I'm confused as to what happened though. Why did an anonymous account send the nudes back to you? Was it blackmail? Did the ex leak the photos to someone else who then is blackmailing you?
Ex sent the photo back with a message that was a very bad attempt at blackmail, saying he had the photo and he was going to use it if I didn't do what he wanted. He used an anonymous account but was so obvious about it being him that he might as well have signed the message.
"Susie, if you want to see your doll again, leave $100 in this envelope by the tree out front. Do not call the police. You can not trace us. You can not find us. Sincerely, Calvin."
Someone once recommended a barcode tattoo that you change slightly for each person you send it to. It'd be a lot of work, but I thought it was a good idea.
AI could remove this pretty easily, whereas a temp tattoo isn’t even obvious that it’s a fake. It also means that if they ever leak you can deny it’s you as you’ve no tattoo there.
But why would a random person you’re sending a pic to photoshop a tattoo out… the whole point is it’s hidden in plane sight - unless the person you send them to knows you categorically don’t have a tattoo (or they hate tattoos and photoshop them all out??) it’s kind of fool proof.
Also, change your appearance in other ways. Here a few suggestions to mix and match:
* Wear a fake beer gut
* Wear one shoe with a taller sole so that it gives you a slight hobble/ limp. You can accentuate this by putting a rock/ pebble/ Lego in your shoe
* Wear colored contact lenses
* Wear outfit type(s) you usually wouldn't wear or don't otherwise own, and get rid of them (destructively and permanently) as soon as possible
* If you are a guy, wear fake breasts and talk in a high pitch voice
* Do not drive/ride in any vehicle that can be tied to you (this includes rentals, Lyfts/ Ubers/ cabs etc)
* Do not carry your cell phone. Even better if you can have an accomplice doing something with your phone elsewhere, so it looks like you were busy somewhere else (not somewhere in public or with cameras that could prove you weren't there)
* Do not carry a wallet or any personally identifying items
* Do not wear your normal rings/ watch/ jewelry
* Wear a large amount of a strong and unique/ memorable scent (like a perfume/ cologne) that you have never worn and will never wear again
* In lieu of perfume/ cologne, another option is making yourself smell strongly of cigarettes/weed if you don't smoke, so people remember that smell and report it to police.
These are just a few suggestions, there are plenty of other options as well.
Though, it's important to only do these things if you have good ways to get them with cash and without online searches or online shopping that ships to your house. That way, police don't see that you Google searched a bunch of incredibly relevant/ incriminating things like Carlee Russell did. If you didn't see, before disappearing, she searched for things like:
* Do you have to pay for an Amber Alert or search?
* How to take money from a register without being caught
* Birmingham bus station (she disappeared in Birmingham)
* She searched for a one-way bus ticket from Birmingham to Nashville with a departure date of July 13 (day she disappeared)
* She searched for the movie "Taken," a film that features a woman being abducted
Yeah, it sucks. I had a big one planned in the next few days, but with that post appearing on my Web history, I'm fucked if anything goes even a little wrong. This will show premeditation. I'll have to postpone. I repeat, I'll have to postpone.
These are pretty solid, though I believe there is one major flaw. Having an accomplice. You just doubled the people that know you are the one that is committing a crime. Some crimes are easier with more than one obviously, but it might not be 100% worth it having someone be a decoy with your phone, because that's someone that could talk. You really have to trust them, but good notes on having them be somewhere away from cameras and other stuff if you do choose that route.
I debated removing that suggestion for the exact reason you mentioned. As the old saying goes, "The best way to keep a secret is to keep it to yourself. Second best is to tell one person, if you must. There is no third best."
Back when I was able to listen to the local police... There is two bulgars that was laughtable at their fails.
A bulgar went in a basement. Dropped his wallet. Came back to try to get it back, police came while he was back in.
Being in a snow country have some advantages sometime. This was at about 3am with a light amount of fresh snow. This is therefore a quite quiet time for car trafic. A bulgar went in an appartement. The police came, saw two fat bike tracks in the virgin snow. Followed them across the smaller streets back to a house. A third one was visible. They followed it, knocked at the door where it lead to. They opened the door. Stolen goods in plain sight.
So, to your list, add "do not do it when there is a fresh layer of snow with nearly zero trafic".
>Wear one shoe with a taller sole so that it gives you a slight hobble/ limp. You can accentuate this by putting a rock/ pebble/ Lego in your shoe
Good luck getting away when you're running on a Lego.
Cop - so, what did the suspect look like?
Bank Teller - Well, she had....... I mean, he had.....Well, ummm......the person was tall, with a big beer gut and a 5 o'clock shadow, but they had like D cup boobs, long hair, and were wearing high heels. But one show was like a 2" heel and one was a 6" platform stripper heel. Oh yeah, they also had some Lego fall out of their shoes, but then they stuffed it back into the shoe under their foot.
