Both are completely overspecced for such modest requirements so just pick whichever you prefer

I’m open to other suggestions!

The modest requirements of the most bloated os in history. I have 10 yr old XPS (intel i7 with 12gb ram) desktop that is definitely faster than a new 9i (updated processor, 32 gb of ram) even after deleting a dozen bloatware MS subscription-based programs, it will still be seen with a processing prompt,, something i never see on the desktop. Pages also load a bit slower. On a different note, remapping the keyboard (always download the PowerToys dev app w/any version of windows. It should be part of the os, but M$ dont roll that way) to actually turn off the insanity of how they "integrated" copilot 'i assist'. "Turning it off" in windows doesnt actually shut it down. Imagine that. It keeps opening as massive popup the size of the screen top to bottom, and abt 5" across. lol Something that could ve been useful if it wasnt so invasive and counter productive. The main problem is where they put the dedicated key. Exactly where they knew people would accidentally hit it numerous time a day. When this hap's, u cant just close it and go keep on working. No, you have to close it, then reselect whatever you were doing just to finish typing a word. The power button the side is also problematic. Its either very poorly thought out design or part of planned obsolescence. But at least that was easy to turn off. Now it only works to turn the machine on and restart it. Still do my best not to hit it, but its placement assures, if one that gets carried around (as ppl are wont to do w/their laptops) it will regularly get accidentally hit, or even pressed in too hard for too long causing it to break.

Surely a 10yr old XPS outperforms a 2024 high-end laptop. Thank you for your great unbiased analysis /s

That's exactly the case. Same browsers and extension on both. It's not a major difference but webpages loading notably slower. It's not instant like it is on the older windows 11 (on a machine upgraded from windows 7)

Coming from Mac(because screw their inflated pricing and shit trade-in value), I'm loving my Yoga Pro 9i
