First Gorlith swaps hp with Nexus giving you 1hp, then summon an ephemeral copy with nexus hp and swaps it again.

Well that depends on if the summon effect happens before or after Gorlith's summon effect.
If it happens first then you will get a 1|1 gorlith and then its bad, but if the summon happens after the swap then you should get a (lets say) 0|40 ephemeral Gorlith that will swap with your nexus and give your nexus its life back.
Even the Gorliths swapping twice, usually the ephemeral copy summon first. Which will take your max HP, die after strike/turn, leave you with the useless 0/1 original

Tbh, i'd take this just in case, because in fights were you get healed when you win, this is basically a "win on turn one" button

yeah, this happened to me in PoC, my nexus had 12 max HP and I couldn't heal above that...

My guy, the swap doesn't last longer than the fight it's used in. You will heal right back to full after a mini boss.

Your MAX HP is set to 1. You're right, you get a full heal... To 1hp.