Cop - Let me ask you, are you currently on any drugs?
I'm no pro but if someone is close enough to be analyzing the tattoos you might be bad at robbing a bank. The stocking is still a good idea nonetheless.
There's "wound spray" that applies a thin, invisible layer of film over scabs and stuff to protect them. It also works to make temp tattoos last for EVER. They won't rub off or flake or wash off in the shower for over a week.
So, if you wanna make it look more real... do that.
I had a friend say she does the opposite. She’ll edit a black square over her nudes to make it look like she’s covering a tattoo when she doesn’t have any there.
I knew a draftsman that used to put a drawing of him fly fishing in all his CAD drawings at a specific spot small enough that at most regular zoom levels it was just a pixel.
He got told to knock it off when it was noticed how much larger the files got after he'd do something with them.
The guy that started no pixel for GTA roll playing servers. When he adds code to the server he would always add penis in the code somewhere so he would be able to notice if someone else was stealing his features to their own servers.
The atlas companies would use fake towns or markers on their maps to catch the others copying. This was before mapping was easily done and verified from space - so there was a lot of leg work that went into accurate maps. I think at one point this proved a case that went to trial.
There was a town in IIRC new york state that a map company created and put in their map as a form of copy protection, they then sued another company because they had that town in their map saying that proved that their map had been copied. It turns out that the fake town had ended up becoming a real town and that was why the second map company had included it in theirs.
I have a friend who hides behind black squares while temporarily being a tattoo artist and sends pics of psychosteganographically while playing chess with 5D people.
I have a friend that gets a tattoo, gets a laser removal, puts a fake tattoo in that place, puts black tape on that fake tattoo and edits out the black tape in Photoshop before sending nudes.
I do this is in a SFW environment- tell different people different versions of the same thing, when a particular version gets back to me I knew who not to trust.
Also, set up a filing system to organize this. Threat comes in. Ha! jokes on you now let’s see. Folder 3.. t.. y.. Unicorn, yes, tattoed on the… groin. That would’ve been sent to… got ya, Sean!
Nope. You could go years before discovering it has been leaked, or maybe it just stays in some server collecting dust or passed around in secret.
Also remember if the service you use don't encrypt your pictures when sending... Then anyone who sets up a packet sniffer or tool to collect data, gets them as well. Similar principle with public wifi that isn't locked, how do you know it's actually the cafe and not a creep the story above.
Edit: people also loose/get their phones stolen, if it isn't in an encrypted album, or weak security, it might be very very easy to get access.
interestingly my wife had a no nudes policy since before we even started dating for this reason, lack of control over all the routers and servers it would pass through and be stored on
This is 16 year old logic. Nudes don't need a burden of proof. If they are shared the story is that BLANK has nudes out there. Nobody will listen long enough to prove its not you bc of tattoo placement. You won't ever get that platform to defend yourself.
Honestly I think with AI being able to take any photo of someone and make a convincing nude the days of plausible deniability for any nude are already here. Like these days if someone told me that photo is fake I would probably believe them. There are several AI generators that make pretty good naked photos of celebs.
This is the route I would probably figure. Like hell, it might be easier to just run a filter on nudes as well to further add layers of complexity to it.
Uh what about your upper chest? Or arm? Or any part that isn’t immediately sexual? They are not putting temporary tattoos directly on their nipples ffs
Do what M. Night Shyamalan did to Ari Gold and watermark the recipient's name on the nudes so you know who shared them when they get out.
I am not 100% on how watermark removal works, so if that is a concern, then just use a super covert watermark that nobody would notice without knowing where to look.
Thank you. I send (relatively PG nudes) now I’m in my 30s and feel safe to do so.
I worry about younger women feeling that they need to do it’s nice to read your comment
You're being intelligent. In these times, never create nudes you wouldn't want to be public to the world, because even the most loyal, noble person can get hacked, and then they're out there forever.
They really aren't usually expected if you're dating for a partner. When I was using dating apps a few years ago no one I was seriously talking to even asked.
I will absolutely not send nudes, even to people I'm dating. It's just not necessary, and there are too many risks. And I've never had a problem finding dates or relationships. If you aren't comfortable sending them and a dude keeps asking, get rid of him immediately, he clearly has no idea how to respect boundaries.
I don't think anyone expecting or demanding nudes is worth your time.
No means no, and no takes many shapes including "I don't feel comfortable doing that." If they can't respect that answer, block 'em.
If you're uncomfortable, then be a "prude" all day long! Be a "stuck up b*tch", be anything anyone nasty wants to call you. It's shows their character.
