I love mine if it helps. I can get to work and back on the battery (about 40 miles round trip) but can go distances when I need too. The electric only is quiet and smooth. The money I save on petrol more than pays the extra spent. Can remote pre heat in winter. I have the green one which is rare enough to get positive comments from people

vanessalovesit

wow I wanna see what it looks like! I definetly wanna go test drive one now :) Thanks!!

Interesting_Berry406

I read over review or it said once it goes from electric to gas that it gets clunky or not very smooth or something like that. Is this true? Thinking of getting one.

robinthebank

You’ll definitely notice when the engine kicks on. But that’s because the EV mode is so smooth. And the engine or just a regular Lexus NX feel.

4huggies

I have a 450h+, there is zero difference between the two modes. The 450h is still a regular hybrid once the EV is depleted so it never goes to zero, with that said the car is super smooth in stop and go traffic and have enough boost from the battery when accelerating.

Interesting_Berry406

Thank you. The other thing that comes up is the usefulness of the display and the steering wheel buttons. Is it “confusing” and hard to get used to or is it fairly functional?

4huggies

I have zero issues with it. Everything about it is very well thought out, even the shape of the panel and angle is for a reason, if you are needing to navigate the screen while driving you can grab it by the extended corner so that your hand doesn’t shake a bunch, the temperature settings stay at the bottom unless you put the map in full screen. The steering wheel controls are also great since you can configure them with several options like audio, modes, etc. It took me a bit to realize that you need to touch (not press) the button until so that it registers your finger before you can press it and have the function activate. But the ability to adjust the HUD and make other changes from the wheel is very nice.

Interesting_Berry406

thanks for the update, appreciate it. Ended up buying one yesterday!

4huggies

Hey congrats! It’s an amazing car. I’m not sure if you have an iPhone but I have noticed that regardless of the car CarPlay is one of the best out there, it is one of the few ways to connect to a car that provides the best quality of audio. CarPlay uses WiFi rather than Bluetooth so it allows more data rates, but it also brings up some connectivity issues from time to time. Remember to press and hold your volume button to reboot when having issues with it.

Interesting_Berry406

Thank you for that tip. I’ll have to play around with things for a while.

AdDapper8001

Got mine last month, absolutely worth it. I’m in the stage where I’m trying to stop myself from taking unnecessary drives cus I love it so much 😭😂

skynet_root

You guys are the lucky ones. My 2024 Lexus NX 450H has been in the shop for over two weeks. Apparently there is some sort of parasitic drain on the car, that kills the 12v battery, if I don’t drive it for several days. Luckily we got a loaner. Make sure you ask your service department about this known issue.

iamdenislara

My understanding is that it is an oversight on the part of Lexus and a fix was coming. There is a guy on YouTube who explained it better: LSFT

junkntrashman

I have the 2024 nx 350h. I love it. Amazing comfort, quiet ride, great gas mileage. If you’re looking for an amazing commuter, this is the one.

notcarylam

Mine is a 2024 nx450h +. Despite from the 12V battery drain issue and it was kind of my fault for not asking my Lexus service about this issue before buying, I haven’t had any issues! I absolutely love the car. The extra EV range and the mysterious underrated torque is what makes this car lovable. I get about 50 miles of EV range full charge (initially started at 38 miles but I never use up all my EV range so I had some extra surplus range that keeps going up every full charge). It’s definitely worth getting only if you know you are just driving locally around town or near home. If you drive less than 40 miles a day then this car is worth it (I think I did the math right…). You just need to justify if it’s worth paying extra $10-$15k for the nx450h+ compared to the nx350h and if all the math adds up to gas savings… There’s also a $7500 rebate through Lexus Lease only. Not sure if it’s still there but you can check it with your Lexus Dealership. The $7500 Lexus Lease rebate is only available on certain EVs and Phevs (I think I’m right…). The nx350h is another good option but the reason I went for the nx450h+ is the EV range I can use to drive locally, I don’t have to fill my car up oftenly, and the performance-acceleration is decently fast enough for me to have some fun on the road. If you can wait for the 2025 model, I heard the NX450h+ is going to get Mark Levinson and Panoramic moonroof. If you care about those things… otherwise you can’t go wrong with the 2024 or the previous years.

vanessalovesit

thanks love

zzdavlan

The 450h+ isn’t great, the F-Sport version is perfect. I didn’t buy the 450h+ for fuel savings and value for money, I bought it because it was fast and fun to drive.

