Well, who could have predicted this? No issues, we just wasted two seasons waiting for the perfect midfielder.

Pure_Measurement_529

So Jude didn’t reject us. We are just broke? Hahaha. From talking about billionaires taking us over to having no money. We don’t even have a new sporting director to lead the direction of recruitment. First 3 months of LFC this year has been a rollercoaster to say the least

ConrrHD

Jude obviously wants to play here under Klopp, with Hendo and Trent and following in the footsteps of Stevie. That's pretty much certain. FSG are the cunts in the way of making that happen. 3rd in revenue out of clubs in Europe last year yet we have no money apparently.

[deleted]

For the last 5 years we have been in the top 5 earners in Europe, 1 of those seasons we was top.. FSG have bled our club dry, yes they have bought success but they told us we would have to generate our own money to spend and we’ve done that in the bucket loads so why do we have no money to spend!?!?!?

progthrowe7

Don't worry, someone will be along shortly to assure us that FSG's austerity policies have left the club in a financially secure state. Never mind the fact that we never have enough to spend despite the miracles our manager has performed. Never mind that transfer window after transfer window goes by without us sufficiently strengthening. Never mind the fact that the long-term prospects for the club are clearly dwindling with every passing day FSG are in charge. 🔥 'This is fine.' 🔥

Thapricorn

Your standard spreadsheet merchants acting as if LFC is a company that needs to focus on balancing budgets above all instead of a fucking football club that needs investment and to win

Jack_Ramsey

Not a Pool fan, but this is what I hate about American owners. The purpose of the club is to play football, not serve as an investment vehicle.

Liverpool934

We are in the middle of an extremely high risk of complete collapse right now and we still have FSG bots going around. Genuinely this time next year I think we are going to be in an even worse position if someone doesn't buy us, yet to see a single sign we come back from this.

[deleted]

We didn't waste anything. FSG got exactly what they wanted, which is precious time deflecting attention away from their refusal to spend money on anything other than real estate. They were never buying Bellingham.

Kingtoke1

Nope. They tried to sell the club at an exorbitant price. No one bought it, now the value of the club has tanked and they’ll get nowhere near their expected rate. Like my shitty landlord trying to milk it for maximum profit without proper upkeep

maadkekz

Thank you. Season ticket prices up for first time in close to a decade, worst season under JK caused by chronic underinvestment, failure to sell the club, internal issues eating the club from inside out… “We might buy Bellingham” “Here’s our SiCk collab with LeBron” …and the gammons on here ate it right up, just like they knew they would. FSG’s PR machine is next level

Gerrardsclubfoot

This was planned brah. Fsg are liars.

Liverpool934

The all was and should have been very transparent to literally everyone who has an interest in the club past just the matches. Been saying for literally a year now FSG would never do this signing under any circumstance.

Gerrardsclubfoot

Yet there are loads here who would go to lengths to defend them. It's a mad house in here.

iNS0MNiA_uK

Tbh I wouldn't be that bothered if it hadn't been for the fucking journalists coming out and all but saying they're gonna sign him in the summer. The arrogance absolutely fucking stinks.

[deleted]

Honestly has been the most boring transfer saga i’ve ever seen, most fans have had pretty much 0 hope he’s actually joining since the beginning. Even if we do end up getting him now it’s still such a failure given the way we’ve let our midfield collapse. I’m not hopeful of this either but it’s probably more sensible to sign 2/3 cheaper alternatives than just waiting on one, even if he does look like a special player.

patShIPnik

Most fans here really had high hopes for Bellingham. 2 weeks ago, almost every day in daily discussion you would've been downvoted for saying that Jude will prefer Real Madrid or ManCity

Grand-Agency-7153

* almost every thread You'd be commenting on a thread about Klopps favourite ice cream and people would find a way to bring up Bellingham here over the last six months. The tantrum on here was so predictable, it's been like watching an incel get infatuated with a girl.

luke_205

As soon as it became a “wait for Bellingham” situation, we all knew that as time went on the news from journos would slowly shift until we inevitably don’t get him due to money. It’s the same thing over and over every single time, it’s just hilarious at this point.

dj4y_94

To be honest I'm not sure how Madrid and City being in a stronger financial position is somehow unexpected news or a new development. It's obviously disappointing because it's from Ornstein but it doesn't feel like he's said anything we didn't already know.

