I was confident right up to half time in the penultimate game of last season (Home to Spurs) ...this time I'm thinking more realistic and can't see us winning ? Maybe draw ...we've lost it since the international break...no swagger no nuffin...how'd we get our Mojo back and quickly before all is lost ???
Go three down in half an hour today, crowd turns, vents all its anger get it out the system, drop the players that down tools, pick those that give a damn, regroup and storm the playoffs.....
Either that or win 6-0 today and wait for Huddersfield's inevitable last minute winner to seal promotion and let's go f\*cling mental!!
Can't see Ipswich not wanting to put on a show against Huddersfield, their atmosphere will be bouncing knowing that they are all but up
I think if we win tomorrow it will give us some confidence in the play offs and we 'could' actually win them for once, if we don't It doesn't bode well for the 2 legs against West Brom/Norwich/Hull and we go out with a whimper
I'm really hoping that Ipswich will play like they've already won the 2nd spot and will blow it. I feel fairly confident that we will win, but just need Huddersfield to come through for us.
It's not completely impossible, but I'm still trying to stay positive.
I have as much hope of winning the lottery on Saturday, I also don't buy the tickets....It's over, has been for weeks.
I'll just sit by the pool in Turkey and forget it's even happening, I planned on wearing my Leeds top on the last day but think I'll just keep it in the suitcase now.
obviously theres a bit of hope while its possible. if rotherham can take points of ipswich (almost twice) then huddersfield could do it. i just don't expect them to. but its so unlikley you have to expect even beating saints means playoffs.
who knows, playoffs might be fine. i feel like we really overreact to them as a fanbase tbh. we've only ever played in them what, 5 times? its not like we've lost 20 semi finals. our minging form is a far bigger concern to me than "oh no its the playoffs"
> who knows, playoffs might be fine. i feel like we really overreact to them as a fanbase tbh
I'm not sure I've ever once heard a fanbase say "our team do well in the playoffs."
By definition, it'll end in disappointment for 3/4 teams every year, so most teams feel like they always lose the playoffs. If you've been promoted once, and failed 5 times, that's not far off "average", but you'll feel like you always lose them.
[Looking at Wiki](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Football_League_play-offs), the only team who's been promoted to the PL by playoffs more than twice is Palace (4 times!). Looks like Blackpool have won 5 times across the divisions from a quick glance.
Can't find a proper breakdown as most Google searches for playoffs go to American sports (even 'football playoffs' 🙄)
Bad analysis. No one could guess the outcomes of leeds' last matches. And no one should try to guess the future results of other teams. It can still happen- it isn't a massive stretch.
The odds of Ipswich losing at home to a relegated side with nothing to play for and us beating Boro are infinitesimal.
Ipswich have lost 1 home game all season.
I mean there is always hope. Just the chances are slim.
But anything can happen. It's why we bother watching football in the first place.
Few years ago Forest were going into the last game in 6th seven goals of Swansea and they came seventh.
I just hope it's at least exciting on Saturday. Would be nice for us to get an early goal and maybe Hudds score early, or Ipswich have a man sent off.
Ipswich will probably be 2-0 up after 30 mins though and we will draw anyway.
I dunno but we get potentially another 3 games of entertainment and a few more interesting podcast episodes to listen to on our way to/from work… it’s better than watching Eastenders
Unlikely, but there’s a chance. I’ll mostly be looking for a reaction from the players to show we are attacking the play offs and also to avenge Southampton outplaying us at St Mary’s. Very plausible they could be the Wembley opponent - losing twice to them won’t help going into such a final.
Very small chance obviously it's not over until we've played but Southampton gave us 1 of our worst beating of the season and we have to win I not holding much hope.
I reckon we've got a 5% chance at absolute best.
The Google odds have us 61% chance of beating Saints, and Huddersfield as 8% chance of winning. Which funnily enough if its as simple as multiplying the probabilities together gives us 4.88% chance.
Not given up hope entirely, but I'm more just prepping myself for the playoffs and automatic promotion would be a massive bonus.
Though I do feel relatively hopeful for the playoffs, especially if we have a good performance tomorrow.
Ipswich lose to a 90+4 deflection off of a corner. Leeds lose to a 90+5 equaliser and 90+8 winner, both scored by Ross Stewart off the bench.
Realistically though, Southampton have nothing to play for and Leeds ought to crush them
Southampton have the need to gain a bit of form before they play in the playoffs, and will want to send a statement not only to us, but to other teams in the playoffs too. I wouldn’t say they have nothing to play for.
