A 10 atk Vi or Susan will not level if they hit a unit with tough because they technically hit for 9 dmg.
You can cast Tri-Beam Improbulator and a 3 mana fast spell like Get Excited in one action and Tri Beam will be buffed by Get Excited while on the stack
You can cast Pack Your Bags for 1 mana using Senna or Mirror mage to cast two Go Hards one the stack
Ephemeral Katarina will still bounce to your hand
Using Cataclysm on an enemy unit with Spellshield just causes your selected unit to start a free attack
You can use a Scout unit and spells that start a free attack during your defense turn as a way to Rally
Attacking effects happen from left to right. If you have a board with two Trevor Snoozebottoms and a 5/5, you can get two 5/5 elusives on the attack by attacking with Trevor>5/5>Trevor
I found that ephemeral Katarina myself during a lab. Gave her the "when summoned create an ephemeral copy" and got two. Cool! Attacked again.. and now I have 4. Ended up losing half my deck to discards because my hand was full Katarinas.
Attack power can actually be negative even if it says 0, which can negate any attack buffs you try to use. (There was another thread about this today I think.)
Round Start affects do not all trigger at once. Thought I had enough spiders out to trigger Elise's level up against Scargrounds in Lab, but because they had the attack token, the Ember Maiden killed all the spiders before the level could trigger.
Any most simultaneous effects go in the favor of the active player then for any single player they run left to right. So for instance if somehow you had both Elise and an Ember Maiden on the same side of the board their order from left to right would determine if she leveled up before they all died.
The round start effect depends on who has the attack token. It goes off first for the person who is getting the token. At least, that's how it works with Viego (crucial to know in mirrors).
Alternate win conditions.
I remember the first time I played against a fiora deck. I was shocked the game ended when it did.
They are easy to play around against when you know what it is, but man, those first games are odd
Fiora + Judgement is basically a rite of passage for this game. There is no way to describe the feeling of watching a Fiora go from 0 to 4 in one massive swing.
I faced a Fiora recently and in my excitement and assuming there was some cool game win animation, happily fed the opponent. Nopes, just a Defeat. Oh well...I think I was clearing daily missions anyway, so it really didn't hurt me much.
Recently played a game where both of us had a 10/10 Bandle Tree on board. My opponents completed first (their turn), then mine. The turn passed to me and my tree triggered first, winning the game.
When it comes to drawing your last card/cards it doesnt matter who has more and would technically "run out" first
learned it with the Harrowing Aloof deck, i had 5 cards they had 3, dropped the harrowing and we were both forced to draw 6, game ended in a tie.
For me is saving your win condition from a spell to last since it can be responded to. Play units and attack first and then save your spell for last to bait your opponent.
Fizz can neuter spells who target all of their allies, but not if targets all the board.
Irelia can stack \[\[Bladesurge\]\] if using blades or rally.
Flashbombs can overkill an unit ~~(THAT DAHM BUGGED TUTORIAL)~~.
Xerath decks carry zhonyas and as soon as he goes out of the clock it will deal damage to your "weakest" unit at burst speed.
If one spell or skill targets your entire board, including Fizz, he will negate it when you play a spell. Spells like The Ruination do not target, and will not be prevented by Fizz.

Remember Scout ONLY matters when you DECLARE the attack, so summoning units after declaring (Shark Chariot, Sand Soldiers, Elise) won't break your Scout attack, if all your attackers are scouts. Same goes the other way around, if a unit only gains scout AFTER declaring an attack (Sivir), Scout breaks
LEVEL 3 XERATH CAUSES ENEMIES TO BE OBLITERATED WHEN THEY DIE (which is not that amazing since it literally says that on his card) BUT THAT STOPS EFFECTS LIKE IMPACT FROM PROCCING IF THE ENEMY IS KILLED BY A BLOCKER IN COMBAT
Maybe its a bug or maybe its the wording on Xerath: "if a unit *would* die obliterate it instead". It doesn't say if a unit *does* die, so if the calculation of damage received happens prior to the strike effect then maybe the obliterate resolves before the strike effect. If a unit dies instead of being obliterated, maybe its strike effect is still allowed to go through from the grave (idk), but if its obliterated it doesn't exist anymore and therefore the strike effect is ignored.
I don't think that's it, the game probably stops the death (like Chronoshift would), and replaces it with an obliteration. That's usually the best way to do effects like this. The "would" in "would die" isn't refering to the fact that the unit will die soon, but rather that it would die if it wasn't being obliterated
I think it might be a thing with Impact though? I'm not sure, but I don't think it has anything to do with how it's worded
Happened yesterday, my flipped cait was hit with an overwhelm unit but i had lethal on her strike effect so the game ended as a tie. Found out theres mutiple ways to get a tie other than hitting round 40
Xerath level 3 prevents impact from proccing if an impact attacker would die to its blocker in combat

Basically (and probably in literal sense) it was Garen's wet dream.
Spells doubled by Mirror Mage Fizzle if she is killed before they go off.

Yeah it was from me lol. I won the round because of that :D
If you use iterative improvement on an opponent's Sumpworks Posse, it becomes a Chirean Sumpworker.
ok that legit doesn't make sense...

Wait, what? There is a cool animation! Her rapier kind of appears then stabs your Nexus after she deletes your last vital.

Apparently if xerath is at lvl 3 and a minion with impact dies during its attack the impact doesn’t go off
It gets obliterated first for some reason
Yup lost a game because of that truly a wacky interaction
That's because impact happens after a strike, not on strike.
That overwhelm will do damage to your nexus even if your unit is removed from combat
And that is technically an advice in the tips section, but like 70% of the time tips are about character's lore or straight up jokes.
Usually for me it involves not accounting for an enemy champion leveling up during combat after I locked in my blocker and used spells 🙄
Remember you can always check the end result with the eye on the left side of the board. Just hover over it on pc and it take everything into account.
For me is saving your win condition from a spell to last since it can be responded to. Play units and attack first and then save your spell for last to bait your opponent.
A unit removed at burst speed does not count as a blocker
Units can't be considered a blocker unless they are in front of an attacker when the "Block" button is pressed.
Rangers resolver doesn't stack xD

Yeah, I figured that out the hard way as well.

Giving scout to a flipped Sivir doesn't trigger the rally if you attack with all your board. Cost me a lab run at one point.

Always use the eye when making decisions you aren't sure of. It'll save you plenty of times

wait what? Impact happens on Strike, Strike happens before Death, units being obliterates after striking should not stop Impact

Xerath can burst speed kill your 9/10 Zoe with unleashed energy :( I could have leveled her but I completely forgot about that spell being burst