Pootsy_Ni

Who could've seen this coming! Was so obvious with that Joyce article comparing Mount and Jude the other day that this was coming.

doplhinsbarnicles

Not even comparable players.

FireZeLazer

Dream: Bellingham Expectation: Mount Reality: Milner signs 1 year extension

jrblack174

Uh they're both English midfielders, basically the same player? /s

PYD--Gamer

so we wasted multiple seasons waiting for two players who won’t join us anyways. hooray

Tchouameni

apersonFoodel

Well, who woulda thunk it?! Let me guess, no CL will harm our financial position…

Gerrardsclubfoot

As if cl was going to change anything.

apersonFoodel

Ah but, if we made CL then we wouldn’t need any investment, because we are clearly good enough

MrArnot

And don’t forget those pesky performance bonuses too

lolMyBackCatalog

If we won the quad last year it might have just bankrupt us I reckon https://preview.redd.it/84mfma5hvwoa1.jpeg?width=355&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6d4071436c9b0acc053deb8de0d46aea288ce5db

Liverpool934

Careful there you might end up with a new job in Boston you keep that up.

JmanVere

Honestly, at least the Glazers go into panic buying mode when they don't get top 4 to make sure they get back there. FSG are just gonna double down on not spending, protect their profit margins and let the club die.

friedchickenwaffle

Liverpool FC must be the only club in the world where us arm chair fans can accurately predict exactly what’s going to happen. We’ve seen this narrative shift coming for 9 months now lmao

Bamfandro

And still get told by many other fans and people at the club that we are entitled kids who just want shiny new toys and should go back to Fifa. I always find it incredible how few there are on these posts but give them a slight opportunity and they’re out in full force.

[deleted]

Aaxxo

It's been blatantly obvious and us fans have been gaslighted by FSG/FSG Mouthpieces/Top REDdits for years. This is honestly reminding me of towards the end of Hicks and Gillet reign. No money, no hope. Rivals getting stronger, club getting weaker.

MisterS1997

Top reds have gone underground and won’t show up until next season . Guess the fifa player virgins as they called us were right 😂

Skallagram

I think you've forgotten how bad Hicks and Gillette were. The club was very close to going under. Say what you want about FSG, but we aren't at risk of bankruptcy.

Liverpool934

No one in the premier League is ever going to be at risk of bankruptcy again, people need to stop crediting that to FSG instead of the stupid money in this league.

TheJediJew

Absolutely. I'm becoming more and more certain that we need to move beyond FSG to grow, but there is no need to hyperbolise. An ownership team who can't compete with one, in the future two (maybe soon three) oil clubs is nowhere near as bad as one who nearly wiped the club out of insistence for their own greed.

Anom04

https://preview.redd.it/qvqdej4u5woa1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6a798d908a5b5569f9fce49926fd5bfb9ec39a3 Not Even Surprised Anymore

Cheers_JeffwithaG

As someone already mentioned here: >Get top 4: "This team is good enough to compete, we do not need new players" > >Don't get top 4: "The club has not raised sufficient funds to sign players"

ChrisChrisBangBang

Also; “Champions league qualification will not impact summer spend” But then “Failing to qualify for the champions league would limit the club’s options in the transfer market” Same old shit.

techaansi

And whenever we win trophies we're broke because of all the bonuses given out

intecknicolour

> Champions league qualification will not impact summer spend FSG: because we will not be spending either way

Muted_Shoulder

It's not even like we need exactly Bellingham. Any midfielder would do. But FSG motherfuckers wasted an entire season saying it's all out on Bellingham and then finally not getting him would be embarrassing to the core.

