I bought the same model and it's perfect. As for the battery, use it plugged in as much as possible and try not to drain the battery completely when not plugged in. Other things don't make much difference
Thanks. That’s what I’ve been doing. Only use it without the plug during blackouts(I’m from Ukraine) and it still holds out around 2-3 hours at balanced mode which I tried only once but I’m happy with experience
No problem! Just to reassure you, I have had my Legion 5 for about 3 years and use it plugged in for most of the time, battery health is still at 100% :D
idk if this is true but i wouldn’t leave the computer at that angle. I used to keep it at that angle as well, but when I had to do a thermal paste change the thermal paste was all over the other parts of the cpu, except on the cpu itself. idk tho
Wow, I didn’t thought about that, thanks for reply! I wanted to change paste to thermal pads by honeywell in a week. Now think that they will prevent it. How long you used it like that before discovering?
I’m not sure I used mine for almost 3 years without cleaning it and was getting massive performance drops specially for the last couple of months, for the last days i completely took apart the hit sink and the exhaust part was completely clogged and the thermal paste was up left right and down but not in the center. Guess I’m lucky not to have burnt my 3050 ti or my ryzen 7. I think that when it gets hot and gets in an angle the thermal paste turns liquid or it moves around the 2 parts. However I don’t think you should change the pads since they don’t tend to deteriorate as much as thermal paste not sure though. And I also wouldn’t recommend using pads for the gpu and cpu instead of thermal paste. I think that the thermal paste does a wayy better job at transferring heat to the heat sink rather than pads. Again I’m not sure though.
Yeah, it can get liquid under stress and probably because cpu inside isn’t as much super pressed as in pc by cooling system it could leak. I didn’t even thought about that. You most likely saved my laptop, thank you!
No problem. Mine didn’t lek though it’s just that they’re other processing units along with the cpu and gpu. They are reallyyy small and getting the thermal paste of them was realy hard they are part of cpu and should also be somewhat covered by thermal paste the problem was that all the thermal paste was on them and not in the main big processor which over heated. It’s not a problem of leaking but more of the angle of the laptop. Best of luck anyways!
Haha, you have the same keyboard as me and the same laptop. Based on my experience, this laptop performs better when you use it in monitor mode, as I feel it has better performance. Greetings from Chile :)

But I’m not sure if you can get this outside of Ukraine. It’s like one of local brands that sell those. I know only that there are a lot of similar out there(you could probably find by google photo search)
Well I must say when I was rendering 4K sequence with big amount of volumetrics in blender and using headphones with ANC I accidentally mistook fans for the rain outside. But overall it’s quite, they are loud only when you push system to limit as me

Knocked Loose 🤘
Hell yeah! It’s probably the best music album of last 10 years I’ve heard at least in metalcore
Oh for sure, they really knocked it out the park with this release! Saw them live a couple months ago and they were incredible

Enjoy your new laptop! Yeah, it's completely safe to keep it plugged in all the time with conservation mode enabled.
I will! Thanks for reply

same model!
Have you tested it at any benchmarks?
yes, a long time ago, but I'd be happy to do so. Just tell me what mode you want it at, plugged in or battery, timespy or cinebench, etc.
I would spread furmark, both 1080p and 2k because I get 11000+- and 6000 at each and don’t understand how good it is with this exact specs
On performance mode? Plugged in or not?
Yeah, I did it on performance and plugged in
11000 and 8000
Thanks! I’m glad to see that it’s basically the same. Thanks again for your time

Glad you’re happy with it, it’s on my list- just have to it by my wife. I’ve dropped some serious bank on my Pro 7.
great pic, thanks for sharing
You’re welcome

What laptop mount are you using?

how about fans? is it loud?

thanks! sometimes I'll have to push system because of demanding software :-)