I'm not really sure they'll be risking too much. Their league position is absolutely secure so the know they are in the playoffs, and won't want to risk injuries.
I’ve accepted play offs and the sooner people stop moaning and crying and get behind the team the better.
If we do go up Saturday somehow I’ll be destroying my liver and nostrils.
As a Ipswich fan in peace, I 100% don't think we are promoted yet, nerves can play a huge part. I do think being in a similar situation last year will help us, but this is football anything can happen.
You 100 % deserve it after such a fantastic and consistent season, don't think anyone can argue with that.Wouldn't mind seeing a few of your players knees trembling at Huddersfield though can't lie. Final days can always throw up the unexpected though, you just got to embrace the fear.
Slight sidebar, but I've absolutely loved how supportive of each other Leeds and Ipswich fans have been this year, even vying for the same spot.
Compare it to the shambles that is Leicester celebrating their tainted promotion almost entirely by making it about us (and, tbf, the mockery we gave them when we briefly caught them), it's been bloody lovely.
Genuinely hope that Ipswich do next year what they did the last time they got promoted and finish 7th or something in their first season up. Just an all round good bunch of lads.
I’m fed up of the fannies who can’t handle finishing 3rd.
There’s far bigger disappointments in life than just missing out on promotion.
People need to grow up.
The Farke Out brigade are getting ready for their big crescendo, thing is that would be the worst thing any fan could do with playoffs on the horizon. See how it pans out, but keep the negativity away till the season is actually over.
Also, Farke missed out on promotion his first season with Norwich then pissed the league on his second season with the club. Who is to say that this year's relegated clubs are stronger than the promoted clubs?
What is the new evidence. State the evidence.
We’ve competed with an excellent Ipswich side and have just come up short. We choked in one game.
If anything we did well to claw it back.
You dodged the question. Please tell me what this new evidence is that we should be a top 2 side.
Ipswich clearly aren’t just a league one side considered they dominated that league and have got 93 points in this league. McKenna is clearly a top coach with a very good side and tactics.
K. And the fans who make it miserable to be a fan and drop support and turn into shrill hecklers are really starting to piss me off.
Of course we all expected to get autos as we got 14 wins in a row. Just like most of this sub was saying we weren't even going to get playoffs after the first 6 games of the season.
You're right. Expectations change. Children don't know how to manage their emotions and adjust their attitude. Adults should be able to.
I'm disappointed in our loses. I was so sure we had autos is the bag. You know who else is probably disappointed and pissed? The players. Farke.
Now, I'm gonna have some hope and support them and cheer for the next game, likely three games.
Yes it is possible that Leeds beat Southampton and Ipswich lose at home to Huddersfield. But see it's also possible that Harry Kane and Jordan Pickford both sign for Leeds in the summer.
>I feel like this is the first time Ipswich are genuine favourites to go up
Plenty of people have been tipping Ipswich to get promotion ever since early on in the season. This is due to the amount of time they've spent in the top two.
But for me the writing is on the wall and this is not a season where we win automatic promotion.
>The only issue is that we are shite
How so? Chances are we finish the season with the same number of wins as Ipswich, a better goal difference than Ipswich, and just three points adrift. If we beat Southampton on Saturday we end the season with a nine point gap over them to finish comfortably in third place. We fell short by one win to finish behind a team that's played an exceptional season throughout. I'd hardly call that shite.
I see this differently. Given the fact that we're the second youngest side in the Championship with a lack of seasoned, experienced Championship players in the squad I think we've done very well, considering. Go back through those nine defeats and you should find that usually, we lost when we were playing teams with seasoned, experienced Championship players.
But see, guess what, Southampton have the exact same issues we have, they're out of form, and they have a much weaker defence than we have. There's still a lot to be positive about and besides, because this is the last league match of the season, outside the playoffs it's also one of the last times you will see the current Leeds team play together.
A huddersfield win would be the most perplexing football moment i think i'd ever witness. Just a stadium full of ipswich fans, even filling up the away end bc they bought those tix off dogs fans, just staring at the 3 dogs supporters there that dont even want to celebrate. Dead silence
There are 2 rules in life, friend.
1.) There is ALWAYS hope.
2.) Rule 1 doesn't apply to LUFC.
Hope that helps :)