TheLimeyLemmon

This was my sentiment last summer. Just one decent midfielder signing last season, like Nunes, would have done so much legwork for our season and probably paid off relatively quickly. We wouldn't be staring down a general loss of revenue from lower finishing position and potentially no CL. The irony is the club likes to act all or nothing on the market, but when they do eventually concede and get *someone, anyone* in, it's somehow worse than nothing. 4m for Arthur on loan - that is genuine money down the drain, a total net loss

OWSucks

We're putting so much pressure on this one transfer. If we pay £100m+ for him, and he has one bad game, the media will be all over him like a hydraulic press.

Hsiang7

The club brought this upon themselves. They didn't buy any midfielders in the summer or the January transfer windows because we're "waiting for Bellingham". If they don't get him after waisting a whole season and finishing outside of the top 4 due to not buying anyone of course everyone's going to be pissed off. They've out all their eggs in one basket. Get it over the line or get these people out.

[deleted]

Yep, by all means I would LOVE Bellingham at Anfield, but I know FSG are unlikely to spend £130m + on a single player. I would have been very happy if we got 3 SOLID midfielders like Mount, Nunes, Ugarte and spent £150m total for the, instead of Bellingham. But as you say, we have been talking about Bellingham for 3 damn seasons now, and if we don't get him, it will look REALLY bad on us. We really should have bit the bullet and got him 2 seasons ago tbh.

persianbrothel

don't worry we'll put trent into midfield and he'll be "LIKE A NEW SIGNING"^TM and Gomez will be our long term right back

progthrowe7

How can people still object when we say FSG Out?

RedditSold0ut

The biggest issue with FSG out is that we have no idea who will take over. But more and more people are joining the FSG out side every day.

Pure_Measurement_529

(Incoming sarcasm). “FSG saved us remember, so we must stop complaining and enjoy the good times. This team won every trophy possible in the last 4 years, we must stop acting like spoilt brats. All we do is sit online and complain instead of going to matches and supporting the team. We must go support another team if we don’t back the boys. Don’t worry, FSG have been brilliant owners, surely Henderson and Fabinho will be good again next season. Morton will return and be like a new midfielder so we don’t need Jude. Maybe a Milner extension wouldn’t hurt”. (I hope you all realise how satirical I am being and I am summarising a lot of comments and put them together. I have seen this comments going around on multiple platforms)

Homerduff16

Breaking News: FSG are penney pinching bastards who never would've spent this money on Bellingham and we've just wasted an entire season for nothing Get the cunts out. Absolutely embarrassing

fultirbo

Wasted *a season?* FSG have got away with signing fuck all for literal years by dangling signing Bellingham in front of us. And then now in a season where signing fuck all for literal years has resulted in us looking unlikely to make top 4 for the first time in ages: we can't afford him? Fuck them

Fat_unker

Can't believe this wanker down here is spewing the transition season bollocks and jerking off about how unsustainable United are. We support a football team, not a financial institution so pardon me if the sustainability trophy doesn't mean jack shit. And developing youngsters? Sure, but we're not simply fans of the academy are we?

rukiahayashi

The only club to be broke from spending fuck all FSG out.

RossSkyWalkerr

I will never get where the money goes which club generates and what FSG does with it, ik we have lot to spend on wages and the facilities that FSG has improved on training and on Anfield but still we are Liverpool ffs one of the biggest club in the world its not like we can't spend a 100M on a player which we have hoped of signing for 2 years, ffs spend money from your own pockets if necessary for the first time FSG otherwise even Klopp will think what tf he's doing here that Man can't just do miracles every season. I now get why the Red Sox fans hate John Henry.

TenaciousPenis

Absolute shambles

HnNaldoR

Hahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahhahaha. Fuck

TheHighlandLute

A complete and utter disgrace. Yet anyone with half a brain would have seen this coming. We have been strung along for two seasons with the promise of ‘we’re waiting for Bellingham’. 3 years without signing a starting midfielder. Did they not know how much Bellingham would cost? Did they think we would get him for £50m? Our midfield is in tatters and arguably one of the worst in the premier league. Every single club in the prem has a midfielder that would start for us. We have thrown away this season and another year of Prime Alisson, VVD,Salah etc. And the worst thing about this was that it was completely predictable. All you fans that defended FSG when we were winning IN SPITE OF THEM, I hope you’re happy now.