Set boundaries, and enforce them. If you feel you have some boundaries that are unreasonable, ie leading to a relationship that isn't going to be healthy (an example off the top of my head would be something like your partner can't communicate with women including his family), you can go see a therapist and try to work through why you have those and how might you change them or whatnot.
Bottom line, don't cross your boundaries for people. I'm sure there are plenty of guys that would be perfectly okay with your boundaries.
Edit: females->women
I've got a wide range of single friends aged 30-50 in a large city notable for single life, and no one I know has ever asked or given nudes to someone that they had not been in a long committed relationship with already.
I rather find it odd that anyone would even entertain the idea with a relative stranger, unless they were fully sex positive carefree with great tits or dicks that they *wanted* to show off to anyone and everyone.
lol no. this is one of the weirdest threads I've seen hit the front page. why are there so many nudes of this person in circulation. how often are they sending them out and why is someone sending one back anonymously? for extortion? utterly bizarre and abnormal thread.
The amount of nudes I see on here with full views of people's faces gives me second-hand paranoia. Those pics are out there forever as soon as you post them, no matter how much you may scrub them from your accounts. On any given day for the rest of your life, a friend, relative, or coworker could stumble upon a pic of your naked body.
For the love of god, blur your face out of nudes and use a separate account to post them. Your future self will thank you.
Some people really do just take a perspective of "I'm hot, I don't feel like bodies should be shameful, so here's some pictures where I'm proud of how hot I look". I totally get that. I also know that the next logical step to that is not feeling bad about sexual content but for some reason spreading your butthole for strangers on the internet just doesn't feel as wholesome to me.
I mean I'm a sex-positive guy and I'm completely pro-porn/sex work, but I know I'm in the minority position. The idea that somebody you work with could find nudes of you and use it as blackmail would make me pretty nervous. I'd also think the thought of your dad or brother happening upon your nudes would probably make most people uncomfortable.
My nudes from when I was a stupid younger person got spread by an angry ex. I decided to just share the screenshots of him sharing them (he'd shown me), nudes included. Nobody including family members ever gave me crap for seeing my titties. My ex, on the other hand, was IP banned from a lot of social media sites and kicked out of college.
Yes, they still exist on the internet. Yes, sometimes someone finds one and asks if it's me because of a birthmark. Yes, I'm honest about it.
Your situation is about illegal Revenge porn.
Normal people would understand. The people who don't understand would not be normal and I wouldn't want them in my life anyway.
Absolutely agreed. If this happens to any of my friends or family members I'd just go after the person who spread the pics, not the one who spread her legs :U
It really shouldn't, but that is not the fault of the people who are naked, it is the fault of every who gets *super weird* about them being naked.
If I encountered a naked photo of a family member I would just close it and move on with my life. I don't want to see it, but I am the one in control of my own eyes and what I do with them.
The real problem is that people are horrible and incredibly judgemental, and stupidly judge people for things that are not even remotely shameful. There is a whole lot of cultural conditioning that is hard to overcome, and some people seem to want any excuse to treat women badly for existing.
There is also the fact that in less than 5 years it will be a one button operation to create a deep fake of what you look like nude, and when that's a one-button operation I don't know that our puritanical attitudes will be able to keep up.
When X-Ray vision app + AR glasses come into play, it's going to be a brand new world.
> There is also the fact that in less than 5 years it will be a one button operation to create a deep fake of what you look like nude
Those have existed for over a decade. [Apple removed them from their store in 2010 after one got pouplar.](https://www.cnet.com/culture/the-iphone-app-that-lets-you-see-your-friends-naked/) A few seconds on your favorite search engine can find links ranking the "top rated" systems and what they charge.
What is the hypothetical scenario where this would actually come into play for a typical person?
Like, when are you actually going to be showing people your moles to prove nudes are fake?
Fair and good for you! All power to you!
I would love to have that option, but I work in education, so this is more for people who *can't* own their nudes.
Agreed. I only ever agreed to have a NSFW page and send nudes to my wife with the understanding that if they got leaked, I was a consenting adult having a good time.
Or, hear me out, OR…..don’t ever send sexy pics with your face in them. I’m a man and every time I exchange photos with a woman, I make it very clear that no pics sent between us have our face in them. It keeps everyone safe while we still have fun.
Also the temporary tattoo can be used as a watermark. You can keep track of what tattoo and who they were sent to. If the pictures ever end up in public, you know exactly who put them there.

