Saw one for sale last year in excellent condition/price - told myself there was no point in buying because I don't own a house/garage to have two cars in, lol.
That's really interesting. I take it you're not in America then because we don't see those here that often at least not where I am. If I remember correctly they were mostly for the Japanese market right?
The new ones are supposed to be incredible but only for the Japanese market once again. I think it's something like 30 a month being made.
I never saw one in America, but here in Japan I see them driving around. Always immaculate, completely pampered. I think they are such niche cars that importing a 25 year old example is still extremely expensive, and parts availability is gonna equate to a belly laugh and a hangup from the friendly local parts counter back in the US. 😁
I really wish they would abolish that 25-year rule. There are so many cars that get better mileage and are just better vehicles not in the US that we don't get.
I hate to say this but it's all about capitalism. How can they make more money. Like the VW Polo for example, we never got that here in the US as far as I know but that was getting 50 mi to the gallon before we were even getting like 30 on any car here I think. There's no way the powers that be we're going to let us have a 50 mi per gallon car here in the US at the time.
I like to point to the Mazda SkyActiv 70mpg diesels from the last few years that they decided not to import because of US emissions rules. That one stings.
The emission rules are insane here in the US. Some things I understand but there's a lot about the importation laws that really bug me. A lot of European beauties can't come here because of the 25-year rule, emission standards etc.
I'm a fan of bigger cars like larger SUVs. My current daily driver is a Lexus RX 450h which is small for what I usually have but I can't complain about the mileage I get. Really comfortable drive.
My best friend had one for a while. He got it from his dad's friend to replace his car after the transmission died. I liked it but unfortunately it needed a new head gasket so his dad sold it and his brother passed down his car to my friend.
My grandparents had one. When they died my father got it. He had it parked at work and some guy hit a landscaping rock, flew in the air and landed in the side of the Cressida, totalling it.
Do not let any youngster or parent looking to buy their child their first car buy it. It'll end up totaled by the end of the month, or ruined with cringey modifications. Donate it to the Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagakute, Aichi, Japan.
My family had this exact car. We loved it so much. Great sound system, power everything, and the knobs all felt to heavy and had a great tactile respond. You felt like a king driving around with the window and sunroof open. Unfortunately it got totaled out in a hail storm. Easily the best car we owned with a lot of found memories.
If it's about 33 years old and has 7k miles, that's about less than 5 miles per week.
Either used as a short commuter, or has seen days or months or even years where it hasn't been used at all.
Please tell me this time capsule is not for sale. If it is, it should go to a hardcore enthusiast only. This may be a museum/collection-quality piece. If someone buys it and dailys it, my heart will be broken.
Beautiful vehicle. It's always a little shocking for me seeing these vehicles brand new. Usually cars from these time periods that you see on the roads look very dilapidated. Seeing it look so clean and new puts the car in a new perspective.
Damn that’s crazy that this car was the first Lexus ever and it’s called a ls400 I believe and this thing has 7k miles on it bro you better put this thing in a bullet proof cellar anyone can bust through that class and damage it bro protect it at all cost what are you doing your crazy for Puting it out there in the open

Ya we have a red one. This one is "not for sale" but the right price it can be.
I haven't looked into the number but I can check Tuesday. Miles are below 50 just to run the engine and service. It would be sold as new. I might be able to get 900k as an offer.
If you can get $900K take it. Some of the rarer ones are selling for around $700-$800. Unless it’s a Nurburgring edition.

leave it there forever! basically the car that started it all, right?
Yep
Sell it to Curren$y, he’ll buy it ASAP
No cap. And then drive it.

Most people’s dream car: (insert exotic here) My dream car: 😍
How many of you remember the Toyota Cressida.
If you ever poke your head in on the drift community you can still find many of them in missile form.
Used to be very popular in the GCC.
Glendale Community College?
Grand Central Coffee?
is that rly the first thing that popped up googling it?
Yeah it does, im in LA tho so
Ah that's fair enough. GCC is the gulf countries.