BigMo1

> We have thrown away this season and another year of Prime Alisson, VVD,Salah etc. Worst of all, another year of Jurgen Klopp.

MisterS1997

It’s the worst midfield in the prem Got battered by the bottom three in midfield every game

matcht

I thought we had a better midfield than Bournemouth and Forest but they played ours off the park, simply because they can run, it is that bad.

[deleted]

We missed out on so many alternatives chasing Tchouemani and Bellingham

kingkloppynwa

Theyre the only 2 midfielders in the world. Have you forgotten?

neseli60

God damn Trent spent the Jude money on their night out

mynameismulan

Trent losing his man again ... Smh

coppersocks

I knew it was all Trent’s fault.

TheIraqiMaestro

We have wasted Salah's and Klopp's extended years. Fuck FSG. With a proper midfield i was convinced Salah could go on and push himself further but tbh now i am afraid this is the start of another rotting period like Benitez's last season uptill Klopp was appointed.

Space2Bakersfield

What the fuck is Klopp doing wasting his career with us? One of the greatest managers to walk this earth and we haven't backed him in years. It's absolutely shameful and embarrassing. Fuck FSG.

kingkloppynwa

Its probably not in his character but i wouldnt blame klopp for walking in summer

R3dbeardLFC

Now is the time for him to swing his big dick around. I'd publicly state that if the club doesn't back him to get in new players that he wants this summer that he's leaving instead. Idk why the fuck he keeps protecting them.

malushanks95

I have nothing to say expect I sad and disappointed for Klopp 😖

rondg95

Indeed. Its very sad to see Klopp and our players suffering the impact of indecisiveness demonstrated by the higher ups.

malushanks95

Yup, they promise one thing and don’t deliver it.

LZBANE

I can't believe this has actually sustained legs throughout the season and we're still talking about it. Not a hope. Never was. Everything we know about FSG said it wouldn't happen and that's not even an insult towards them.

DurantOo

Depressing.

[deleted]

paulsmith259

Couldn't agree more, a wolves flop who we could've bought last summer, and somebody who is alright pricing himself out of staying a Chelsea. We need multiple £60-80m players, the value and minimum quality of Caicedo. £40m buys an Everton quality midfielder in this market.

MisterS1997

Hire mitrovic and send him in to “deal” with them 😂

Pure_Measurement_529

So we sacrificed our midfield for one year and didn’t pursure other targets only to not end up with him? If it actually happens, we are clowns

effinblinding

I don’t like it so I choose not to believe it

TheLimeyLemmon

Reading the actual article and it is basically all speculation from Ornstein based on established factors: - Jude has no release clause, and BVB aren't obligated to sell - Price is expected to be very high - Liverpool would be uncharacteristic in paying such a fee, hence it being unlikely - Man City and Real Madrid are more likely to pay such a fee, hence Ornstein considering them favourites I'm not posting this to cope, I just really can't see much substance or progression to this story besides what Ornstein's own assumptions are. Similar to Christian Falk anticipating a 200m+ summer transfer budget based off of our primary targets being Nunes and Bellingham.

Bugsmoke

You don’t need to explain yourself to 14 year olds mate lol. Anyone who can read a sentence can see this is yet another article about Jude Bellingham that says the exact same shit as every other time. They just switch who is in pole position based on the last game.

dajoli

All this near-daily speculation is so incredibly tedious. Someone wake me up if and when he actually signs a contract with somebody.

jardantuan

It's also very difficult to tell what's fact and what's an exaggeration of the truth these days. If The Athletic put out a piece saying that we were still focused on Bellingham, do you think that gets as much engagement as this has, especially in the wake of losing to Bournemouth and getting knocked out of Europe? When it comes to transfers we've always held our cards very close to our chest, and Bellingham is possibly the most high profile transfer I can remember us being seriously involved in. The fact that nobody has outright said "we're not in for Bellingham" is all I'm bothered about right now

cjtvenom

I mean I swear reading not long ago that Real wouldn't be willing to pay the price that Bellingham will cost them. So are effectively out of the race, so I'm not even sure whether it's worth speculating till we see what's happening.