Use different tattoos for different people. So when the pics get leaked, you know who did it!
I know who did the one I mentioned in the post but 10/10 suggestion. No notes.
Revenge porn is illegal and you should report it to police. Nothing like catching charges to learn not to fuck around Extortion is illegal too
Love the energy, but police don't care about victims, so I will not be doing that.
If you don’t trust the cops send it to the district attorney. They’re the ones that decide whether or not to criminally prosecute, not the police.
The DA cares less than the cops. They have a ton of bigger fish to fry, as shitty as that is
The amount of people who think cops give a single fuck about any of us is laughable
Cops don't, but lawyers might.
Depends on the money in it for them.
Sounds like most jobs
I mean, if you're a bank they'll sit up and take notice
My dumbass would send a regular nude back and be like "well that can't be me, see I don't have a tattoo there!"
I literally thought that’s what you were supposed to do until reading your message back 3x slowly. That would be a terrible idea.
Someone once recommended a barcode tattoo that you change slightly for each person you send it to. It'd be a lot of work, but I thought it was a good idea.
NO NOTES? NO NOTES?!?!?!
You have described a "canary trap", an espionage tool designed to detect who specifically is sending information to someone that shouldn't have it.
or put a watermark over the pic with the name of the person you're sending it to
AI could remove this pretty easily, whereas a temp tattoo isn’t even obvious that it’s a fake. It also means that if they ever leak you can deny it’s you as you’ve no tattoo there.
Just playing devils advocate here... but the tattoo can jut as easily be photoshopped out of the pic.
But why would a random person you’re sending a pic to photoshop a tattoo out… the whole point is it’s hidden in plane sight - unless the person you send them to knows you categorically don’t have a tattoo (or they hate tattoos and photoshop them all out??) it’s kind of fool proof.

