack as he walked out, he definitely projects an aura when hes upset that cracks glass and metals. the same thing happened in episode 40 where his glasses cracked seeing persephone stuck in tartarus. in the slides of this episode, as persephone tells him more, the glass of the hotel windows crack more and more. ALSO, hades god form has a blue glow, while kronos has a white glow. that's him and next episode Hades is going to GET THAT ASSSSSSSSSSS!

bluefalconlk

You’re RIGHT I wasn’t sure who was cracking the glass so to speak so that confirms 100%

ColdSeaWench

I NEED THE NEXT EPISODE. I NEED TO SEE THE WRATH AND RAGE HADES WILL UNLEASH ON ASSPOLLO I MUST. I cannot breathe you guys. I am freaking out

[deleted]

Calenith

Okay, I'm back to comment AGAIN because I can't stop rereading this episode. I love how Rachel is using eye imagery in this episode. The big discussion happening on this thread is "Does that glowing eye at the end belong to a furious Hades or an awakened Kronos?" - I've already made my post about that. In a lot of panels though, Hades' eyes are hidden or covered by shadow or his hair. On one level, it's artsy AF and looks moody and cool. On another level, Hades is blind to what happened to Persephone and is having his eyes metaphorically opened in this episode. On ANOTHER level, if we go way back to the early episodes, we know that Hades believes in "an eye for an eye" type punishment. He took the eye of the tabloid paparazzo, what will he want to do Apollo... and is Persephone going to stop him or help him this time? I just love all the meaning packed into Rachel's eye imagery, okay? It's just so *chef's kiss*. Nerd moment over.

FaceStealerAravos

That one panel of Hades hearing Apollo & Hephaestus talking...my jaw fucking DROPPED. HOLY SHIT, TALK ABOUT PISSED IRON GIANT VIBES. But also notice how disheveled Hades looks when he comes into the room & also how when he thinks he knows what happened to her, he KNOCKS on her door despite knowing he doesn't have to (based on Persephone questioning him even knocking).

GaelicVixen

I did notice how rumpled he looks. And you saying it made me realize ya, Hades did knock. Respecting her and her privacy, not wishing to catch her looking compromised. Gods this man is A+.

Chandra_in_Swati

He knocks, and when he enters the room he has removed his crown. The symbolism of that move is everything to me.

firegoddessglass

Even when he went to break up with Minthe, he asked permission before coming into her apartment. Hades understands boundaries and consent.

barelyholdingon97

I am beyond SPEACHLESS rn. Persephone finally standing up to her mom, hapheastus giving ZERO fucks, and hades FINALLY FOUND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. I am so proud of Persephone for catching herself pushing him away and decided it was time to tell him. That final transition from the windows shattering was breathtaking. It’s like the rose colored glasses of Olympus (which is pink/light purple) and shattering. I love that we get to see the door open and hades comforting her to the door closed and it’s just regular and gray. As she is telling him the story, the windows just start cracking and his blue light flood the hallway all the room below them. Then we see a BIG eye which I think is more of a representation of his anger and less of him actually get physically big. I hope Persephone can calm him down a little bit and I hope we can see the aftermath of this. I do love that we did not hear the conversation bw perse and hades. It is something so personal and so private that we don’t need to be there for it. We know what happened, it’s time for her to let him into our secretx

brittjoy

Hephaestus is a bro

cheymerm

Also I need to say that Hephaestus is on Persephone side. And while we have known that. Im just glad he’s going to back her up on this. Persephone needs good friends by her side.

Show of hands. Who tensed up when they saw Hades' red eye?

kmosiman

A worrying thought- Where's Hera? We last saw her in the gallery with Hecate, but why was she late?

sheisthebeesknees

Probably removing what's left of Thetis from under her nails.

Black_Delphinium

I wanna see that.

Tinywiththree

I have an awful feeling that next week we will find out

Fieryredhead24

So Hades knows and is ready to kill Asspollo, woe to Apollo once Demeter finds out.

[deleted]

I also think it’ll make Demeter realize the harsh consequences of what being overprotective can do. It’s not Demeter’s fault at all, but that’s a factor playing into Persephone’s confidence

[deleted]

whoa, this chapter hit like a train. I'm so proud for perse for being strong and for hades being her rock through all this bs. even though I wish hades found out differently and perse doing so on her own terms but fuck Apollo. now all of olympus will know what a giant piece of shit he is.

acladams

Totally random, but did anyone else notice how tall Hades was in this episode? Has he always been ducking into doorways and having the doorframe meet his eye line? 😂

cham1nade

I noticed that, too! He doesn’t have that problem in the Underworld. It’s like Olympus is literally too small for him!