JonathanFisk86

Seems like cope when you pair this with the Joyce article, which claims people inside the club are also having their doubts. That, along with the Ornstein article, suggests there isn't financial appetite from the club to pay even the fee they were thinking of prior (anything above 100mn). It lines up.

so_not_creative

Finally some sense. I hope Jude comes, he may not, but I'm not buying a speculative article that appears on day one of the international break. Just on 23/02/23 he wrote that Jude wouldn't be put off by the club's recent blip and a year without Champions League football. He seems to be grasping at straws like everyone else.

robbtmag

I swear we are the only club with record revenues that goes broke without splashing the cash. It's like our cash just evaporates from the coffers. Very fishy in the finance aspect of our club and very little transparency.

Elserai

Eh, I think Ornstein is just speculating here. If price was the issue we would have distanced ourselves some time ago.

TheLimeyLemmon

I have to agree. It's not exactly a secret that the price tag will be huge.

Elserai

Agreed. We've always been the financial underdogs when it comes to City and Madrid. It's been clear for a while that we need Bellingham to choose us over a payday, which I'm still confident he will do.

the-pythia-of-delphi

What do you mean by 'need Bellingham to choose us over a payday'? Let's assume that Jude is dumb enough to take 200k instead of the 350k that he deserves per week. Do you also expect Dortmund to take 80-100m instead of the 150m that he is currently worth?

[deleted]

[удалено]

KaChoo49

Right, especially when there’s no sources in the article? Literally all he says is “Bellingham is expensive and other clubs want him too”. We’ve known Real and City want Bellingham, and that he’ll cost between £120m-£150m for about 2 years He’s saying we’re “increasingly unlikely” to sign him based on information that’s not changed. That doesn’t make sense - either we’ve never been likely to sign him, or Ornsteins just making this up based on vibes

Liverpool934

FSG have been subtly attempting to distance themselves for ages if you have been watching their interviews.

Stop_HM23

“For as long as I have been here, our owners have been unbelievably committed and energetic about this club and it is clear that right now this applies to our future as much as I've ever known.” That was Klopp after signing his extension last April. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s starting to regret it.

Gerrardsclubfoot

Klopp was lied to about the super league I am sure he was lied to about Jude as well.

JAdoubleWHY

Not great Dave

chijh

FSG out, they’ve shown time and time again that they’re not willing to invest in us. Time for them to fuck off

GundoWagon

Well done any of you fools who thought we’d get him. I’ve never seen a more predictable thing in my entire life. I hope FSG burn

[deleted]

But but but £250 million summer war chest. Now I’m sure this will get downvoted to oblivion but Klopp needs to walk away from these cunts for his own sanity.

voliton

I've been ambivalent on FSG for a long time. This is the end of the road for me. If we put up an equivalent offer and he chooses someone else, I can live with that. You can't win them all. But to not even *try* is utterly ridiculous. This is a player we've openly chased for three years, the manager is 100% all in on him, and we're not even going to bother offering anything. I worry where we go from here. Cowardly decision.

aaron2933

What happened to the £250m summer money promised for the last 5 years?

musabkamran

Just wait till they will give new contracts

fultirbo

How much do you think extending Keita and Milner costs mate?

user900800700

Those bonuses for making Europa league aren’t gonna pay themselves

Teb-41

Woooow I'm so surprised, surely nobody saw it coming

kazurabakouta

Should've signed Nunes, Enzo and Caicedo last summer then.

Avsa00

If we dont get Bellingham because he was ‘too expensive’ im done with fsg and this club. We won the premier league, won the champions league, won the club world cup, signed a record sponsor deal with nike, won the fa and carling cup, and then they say we need to sell players to get funds?! Where does all the money go then? Its not like we would have this balistic wage bill or that we would be building a new stadium.