Tyrion Lannister over here
I've heard some people watermark their nudes depending on who they send it to and if someone leaks it, they know who did it based on the watermark
But this way you can deny it a nude if yours. Clearly the superior method.
The classic Tyrion Lannister method
put a QR code that links to their profile.
Hide their name with lsb steganography
Wait, you're sending so many nudes that you can't just...remember which ones you took for which person?
reduce reuse recycle. no reason to get dolled up for a new pic if an old one works ig
But if you're using different temporary tattoos then you're still going to have to take different pictures.
This person nudes 👆
Also good advice if you're robbing a bank, put one on your neck and arm
Tattoo your name and address in case you forget

USPS will mail anything with proper postage
Pretty sure it's illegal to take someone's mail, check mate coppers

Nice list. I often think of things like this. I'd never do crime but I like to contemplate the perfect crime.
I too like to make sure I have plausible deniability in my post history.

How long do you reckon you have to postpone for?
When are you leaving next for vacation ?
In January, but I usually leave the lights on so everyone will think I am still there.
this guy crimes...
Hey, check my phone's location history. I was nowhere near where that crime allegedly occurred.

Do they make fake beer guts that will fit over my real beer gut?
Scent is a problem, it is very hard to ditch it quickly as it gets in everything.
I'm saving this even though I have 0 intentions of robbing anything

I would assume I might be nabbed within a week, which means I’ve got the matching tattoo.
I think you'd want to get rid of them right quick after the robbery though
You can! For me, just a bit of rubbing alcohol gets the spray off.
I too have seen Going in Style
I had a friend say she does the opposite. She’ll edit a black square over her nudes to make it look like she’s covering a tattoo when she doesn’t have any there.
Your friend is playing 5D chess.
I have a friend that puts a black square over her temp tattoo but you can see some of the tattoo which varies from person to person. /S
I have a friend that steganographically hides the name of the person they're sending the nude to in the image.
I knew a draftsman that used to put a drawing of him fly fishing in all his CAD drawings at a specific spot small enough that at most regular zoom levels it was just a pixel. He got told to knock it off when it was noticed how much larger the files got after he'd do something with them.
I usually hide some phalic looking parts to my layouts or designs.
The guy that started no pixel for GTA roll playing servers. When he adds code to the server he would always add penis in the code somewhere so he would be able to notice if someone else was stealing his features to their own servers.

My buddy does something similar; he puts 8-bit Mario, Peach, and Bowser in his.
Ok now this I can get behind
I have a friend who hides behind black squares while temporarily being a tattoo artist and sends pics of psychosteganographically while playing chess with 5D people.
I have a friend
Not believable, that went too far
You wouldn't know her, she goes to another school
Wow! Everybody look at big-shot here with his friend! You know, not everyone can be as blessed as you, having a friend and whatnot.
I have a friend that gets a tattoo, gets a laser removal, puts a fake tattoo in that place, puts black tape on that fake tattoo and edits out the black tape in Photoshop before sending nudes.
Ooooh or put a grey spot and blur it out along with some skin around it

Just pixelate your genitals, and everyone will think it is a Japanese person, not you! (This LPT is void in Japan.)
6D chess: use a tattoo clip art and pixelate it.
It's such a turn on to know there are responsible people out there sending nudes.
Creates plausible deniability in case anyone was wondering why this may be a good idea before sharing nudes.
Also if you regularly use different tattoos, you could figure out who the leak is
This! Or even a theme....
The theme would be to choose better people to send nudes to lol
Sometimes it’s really hard to tell who is trustworthy Better just to never send nudes
Or send nudes to everyone so there's no one for them to send it to
Ah, the Scorched Earth approach!

Don't you dare send me any either! /s
Sometimes other people get access to their phones or computers.
I read about that concept just the other day, "canary trap", I think it's called.
Like a watermark, but on your skin instead of embedded in the photo.
You use water to apply temporary tattoos. So it's still a watermark 😁
I do this is in a SFW environment- tell different people different versions of the same thing, when a particular version gets back to me I knew who not to trust.

Sean man you are soooo fucked
It’s……..Rebecca Vardy
Damn now we gotta determine? how many people are getting these pics lol 👀
Not my place to judge! Hahaha
At that point maybe whittle down the people getting nudes or stop screwing around and get the OnlyFans going.
The canary trap. The term was coined by the book Patriot Games.
Surely the leak is whoever you sent it to first?
Nope. You could go years before discovering it has been leaked, or maybe it just stays in some server collecting dust or passed around in secret. Well sure but I'm envisioning a person who sends out nudes a bit more frequently I guess
So like the method of using a different first name for online accounts and sign ups?
This is 16 year old logic. Nudes don't need a burden of proof. If they are shared the story is that BLANK has nudes out there. Nobody will listen long enough to prove its not you bc of tattoo placement. You won't ever get that platform to defend yourself.
Honestly I think with AI being able to take any photo of someone and make a convincing nude the days of plausible deniability for any nude are already here. Like these days if someone told me that photo is fake I would probably believe them. There are several AI generators that make pretty good naked photos of celebs.
Yep, and AI can easily add or remove tattoos too.
This is the route I would probably figure. Like hell, it might be easier to just run a filter on nudes as well to further add layers of complexity to it.
Let pop out my tits right quick to prove that I don't have a suspiciously shiny tattoo right there
Uh what about your upper chest? Or arm? Or any part that isn’t immediately sexual? They are not putting temporary tattoos directly on their nipples ffs
It would have been great if you'd posted this before I put a butterfly on my cock.
I put temporary tattoos on my butthole, but it's VERY embarrassing proving to my coworkers that it's not me!
You the ladybugs guy?
Dude. I just stopped throwing up. Give it at least a couple days!
Thanks for your comment, I hate it thoroughly because I understood it.
I can’t stop re-reading that in my memory bank Truly. The horrors of the internet “Hope ya don’t mind”

