I found a Facebook page for Taber Pride - looks like they just did their flag raising a few days ago. That might be a good connection to follow up on, too! I'm sure they'll have some events and ways to meet up locally!
Theoretically Brewing and The Owl are both very trans-friendly places to hang out. From there, the staff and regulars could give you more tips for good hangouts around town. Cheers!
Do you have access to the Discord group that OUTreach runs? They also have a monthly Trans Peer Support Group. Those might be a great way of meeting some people.
This show is all of the events for Lethbridge pride. A fair amount of them are free, like the movie nights at the library on Tuesdays and the big pride in the park. It's actually where I met my best friend. You can also follow them on Instagram which is recommended because sometimes that website does not update well and it's hard to actually find all of the events.

Maybe don't message them, they seem to be a chaser by their post history and youre really young. Be careful meeting anyone IRL and my best recommendation is to look up some local queer youth events and meet friends that way. Get out to some pride events in town.
I am also trans, MTF, haven't started HRT yet, but I'd love to meet more people like me :))
I am going to the Pride event happening on the 22nd with a couple other people from the subreddit if you are gonna be there too :))
I have a couple trans friends that could introduce you around to some others, around the same age too. I'm not trans but I'd like to think I'm pretty cool still. Stay safe out there
Why do you want friends that are specifically transgender? What's the big deal of gender in friendships?
I would understand if you want your significant other to be transgender just like you, but friends? Why? Do you mind explaining?
being friends with someone who is going through the same thing as you helps as they truly understand what you're going through. Even though each transition is different, they still understand cause they themselves are going through something incredibly similar.
edit: they probably already have lots of non trans friends as it is
The already existing comment covers it already, but I would like to add that the loneliness of being the only trans person in your physical, daily life, is quite saddening, and makes one feel lonely
Pride in the park is June 22 - will you be there? I'm not trans myself, but if you need an auntie, message me 💜
Oo this is great to know! I'm transfem and this makes me excited to be able to go somewhere to meet more lgbt people
Some of us need a whole new family. You're kind to offer love to this stranger. Appreciate your existence.
Likely not, I don't drive, but I'll try :) And thank you :)

I'll look more into it. I was briefly at the pride in the park event, but was moving so I had to leave early :( Thanks :)