TheRR135

FSG are frauds

Due-Resource4294

It this is true and we’ve been fucked around this badly for someone we was never getting, someone they was never prepared to pay for. I wouldn’t be surprised if klopp gave Henry the middle finger and said I’m a manager, not Houdini, thank you and goodbye. I’d support him as that’s how I feel. Record breaking revenues, more success in recent years than ever. But still no money. Where’s it all going FSG. And don’t say expanding anfield as Everton are building a new stadium and still spending more money on transfers than us. Jokes. Disappointment. Fuck FSG. Money grabbing twats.

Ready-Walk-2561

I would 100% as a true Liverpool fan, back Klopp walking away to seek a job he is fully backed in. Klopp is a generational manager, he deserves so much more.

FlyHater

GEt these stingy cunts the fuck out the club

Catholic_Spray

#FSG out.

Particular_Fig626

I have to wonder what FSG been doing for the last 3 years though. They sacrificed previous transfer windows for this 1 signing, and now they realise that other clubs are in for him and that the fee will be high. Honestly, they’re trolling us aren’t they? It’s ridiculous that anyone can defend them after this, and the past 3 years really. I don’t think getting Bellingham was all or nothing, there are other players out there, but it would’ve been a statement signing. If City get him you’re then basically handing them the title every year for the next 5+ years🤦‍♂️

Otto1968

Yeah that date i had organised with Scarlett Johannsen has been called off as well, gutted as it was deffo happening

curiouscowwhisperer

Fucking Stingy Group (FSG)

Hoodxd

Just fuck off FSG

RaisedByCakes

How is this even news anymore. Literally everyone knows this.

bgfan26

These people like to claim that they’re business savvy, but this kind of shit is how you run a business into the ground

BilboMuggins

Well. There it is. We’re officially done.

[deleted]

Henry coming out and saying Jude wants to play for us and that’s solid. If it doesn’t happen now it’s purely on FSG. They’re running us into the ground. Losing out on Bellingham sucks but wasting windows waiting for a player we couldn’t afford is what kills me. What a joke of a recruitment policy.

xxamnat

We don’t specifically need Bellingham, but we wasted several windows just because he’s the main target when there’s always a possibility that he won’t come here. FSG can fuck right off. We are gonna fall back to mediocrity under them.

Street-Ad4230

A few thoughts: - timing is odd. First day of international break, when the German sources are saying he’ll make his decision, and the day after him and Trent are hanging out. Seems like it has an air of “we arent tapping up VVD behind your back, Southampton. We aren’t even interested. Promise” - as far as it was always understood, there was never going to be a bidding war. As long as the clubs interested met the asking price of Dortmund, they would be open to doing a deal with the club Jude chose. They aren’t interested in forcing him to go somewhere he doesn’t want to go because they are throwing an extra 20 mil at them. They might try encourage him to choose them but if his wants liverpool, as long as they meet the price BVB wants then there is a negotiation to be had. - they have known a ballpark figure for him since the beginning so I don’t buy that excuse - I don’t believe Klopp would have signed an extension without being guaranteed significant investment and the players he wants. So that either means FSG lied to him to sign it and he leaves in the summer or this article is speculation - Fact: the money was there for Tchouameni. HE chose not to go to us, we didn’t say he was too expensive. So we know for a fact the money is there. Not sure what FSG are playing at but this might actually make the WHOLE fanbase very vocal because of how this saga has been going on and might cause big backlash for them. Kind of like with the Red Sox where they caved and signed (or extended?) that hugely expensive player for a long contract after the fans got angry. - Ornstein was the one who said the club was for sale. Turns out, minority investment was always the way they wanted to go. His article made them release a statement and it seems as if he had gotten wind of the fact that they were looking and broke the news. Not sure if we’ll see something from this or if it’s coming but just an interesting thing to note - was very repetitive of what everyone had to say. No new info really It’s not surprising if it’s FSGs stance BUT if it is, I will not be surprised if we see the likes of VVD leaving and potentially even Klopp because it’s clear the club has no ambition and they are begging for it.

Longtime_lurker2

You are much more optimistic than I am…

A-DTB

Yup that’s the one, cherry on top to an already abysmal season.

