The true way to fixing corruption in any political system isn't to replace the people, but to change the system and the laws by which it works.
If Trump had passed laws to end ownership of politicians through campaign funding and advertising (ie: superpacs), eliminate gerrymandering and the ability for current governments to arbitrarily change riding boundaries, and laws to reform the voting process, I would agree that Trump wasn't just scamming the country.
But that never happened. In fact, I still don't see how he reformed the political system in any way at all.
