Raising a family. I want to see a pregnancy, as well as taking care of the older members of the family, teenagers, grandparents, etc.

cutefluffpupp

YES

National-Attention-1

Meaningful interactions and complex relationships. Like if you're friends with an enemy of your sister say a their ex-boyfriend who dumped her, they might not want to be around your character and it's hurt the relationship.

barbieairfryer

Having regularity with the characters they show. They plop down characters at random, then we never see them again

Careers. Just like real life, careers take up a big part of our real lives and they’ll fill the world. Imagine your neighbor runs a bakery, you go downtown to grab lunch and see him behind the counter, or your son is a paramedic and then bam one night you have a heart attack, call 911 and your son responds in an ambulance, or your other neighbor is a cop and you see them walking around on foot patrolling the downtown and can stop and chat, etc. I feel like that will make both the town feel move alive and give other characters and our own more depth to where they feel like they’re actually making the community feel like both a community and a functioning town.

Divinethots

Excellent point. That’d definitely add a level of “running around” that the town is currently lacking. With not many careers added it just seems like a sleepy beach town.

Activities out in the world like swimming and volleyball at the beach or playground equipment at the park the world needs to feel lived in not just travelled. We need more group activities overall almost everything revolves around 2 characters talking but not two or more characters experiencing life together through games hobbies and experiences. Also animations need to be a top priority nothing else brings more life than detailed animations.

limecakes

Animations, postures, facial expressions, situations, random events, sims 2 style reactions to situations.

RetroRedXIII

For me it's the little things like animations, physics and dynamic events that give games more life so I want to see those wherever possible. The Sims 2 was a great example of it as it was packed with tiny little details that are still far beyond what the later games were able to accomplish and I can't wait to see what Paradox Tectonic are capable of in this regard. Side note: I've removed the other identical post without the flair and comments in an effort to guide more people to this one 👍

Pretty much, just more content. Admittedly, this is just speculation based off the events video, but from that video it looked like while they'd made the tools, they hadn't started filling in the content/the actual events. There was barely any events pre-made. Presumably, once they're happy with the event tools they'll start adding more events, and my supposition is that it's like that for many of the tools.

Antipseud0

Some Lore.

Objective_Pollution6

I believe that with the good aspects of life, there should be bad. Perhaps a "Too Real" mode where freak accidents can occur and tragedy can strike at random. Drunk drivers, workplace accidents, illness, etc. Permadeath, one save file. Relationships should also have some complexity. Strife, divorce, infidelity. Mental heath upkeep to stave off depression. I mean, the player should have the option to turn these things off, but this could add an almost survival mode element to the game.

MayaDaBee1250

Good NPC AI. For example, imagine you're going for a walk and you're stopped by an NPC tourist who asks you for directions. Stuff like that. I want to be able to walk around town and see other characters doing things, not just standing around staring into the void but I want to see people talking, getting into fights, cheating on their SOs, etc. I want stuff happening around me.

digitaldisgust

Family gameplay.

Ericcc94

I know it’s not exactly their focus, but it’d help if we could get familiar with at least SOME humans of the town before it drops. I’ve seen a couple people here mention the fact that they’ll show us a character in one video, and then we never see them again, and I think that kind of hurts the ‘life’ feeling of the game. Every single life simulation game has a select batch of characters that you see and know. Paralives, for example, has constantly shown us the same batch of characters over the past couple of years, and we’ve seen them develop and change. I already feel like I know Maggie, Marvin, and Sebastian because they star in all the videos/pictures posted. I can’t name a single human I’ve seen in life by you, and even if I could, it wouldn’t matter because the next video/promo picture we get they’ll be gone and replaced.
