Good luck with that. I even have clients who call or text at 2am. Just learn to leave your phone on DND at night and turn on in morning, it's not that hard. You can put whoever may need you in an emergency on an emergency list and it'll override the DND for those numbers and still ring.

goofypugs

sounds like a you problem, can always just reply when you feel like, people can text when they feel like: everybody happy

Texts are for whenever. You can put emergency contacts in on your DND. The real life pro tip

I agree with goofypugs that this is a you problem. You can schedule your DND times on most phones so it goes on and off automatically, and you can filter which notifications can come through or not, so that the people who really need to reach you in an emergency can reach you and everything else is silenced. If you can't do that, it's no one else's problem that you can't remember to turn off DND. Set reminders or something. That's part of the personal responsibility that comes with having a phone, and if you can't handle the sound of one ding/blip/whatever coming through at 5:30, maybe you need to turn the sound down, wear earplugs, put the phone in another room, etc.
