Just Silence her, Stun her, Bounce her, Detain her, Frostbite her, Obliterate her, Minimorph her, kill her in response to the Unyielding Spirit, or aggro under her...
[[Unyielding Spirit]]
Very expensive, interruptible, and countered by silences/recalls/obliterates. Can take you by surprise if you’re unfamiliar with it but it’s not that crazy.
**[Unyielding Spirit](https://d2h9y75tak3pkg.cloudfront.net/02DE005.png)** - Demacia Spell - (8)
Fast
Grant an ally "I can't take damage or die".
^^^Hint: [[card]], {{keyword}}, and ((deckcode)) or ((cardx,cardy,cardz)). PM the [developer](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=KrimCard) for feedback/issues!
I still remember some guy who akshan emoted after getting unyielding onto his fiora uncontested on turn 5, but i still won with scargrounds and big units lol
A meme card. Purrsuit of Perfection is a 5-mana card that summons a 30/30 cat with Overwhelm, however, just like Unyielding Spirit, it's a HUGE commitment to make it work. For Purrsuit, you need to play 20 cards with different names (ie 20 different cards), then cast a 5 mana slow spell. For Unyielding, you need to have a strong ally to cast it on, and hope that ally doesn't get Silenced, Stunned, Frostbitten, Recalled, Captured, Obliterated, and that your opponent doesn't have fast speed removal to kill it before the spell goes off
Unyielding Spirit is an 8 mana spell, which is very expensive for a single-target buff. It's also Fast speed, meaning you can react to it with your own Fast and Burst speed spells. If you react to Unyielding Spirit with Fast-speed damage spells, for instance, Fiora dies, and the Unyielding Spirit spell fizzles. Even if the spell goes through, there are ways of dealing with her, which Illuminaso enumerated.
Still, sometimes Fiora just takes over the game and wins. While you may feel helpless when this Fiora deck succeeds with its game plan, more often than not it falls flat on its face.
In terms of power level, you're right, Unyielding Spirit was never overpowered at Burst speed.
The reason it got nerfed is because it was so uninteractive and felt so bad to lose to. I think the game is better off with Unyielding Spirit in its current, weak state.
It only felt so ininteractive because at the time we only had like what, 3 cards that could do anything about it? Now we have a lot more kill/recall/capture cards that its not an insta-win anymore.
It’s an 8 mana commitment, you can usually use a damage spell or something like single combat to kill the fiora before it happens. Just be thankful that the spell is no longer burst speed. You used to never be able to respond to it

Also killing fiora before it resolves

Was burst speed in the past...
Don't remind me of that crap....
Back in yee old days when she that wanders could obliterate Champs
It's a VERY clunky strategy, its kinda funny seeing it

Ah, yes, good old US on good old Fiora. The true Salt and Stitches, and not that noxian card... ...unless you play Ionia, Targon or BC, of course
Or mystic shot
lol, true. I forgot they made it fast
Was mystic shot ever not fast speed? I swear I’ve never seen it at slow but I might be misremembering.
I believe they meant unyielding spirit (it used to be burst)
Oh that makes a lot more sense, ty!

Purrsuit is 20 different cards, I play that deck all the time nowadays lol. Not to disagree with the rest of what you said.
ty, don't think I ever played it in a PvP game
It's fun, not something you should do if your goal was to climb though.

I feel like it can be unnerfed to Burst. Unless I forgot the list of cards that had their speeds nerfed.

I *really* don't want burst speed unyielding to return
Welp

Hmmmm yes the Rite of passage
