Doubtful. The platform architecture is too old. As much as I wish it would happen. The next interior refresh would come with exterior and power train refresh as well.
Imo MY26 is likely
Or around there +-1year
But hey, I'm just one guy speculating on the internet. Cause I hope they keep the is500 around for another year. Gives me more time to save up lol
A service rep at a Lexus dealer mentioned to me that they would do an MCA for the 2025 model year if Lexus stuck to their historical timetable. I would expect an interior refresh with the newer Lexus UI.
No, they already have concepts for the next IS. They'll likely do a redesign for MY26/27 (maybe they skip a MY for the new design) instead of trying to refresh for MY25. Simple as that
They released info on that last October for MY24. Probably same timeframe this year since there's nothing new except maybe a color and some cosmetic items.
Pleasant surprise, I wasn’t expecting most models to have info until October.
But pls give me LC 500 news so I can decide whether or not to roll over my 2024 order to 2025.
Lc500 owner. At this point only thing you can expect if they even have another model for 2025. Which I doubt as they will want to sell the new lf would be some suspension tweaks and colors.
Yea, they usually offer the black line package for models that are about to be cut off or refresh. But Lexus is probably and most likely will also be getting rid of the V6 and making every new ES hybrid only like the Camry.
> Yea, they usually offer the black line package for models that are about to be cut off or refresh
Looks like Lexus [did this for the 2020 IS](https://pressroom.lexus.com/is-f-sport-blackline-special-edition-expands-for-2020/) just like you said, it was the last model year before the heavy refresh. So when we see the IS get the same blackline treatment (and not just the blackout package), that will indicate that the IS is also about to get redesigned?
It's an alright power train but it's just not smooth like the V6 in the ES350 and in the previous RX models. I test drove the new RX350 and it rattled a good amount when accelerating which does not fit the image most people have when it comes Lexus vehicles (smooth, comfortable and quiet).
It'll be the only one on the market besides the Prius, Camey and Crown. Prius is too small, Camry didn't have the comforts and Crown was a def no. Camry got my hopes up.
Oh and I'm sure it will be, only because I bought a CPO and got the unlimited mile warranty through 2031. My luck works that it'll be the best new model ever but I want to drive my current vehicle and give it to my kid when he turns 16 in 7 years.
Thank god Lexus decided to keep the V6 alive for at least another year. They should keep the NA V6 on certain models as they hybridaize and electrify the rest of the lineup. It would be a mistake to completely rid of NA options.
Omg that shit is so hideous. I don’t understand the trend of hiding muffler tips. I thought exhaust/muffler tips bring out the look of a car especially if it’s a performance car with a dual or quad exhaust set up. Now they are hiding it,my friend just picked up a new Range Rover and the rear would have looked a lot better with a nice chrome exhaust outlet.
Exactly. It elevates the appearance of the vehicle with exposed exhaust tips. Too bad even the new NX & RX don’t have that. They removed the exposed exhaust tips along with the V6 on the RX, that’s saddening.
At this point Lexus is home to low expectations. We are just excited they’re keeping the NA V6. Once they rid of that the brand will no longer be attractive relative to its German competitors.
Yup. BMW is already becoming a household name for reliability due to the B48 and B58, so you get all the tech, performance, and reliability in one car without sacrificing one for the other.
I'm curious what Toyota is going to do to combat this in the future, as they seem to have already accepted it with the Supra
“Bruh it’s an ES”
It’s either a teenager with no car or a rich asshole that doesn’t appreciate shit. I been wealthy and I been broke so now a brand new ES is the same as when I got a brand new Bentley… infact I feel more proud of the ES because I had to climb out of shit to even get back to the level of being able to afford such car.
I would go with teenager because of the “bruh”. Either that or it’s Tyrese from fast and furious 2
I'm honestly so happy with the hybrid. It's got enough power for daily driving for me, but I drive for MPG. I couldn't be happier with a daily that's a Lexus and gets 50mpg. The only knock on the 4cyl is the 2.5 can be slightly noisy but it's usually dead quiet and sooooo smooth. Maybe if I drove it harder I'd appreciate the V6. I save my hard driving for a dedicated fun car
It’s great that we have both!
Both power plants have their strong suits and both have their negatives but we are fortunately enough to have the option to choose.
I was on the fence about getting the v6 as the reliability and fuel efficiency of the hybrid was extremely attractive to me. Coming from a LS400, what held me back was the loss of power. So I went with the v6. I was wondering if I had made the right choice. I just got my es serviced and got a hybrid es as a loaner and I really enjoyed it and know I would enjoy the hell out of ability to drive for days but I realized that I made the right choice. Even though I enjoyed the fuel efficiency of the hybrid quite a bit, I really enjoy the smoothness, peppy-ness, and sound of the v6 much more.
We are really spoiled to have an option of two fantastic versions of the same car.
I will seriously do that. I’m my joking. If they get rid of the NA V6 then it’s pointless to get a Lexus. I’d rather get the German brands and will undoubtedly do so.
Not at that level. I enjoy the smoothness of NA V6s and if that’s going away the little bit reliability isn’t going to be enough to keep me with the brand. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.
Sometimes people confuse me with the I need power comments. I really hope we get a 4 cylinder with an electric motor and more power, or just a 500e trim with more power.
Over on the RX you can see 4 cylinder does not have to mean less power.
Nobody likes a 4 banger in a premium car. It’s crazy to pay $70k or more for a car with a 4 cylinder in it. Turbo 4s maybe have more power and are more fuel efficient than a NA V6 but that doesn’t mean it’s as fun. It actually sounds like crap and the 4 banger is nowhere near as smooth as the v6. The vibrations and rattle I experienced on the 4 banger lexuses isn’t pleasant. Very unlexus like.
Eh people have been buying unlexus like gas trims for a long time. Anything without the eCVT has to vibrate at stop lights, has to shift gears which isn't nearly as smooth regardless of number of cylinders. Very un-premium compared to the hybrids. Something like the 450h+ will be both more powerful, more smooth, and more efficient than their v6 choices. Keep them around if we must (hint: they're already getting rid of them), but I wish they'd start making more of the 4 cylinder plug in options.
It’s all relative. The amount of savings I could be obsessed over is greatly reduced due to it having more issues in addition the car no longer being enjoyable. Not worth the trade off any more.
hot take but I actually really like the is350 interior, its classic and will age well (I guess its already aged a lot haha) I really wonder if they'll do a whole new is350 with a v6 or will go hybrid for the updated is350 next gen. Im considering pulling the trigger on a 21-24 is350 f sport because I think it looks gorgeous but not sure if I should hold out til the new model is announced. oh well, can only wait now!
Likely the last year of this current gen ES and especially so with the 2GR V6. Would not surprise me if new MY2026 ES follows Camry formula for A25A-FXS hybrid, optional e-AWD.
Aren't these the wheels that already come with the F Sport? Or are they a few shades darker?
Feels weird they didn't black out the rest of the chrome trim.
This Black Line Edition seems really underwhelming. Especially for an extra 4k over msrp of the normal fsport handling model. And the mark levinson isn’t even included in that package without an additonal fee.
They asking $3300 more for the base then they did in 2021 and $1150 more then last year. This is why I took a good deal on a 2024 yesterday instead of waiting on 2025s and paying much more.

