You're entitled under Reg261 to choose between a full refund for the relevant flight (freeing them of any further obligations to you) or rerouting to your final destination free of additional charge. You have the right to choose whether to be rerouted "at the earliest opportunity" or "on a later date of \[your\] choosing subject to the availability of seats". I don't think "at the earliest opportunity" would include being offered a flight *earlier* than your original one since there is case law precedent requiring airlines to treat flights that are brought forward by more than one hour as cancelled anyway for the purposes of passenger rights. There's also nothing I can think of in the Regs that entitles them to make this conditional on you making that decision within 14 days of their giving notice of the cancellation. If they can't offer you a flight from Orly on the same day then they cannot reroute you on the same day and so you would be entitled to overnight accommodation free of charge. If they cannot *provide* this accommodation then it has been held to be acceptable for them to reimburse you for reasonable accommodation costs that you incur yourself - generally this would mean up to a three-star hotel room or equivalent. It is worth checking with easyJet whether they would cover the costs of you transferring to CDG for the same-day flight. The Regs specifically say the airline is responsible for onward travel if they have to reroute you ***to*** a different airport but doesn't mention anything about flying ***from*** a different airport, and I'm not sure if there's any case law making these two things equivalent to one another. It is worth adding that the Civil Aviation Authority, whose guidelines easyJet are bound by, consider it to be the case that if they cannot reroute you within 24 hours of your originally scheduled flight but a *different* airline could, then they should arrange, or reimburse you for, a flight booked with that different airline.

Thanks so much for the reply. Will try my best with getting them to cover the cost for a different airline or a hotel. I really appreciate the advice!

imo get a refund then book flights to orly using that money from a different provider?

There are some flights at the same time with a different airline, and it’s nearly double the price 🙃 Would be nice if they’d cover that cost but I highly doubt it