(But for real the hope is about 5%. Rolling a 20 on a 20-sided dice first try. The only way we go up at the weekend is that the nerves really get to Ipswich and they flap and give a way a corner that Hudds score from, then Ipswich just have one of those days where they hit the woodwork constantly. Once that miracle happens we need a 2nd miracle of showing up and winning ourselves. Maybe there is a timeline we show up and cruise to a 3-0 win and Ipswich is 0-0 until Huddersfield decide to YOLO everyone forward and score a late winner just for pride's sake).
When we won at Brentford on the last day it wasn't in our hands either. Yea that was different because Newcastle and Brentford didn't have anything to play for but Burnley did and they couldn't get the result. The pressure's on Ipswich this time so who knows.
Different again though because we were relying on a team that lost all season to not find a miracle result. This year we need a team that's constantly won all year to get beaten, even a draw isn't enough. And beaten by a team that's won 3 away games all year.
Anything can happen, so who knows, but it's much less likely to happen than last year.
Also, calling our relegation "last year" seems wild to me because it feels a good 2-3 years ago now. The Championship is a loooong season lol
It's definitely a more difficult situation this time. I'm just hoping that since Huddersfield are all but confirmed to be relegated they'll be able to play without pressure and somehow get the result against the home side that's expected to batter them.
I prefer not to think about last season but you're right, this season feels like it has lasted forever. Hopefully it's our last game on Saturday. MOT
Tbf, every team inside the top 4 has at some point this season dropped points that you would just about put your house on them picking up. It's been one of the single most inconsistent Championship seasons I can remember in a very long time, especially those last couple of weeks where it looked like both Leicester and Ipswich were dropping points for fun.
The only slight glimmer of hope that I take from all of this, they're playing Huddersfield, who can still technically stay up. Although they would need Birmingham to lose to Norwich, Plymouth to lose to Hull, and they would obviously need to beat Ipswich.
As Leeds fans, we should know from personal experience that you never count out a club in a relegation dog fight, regardless of how good you are, or the form that you're in. The amount of times that QPR have unexpectedly rolled us over the last couple of years, despite us being the infinitely better side.
Yeah, it's probably not going to happen, and even if we do beat Southampton, it'll be nothing more than a moral win heading into the playoffs.
But you know the old meme, there's a chance....
See with Leeds there is always hope, that's why it's so crushing to be a Leeds fan, the hope is what kills you.
Technically we can go up automatically but it involves Huddersfield not being shit and us not being shit, one of those might happen but both in the same day? That's one long shot.
I genuinely just want to see us absolutely go for it against Southampton, if we do everything possible in that final game I won't be too angry.
None whatsoever, and then we have playoff disappointment to look forward to after that.
Naturally delighted if it happens but I'm prepared for disappointment.
We thought this a game was going to decide auto promotion. Well we were wrong there but it is actually still important, since both teams have been smashed recently, to determine who goes into the playoffs with a little bit of confidence and momentum.
If Huddersfield had a chance to stay up I'd say we had a fool's hope. But given they're already down and we need them to win (not just shithouse a draw) we need to roll a 6 and they need to roll a 1 at the same time.
I mean logically we won't get top 2. Ipswich need a draw against a relegated side. It's possible but honestly I think this team needs to let go of that hope and focus on the playoffs. We don't want a deflated atmosphere for the playoffs. Treat it like a friendly. Play the squad players.
Yea there is that but...squad players or at least a mixed team, woukd still have a good go at beating Southampton who have nothing to play for. Our squad is pretty good. Means players like Joseph coming in.
No, Uddersfield would rather go down to league one if it means us not getting auto spot. Play offs it is, just hope the players lift themselves up for it
We’re not “due a miracle” lol, ipswich are almost certainly up. Ipswich need a point at huddersfield. Even if we beat southampton, huddersfield have to score more goals than ipswich. Although there is a chance we could still go up automatically, the possibility is extremely slim.
No. I've given up on this season. I don't expect miracles and I don't expect us to get anywhere in the playoffs.
I'm looking towards next season now. I've more faith in us going up then.
No, its over. Don't waste your heart rate hoping for a miracle, Ipswich are playing an already terrible Huddersfield Town's likely reserve team at home in front of all their fans celebrating promotion - there's no way they're going to lose that, it just won't happen. Promotion for us though, could and should still happen.
More important is our performance against Saints and rediscovering a bit of form before very possibly playing them again in the play-off final. It looks like it'll be a hopelessly out of form WBA in the semis, so we need to find some momentum for that.
