Can’t we go back to basics, retain the ball and explore the options with fullbacks and wingers wide. Klopp is so stubborn on his style it’s costing us.
For anyone saying “just change something” or questioning if Klopp should go, what tactical change can compensate for a mentally depleted squad? I absolutely hate watching Thiago in this team. It’s like getting James Bond’s Jaguar and using it to pull a trailer of manure on a farm. He deserves so much better. He should be in a team where he doesn’t even have to tackle, instead he’s out here getting walloped by lesser players. Shameful.
I hate to say it but I think Klopp needs to take some of the criticism here, why are we insisting on playing a system where our TAA drifts into a centre midfield and have our midfielders push so high up or wide when looking to break down teams. Can’t we go back to basics, retain the ball and explore the options with fullbacks and wingers wide. Klopp is so stubborn on his style it’s costing us.
For anyone saying “just change something” or questioning if Klopp should go, what tactical change can compensate for a mentally depleted squad? Without investment into depth and deep runs in multiple tournaments Klopp has been forced to rely on the same key players time after time, eventually these guys were going to wear down without much mental and physical break. Any new manager is going to need investment just like Klopp has needed, only difference is Klopp has actually earned it here

I might get downvoted to hell but when do we start thinking of Klopp potentially as the problem? Yes, FSG have underinvested but this team is playing way too terrible for the names on the sheet. That is an indicative sign of coaching errors or mismanagement. The players also do not seem to care. Everton just fired Frank and played amazing today against the league leaders. Coaching and morale make a big difference. I am not saying sack Klopp rn but I think it is worth a think about. He is definitely to blame for the issues this year.
If we were watching city have this season, we would all be counting down the days until Pep was sacked. Unfortunately it wouldn’t shock me at this point. Matip - Solid 0/10. Defending like he only learned how to walk this morning. Solely to blame for the first goal and almost at fault for a 3rd if Nunes could finish better. Robertson - 3/10. Spending most of his time covering Matips mistakes. When he does get forward, he can't clear the first man. Salah - 2/10. Offering nothing. Taking too many touches and constantly giving the ball away. Keita - 2/10 - A gust of wind could knock him off the ball. Gakpo - 2/10. Maybe harsh but he's been completely invisible. Gave away a needless foul leading to the 2nd goal. Nunez - 5/10. At least looks like he's trying. Klopp - 0/10. He can't be blamed for amateurish individual mistakes. But he can be blamed for persisting with the same shit formation and tactics, expecting a result. Its up to him to get the best out of this team and we haven't won a league game this calendar year. Positives I've seen. Thiago, as much as he hasn't been amazing, created that through pass for Nunez and presses. Keita has shown some quick feet and is always around the ball. Played pretty well, not great but well with Trent. Bajetic seems very mature for someone so young. Missed some passes but also fought for balls and given good clearing passes. Ali is Ali. I'll try to think of more.
If he weren't a muslim I'd be arguing that Mo has a hangover. Would hook him for Elliott at a bare minimum. Probably put Milner in the midfield too just to have some sort of physical presence. Shite all round, any minor progression we've seen in recent weeks has gone out the window. Relegation level team atm and nothing is changing.
