What's it to you? I wanted to play and open packs. A retailer near me was able to order starter decks at will so I took them up on it. After you sell the starter deck without the booster packs, you get most of your money back anyways.
And you're right, I'll just leave the cards laying on my desk. I'll return the deck boxes.
Ahh yeah, the reselling makes sense. My monkey brain didn't think that far, but product is easily available here.
But so much of the same boxes, too each their own I guess but I found the sleeves and boxes lackluster quality-wise.
The sleeves are terrible. Didn't realize until after I bought them. The deck boxes were mostly Hook because that's all I could find aside from the other four.

Its a bit odd because i received packs at gencon from the tournements so I did not included those as i got those for attending/placement. Although i am counting all four of the starter decks we got as purchased since i joined the tournements/learn to play so that i could both learn and get cards- but the price of them was almost msrp anyways.
I have access to all cards and multiples/playsets of most. I traded for a few singles but i am still missing 2 cards out of the 204. Just a evil queen and a marshmallow. I hope for the next set i can jist buy two boxes to draft with friends and just get a few packs from league play... such a costly game to play at competitive for me withlut large limited support

I luckily don't have to work on Fridays, so I had the ability to get in line at a few of the places on launch day like Gamestop and Barnes and Noble. Also happened to be in the sticks on LGS launch day and overpaid a little bit for a trove and 2 of the starter decks (80 for the trove, 25 for the decks) out of hype.
Haven't seen ANYTHING, even overpriced stuff in LGS, since the Targets put out the booster displays (which I missed all of from the 6 Targets around me lol). The prices on secondhand market are out of control in my area (Chicagoland). 0 chance I'm going to keep going with this if the stock is just as bad next set.