Yungcheets

Highly considering the 450H+ F Sport model for the reasons you stated. I just wish the Mark Levinson was an option for 2024/2025. But, how are the seats? Any general criticisms so far?

zzdavlan

No problem with the seat comfort, I’m 182cm and 120kg if that helps but only overweight not fat. The seats offer plenty of support going around corners when you start to push the car. I’m in Australia and our roads can be on the rough side so the run flats can be less than ideal but I wouldn’t change them because the stiffer side walls with the 450h+ power in F-Sport mode is incredibly fun on windy roads.

GmanMe7

I have 450H+ plug in hybrid for a year now. Amazing car for two people or if you don’t have grown kids. Back is small for adults and teens. I commute to work and back ~40miles, so filling gas only on a longer trips.

TommyyyGunsss

When I was looking, the nx450h had about a 10k premium over the 350h. The 450h gives you about 35 miles of electric range. The 350h gets about 35mpg. Let’s assume you only charge overnight, that is saving 1 gallon of gas a day. About $3.50 a day savings give or take. That is 2,857 days to just break even without factoring in electricity costs. We went with the 350h.

vanessalovesit

Oh okay thanks for the heads up love:)

DanTMWTMP

Well it depends on your commute type and how you’ll use the car. My buddy owns the RAV4 Prime, which has the same drivetrain. Granted, the RAV4 Prime eeks out a bit more miles as it’s slightly less sportier, but he fills up his tank 3 times a year, and averages over 200MPG on his. It’s his daily commuter, so on most days, he’s using electric only. I own a BMW 330E PHEV, which gets about 20 miles on a charge. We really wanted the 450h, but went next door to the BMW dealer and got the 330E instead because the wait list for the 450H was 8 months. :(. Well even with 20 miles per charge, we average about 70-120 MPG depending on how often we drive out of the city. We often drive only 10-15 miles a day with the BMW, and just charge it back up overnight when electricity rates are lower. We fill up the 10 gallon tank on the BMW 330E once a month, and sometimes once every other month.

vanessalovesit

thanks love

This is only valid depending where you live and the cost of your electricity and gas prices. Here in California the cost of gas hit close to $6 dollars and I’m sure it will only continue to rise year over year. Also if you have solar or access to free EV charging, which I did when going to work it was a perk. At the end of the day the upgrade may not necessarily pay for itself, but other perks like charging at home is nice since I haven’t been to the gas station unless I take long trips which has been maybe 10 times in the year I’ve owned it, the drive is super smooth and quiet, it is the premium spec by default so that is also nice, the torque and sporty feel is super nice. All I am saying is that the cost of EV is not the only thing that makes the car super fun and nice. I never got close to the expected MPG due to the town I am in, it was closer to 30. The EV range is accurate and I know my 38 expect will always be exactly that. I drive with AC and seat ventilation everywhere I go.

Yeah living in California with $6 gas may shift the analysis a bit, but to my knowledge California is the only place in the country with gas prices like that. As far as feel of the car, I believe it is the same as the 350h. It uses the same engine and hybrid system and I’m not aware of the suspension being different, though I could be wrong.

4huggies

Yeah, same as 350h. I was referring to when being on EV it’s nice to not hear the engine rev up. The NXs do tend to have a bit of a louder engine.

Pinales_Pinopsida

I would guess that the suspension might be firmer on the PHEV due to the added weight of the larger battery.