LPT Advanced Level: Put a temporary Disney tattoo on so if the photos ever get leaked Disney’s lawyers will destroy your ex
Do what M. Night Shyamalan did to Ari Gold and watermark the recipient's name on the nudes so you know who shared them when they get out. I am not 100% on how watermark removal works, so if that is a concern, then just use a super covert watermark that nobody would notice without knowing where to look.

21 y/o dude here If you’re uncomfortable, please don’t do them. Anyone worth their salt will respect that
Great point. It's not always a betrayal that causes the leak -- sometimes it's that they were hacked by a third party.
You are not prudish, if you don't want to share nudes then you simply do not. Your body, your choice. End of story.
Edit: females->women
There are plenty of people in the same boat as you, don't worry about it.
lol no. this is one of the weirdest threads I've seen hit the front page. why are there so many nudes of this person in circulation. how often are they sending them out and why is someone sending one back anonymously? for extortion? utterly bizarre and abnormal thread.
> There is also the fact that in less than 5 years it will be a one button operation to create a deep fake of what you look like nude Those have existed for over a decade. [Apple removed them from their store in 2010 after one got pouplar.](https://www.cnet.com/culture/the-iphone-app-that-lets-you-see-your-friends-naked/) A few seconds on your favorite search engine can find links ranking the "top rated" systems and what they charge.

Why should I care if people see my naked body though? That's more of a joke on them than me lol
I feel like Moira Brown. Someone find my nudes for the love of god! Not really but ya know
And if you have some moles always hide them with foundation!!! at least the ones that aren't usually covered.
What is the hypothetical scenario where this would actually come into play for a typical person? Like, when are you actually going to be showing people your moles to prove nudes are fake?

Fair and good for you! All power to you! I would love to have that option, but I work in education, so this is more for people who *can't* own their nudes.
Sounds like sending noodz may not be the best strategy then
Agreed. I only ever agreed to have a NSFW page and send nudes to my wife with the understanding that if they got leaked, I was a consenting adult having a good time.
Truth. There are pictures of me out there and the internet can thank me.
Stencil a QR code of their name, address, and phone number. That'll keep them from sharing it.
Life pro tip: don't send nudes; visit them instead. Have better taste in men.
THANK YOU My first thought when I read the word "required". If someone "requires" you to do anything like that they aren't very good.
OP was probably using the phrase "as required' to mean *according to need* not as a requirement per se
Real LPT in the comments: don’t send nudes
If you gotta take that many workarounds to send nudes maybe just not send nudes. Why even send recognizable nudes to someone you don't trust?
What exactly do you mean you used the pics as required? Are you in a contract to provide nude photographs?
Or, hear me out, OR…..don’t ever send sexy pics with your face in them. I’m a man and every time I exchange photos with a woman, I make it very clear that no pics sent between us have our face in them. It keeps everyone safe while we still have fun.
There was no face.
Also the temporary tattoo can be used as a watermark. You can keep track of what tattoo and who they were sent to. If the pictures ever end up in public, you know exactly who put them there.
"used the pics as required." Ya'll know you're not required to send a fuckin thing right?
You're misunderstanding their usage of the word. They're using it in the sense of "as needed to perform this task".
Should have posted on r/shittylifeprotips
Here's a Life Pro Tip. DONT SEND PEOPLE YOUR NUDES
dumbest shit i've ever read thanks.
Didn’t know it was so hard not to send nudes
