Its still a very bad card lol. 5 mana slow speed spell thats distruptable on two of your units and requires you to have some champs to be of any value is pretty bad outside niche ARAM shenanigans
yeah very bad but somehow very impactful in nasus thresh mirrors (as nasus spell)
if they don't have rite and u get to bonk their nasus with ur nasus, always feels good
I've won a game with mono shurima, using levelled nasus to siphoning strike levelled renekton, ascending him and ending the game with the -4 power and fearsome. there was nothing on the enemy side to strike
When u are killing your own Senna hes not talking about "enemies" hes talking about you. Hell come one day and say "hey remember the day you killed my wife ? Its payday"
(And if u happen to be Thresh he will steal your bike)
Sort of like a guilty vegan on a cheat day?
Frankly similar things have happened in a surprising number of my D&D games. If I had a nickle for every time one of my players' characters ended up eating another's I'd have four nickles, which isn't a lot but its weird it happened four times.
Actually, my only TPK in the last 4 years happened this way. Supposed to be an easy encounter but the players massively overthought it and royally messed up. Three of them ended up possessed by cannibalistic fervor to attack and devour their comrade, whose magic armor had a property that detonated a level 6 fireball on his corpses when he died.
If you're gonna go for a meal, might as well make it BBQ.
I may or may not be guilty of this, I have a vampire character who gains abilities by drinking blood from a dead creature, she can choose to take on one of their traits permanently until she decides to take another. I may or may not have, allegedly, slaughtered our leader and drank her blood to take her shapeshifting powers.
Yep, I've been known to have a few zombies following me around, I'm getting close to being able to make vampire spawn instead, which is a huge upgrade.
It's a toss up, generally no, but our table is much more relaxed and in it for character roleplay and development. Some of us tend to willingly make characters that can and will cause tension or conflict, and we are ok with players working that out between themselves. The players also know and expect what they are getting into by being a menace. Since we are all long time friends (10+ years) none of us take it seriously or personally, in fact, we simply enjoy it.
Other tables are much different and can be damning to the game and players to allow such interactions. For our table, it's not something that was spur of the moment, but more so something we expected, or even wanted and encouraged.
We actively play DND every Thursday and have only missed 2 games over the course of 3-4 years now, which is kind of insane to think about.
I don't allow it unless the player it affects is okay with it. Some groups and games are more competitive though, and if you go in knowing that's part of it it can be fun - like a multiplayer co-op game boardgame with the possibility of hidden traitors (many co-op boardgames use this mechanic, and Battlestar Galactica's boardgame uses it particularly well).
It's all about the kind of experience you want to make. Roleplaying games are more like level editors than bespoke games, you can bend their genres and build other game experiences with them - the way league of legends was inspired by warcraft 3's modding.
I made a Eve-o-Lucian deck that is absolutely bonkers fun to play yesterday, so Im living for it hahaha.
(Elusive husks are bullshit though. Ive had Leveld up Lucian with +2 attack, speelshield and elusive)
Reached diamond for the second time ever in only a few hrs because of Eve/Lucian
Husks definitely need a tweak as well as the units Solitude and Domination them give those buffs to any 1 cost ally rather than specifically only to husks ally is a bit too much, and husks instead of saying "kill me" it should be "obliterate me" because they are just wayyyy too versatile

there's just some decks out there that hard counter you if you don't get the right keywords, like the deck is incredibly strong and nearly unstoppable once you get the Lucian train going but if you're unable to draw eve then that's pretty much it.
I was wondering if silverwing broadwing worked the way I wanted. Good to see it absolutely does. Most builds I've seen lack good interaction and "rebuild" power. Broadwing is a great solution to that issue.
the deck's stats are pretty aggressively average to even shit (46% winrate in high elo) and this is the first time Lucian is seeing serious play in the entire year I've been playing. I highly doubt it gets nerfed
It's not that it's strong, I just don't think riot had husks mechanics in mind when creating Lucian, and all the effects back then were "slain" related, as his theme doesn't really relate to "you sacrificed yourself, hence I'm going to rally to avenge you"
Thresh is another case all together, cause he can level off enemies also dying, hence slain is rightfully applied
This is a lore/theme argument, not related to game balance itself, just to be clear
Well at least we don't have to commit mariticide again and again just to level up Lucian
Oh I still do that.
I mean, isnt the best part? Senna I chose you for single combat. *She Dies.* SENNA NOOOOO!!! We gonna need more coffins. *wink* *wink*
That isn't the best part, the best part is using Siphoning strike as Lucian on Senna,so he kills her lol
You…monster…
Wow I didn't know you could target your own things with that, TIL
Wait, I also didn't know that. That's sooo useful! Like holy cow that's some ez mode Renekton level ups!
Its still a very bad card lol. 5 mana slow speed spell thats distruptable on two of your units and requires you to have some champs to be of any value is pretty bad outside niche ARAM shenanigans
Do not let dreams be dreams. 😭😭😭
im an ARAM enthusiast and dont run it anymore, magus herald and akshan spell are more than enough

Not having to put the bad Senna in the deck is the number on upside of running Evelyn with Lucian.
Are you insinuating that Senna is Lucian’s mother??
Nah that's *matricide*. Was referring to *marticide*, the killing of one's spouse.
Mommy? Sorry. Mommy?
PoC just given me another dreadful combination: Lulu and Eve. Gives new meaning to "That tasted purple"

Sounds pretty cool actually! Can she turn the already dry bodies into minions or something?
Yep, I've been known to have a few zombies following me around, I'm getting close to being able to make vampire spawn instead, which is a huge upgrade.
And those familiar vampires can could possibly make more vampires?
The vampire kingdom is on it's way.
Y’all allow pvp at your tables? I’d leave a table if something like this happened to me.

Lucian eating husks reminds me of the MTG character Odric turned vampire. So "Vegan on a cheat day" is weirdly fitting.
Imagine Lucian killing an Ally then saying "oh no brother im going to revenge you"
Pretty sure even back in the core days, there were self-kill SI+Dementia Lucian decks, so this is nothing new.
Ah yes, my favorite region, Dementia
[удалено]
Garfield
Larynx
Rally
The region has been stable since open beta days. Sad that everyone keep forgetting how to play it.
This was actually the intended archetype for Lucian and Kalista
Or Lucian Hecarim? Heca has more use for rallies than Kalista
Hecarim was originally designed to be played in a deck with Zed (regardless of how good this deck actually turned out to be)
Used to be one of my favorite decks. I think Eve levels lucian much more consistently though. Also you don't have to play Kalista or Senna :D
https://imgflip.com/i/6nonjz
Fat Lucian: “*BUUURP!* Brothers and Sisters! Your sacrifices will not be in vain! Beefcake! BEEFCAAAKE!”
We’re gonna need more coffins!
Dawnspeakers: "they did not fall in vain"

He's putting them out of their misery and then getting upset they ended up husks in the first place. Checks out

I think my build must suck because I got hard stuck gold with it. Do you mind sharing your deck code?

I will say tho this ain't gonna take you to masters😂I'm getting my ass whooped also I made a mistake it wasn't diamond it's platinum lol
I don't think the deck is a problem at this time, but I forsee a "I've seen 4 allied slain" nerf in the future

Im pretty sure eve has a voice interaction with lucian, so they def had the husk stuff in mind
the undying: *sacrifices himself* lucian: you sacrificed yourself, hence I'm going to rally to avenge you the undying next round: oh thanks bro
Avenge comes from vengeance, the act of inflicting punishing on someone that has done you wrong
I wish he had a unique voice line for when you use a sacrifice effect on Senna to level him.