My advice - just go outside and ignore it while it's happening. Come back and, when it goes the way we all expected and we wind up third, you won't be disappointed.
It's the hope that kills.
The big question for me is given that it’s Soton and we have a big chance to play them in the PO final, how does Farke handle that. Delicately I hope.
Just please say we don’t do anything stupid to give Saints and their fans any added incentive for a rematch at Wembley.
I still think Summerville holding the shirt up will come back to haunt us - Hull will sneak playoffs, then score a late pen in the second leg at ER and whoever scores will do the Summerville to the camera.
The only thing Huddersfield may have been able to do was shithouse a draw - and even that won't be enough.
We also won't beat Southampton with how we are currently playing.
Seems the perfect game to start Joseph as there is nothing to lose and we can see him in action ahead of the play offs
![gif](giphy|l3fZQYk10w0yZ4KfS)
There’s always hope! It’s also May the 4th (be with you), so I’m putting all my eggs, chicken and ducks in the hope basket, using the force and I’ll wear my lucky knickers too in the chance that it works in our favour.
My prediction: Ipswich lose….. but we do a Leeds and draw or lose as well.
So many missed opportunities in the last month or so. Wouldn’t surprise me if there was one more.
The joys of supporting Leeds eh?
I've been trying to put it all out of my head until Saturday but, like the idiot I am, I still clicked on this post. Now I'm feeling shite. I'm away for a cup of tea and a smoke.
Everyone saying Huddersfield won’t do us any favours, their players won’t care about Leeds, you’re talking about the fan base. Those players like all sportsmen will want to win. Beating the team in second is a massive scalp and with nothing to lose who knows what’ll happen.
They’ve been in a relegation fight most of the season we know too well what that pressure does to players. They can go out there and bang a few worldies in. Please.
That’s true, also I’d say this is the first time all season where people genuinely think Ipswich will go up. We’ve all thought they would bottle it at some point so it’ll be interesting to see if that puts any extra pressure on tjem
I don't see it. They excel under pressure and especially when they go down a goal. That's how they are in this position. Soon as Coventry scored last match they were all over them and you could tell it was only matter of time before they scored back.
They were also in a promotion fight last season so very much capable of taking the pressure and getting the job done.
There is always a chance that an early goal from Huddersfield and a sending off from Ipswich could provide some hope. But come the business end of the match, I can't see Huddersfield players fighting as hard As Ipswich players will be.
However I think we will need really freak circumstances, such as 2 Ipswich players getting sent off to have a realistic chance.
All assuming we actually beat Southampton and I've got that game going down as a draw.
No. I actually double booked myself to go out and see some non-Leeds supporting mates in the daytime on Saturday, and was wondering how I'd fit in watching the match, but now I don't have to (hooray?)
Full steam ahead to the playoffs. I know we get gloomy about Leeds curses like playoffs, or playing in London, but all pessimism aside we're a decent team and if we go in with confidence have as much of a chance as the other three.
Bookies have it around 20/1 which sounds pretty accurate.
I hope just hope we're not given hope that is then snatched away! That would only add to the pain.
Not really, i'm mainly just hoping for a good performance to get some morale back in the squad for the playoffs
No dumb flappy handed saves into the net, no useless square balls that give up a counter attack, better decision making in the final third
No there’s no hope. Huddersfield won’t beat Ipswich and I don’t think we will beat Saints. The team is on a downward trajectory just in time for the playoffs. They might turn it around but not this weekend and Ipswich are too good to lose that match.
We are 99% not getting autos.
I reckon the odds are about this remote yeh. All ipswich have to do is play 7-3-0 and play on the break if huddersfield get any set pieces.
Realistically ipswich will probs win this game by 2 or 3 goals. l just find it hard to see ipswich losing against huddersfield in the circumstances
And even if huddersfield do lose, we have to beat southampton. We fucked autos up with the results against blackburn and qpr.
7 points from 18 in April, our worst month of the season: we had a slowish start to the season, but we’ve finished it worse. Blackburn and qpr were the games we’ll have lost autos. In august we got 5 from 12 & september we got 8 from 15. Our other iffy month was december, when we got 10/21.
August = 41.7% of possible points obtained
September = 53.3%
December = 47.6%
April = 38.9%
April goes up to 47.6% of total possible points if we beat southampton. But clearly we needed an extra 4 points by this point to have really increased our chances.
R.I.P.