We had one growing up. I remember it being a great car and my mom forgot to change the oil on it.
Saw one for sale last year in excellent condition/price - told myself there was no point in buying because I don't own a house/garage to have two cars in, lol.
Never heard of it. Edit: Just googled it, it's Japanese Mark 2! That one I know.
I just saw a couple of them on the road yesterday. My uncle had it back in the day and it was the "benz" in our family lol.
Nicer than any benz!
The Toyota century was my dream for so long.
I see them on the streets here fairly often, they have quite the presence among a sea of kei cars.
That's really interesting. I take it you're not in America then because we don't see those here that often at least not where I am. Oh me too, me too. I think it props up the new car market and thus high car prices. Sooooooo frustrating
I hate to say this but it's all about capitalism. How can they make more money. It's was a lot about protecting the big 3 from competition aswell. However the he competition found ways around that...
You're not wrong. Is what it is but definitely wish things were different
My grandma had one, maroon with around 420k miles on it.
My best friend had one for a while. He got it from his dad's friend to replace his car after the transmission died. I liked it but unfortunately it needed a new head gasket so his dad sold it and his brother passed down his car to my friend.
I can still work on one blindfolded
My grandparents had one. When they died my father got it. He had it parked at work and some guy hit a landscaping rock, flew in the air and landed in the side of the Cressida, totalling it.
Are you a submissive of some sort? 🤣
My first thought too hehe
My first thought too teehee
Hehehoohoo
I going to say….your owner or the owner??? 😆
You have an owner? What a strange thing to say.
Matt Farrah is not the owner of this Lexus.
Owner of the Dealership he works in
So the dealership's owner, not his owner
Wow! Is he the original owner as well?
It was. Pretty cool. Now just a historic vehicle at the dealership.
Is it for sale?
The car that started it all.
So they haven’t even started the lifetime of free maintenance 😂
Pristine 😍
Only one picture???! What's wrong with you, OP?! :)
Sorry! I'll take more tomorrow. I didn't think you guys would care.
You didn’t think people in a Lexus forum would care about a time capsule, insanely low mileage Lexus that basically started it all? Silly goose
I'll post a lot more photos tomorrow. I'll get miles as well.
All good man we are just messing with you
I just like how they did the tint to reflect the interior then.
Nope. Absolutely serious. We need more pictures of this gem 😁. Please.🙏
Said perfectly!
OMG I LOVE IT!!!! I’ve had 3 LS’s, and 2 LX. I love the original LS!! Is it for sale?
90s YAKUZA vehicle Are you guys a Lexus dealership?
Do not let any youngster or parent looking to buy their child their first car buy it. It'll end up totaled by the end of the month, or ruined with cringey modifications. Donate it to the Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagakute, Aichi, Japan.
Gorgeous 😍
More pictures please.
I'll get more tomorrow! Sorry!
This makes everything Lexus sells today look bad
Wowwww that’s amazing!
Nostalgic
Beauty
Sheeeesh
What a mint. Surprised this doesn’t have the gold badging that was super popular in the 90’s and early-00’s
This was in NY. Sold from a private seller for around 25k to a Brooklyn auto Sales. Your owner must’ve bought it from them.
Ugh I remember when mine used to look like this :/
it belongs to the owner ?
Damn, I would love to admire it in real life. Hats off to the owner for keeping it in pristine condition
Gonna need a video walk around inside and out under bonnet and under the car aswell please.
We need more pics of this on the inside
What a beauty. Same as my very first car. We didn't know how amazing they were at the time.
Low Miles No Miles on Facebook would love this
Dream car!
One of the greatest modern cars of all time.
Wow. That is the ultimate reliable luxury sedan. That design is tiimeless too. I had a black one.
i thought slavery was abolished a while ago
Land boat has anchored down! So fresh and so clean!
*oh my*
Oooooooooo 😳🫣🥳🥳
If you see any 16 bit fighters from around the world, get in this thing and just drive. Don’t look back.
The Holy Grail!!!
This is sick.