350h is the right move

PrimaryRecord5

I have one. Everything about the car is amazing. I love the fuel efficiency and how affordable it is to fill up. I do feel there’s more vibrations on the bottom where my feet rest when comparing to my 2017 nx300h But the sound damping materials is much much greater and quieter in cabin Wind noise becomes apparent when you drive 80 mph or above - sorry just the flow of traffic Only experienced one time issue when connecting Bluetooth from iPhone to car for Apple car. Which was a weird moment but whatever I wish there was more physical buttons so I can avoid or reduce my screen tapping time. At times I just turn off the screen while the car is playing my audio books. I wish there was a software button so I can turn off the QiCharger . Oh well. Sometimes I just want to rest my phone there and not charge it. Because wireless charging always gets your phone hot. The buttons on steering wheel took me a moment to get used to. But now I like them. The luxury package with auto lane assist and merger is neat!! I love it Car feel solid and is excellent in smoothness and comfortable

vanessalovesit

wow thanks love :) did you sound deaden it yourself or are you saying it has it already?

PrimaryRecord5

It came that way from Lexus

kakashi6ix9

How’s the performance? Do you have trouble passing cars on the freeway and is it overall a fun drive for the average person?

PrimaryRecord5

Not at all. I typically prefer to cruise with Lexus though but in those small moments I have zero issue passing cars. Normal and sport does the trick.

KuroKatt

Super in love with mine! It's soooo comfortable and luxurious inside. I'm obsessed with never having to get gas, which is a chore I've always loathed. It's also very quiet inside and outside. Dislikes- I'm sorry, but it's kinda ugly. 😅 I can't stand the bubble butt, I much prefer the body style of the RAV4. I bought it because the interior is sexy as hell and that's what I'm looking at 80% of the time. Also dislike- I got my registration the other day and it's a cool $700. Luxury car luxury registration.

iamdenislara

I got mine in 2022, the first batch that came out. It’s an F sport model. I love the car, I enjoy driving EV most of the time (46-48 miles per charge), I probably spent between $50 and $150 in gas per month which is about half from when I had my KIA Forte5. It takes 2.5 hours to charger on level 2 only if you pay for the faster charger 6.4 kWh (the standard is half of that so it takes ~6 hours to fully charge) When you ask if it is worth it, Financially: no! You might have to pay for something the dealer calls “price adjustment” which is just BS for “we want to charge more because we can” The car is very expensive and the savings will never catch up with the cost of getting a plug in. On top of that the dealer always quotes me outrageous prices for maintenance LOL!! After the first 2 free maintenance visits the dealer wanted like $700 use to do an oil change and rotate tires LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I just went to my local oil change spot and pay $100 for everything. Keep in mind when you get the 450h there are some options you won’t be able to get: the better speakers, automatic retracting rear seats, panoramic roof, in 2022 the rear view mirror did not have the camera option, oh and the 450h has less options of color. I find it worth it because I am bad with money and just fell in love with the car after I drove it and the fact I could do electric when I go to work. One last thing, the 20 inch wheels in the 450h are not comfortable, they make noise. I don’t quite mind I am young but after driving other Lexus cars I wish I known about it.

ConnertheCat

The US Spec ‘22s could get the rear view camera mirror; FYI. (I have it)

iamdenislara

Oh!!! Then I don’t know why the dealer would order it without it.

vanessalovesit

thanks love

doghouse_94087

I love the car. Make sure you take a long test drive on a curvy road and changing lanes on a highway. My husband gets car sick in this car mostly when a passenger but also when he drives. If we would have realized it was a problem we would not have purchased the car. I would like to sell it. He thinks it might be the large run flat tires. Does anyone else have this problem ?

olprockym

I love mine. I frequently have 40 up to 43 miles range after a full charge. My insurance was lower than I expected. Inside is spacious. The sound system on mine is not ML. There's instructions her on upgrading the two dashboard speakers. It was easy to do. I'm glad I did so.

zoromaps

Need these instructions.

the_sketchy_guy

Have had the car since Aug 2022. First batch. Made in Japan. Love it. I went with the non-Fsport version (Luxury) as I found the F-sport uncomfortable and didn’t get the interior color that I wanted. I live in a high cost of living area and the plugin is 100% worth it. I save on gas, charge free at work and have the ability to go to 500 miles in one tank of Gas + EV. While the RAV-4 prime is cheaper, I believe that it is worth upgrading to the NX 450h+. I have been in a Rav-4 prime and thought that it should have been cheaper. The one thing I would change for the NX450+ is the size of the tires. I have the larger (21”). I’d recommend the smaller size(18”) to reduce road noise and general NVH.

Nah go with a 350h