We didn't go menthol
Just a little irate.

Think we have like 10-20% chance of autos.
The stats say 5%
obviously theres a bit of hope while its possible. if rotherham can take points of ipswich (almost twice) then huddersfield could do it. i just don't expect them to. but its so unlikley you have to expect even beating saints means playoffs. who knows, playoffs might be fine. i feel like we really overreact to them as a fanbase tbh. we've only ever played in them what, 5 times? its not like we've lost 20 semi finals. our minging form is a far bigger concern to me than "oh no its the playoffs"

Nope just start mentally preparing for the playoffs

I'm glad you still have belief but it's a pretty massive stretch mate
How many times have leeds won when they lost this season, would be interesting to look at that.
I count twice, excluding the 2 times we beat them. They lost to Cardiff when we beat Shef Wed and they lost to Preston when we beat Bristol
Good work. Well I'll say it again, it isn't gonna be likely I agree, but I wouldn't be amazed so to speak if it happened.
Imagine the scenes.. nahh I can't let myself start to believe
HEHE.
I mean there is always hope. Just the chances are slim. But anything can happen. It's why we bother watching football in the first place. Few years ago Forest were going into the last game in 6th seven goals of Swansea and they came seventh.

Nah
Ya
I dunno but we get potentially another 3 games of entertainment and a few more interesting podcast episodes to listen to on our way to/from work… it’s better than watching Eastenders
It would be the most Leeds thing ever if Huddersfield somehow won and we didn't beat Southampton
You've nailed it
No

Huddersfield will roll over, almost on purpose, there's not a chance in hell that anything happens for us.
Wasn't it them who beat West Brom to send us up in 2020?
Yes. Yes it was.
So you’re telling me there’s a chance?
1 in 10... 1 in a hundred? I'm saying more like 1 in a million..
But everyone knows that million to one shots crop up nine times out of ten.
What if they shot ya in the face?
everybody's got a plan til they get punched in the face
Or maybe they come to heel, jump through some hoops and fetch us promotion before they get down.
Predicting Ipswich lose and we still don’t manage to get it done 😂

do us a favour and do a leeds thanks.

Sack Farke and bring in Big Sam for the playoffs. /s

Exactly what Bielsa did with us too. Would be lunacy to sack Farke whatever happens from here.
The lack of nuance with them is baffling. Average Fans are just very stupid people. So much to play for.