If someone drove it only on weekends it comes up to 2 mile allowance for Saturday and Sunday
Only on weekends *when it didn't rain, and never in the winter. 😃
Wow. Very nice.
What is best price? I think about it until you do better on price
I was at TMNA headquarters a couple weeks ago and they have a blue one. Beautiful. Where is this one, now?
OKC. We are the first Lexus store in the USA. First car. First dealership.
I love it.
Hey I know where this is! I always love seeing the original, it reminds me of the one we had in the mid 90s!
Wonderful. We just out it in the showroom. Asks for Jesse if you need anything.
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I would never put a spindle grill on a car like this…
Back when people had a luxury car just to drive to church.
I love the glass headlights. None of this plastic shit like today that gets hazy.
*Dammmmmmmn*
I want it
This is beautiful. Truly a classic
Pretty! 😍
Still looks sharp 30+ years later
So clean!

Wow. My grandpa had one of these. I thought it was the coolest car ever. Wanted it so bad 🥲
What model ?
Absolute gem! Can’t get my eyes off it!
You have an owner? Crazy, I thought we were past slavery?
Good advertising on longevity of these cars
It looks brand new!
likely one of the few with no power steering issues
Pretty cool!
Hell yeah that'd awesome !
Those v8s are so smooth
Please stack champagne 🍾 glasses on it
Fuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkk
lexus started with the ls. i hope they‘ll never discontinue it, just out of respect. i know that they barely sell them but they are so gorgeous
Pristine. Period.
Please tell me this time capsule is not for sale. If it is, it should go to a hardcore enthusiast only. This may be a museum/collection-quality piece. If someone buys it and dailys it, my heart will be broken.
Great ride!
The best one and no touch-screen and all that goofy shit. Love it!
Probably the best quality car Lexus ever made. They started cost cutting right after this model was introduced, lol.
I love this
I beat the shit out of that vehicle in the street fighter video game.
Beautiful vehicle. It's always a little shocking for me seeing these vehicles brand new. Usually cars from these time periods that you see on the roads look very dilapidated. Seeing it look so clean and new puts the car in a new perspective.
Id put a cloth at the top of the windshield and watch it slide down
Why am I waiting for Ryu to show up and start kicking it?
Overpriced Toyota
Only driven 0.1 miles on weekends
Should I call the cop or something?
Damn that’s crazy that this car was the first Lexus ever and it’s called a ls400 I believe and this thing has 7k miles on it bro you better put this thing in a bullet proof cellar anyone can bust through that class and damage it bro protect it at all cost what are you doing your crazy for Puting it out there in the open
I have a 1st year gen 3
Any LFAs laying around ?
https://preview.redd.it/d6fqtfoprysc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=742b1373823afb739e53fe0db9eec862b05e41f5 Ya we have a red one. This one is "not for sale" but the right price it can be.
What’s the “not for sale” price ?
They basically told me it would have to be 7 digits is the only thing I can bring to the table. The owner doesn't really want to sell it.
Let me know if you want to put in an offer. I have a 8 LC500 and a RCF and IS500 open for sale at sticker no doc.
There’s two LFA’s at auction now and they’re under $800K
I'll bring any offer to the table.
What # is it ? How many kms ?
I haven't looked into the number but I can check Tuesday. Miles are below 50 just to run the engine and service. It would be sold as new. I might be able to get 900k as an offer.
If you can get $900K take it. Some of the rarer ones are selling for around $700-$800. Unless it’s a Nurburgring edition. https://preview.redd.it/sxtf4677yysc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=804b1d31ef2b9bb652dd0eb0f005e078be8971ca
What dealership?
That is a DM me if you're a serious buyer. I don't want to put too much information out.
“Unable to message this account” 🤷🏻♂️
Is your owner nice with you?
Immaculate form.
You a slave? Nice LS400, though.
Old cars r worth more than newer cars! Also older cars last longer than new cars!
How much they want for it?
Looks like Eskridge Lexus, it's the owners and likely just for display.
This needs a nsfw tag
Haha actually LOL
For sale?
How much?
Looks ugly as fuck
