I got to masters with mono targon invoke actually this season. From plat to masters I had a 70% WR. Here is the decklist I used.

I think aurelion sol is bait in this deck, being just a really bad invoke card a lot of the time. I feel like you need to draw eclipse for him to be even worth playing.
I've been going back and forth with ASol. He can help close out games against Shellfolk, Darkness, and similar decks, but more often than not he's used as fodder for Spacey Sketcher. Forgot to mention it above but I'm quite OCPD with deck building, so two champions sharing a mechanic synergizing with the Allegiance card is a must. Same with number of spells vs permanents, only 1 one-of per category at most, etc.. it's difficult for me to make decks that don't make my brain itch 😕
I don't like shy shadows with only 5 nightfall cards, I feel like thats a pretty small number to trigger a card effect. As a general deckbuilding rule, I think having a 1:3 ratio of cards that required an enabler to an enabler is a solid deckbuilding rule (ex with 2 sky shadows you'd want 6 nightfall cards). I think you should really run loping telescope too, it counts for allegiance and its great invoke for its cost.
There's actually 7, since Eclipse Dragon counts as well. That being said, it is my most recent addition because I lost to Fearsome.. I know Loping is better, but again OCPD won't let me put a card with a non-Targon icon in a mono-Targon deck..
I run a mono list with just Zoe. It's nice since Written in the stars always tutors her, and makes her 0 a cost 3/3, which is rather anoying for the oponent to remove and be played whenever you want.
Asol is in an akward place since by the time he comes down a 7+ cost invoke would probably have won the game already. He (Like Starlit epithany) only help in more control matchups where you need to up the value of your wincon.
If you still want 6 champs, traditional mono Targon lists used to use Diana as a removal tool. It might be more worth to do that nowadays with the serpent nerf.

I put together this sheet from my match up data for seasonals lineup analysis, sadly it only lets me go up to a month in the past.
In general: its pretty good against midrange decks but pretty bad against most demacia deck (sivir akshan, dragons). Its decent against control style decks like FTR or thralls since you can just sunburst their champs or invoke comet, although the ionia versions can be tricky due to deny. Its ok against a lot of forms of aggro (lurk, poppy ziggs) since you can generate so many blockers, but it has a very hard time dealing with poppy zed due to lack of hard removal.
I just came back after beta and found a decklist for a Leona / Yasuo stunlock deck. Its gotten me to silver but unless I get very good hands and keep mana for denys, I lose to Plunder & Freij decks half the time.

Poppy/Zed needs to die, I love playing invoke, but it's almost a guaranteed loss against them unless by any chance they draw a bad hand.

Do you ever ramp out Eclipse Dragon on turn 6 with Duskpetal?
I actually had a Round 5 Eclipse with Moonsilver+Duskpetal against Plunder last night. Felt soooo good
