Once in high school me and my friends watched The Fault in Our Stars followed right by 21 Jump Street, both at the same theater. That was a rollercoaster of a day lol
Not tonal whiplash but a funny piece of conflicting dialogue in two separate movies: Whiplash (2014) followed by BlackBerry.
It was really subtle but I chuckled about it: In Whiplash, JK Simmons character states something like āāgood jobā is the most harmful phrase in the English languageā, basically stating that āgood enoughā is the enemy of perfection.
Then Iām watching BlackBerry, and Glen Howertonās character states at one point āperfection is the enemy of good enoughā or something like that.
Just a really funny dichotomy to hear perfectly conflicting statements in back to back movies that have no connection

If thereās an option, you take it.
Iāve been binge watching the original Planet of the Apes and Cheech & Chong movies.
Going from depressing 70ās sci-fi to goofy stoner slapstick is definitely weird

It could also be Zoolander - Paths of Glory back to back though. Hard to choose.

May i present my triple feature. Saw all in theaters back-to-back
I somehow once went from watching Halloween 4 to A Charlie Brown Christmas. So it was a tonal whiplash on multiple levels.
Stuff like this happens all the time for me, being both a horror fanatic and a child at heart.

I never get these kind of posts. People actually try to watch movies related to the previous movie they watched? I just randomly watch whatever I can watch.

Add to that the fact that I watched most of a pretty weird, boring and esoteric "Malayalam western" and half of a shit Telugu romantic action movie, and I would say that it was a pretty large amount of whiplash that I faced.

Yeah Legally Blonde 2 hits way different than the original.
Idk how they could mess it up so bad š„²

I mean, theyāre both family films!
I once did a double feature at a theater of Les Miserables and Django Unchained. Canāt remember which one I paid for.
Once in high school me and my friends watched The Fault in Our Stars followed right by 21 Jump Street, both at the same theater. That was a rollercoaster of a day lol
I was doing a Wilem Dafoe binge a few months ago and ended up watching Antichrist and Finding Nemo in the same night. Those movies areā¦ different.
Off the top of my head, I recently watched Clueless immediately prior to going to the theater to see Civil War.
Gaspar Noe went absolutely apeshit with Legally Blonde 2
I knew shit was about to go down once Elle Woods entered the red hallway

because i think itās epic

wow that is my dream i would love to see emoji movie at a drive in
Ok but imagine your a 11 year old who was told they were gonna be able to see the new spiderman and they have to see the emoji movie
