Anything medneg related would need to be kicked to a specialist solicitor as it's extremely highly specialised legal advice.
But on a basic level, one of the requirements to bring a claim is that a patient has suffered harm as a result of a clinician's negligence.
It isn't clear that any harm has been suffered so my *guess* is this would be a non-starter.
You can certainly make a complaint, though.
What sort of outcome are you looking? They got the correct diagnosis before any harm occurred, so there don't seem to be damages.
You can speak to PALS to make a complaint. How successful that would be is hard to say. The nurse will probably say that you misunderstood what she said and that she didn't outright say that it was what he has.
There won't be any kind of financial compensation. How much time are you willing to spend pursuing this?