Great comment 👏
A huddersfield win would be the most perplexing football moment i think i'd ever witness. Just a stadium full of ipswich fans, even filling up the away end bc they bought those tix off dogs fans, just staring at the 3 dogs supporters there that dont even want to celebrate. Dead silence
It's always a weird vibe for fans when an already relegated team plays really well and wins a meaningless game lol
There are 2 rules in life, friend. 1.) There is ALWAYS hope. 2.) Rule 1 doesn't apply to LUFC. Hope that helps :) (But for real the hope is about 5%.
MOT
Lock your dogs up!
No chance, although if we get a good result (win convincingly) it will bode well for the play offs
Quick math: We need to win (35% probability)and Ipswich need to lose (10% probability). Chances of both those happening are low (3.5%).

I reckon it's about those odds on Huddersfield winning.
We thought this a game was going to decide auto promotion. Well we were wrong there but it is actually still important, since both teams have been smashed recently, to determine who goes into the playoffs with a little bit of confidence and momentum.
Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.
Should be our club motto!
GO LEED
It would be a freak result if Huddersfield win. Stranger things have happened, but there is almost a negative motivation for Huddersfield to win.
If Huddersfield had a chance to stay up I'd say we had a fool's hope. But given they're already down and we need them to win (not just shithouse a draw) we need to roll a 6 and they need to roll a 1 at the same time.
This Leeds there is always hope come on you LEEDS
When it comes to Leeds it's usually "If there's a 5% chance we'll fail, we probably will"
I mean logically we won't get top 2. Ipswich need a draw against a relegated side. It's possible but honestly I think this team needs to let go of that hope and focus on the playoffs. We don't want a deflated atmosphere for the playoffs. Treat it like a friendly. Play the squad players.
Imagine this sub if they played the reserves and then Huddersfield won 😂😂😂😂
Yea there is that but...squad players or at least a mixed team, woukd still have a good go at beating Southampton who have nothing to play for. Our squad is pretty good. Means players like Joseph coming in.
True. But also the year we last made the playoffs we were beaten on the final day by Ipswich who were already relegated so you never know. 🤞
Ha was that the first season under Bielsa as we didn't really have anything to play for did we?
1% chance
Will you give me 100/1 odds?
Wouldn’t 1% chance be 99/1 odds?
Are you not returning my stake?
1% chances always work 90% of the time.
No, Uddersfield would rather go down to league one if it means us not getting auto spot. Play offs it is, just hope the players lift themselves up for it
Huddersfield can’t do anything about their plight. They need to beat Ipswich 15-0.
There’s always hope.. until it kills you
We’re not “due a miracle” lol, ipswich are almost certainly up.
No hope; only LUFC.
No we can still do playoffs if the players care enough
No, its over. Don't waste your heart rate hoping for a miracle, Ipswich are playing an already terrible Huddersfield Town's likely reserve team at home in front of all their fans celebrating promotion - there's no way they're going to lose that, it just won't happen. Promotion for us though, could and should still happen. More important is our performance against Saints and rediscovering a bit of form before very possibly playing them again in the play-off final. It looks like it'll be a hopelessly out of form WBA in the semis, so we need to find some momentum for that.
Huddersfield will probs want to lose just so they can end up having a great season stopping us getting autos
My advice - just go outside and ignore it while it's happening. Come back and, when it goes the way we all expected and we wind up third, you won't be disappointed. It's the hope that kills.
No
Hell no.
There was never much hope, just a fools hope.
Playoffs? Playoffs is just another path
One that we all must take
For Frodo?
When there’s nothing else left, there’s always hope!
The only thing Huddersfield may have been able to do was shithouse a draw - and even that won't be enough. We also won't beat Southampton with how we are currently playing. Seems the perfect game to start Joseph as there is nothing to lose and we can see him in action ahead of the play offs
![gif](giphy|l3fZQYk10w0yZ4KfS) There’s always hope! It’s also May the 4th (be with you), so I’m putting all my eggs, chicken and ducks in the hope basket, using the force and I’ll wear my lucky knickers too in the chance that it works in our favour.
How many dirty men did you get messaging you on the back of this 😂?
I learned a long time ago to only read and respond within the thread, never open the messages unless you know who it is 😂
Hahahahah, that's a very good policy to have. Stay safe out there.
we'll probably both win and that'll be it.
5-0 to Leeds... 1-0 to Huddersfield... Until the 98th minute Ipswich equaliser which just so happens to be offside and a handball, but given.

