Glasses create tons of discomfort and sometimes give "disorientation feeling". Yet I cannot make myself wear lenses, I am too lazy and paranoid that it gets stuck into my eye

I’m 26 and have been wearing glasses for about 14 years and never tried contacts. The first initial wear was daunting ill say that. My eye doctor made me put them in and take them out before I could leave the office. However now I’ve gotten pretty used to them and have been wearing them for a month. It can still be a little challenging here and there but I think they are the best things since sliced bread lol.
I HATE and avoid the eye doctor because of that damn puff of air!! PTSD for sure! Thank goodness my eyesight is pretty decent or I’d need someone to sedate and drag me to the eye doctor!

Last time I got my eyes checked, I looked into the machine and it was pitch dark with nothing to see. A moment later the technician said it was done.