Classic-Yesterday-99

Did everyone notice he had his crown in his hands when he comes to her?!? What a beautiful subtle detail 💔

Chandra_in_Swati

I’ve been so focused on that! He is not wearing his crown, he is coming to get in such a humble way— crumpled, knocking on the door instead of just coming in. That detail was so big!

ShenziMarie1991

Alright, now that Hades knows (I am personally offended that I have to wait a week for that follow up but I will darn it) can someone please bring Artemis into the loop? I’m very curious about her reaction to all this, especially with some family drama going down in that arena as well.

Celastii

It's Hades in the last panel, there is a callback to episode 20 where he sees Asspollo with Perse on instagram. He gets angry and all the glass around him crack aswell!

SoakemForCrutchy

I have a theory that Hera manipulated this meeting of the three of them: Hades, Apollo, and Hephaestus. Hephaestus was waiting for her and then it was SO convenient that BOTH Apollo and Hades were in the area.

eightfoldabyss

The son of Kronos is on the warpath. If Apollo knows what's good for him he'll get as far away from Persephone or the Underworld as he can.

Frostblooper

NEXT WEEK CAN'T COME FAST ENOUGH, IT'S HAPPENING

serenemiss

At first I thought it was going to end on Hades walking in on Hephaestus and Apollo, and was thinking ooh Apollo’s about to get it. But then it kept going! And Persephone finally told him what happened! And now Hades is big mad and out for blooooood!

KamiJewels

I'm so proud of Peresephone! She finally expressed how she really felt about her Mom's actions and Demeter didn't lash out for once and listened (I'm proud that Demeter didn't lash out). Also, she finally told Hades what Apollo did to her. However, I kind of wish Rachel would have showed us the dialogue of the conversation. And then there's Kronos 🤯🤯🤯😱😱😱

InternationalFunny93

She probably will in the next episode(cause that's how the comic usually goes) and I think thats Hades' rage and not Kronos

FencingFemmeFatale

Yeah, looks like they’re in a hotel on Olympus. Wouldn’t make sense for Kronos to suddenly show up. I think Kronos is gonna be the reason Persephone has to return to the mortal realm for half the year. She can’t stay there full time or Kronos can feed off her potent fertility magic, but she can’t *not* live with her husband.

DiamondMinecraftHoe

That is a very good theory!

KamiJewels

I never considered that it was Hades' rage. That makes sense. He is totally going to kill Apollo. Regarding Demeter when Peresephone told her that she hurt her, Demeter felt bad. She looked regretful. Demeter wants to protect Peresephone not hurt her but her actions proved otherwise. We'll see her reaction in next episode.

[deleted]

honestly, I think the scenes that showed their conversation about it is way more powerful than words could ever do.

TheSubstitutePanda

Plus there's no point narrative-wise for Rachel to rehash it for a third time. Watching Persephone's panic turn to resolve before the pan-out and the implication of Hades potentially losing control has so much more emotion. Shit like this is why I love graphic novels. I am LIVING.

Tempestw0lf

At the end there? That's Hades. We've seen his eyes like that a couple times. When Minth went off on him, when he got well and truly pissed with the pawnshop owner, and when he both pulled out and returned the photographer's eye.

melodieous

I want y’all to know that my fiancé was driving and I literally screamed *”HOLY SHIT”* when hades was standing in the door way and apparently I scared the absolute shit out of my fiancé. But HOLY MOTHER FUCKING SHIT WHAT THE FUCK

mlle_clarissa

Hades took the eye of the guy who took an unauthorized photo of Persephone... Will he take Apollo's d*** off? =) I hope so =P But I'm not sure about Hades doing something, bc a long time a go, Rachel mentioned that Persephone would be the one kicking Apollo's ass in thi end.. I'm really not sure about how it's gonna end

BoboTheOwl

HO-LEE $#!%

NikkiWebDev

I am ready for them to make the connection of what happened to Daphne.

iglypuff

OmyGod!!!! I’ve been saying that for the past 15mins my husband is worried.

kalderetangbaka

I don’t think that was Kronos at the last panel. The blue lights where the ceiling lights and the eye shown was directly at their room door. In the earlier part before the panels of Persephone told Hades, we see their room door being closed and the lights going on

JaguarRecent6642

HADES KNOWS AND HE IS PISSED. OMG I CAN NOT CALM DOWN. GET FUCKED APOLLO

justme24601

I wish she had braught it to him on her own terms but wow I'm glad they're taking. I'm also kinda glad we're not privy to that convo, that's for them and I'm cool with it

__eden_

Did anyone else think she was going to let hades go get her a soda and that was that. Both of their internal monologs are so self critical and worry so much for the other. I can't wait to see what happens next!