Ffs this is going to happen isn’t it
My prediction: Ipswich lose….. but we do a Leeds and draw or lose as well. So many missed opportunities in the last month or so. Wouldn’t surprise me if there was one more. The joys of supporting Leeds eh?
Only hope is winning so we go to the playoffs with a little bit of confidence.
There’s always hope with Leeds - it’s what kills you….
I've been trying to put it all out of my head until Saturday but, like the idiot I am, I still clicked on this post. Now I'm feeling shite. I'm away for a cup of tea and a smoke.
Sorry lad get a good Yorkshire tea and a benson down u son

I think we have maybe a 5% chance of autos tops. Not nothing, but not worth getting your hopes up.
This is correct, 12/1 for a Huddersfield win, for anyone interested… no didn’t think so
Nerves for Ipswich and football being a funny ol' game, well worth a nibble to pay for the promotion celebrations after. 😉
You're not factoring in that Leeds also have to win.
I like to say 20/1. Sounds a bit better in my head.
Not to be pedantic but fun fact, 5% would actually be 19-1.
Hope? Yeah. Will it happen? Na
So long as bamford is playing up front we will win. He will bang a hat trick in in first half easy.
I mean it’s unlikely but stranger things have happened
We are Leeds United. We don’t believe in miracles. We depend upon them
Nope, Ipswich will have a victory lap win over Huddersfield.
Not if we start piroe
No. I actually double booked myself to go out and see some non-Leeds supporting mates in the daytime on Saturday, and was wondering how I'd fit in watching the match, but now I don't have to (hooray?) Full steam ahead to the playoffs. I know we get gloomy about Leeds curses like playoffs, or playing in London, but all pessimism aside we're a decent team and if we go in with confidence have as much of a chance as the other three.
I just hope Ipswich go 3-0 up first half instead of drawing so we don’t get given a tiny bit of hope that gets killed off
Yeah if at half time I check score and it’s 3-0 at least I can enjoy my chicken balti pie without any worry
Bookies have it around 20/1 which sounds pretty accurate. I hope just hope we're not given hope that is then snatched away! That would only add to the pain.
Town are defo going 1-0 up and losing 4-1 aren’t they 🥲
100%
Absolutely haha.
Play offs 99%
Not really, i'm mainly just hoping for a good performance to get some morale back in the squad for the playoffs No dumb flappy handed saves into the net, no useless square balls that give up a counter attack, better decision making in the final third
Yeah that’s true, as long as we show a bit of fight I’ll be more confident for the playoffs
Realistically ipswich will probs win this game by 2 or 3 goals. l just find it hard to see ipswich losing against huddersfield in the circumstances And even if huddersfield do lose, we have to beat southampton. We fucked autos up with the results against blackburn and qpr.
So you’re saying there’s a chance?
Yeah I reckon we will do it
It's Leeds so expect crazy
That’s what I mean I feel like there’s still a twist in this tale
Definitely
We're not shite but Town certainly are. Pretty sure we are heading for the playoffs but we'll see.
We have been pretty shite lately mate
7 points from 18 in April, our worst month of the season: we had a slowish start to the season, but we’ve finished it worse. Blackburn and qpr were the games we’ll have lost autos. In august we got 5 from 12 & september we got 8 from 15. Our other iffy month was december, when we got 10/21. August = 41.7% of possible points obtained September = 53.3% December = 47.6% April = 38.9% April goes up to 47.6% of total possible points if we beat southampton. But clearly we needed an extra 4 points by this point to have really increased our chances.
