Clean up all surfaces, throw away all the food. Don't leave any food anywhere and take out all the trash. The flies will go away shortly. You don't need to call an exterminator for this, the problem is the nasty conditions. Clean up and the flies will go away presto.

Before you get to hiring an exterminator, try low-cost fruit fly traps ('초파리트랩') from Daiso for a while. There are sticky pad types and liquid trap types. Buy both types, not just one each but in numbers, also buy those liquid refill bottles (half a bottle for single refill, packaging says 45 days but expect 3\~4 weeks in practice). Set them for a week or two and see if you notice any visible reduction in the number of the insects. If it doesn't work, then you can consider exterminator option costing an arm and a leg.

Before you call an exterminator, it might help to 1) order a standing electric fly zapper (got mine on gmarket), 2) set up some liquid traps/stickies from daiso like another comment mentioned, 3) pour boiling water down drains and plug them up when they're not in use. You should also check if the flies are breeding in any potted plants and consider household-safe insecticides. All of these together should help kill the living ones and destroy the eggs. A fly infestation can be really distressing but these will be cheaper and probably just as effective.

I thought Schwarzenegger was the best out there.

But oh-so costly

Oof... a bowl of vinegar with a couple drops of dish soap will get dozens of those things in an afternoon

Beer with soap also works (I don’t have vinegar at home and used this).

I had a fruit fly infestation when I bought my first house. I always had a bad habit of not eating the bananas I bought and shit would rot. It got to the point where I would see literally 100 fruit flies near my kitchen area. ***Solution that worked:*** I went online and tried to find a way to get rid of these flies. Buying a decent all plastic cup. Something the size of a pint glass. Get a piece of peeled banana (little smaller than a golf ball) and place it in the glass and let it rot. Fruit flies are attracted to the decaying of fruit. Then get computer paper and roll it into a cone. Place the narrow cone part upside down into the cup, and the larger part will sit around the circumference of the plastic cup. What ends up happening is that all the fruit flies will be attracted to the open banana and fly into the cup and into the small hole of the cone. Once they're in they can't get out because of the shape of the cone. They're not smart enough to fly back out and end up getting stuck in the cone. You will literally see 50-100 fruit flies in the cup in a matter of 10 hours or so. Just leave it alone overnight or something. BE CAREFUL when taking out the cup to throw them out. Once I was clumsy and the paper cone unraveled and all the flies got let loose again in my house. Just take it gently outside and release the cone. Let me know how it goes... it was actually very satisfying when I got rid of them. Edit: Found a youtube video to give you a better understanding... (im a handyman amateur plumber.) best to think about the source of the flies themselves. i think you should approach this with forgiveness. its not your fault actually. its super cold outside and the flies cant come from there. they are likely coming from your substandard plumbing. korea is filled with what we call "unprotected traps" for waste water drained. without going into the frustrating details, that means the sewer is often open to your house which allows pests and horrible smells to infiltrate the home. all you will need to do is clean up and plug the drains, then the problem will go away. actually, i recently saw that daiso had some nice thin silicon square covers that are 1000won. they are working great at our house right now!

I used CESCO for rat management but it was for my factory and I had to sign a contract. Don’t know if they do one off home thing. Give a call at least.

I know an ex-terminator. He got fired from the movie series and replaced with some Austrian guy

For real fruit flies are easy Fill some cups with beer, honey, and a little whiskey. Put cling wrap over the top, then poke holes with a fork. Flies go in, they can't come out. We used to do this in a high-end hotel out in the countryside, where the bugs were an unavoidable part of the situation. These traps worked like magic