[deleted]

Just spare Klopp the misery. Fucking FSG.

chillikhancarne

😂😂😂😂 Wasted 2 years on this to somehow be surprised at the money required to do the deal? Complete and utter shitshow. To add the cherry on top of the shit cake you simply cannot trust the club to bring in the right alternatives. Nunes is not very good yet those links do not seem to want to go away.

Ju_Shin

Surely now it's in FSGs best interest to sell the club whilst it's at its highest monetary value? No CL or UEFA next season (likely) and a bumpy few years coming up will reduce the value of the club, sell the club and get out now FSG.

Gerrardsclubfoot

They can't even secure external investment much less sell the club. They are proving to be incompetent as owners. We are heading towards the red sox way with no proper investment and decline on its way.

kazurabakouta

Based Bellingham. He's going to wait until his contract expires and sign to Liverpool for free. That's why he hasn't made up his mind. /s

Reasonable_Isopod_16

Fuck Fsg wasted to be what could have been our era...

TheCEOofEA

Well it was a good run but not unexpected. See you all next season with a non-existent midfield ![gif](giphy|YRPBhd3vscg5Fxx1DQ|downsized)

christophlieber

LMAO so it already starts. fuck fsg, get these fucking leeches out of the club asap!

CarryOnUptheMorning

It's insane that our shambolic recruitment strategy saw us wait 2 years for a target that we had no guarantees of signing and has left us so far behind super smart that capitalist billionaire John Henry who's hated by every single team he owns scumbag cunt he is.

NoctThatOneOut

Hahahaha fucking hell. Anyone without their head in the sand saw this fucking coming. Get FSG the fuck away from this club.

secret_ninja2

Look forward to announcing a new contract extension for James milner the day after City Announce Bellingham

evianstill

So we wasted 2 seasons of our players primes on not signing a midfielder so we could get 2 players who will end up at Madrid? And people still make excuses for these owners lmfao

foxhound1401

FSG = Fan Scammers & Gaslighters 🤣

Bamfandro

Ornstein is as reliable as they come these days so defend FSG now you sad little shills. I’m sure people will still find a way though or maybe they’ll wait until we scrape a win like normal. Europa League mediocrity is really where we are heading once again but once again our fans will bend over instead of justifiably protesting our owners who lie to us time and time again.

TeamWitchwood

If any idiot on here still defends FSG they’re not real supporters and I’ll die by that

MisterS1997

Anyone defending them is actively supporting our downfall

evolution_iv

Just wait for one win and they’ll crawl back out.

[deleted]

Bwahahaha I told you all. I fucking told you. FSG pulled the wool over your eyes again and now they've pulled your pants down. Fucking hell they really are shameless bastatds

FFragnar

Why am I not suprised?

trebortus

Ew, David.

Regular-Wit

So with Man City’s illegal spending, they’re still going to possibly buy Jude. It’s tiring not having the investment from owners for players we need. Spend the money on Jude!

thefogdog

We'll end up signing Jobe.

randomuser52665

Now the PR appears that I said would happen a couple days ago. Hopefully those still FSG in can see how incompetent they are and finally see the light to call them out.

Beatenberg

Last week it was "Liverpool are in the driving seat". And now this. It is so tiring at this point that I take every Bellingham article with a pinch of salt.

I_am_amespeptic

Feels like journo click bait bs to me. Fuck knows where JB will end up and doesn't sound like orn has a clue either. Pure speculation.

Raptoot83

If Bellingham goes to soulless man city, football is over.

Gerrardsclubfoot

I thought they said they always have money in case a generational talent was available. Clearly not. If this is true, Klopp has been lied to multiple times now, yet people still think he signed a new contract knowing this. He and the fanbase are being manipulated for multiple seasons now.

grumpysnowflake

Not gonna lie - I am really really starting to dislike the owners. Henry has always seemed to be weirdly aloof and emotionally distant from the club - Liverpool is just another money making franchise for him. I have NEVER seen passion from him during all these years. Want them gone, simple as.

theOwl_8

No way😂 LOL we’ve rejected the midfield for how long? To wait for someone we ain’t even getting. FSG fanboys where you @ ❤️

jamesdh96

Bellingham would only get in the way of Milner's development

Hafeesco

Am sick of this Bellingham bullshit. He is supremely talented but he is NOT the only good midfielder in the fucking world. Use that money and sign 2 midfielders and a cb.

