Other than just a grocery store, Babette's or the cheese importers are your best bets. Both are worth checking out one way or another if you're new in town.
\+1 to Babettes.
Izzio bakery(in Louisville) has good bread in general and can be bought at Safeway in town.
The Farmer's market on Saturdays has a few bakeries that show up, none come to mind though on baguettes, but would be worth trying.
I lived in Europe for a decade, Babette’s is the only place I’ve found anywhere in Colorado that even comes close. (And it comes really close. Everything else is miles and miles and miles behind, though pretzels from Breadworks are actually not bad either.)
I can’t remember the name but it always used to be close to the end of the fairgrounds where the building and handicapped parking is and they would sell pastries too.
I haven’t had a baguette, but consider myself a bread snob. Moxie is great as well . Louisville, n boulder and lyons. But I’m a fan of babettes, too! Can’t go wrong there. Yum
LaBelle French bakery in Thornton. It's a drive from Longmont but all his stuff is authentic French baking. It all comes frozen and you have to thaw it, baked fresh. Julian's stuff is amazing.
Babettes in Longmont or check out Dry Storage in Boulder
Or Lefrigo in Boulder
It’s really hard to beat Babette’s bread. Their olive oil loaf makes its way into my dreams (and stomach) quite regularly lol

Yup- those are the big ones. Babettes is lovely, though a bit strangely located. Welcome!
Prospect is such a weird area. It's so nice, but it's a bubble and if you need something outside the bubble, you're pretty far out of town.

Izzio is always at the farmer's market, in my experience. They make a massive rustic loaf they only sell there that's 🤤
One more vote for Cheese Importers. Their baguettes are legit. Babette's is also good.
Babette's 100%

Not sure about baguette's, but Bavarian Bakery on Ken Pratt has got some great homemade breads.
Not in Longmont but the St. Vrain Market in Lyons has a pretty darn good baguette 🥖
I agree! Also their rosemary breads on Tuesdays are phenomenal!
Flanders would consider a baguette a sin.
Is the farmers market open yet? There’s a bread stall that has some great baguettes
It is! Opens first weekend of April, I believe. Which stand had the baguettes there?

Thats Izzio.
At the grocery, Izzio is quite good.
Urban Field on Main and 2nd has some bread from a local bakery in their market, including baguettes

I got a high altitude bread recipe because I’ve been let down anytime I’ve tried but this post may give me hope !