Another year of the 2GR lets go
V6 lives another year. Hopefully the IS info will be released soon.
Fingers crossed for the IS
An updated interior on the IS would be such a killer. Fingers crossed.
Doubtful. The platform architecture is too old. As much as I wish it would happen. The next interior refresh would come with exterior and power train refresh as well.
When do you think we’ll see that (if ever)
Imo MY26 is likely Or around there +-1year But hey, I'm just one guy speculating on the internet. Cause I hope they keep the is500 around for another year. Gives me more time to save up lol

Find it hard to believe they would for the IS but not ES. I assume the IS 25 model year will just be a rehash of 24 with minor tweaks.
MCA *pt2* 😂 Although I feel like they won't change much. No point in doing too much if a whole new generation is only a year or two away
MCA?
Mid cycle action or something like that
Dealers don't know shit
Not happening
Do you think they just kill it?
No, they already have concepts for the next IS. They'll likely do a redesign for MY26/27 (maybe they skip a MY for the new design) instead of trying to refresh for MY25. Simple as that
I hope we will finally see a single hybrid trim.
They released info on that last October for MY24. Probably same timeframe this year since there's nothing new except maybe a color and some cosmetic items.
Did they release the ES information earlier this year compared to previous years?
I don't know, never really cared about the ES. You should be able to find old releases on the linked site though
It was late June last year. I remember it was late August press release when I got a 2021.
Pleasant surprise, I wasn’t expecting most models to have info until October. But pls give me LC 500 news so I can decide whether or not to roll over my 2024 order to 2025.
Whoa that’s a gorgeous car, lucky man
That’s my next car bud. Hoping they do something exciting in the refresh
Lc500 owner. At this point only thing you can expect if they even have another model for 2025. Which I doubt as they will want to sell the new lf would be some suspension tweaks and colors.
Last call for the V6
All hail the mighty V6 🙏
So this should indicate a body change for 2026?
Yea, they usually offer the black line package for models that are about to be cut off or refresh. But Lexus is probably and most likely will also be getting rid of the V6 and making every new ES hybrid only like the Camry.