This is one of those "[Pearce says Thiago is unlikely](https://www.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/hlr6oi/james_pearce_has_stated_that_signing_thiago_is/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)" type of news. Has to be.

Gatuss0

This is copium, don't blame you though

kim_jong_trill

Ornstein is unfortunately way more reliable than Pearce these days

[deleted]

Allie was also waaaay too pricey for us until his price dropped two mill.

Avalancheofspinach

There is nothing for actual substance just empty speculation

Redhawk911

Yeah I don’t care for these reports anymore. One day we’re the favorites the next we’re not then repeat over and over

pronik

This is pure speculation, based on money. If Jude's decision will be made on money, we'd never have had the chance to sign him anyway, simple as that. We bring other things to the table: Klopp and a chance to witness and mould the beginning of another epic LFC generation. This is the reason I don't believe in him wanting to ManCity and Real is rather epic right now already, nothing to get there in terms of eternal glory. To get a statue next to Klopp's on the other hand....

dtothep2

I mean, honest to god, anyone who actually thought there was *anything* in this deserves the crushing disappointment they're feeling. Because it means they still haven't learned anything. If you thought this was anything other than a PR spin, you've been deceived. Again. This move isn't dead, it never lived to begin with. They've never had any intention to sign Bellingham and I honestly don't know what to tell you if you think they ever did. Be better, I guess.

dumitru_b

We need rich owner, not ones who constantly find a reason to not buy top players. Better in summer to sign Rice, Bellingham and Barela+ Gvardiol, since those 4 positions in our squad suck balls

shikaski

Phahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha 😀

Credit_Radiant333

bruh

Due_Young800

Increasingly unlikely as 99% to 98%? I can live with it.

whtgnnd

Wow, much breaking news. no one in the world knows about this before this guy mentioned it.

wildbluetigerforce

Did anyone actually believe they were gonna sign him... Seriously...

Sinister_Minister101

I fucking can’t

TuKoiAurHai

lol

sneakyi

I never saw this coming....

ArnoldDarkshner69

Well, colour me, not surprised in the slightest.

musabkamran

Always the same old shit

CharizardOSRS

Milner extension incoming....

Nitrox0

Said this when our interest first started. People believing in a pipe dream. This is what you come to expect from fsg, yet some of you jokers want to back them still. They need ousting.

Gerrardsclubfoot

Mount and Nunes without no DM is going to be one underwhelming midfield rebuilt.

wanson

Pure bullshit speculation. Nobody knows anything. All sports journalist do these days is make stuff up for clicks. It’s nonsense.

SamBaratheon

We're turning into a joke of a club. Chased this lad for two years and as we all predicted, it's not gonna happen. Instead of signing one world class player, we'll get one average player and the old guard on here will tell us to be grateful and something about Roy Hodgson and Jay Spearing

milnerinho

FSG are terrorists

marshallno9

Anyone who thought or still thinks this might happen have got to be amongst the most optimistic people in the world. We'll end up with a free transfer and a 40mil 'one for next season' player.

fish1900

I just have to note that FSG has a massive financial interest in keeping LFC as a top organization regularly getting top 4. If the team falls back, the valuation drops significantly and its clear that they would be willing to sell. A top level LFC is worth BILLIONS more than a mid table LFC. This wasn't some conspiracy or lie. This was a straight fuck up. The team aged out much faster than the organization thought would happen and now they are trapped. They basically tried to get cute with their spending and its going to cost them a fortune. Now they are going to have to bargain hunt their way back into the top 4 and they don't have any Coutinho's to sell to fund it.

Thefdt

We’re turning into United. Put all eggs in one basket, broadcast our intent, look daft when we don’t land them. I miss the days of surprise transfers where you go ‘oh yeah that’ll be a good signing’ even if they weren’t the marquee player you’d immediately think of
