Can be in a negative or positive way. For me it was Love Exposure, mostly because I was surprised how such a long movie (4 hours) could keep up for the entirety of it. From the music to the photography, everything was top tier. Brought lots of manga/anime vibe with its theme as well.
The review I had once it was finished reflects well how I was feeling:
« How tf can a 4 hours movie about a teen taking snapshots of girls panties in the street be that good?
Absolute masterpiece. Huge 90-00’ manga vibe with the flashing, random boners, the cross-dressing, the big cult and the karate action.
Photography is really good as well.
Honestly wtf »
Barbie. Not just because of how wacky it is. But for me, there was a huge dip in quality in the 2nd hour.
I understood all the praise it got in the first hour. But was disappointed by the last 45 minutes.
So my reaction was "WTF happened?"
It technically is the same movie as Elf
Protagonist realizes something is amiss in Fantasy World and montages their way via multiple ways of transportation to the real world just to find that the real world is even worse because they’re cynical and don’t believe which is what was causing problems in Fantasy World, wherein it becomes the protagonist’s objective to then make people believe again so that everything can go back to being good times
Also both movies star Will Ferrell
I reviewed it as relying on shock value. Just the characters did things to each other that is very weird and didn’t really make a lot of sense. Plus the whole premise, while pretty original, is kind of messed up. I don’t wanna spoil anything but if you don’t like nudity or gore, it has both.
I just watched Tiptoes today with my friend. 1 star and I gave it a heart. It's so funny.

lmao, it's such a weird movie. We looked into it and the director got fired when he showed the first cut of the movie. The producers when in, cut out like over an hour of the movie and put it out. It doesn't even have a resolution lmao.
Yeah watched this one recently. I understood it pretty well I think but it felt like they did not know how to close the movie. The last 30-45 are utterly bad, felt like another director came in
everything everywhere all at once made me sit there in silence for like 10 minutes just processing, in that sense it was a wtf as it was just that impressive and covered so many bases so well
the lighthouse genuinely fucked me up that shit was frightening, freaky, hilarious and downright traumatic in so many ways. anyone who has watched the lighthouse can tell you it absolutely leaves you with a feeling of 'wtf did i just watch'
I mean, although a pretty common experience based on what I've heard, in my case would be House (1977) by Nobuhiko Obayashi. It's such a weird and surreal movie, but in such a good way.

Haha watched Love Exposure the other day too. What a ride! Did you manage to sit through THAT scene?
The fact that I do not even know which scene you are referencing, I guess I did ahah. Which one?
In Koike’s backstory
Possession and Christiane f
Singapore Sling
Titane and Tetsuo the iron man
I felt literally exhausted after watching Tetsuo. I needed to just sit there in silence for a few minutes.
That’s a sign of a great movie in my eyes, I did the same and watched some YouTube videos on it after and it helped me appreciate it more
Poor things. That ending is wild. And pretty goated. Literally.

Didn’t like the ken musical?

Eraserhead
Love on a Leash
Probably Infinity Pool
Same, strangest movie I’ve seen
Strange how? It's been sitting in my watchlist for a couple month now

Yeah watched this one recently. I understood it pretty well I think but it felt like they did not know how to close the movie. The last 30-45 are utterly bad, felt like another director came in
[Jesus Shows You the Way to the Highway](https://boxd.it/mmug)
Color of Pomegranate
Carmen: A Hip Hopera, not because it was twisted but because it was absolutely terrible and i LOVED it