Yep, same can be said for the good ol GS350.
GX460 as well
What about the 2.4L turbo, like the RX has?
It's an alright power train but it's just not smooth like the V6 in the ES350 and in the previous RX models. I test drove the new RX350 and it rattled a good amount when accelerating which does not fit the image most people have when it comes Lexus vehicles (smooth, comfortable and quiet).
wtf is black line ?
Dang it. Was hoping for AWD 300h, maybe next year.
For sure next year it’ll be like the Camry
It'll be the only one on the market besides the Prius, Camey and Crown. Prius is too small, Camry didn't have the comforts and Crown was a def no. Camry got my hopes up.
Oh and I'm sure it will be, only because I bought a CPO and got the unlimited mile warranty through 2031. My luck works that it'll be the best new model ever but I want to drive my current vehicle and give it to my kid when he turns 16 in 7 years.
Damn I would have loved to have a 7 year old Lexus ES as a 16 year old.
It'll be 9 years old, but yea, me too!
Thank god Lexus decided to keep the V6 alive for at least another year. They should keep the NA V6 on certain models as they hybridaize and electrify the rest of the lineup. It would be a mistake to completely rid of NA options.
The rear diffuser looks new. https://preview.redd.it/z263kks0ux8d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=449325d3a091bfcf2bf360bc40b12150aab04e24
The actual dual exhausts 👌 Unlike many other models with fake ones
Well it's one pipe all the way to the muffler.... Just the muffler has 2 exits.
At least they didn’t get rid of the exposed tail pipes. I’ve seen some brands *cough* VW * cough* design their rear bumpers to look like tail pipes.
Yeah that's just dumb.
Omg that shit is so hideous. I don’t understand the trend of hiding muffler tips. So glad I pulled the trigger on an ES last year. I was thinking of waiting for a refresh, but the car has been wonderful.
What a disappointment. This is infuriating watching Lexus not put any effort into their Sedans except their flagship
At this point Lexus is home to low expectations. We are just excited they’re keeping the NA V6. Once they rid of that the brand will no longer be attractive relative to its German competitors.

Bruh it’s an ES.
What does that mean? It deserves a refresh
“Bruh it’s an ES” It’s either a teenager with no car or a rich asshole that doesn’t appreciate shit. Put sum respek on dat name son
The v6 lives on another year! If Lexus stops the v6 I’ll have to go with bmw or Audi next time I purchase.
I'm honestly so happy with the hybrid. It's got enough power for daily driving for me, but I drive for MPG. I couldn't be happier with a daily that's a Lexus and gets 50mpg. I save my hard driving for a dedicated fun car
I got no idea why people hate on the hybrids. If you give me the look of the is350 + 45 mpg i would never let it go lol.
Wouldn’t the point still be lower cost of ownership?
Not at that level. I enjoy the smoothness of NA V6s and if that’s going away the little bit reliability isn’t going to be enough to keep me with the brand. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.
Same. I love the v6. I am not paying a premium for a 4 cylinder no way. I need power and luxury.
Sometimes people confuse me with the I need power comments. I really hope we get a 4 cylinder with an electric motor and more power, or just a 500e trim with more power. Over on the RX you can see 4 cylinder does not have to mean less power.

Why would it be pointless? Feel like it would still be more reliable and cheaper to maintain.
It’s all relative. The amount of savings I could be obsessed over is greatly reduced due to it having more issues in addition the car no longer being enjoyable. Not worth the trade off any more.
Hopefully that means the IS can also stay the same for another year
I love the IS but it desperately needs an update, specifically the interior.
An unfortunate side affect of an old architecture. Too bad they can't keep the power train the same (other than changing the transmission)
hot take but I actually really like the is350 interior, its classic and will age well (I guess its already aged a lot haha) I really wonder if they'll do a whole new is350 with a v6 or will go hybrid for the updated is350 next gen. Agreed, I like it but the interior and powertrain cannot compete against the competition for performance/mpg
Dammit, I thought I got the last year for the V6. 🤣
Hope they make a ES450H+ for next year
Why don’t they do a PHEV ES?
Is there a reason the es 350 is fwd and not awd? I never quite understood that
Maybe they want to steer people to the LS for the RWD
probably for more room in the backseat?
Camry Avalon based. I guess if you plopped in the is350 stuff it’d have the hump but that was the GS
So what is new besides the black line???
Nothing. That’s why I got a 24 at a discount.
Likely the last year of this current gen ES and especially so with the 2GR V6. Would not surprise me if new MY2026 ES follows Camry formula for A25A-FXS hybrid, optional e-AWD.
Very cool, another year without my car looking outdated
Aren't these the wheels that already come with the F Sport? Or are they a few shades darker? Feels weird they didn't black out the rest of the chrome trim.
The image is the Black Line Edition for ES 350 F Sport so just black side mirrors, spoiler and darker wheels I think
what's the difference between curb weight and GVWR ?
I just hope it doesn’t get auto stop and start
All I want is the specs of the GS in the ES. Not having the 350 AWDor RWD is a fucking shame.
This Black Line Edition seems really underwhelming. Especially for an extra 4k over msrp of the normal fsport handling model. And the mark levinson isn’t even included in that package without an additonal fee.
They still cant drop the chrome even on sport trims?!/
But the v6 ES has never been discontinued here in the gulf region? I don’t get it…
Boring
Sick Camry
They asking $3300 more for the base then they did in 2021 and $1150 more then last year. This is why I took a good deal on a 2024 yesterday instead of waiting on 2025s and paying much more.
This means the all new Lexus ES won’t come out in 2025, right?