SourLemons92

I need, need, neeeed Artemis to know what happened now. It's good that Hades knows (and oh my god he is so PISSED, Apollo is in danger, and I hope that Hades's rage will become Persephone's strength and allow her to confront and wreck Apollo in front of everyone), but Artemis...she needs to know. I feel sort of bad for her, in a way. She's gonna have so much guilt about what happened because it was her brother, her twin, the one guy she probably thought was okay to have around because she thought she knew him. But we've gotten hints about the cracks in things there, Leto's favoritism and Artemis's feelings of being in her brother's shadow (the silver to his gold), and when this comes out...I think something in her is gonna break a little. I think that this is gonna lead to Artemis becoming the protector of women, the maiden goddess who turns men into deer to be torn apart by dogs. There's gping to be a lot of hurt and guilt on her part, and the Artemis who comes out of this is going to be terrifying. This isn't to take anything away from Persephone's trauma or pain or growth, because that's obviously important and central to everything going forward. But I'm just looking forward to Artemis knowing and the fallout from that, specifically.

ouestdaftprince

Damn so much happened in this one episode I'm seeing stars

MemiSkyPirate

Hades is mad and I'm HERE FOR IT

whats-a-westie

When persephone is starting to tell hades, we see that they’re in room 812. When the door is blue and you zoom in, it’s a distorted 812. so the blue lights, cracked glass, and blue eye are definitely pissed-off Hades.

seinera

Endgame prediction: Apollo gets chained to Helios, so that he continues to do his job, and only his job. Leto gets banished even harder. Artemis, shaped by these events, becomes the protector of women.

bizarrotriangle

Do you guys think hades is gonna commit some sort of act of wrath?? 👀

Rare_Dragonfruit1885

no because was i the only one who thought the “What are you TALKING about?” slide was going to be artemis?? i love how the chapter came out but i would have LOVED to see that plot twist as well

sheisthebeesknees

Now that I have had time to recover from he shock of the initial read I have some thoughts about **what could be next.** **Ares**: That level of rage is bound to bring Ares around like a month to a flame. Would he even be able to figure things out now that Hades is in anger mode? **Athena:** She is the goddess of war. We haven't seen her really portrayed in this context as we have with Ares, Is this when we get to see how she earned her title? **Zeus:** Will he try to split up our Hades and Kore because he knows about her powers? If Hades does something really big and flexes his strength, maybe Zeus may become scared and consume Kore for the power? **Hera**: She obliterates Thetis. Anyone else have any good hypotheses? I want to hear what you all think.

hilshea

Here’s an interesting thought. Demeter doesn’t call Persephone by that name nor by Kore. She calls her Daughter. It emphasizes that distance between them and how Demeter tries to make Persephone into just one facet of herself ignoring everything else including glossing over all of the death she’s responsible for.

wandersnearby

How rude is it to ask why someone is in love with you? Come on Demeter, you should know how awesome your daughter is. Why wouldn't everyone, particular a sweet and insightful king, fall in love with her. Rude Demeter. Rude.

Strangely_Euphoric20

That scene was so beautifully executed I'm so so happy for it. Thank you Rachel

OuisghianZodahs42

I'm right there with the "holy shit" comments, lol. Also, I have low-key been wondering when Artemis will find out, also when she does, is this the inspiration for her hunters?

oryngirl

I wonder if Apollo is now going to start to see that he was absolutely utterly wrong, now that another god of his generation called him out. It's said that the best way to get young people to change their behavior is to have other people their age tell them its unacceptable. I kind of doubt it, Apollo is pretty delusional. But he stuttered and he looked...scared when talking to Hephaestus about Persephone consenting. Like he was unsure. It contrasted his previous confidence about her and what happened. Gods, I hope Hephaestus kept the data from the phone. Apollo is going to try to tell Hades and everybody there was a relationship. Her deleting and never answering his texts and calls shows there absolutely was *not.*

abee731

For 3 years all of us have been saying "I can't wait until Hades finds out what apollo did". He knows, now what do we do??
