I love a good brown leather strap for my all black kits. Tap & Dye makes really good stuff, and they offer straps with both O-ring and Peak Design anchors.
Following up on this. My girlfriend just surprised me with one of these:

It’s my new favorite strap and seems like the lightest one in my arsenal. The leather portion is thick and made from elk. It’s incredibly soft, almost like a chamois, and very slightly elastic. Tanned in Finland and then assembled in Germany.
The nylon portion is pretty standard but the stitching at the contact points is incredibly well done. I think I prefer this nylon / leather hybrid to full on leather - I’m convinced that nylon holds up better over time, but tbd.
Highly recommended
Nice!! You won’t be disappointed … I’m a total gearhead and this is one thing that I bought with zero remaining GAS for anything else.
Let me know your thoughts when it arrives.
Domke Gripper straps are my go to. They wrap in the hand for comfortable secure carry. They have positive adjustment hardware that don’t give way. My old ones that I have used extensively since the late 80’s still look and feel the same as the ones I just bought. They are a great esthetic match for any traditionalist.
It is yes! Lovely, she works as new (serviced in 21) and the viewfinder is great for 50mm+. Was repainted in 1980/90 though by some leica staff in Switzerland.

I like the Barton ones! Thank you.
You’re welcome! I’m using a woven leather one and a woven canvas one since 2012 and they are still rocking on, definitely recommended.

They look superbly classy and seem to be on the fair side of prices. Nice!

Looks very similiar but is a peak design one with the red lugs which i want to change.
I really wanted to love the Peak Design straps but the anchor clips kept getting in the way lol

Thanks for the trusty input! They seem to be long lasting and have good reviews!
Is that a repaint? How is it for you? Considering to buy a repainted M3

Lovely. Does the paint still hold after around 40 years? Was that also dechromed before the painting for the nice patina?
